And Alonso overshot turn 1, wrecking his tyres and going form P16 to P17

#

Stroll boxes lap 19 and emerges P14, behind Hamilton and ahead of Lawson

#

Who is being chased by Alonso afte rhe reclaimed P16 from Bottas

#

Make it a 14-15 on lap 20

#

By lap 22 the pack has seperated, leaving Stroll alone and Alonso no one to help him get his tyre life back

#

And Bearman ends up in the gravel at turn 5, recovery took ages, he's at the back

#

He was behind us anyway tho

#

On lap 24 Alonso and his group caught up to Stroll, Alonso got ahead

#

Considering they started 10 grid spaces apart, should I be happy or sad?

#

Probably happy

#

By lap 26 Piastri made his way through the back and passes Stroll too, who is now P15

#

Unfortunately passing Alonso lap 27 too

#

On lap 31 Leclerc spun on turn 1, he coes back in P8

#

Meanwhile Alonso has a 6.5 second stop and emerges P17

#

On lap 34 Stroll manages to get past Hamilton, putting him back in P11

#

Meanwhile Gasly went into the gravel in turn 6, coming back P6

#

He might have to park this race, Stroll may get Aston Martin a point

#

Then it will only be Haas without one, and their duo are 21-22 currently, don't fancy that anytime soon tbh

#

Not looking good for Russell either on lap 38

#

Gasly gets apuncture on lap 39 letting Stroll pass anyway, Aston points!

#

On lap 42 Alonso finds himself Stuck behind Hulkenberg as Antonelli comes in to lap him

#

He manages to gey by after Antonelli does

#

At least he can hold back the annoying white cars

#

Stroll pits lap 43 and emerges P16, behind Hamilton and the Hulkenberg train, yay

#

Lap 45: the train is broken after Hulkenberg pits, Perez very quickly catches up to and passes Alonso, Stroll also breaks through ending up right behind Alonso, 12-13

#

Alonso does his final pit lap 47 and emerges P18 - just behind Bortoleto, ahead of Hulkenberg

#

passing Bortoleto was easy, P17 starting lap 48

#

Hamilton closes the gap to Stroll lap 49 but I'm not worried - he has older harder tyres

#

Yeah he gave up on that idea pretty quick

#

On lap 50 Leclerc Sainz and Lindblad pit - Stroll emerged ahead of them all but Leclerc quickly took P9 back, but Stroll is P10

#

With 15 laps to go, Hamilton somehow took P10 form Stroll, this is bad

#

Meanwhile ALonso places Gasly between himself and Hulkenberg, P14 with an inevitable gap

#

On lap 56, with Stroll's struggles to claim a point, Sainz sneaks past, P12

#

On lap 60 we have something interesting, Verstappen lapped Stroll but then Stroll got by again - this means Stroll doesn't have to cede to Verstappen but everyone else still will, essentially turning Stroll into a lapping car that everyone must let by - now to just catch Sainz who formed a large gap after passing Hamilton

#

Well that's not happening

#

But what could happen is Alonso getting P13, with Lindblad just ahead

#

He butchered the opportunity on the second straight

#

Well, unfortunate, but what can you do with this car

#

First time Stroll beat Alonso in a race btw

#

Well anyway let's get out of there and say hello to...

robust elbow
#

Go Weeyums!

#

Last time out at Williams, I won with them... what the hell happened here

#

Notably they appear to be research enjoyers, the first I've seen

#

Wait - how are they designing and researching chassis at the same time?

#

Maybe if I show them how to make an underfloor again, everything will be good

#

(the chassis they designed was trash)

#

Targets are 18th for both for some reason

#

Hoo boy it's wet

#

A surprise at the top of FP! - the weather was everywhere, the setups are everywhere, good thing there's 3 of them
Sainz P19

#

In FP2 Antonelli span on his in lap, this lead the game to get confused and not pit him, causing him to just stop there

#

FP2 is topped by his teammate, where it's a shock to see both Cadillacs up there
Sainz P12 Albon P19

#

And he tops a dry FP3 too - Albon P15 Sainz P21

#

We got the double 100% at least

#

Quali went back to wet, the top didn;t change, good to see us get it when it matters more

#

Antonelli tops Q2, it's only one of us in Q3

#

And for a ncie surprise, Norris is on pole

#

Meet the masterplan

wet fox
#

Argentina DDoS'd the servers when Colapinto crashed, causing the game to crash too

#

Oh well, I'll resume when I can

wet fox
#

And we're off - a great start from Albon who outdid Hadjar and turn 1'd Piastri to get to P5

#

Sainz soared past Hulkenberg Perez and Colapinto for P12

#

Poor Piastri is P11

#

By lap 7, Albon is far behind Antonelli and far ahead of Hadjar

#

Sainz is in between the Cadillacs, no movement there either

#

Took until lap 10 for Sainz to make a move past Bottas, P11

#

On lap 15 the duo get past Lindblad but Sainz is still P11 after Lindblad lets Bottas past first

#

Sainz makes a move on Bottas again lap 18 but it just doesn't cut it

#

Until lap 19 where Bottas pits anyway

#

We both pit lap 23 - Albon emerges P6, one place lower than he was, but Hamilton ahead is on hards and hasn't pit yet

#

Sainz emerges P16 - undercut by Bottas, Lindblad and Hulkenberg who he passed way back on lap 1

#

Albon gets turn 4'd lap 25... pushing him down to P10

#

Bearman spun at turn 4 lap 27, going form P21 to P22, losing out to Ocon, Haas are having a good time

#

Sainz catches up to Hulkenberg lap 28, tried to get by and can't

#

Albon finally passes Hamilton lap 30, but not after he was passed by 3 other cars, P9

#

And on lap 31 he's past Lawson

#

As the rain starts, earlier than planned

#

Also Sainz got past Hulkenberg, P13

#

Bottas got turn 1'd lap 32, Sainz P12

#

And on lap 35 they get past Hamilton, who still hasn't pitted

#

On lap 37 Albon steals P5 form Leclerc

#

Next is Piastri, who turn 4'd Albon in the first place

#

Sainz finds himself in the points after overtaking Lindblad lap 39

#

We box for inters lap 41 - Albon emerges P6, overcutting Piastri, all alone

#

And Sainz emerges P10, with Perez behind

#

For some reason Perez is fast, overtaking Sainz on lap 42, P11

#

On lap 49 Hamilton wa sovertaken by Gasly so he got mad and crashed

#

Still in but heavily damaged

#

Sainz finally got a move on lap 54, overtaking Perez and Lawson to claim P9

#

With 15 laps to go, Albon make s amove on Hadjar, P5

#

He is closing in on Norris, but is it enough?

#

Albon catches up to Norris with 3 laps to go

#

They go down the final straight side by side...

#

And Albon wins the duel!

#

Well, what a race that was, and Mercedes didn't win!

#

The site now also has this graphic

#

Verstappen and Red Bull both jump to 3rd

#

Meanwhile I will jump to...

wet fox
#

Alright chat I can't guarantee I'll have tome tomorrow but I have time today so let's do it today
The state of Alpine looks okay, we just need to correct the high speed downforce and all looks epic

#

Not that there's any time to do that tho, nothing will happen these 4 days

#

Targets are Gasly 12th Colapinto 16th

wet fox
#

There's FP1 - topped by Antonelli, we're 13-14, De Palo is a bit of a shock

#

Mercedes 1-2 in the first SQ, Leclerc is out of SQ1! How did that happen?

#

The setups are a bit rough but that's what one practice does for ya

#

Disaster strikes in SQ2, Colapinto fumbled both attempts at a lap

#

And it's a Mercedes 1-2 at the top

#

This is how we do it

#

I wouldn't do this at the front because it's cold but in dirty air it can work

wet fox
#

The sprint will be done when I get the time

#

I try to save on the final lap but mistimed it as you can't save when the leader finishes, and yeah right when I fail to do it

wet fox
#

And we're off again - Gasly stays right where he is

#

So does Colapinto

#

We both make an overtake after the fist straight, 7-15

#

Sainz clips Lindblad lap 2 and send them both flying off Copse, Lindblad P11 with a penalty, Sainz P22, Colapinto P14

#

Also Colapinto passed Bortoleto for P13

#

With 15 laps to go, Albon gets past Gasly putting him down to P8

#

This is an energy nightmare track

#

Colapinto took P12 form Lindblad down the straight lap 4

#

Oh no, Colapinto got a fault on lap 5

#

With the nature of this track, that's terrible

#

He then goes and loses P13 to Leclerc

#

But Gasly takes P7 back after passing Lawson, Albon has a bit of a gap now

#

Oh and Colapinto's fault just vanished, cool

#

With 10 laps to go, Hadjar passed Lawson and Gasly, down to P8 again

#

Neither managed to form a gap, the fight is still very much on

#

Lindblad's woes continue as on lap 9 he misses turn 16, P20 only to the Haas drivers behind

#

Onwards to lap 12, Colapinto managed to pass Hamilton for P12, next is Hulkenberg

#

Thw two briefly had a duel, but Hulkenberg defends in the end

#

With 3 laps to go, Gasly takes the fight to hadjar again, but he can't get by

#

But Colapinto is past Hulkenberg, P11

#

Gasly makes his move on the final lap, P7

#

And Hulkenberg spins at the end, down to P18

#

Antonelli wins

#

Two points, we'll take it

#

Forget the graphic is takes too long to load and causes some issues
This is the most shocking Q1 I've ever seen - not because of Bottas P2...
(Colapinto P11)

#

But because both Ferraris end their Saturday there

#

In Q2 Gasly was held up by Bottas inconveniently going out at the same time as him

#

The setups now are 96 97 btw

#

And Russell takes pole

#

The race masterplan

#

It seems we have a medical truck here instead of a car

#

And we're off again, Colapinto gets past Sainz for P6

#

While Gasly holds position in P11

#

In fact, he loses P11 to Sainz

#

As Colapinto loses P6 to Albon too

#

On lap 2 Lindblad also passes Gasly, P13

#

And Colapinto falls to P8

#

On lap 4 Perez and Hulkenberg swapped positions, Gasly wa sin between them so still P13

#

On lap 6 Colapinto drops to P10

#

As Gasly gets past Lindblad again, they're practically in the same place

#

On lap 7 Bottas locks up turn 3

#

He rejoins P13, karma

#

And Colapinto loses out to Perez

#

By the way, the Farraris have gained only one place each, they're acting like this is their place in the pecking order

#

On lap 10 gasly gets ahead of Colapinto, Colapinto what is going on?

#

Colapinto comes in lap 17 and emerges P13, he has lost out to Lawson Perez Sainz and even Bottas, this is terrible

#

Gasly pits te next lap and emerges behind Colapinto, even worse

#

The two leaders make contact lap 19

#

Bear in mind Norris hans't pit, Antonelli has

#

Takes until lap 25 for Gasly to catch up to Bottas, currently 10-11 on track

#

And on lap 26, he's past

#

We pit again lap 36, galsy emerges P11 behind Bottas Colapinto P14 behind Hamilton after an issue

#

Make that P15, Lindblad got by

#

But Colapinto is keepingt he fight up with 15 laps to go

#

Past Hamilton lap 39

#

Gasly is also alone in P10 after someone pit, so at least we get one point

wet fox
#

On lap 40 Lindblad has passed Hulkenberg, so he's Colapinto's next target

#

Meanwhile Gasly resumes the Bottas vendetta

#

And he got him lap 41, P9

#

Make that P8 as Perez misses turn 16 again

#

While that happend, Colapinto took P13 at the final turn

#

Quite big gaps to the cars ahead

#

But Gasly is in striking distance lap 49

#

So is Colapinto

#

Colapinto gets Lindblad on the final lap

#

Gasly gives it a good go too

#

But fails

#

But then he tries again and succeeds!

#

Of course Antonelli wins, Gasly has a great one

#

Colapinto not so much

#

And Ferrari were pretending to be one of their customers

#

Anyway, Sainz got the DOTD today
