2023:

Andreas Seidl signs a deal to become Team Principal of Audi F1 Team, joining the F1 Grid as the 11th team for 2024

July 2023:

The Audi F1 Driver Academy is created, Barbados native Zane Maloney is the first to join the Academy

In the same month, Audi swoop to steal promising 16-year old Brit Arvid Lindblad from the Red Bull team to add to the academy, but Arvid is not in contention for a seat, agreeing terms to join in 2024 as an affiliate

November 2023

After months of speculation, Audi have finally confirmed their first full-time F1 Driver

Their German quota is fulfilled, agreeing terms with Nico Hülkenberg to a 2 year contract 🇩🇪

January 2024

The Audi Team is in a bit of a mess, the season is just around the corner and the team is yet to secure a 2nd driver??

With 21/22 seats being confirmed for the 2024 season, the team cannot look on the current grid for a 2nd driver, so they leave the decision to their ‘board’ to vote upon…

Audi also needs to make another call, so they again turn to the ‘board’

If history is anything to go by, the German manufacturers have bagged themselves the most powerful engine on the grid, but not the most efficient

Tonight I just started setting up the team

The staff in full, we are using Kick Sauber’s staff to replicate their move to Audi irl, with the exception of race engineers

The initial livery and race suits, though these will both be edited in much further detail when I have the time

🇩🇪 Nico suffered a lot throughout the race, running wide whilst battling the RB’s before Perez who had just pit tried to take out Lawson ahead of him whilst they were battling with eachother, clipping Lawson and slowing which lost Nico behind him several seconds, all this and even a pit stop error could not stop the late charge from Hulkenberg to get past Tsunoda and to score the team DEBUT POINTS!, P10

🇩🇪 Nico battled well at the start on hards, but even though he started dropping down the order on hards we knew the race would come back to us since he was on a 1 stopper, unfortunately was unable to keep in touch with Tsunoda for P10 and finished P11

🇳🇿 Liam had a horrible first stint and when he boxed came out P21, passed Cordeel and a couple of other cars and then spun off and damaged his rear wing whilst battling Ocon, forcing him to be called in to retire the car, DNF

Red Flag on Lap 6 🚩

Hamilton locks up into the back of Lawson, ending both of their races, Bottas is then hit by Sainz who hits Lawson’s stationary car at the same corner, ending ALL 4 of their races 😭

🇩🇪 Nico put in a MEGA drive, race pace was incredible and he tiptoed home fighting Russell on Medium tyres with 21% life left on them, he benefitted from the red flag and comes home P6 🔥🔥

🇳🇿 Liam looked promising early on, moving from P15 to P12, but the huge red flag crash on Lap 6 involving him, Hamilton, Bottas & Sainz ended his race, but did benefit the team, unlucky for him, DNF

Incredible stuff, bag 8 points and move ahead of RB to 6th in the Championship, Nico moves to 9th in the Drivers’ Championship

• Verstappen cruises home to keep his 100% winning record going
• Tsunoda scores a point in his home race

🇩🇪 Nico looked set throughout the entire race for a podium finish as he held P3 with a comfortable margin to Piastri, but a mechanical fault with the engine saw him severely slow and slowly come home to finish P5, heartbreaking

🇳🇿 Liam was affected by similar issues but not as severe, I thought he might genuinely be on for points as he held P6 all the way until lap 30, the changing track conditions damaged him heavily and he forgot how to drive, dropping down the order and finishing P13

We have now overtaken Aston Martin for P4! The worry will be trying to maintain it as we are still -900k for balance so we cannot manufacture failed parts, and we are going to need new engine units soon which will set us back more millions, and trying to not break the cost cap

I have decided to not manufacture any parts for the rest of the season in concern with the cost cap, instead we will use money to complete 1/2 more research projects for 2025

This does mean we will slightly go over cost cap as we are probably having to pay for new engine components but hopefully no more than 5-10m

Realistically at worse we will get P5, which is still a great first season and comes with good amount of prize money

Next up is Austin, no FP1 for Bearman as it’s a sprint weekend

A MAJOR, downright stupid grid shake up for the 2025 season, which sees transfers like George Russell ending his Mercedes relationship to join Alpine, Gasly rechase his Red Bull redemption dreams by joining RB, Fernando Alonso joining McLaren for the 3rd time, and somehow another F1 Team being interested in Logan Sargeant
