#

On lap 3, Perez takes P13 from Sainz

#

Meanhwile Bottas loses P19 to Ocon, he was only behind due to a penalty anyway

#

Haas are fast, on lap 5 Perez loses Bearman's tow, that is very bad

#

Never mind he gets it back

#

He loses it again but does so by reaching P12

#

Lap 6: Bearman is slow, holding Sainz back, Perez needs to catch up to Colapinto now, probably won't happen

#

Well on lap 7 he magically did it

#

Bottas is trying with Ocon, but not much luck

#

Perez reaches the points on lap 8 due to verstappen and Colapinto pitting (that's early to pit)

#

Also on lap 8 Bottas finally passes Ocon again, P16 because Piastri pit too

#

On lap 14 Sainz passed Perez while brushing him into the barriers, then Albon slammed right into him, a very sad end to his home race

#

Especially since both Williams get to continue

#

And Perez gets a penalty what a joke

#

But (thanks to the fact 9 drivers behind have pit) Bottas is in the points now, he's our only hope

#

Stroll spun on lap 17, he was alone in P20 anyway

#

On lap 18 the former front pack start making moves, Bottas down to P11 after Verstappen inevitably gets by

#

Bottas pits lap 22 emerging P20, Stroll is 5 second ahead

#

Lap 32 sees Bottas catch up to Stroll

#

Stroll took that personally and ran away fast

#

Took until lap 35 for Bottas to get close again

#

And on lap 37, finally past

#

That puts Bottas P16 with a few more pits

#

And on lap 41 he overtakes Hulkenberg, it's again P9 with 9 behind having more pits

#

Then this happens lap 45: Bottas has to slow for Leclerc allowing Ocon and Sainz to ride past with him

#

And Colapinto too why not

#

Hardly fair game

#

Also Lawson parked

#

On lap 48 Stroll spun again, except this time he's out for good

#

I think he's missing Leclerc

#

So yeah it's close to Bottas' window and he emerges P16, Leclerc screwed him over once again by letting Hulkenberg follow through

#

Make that P17

#

Yeah Bottas is just stuck behind them, everything I try doesn't work

#

Yeah that race was just terrible luck

#

Well that was depressing, where to next?

#

There are 5 announcements going into Brazil, I am limited on time so I'll write them up tomorrow

wet fox
#

Right, let's do this...

Ferrari choose Hamilton's successor

And it's none other than... Liam Lawson
A questionable decision, but I guess he was cheaply released by Red Bull or something
Anyway, Liam Lawson partners Charles Leclerc in 2027

Albon to partner Russell

Alex Albon has been announced as Russell's partner in 2027 after they decided Antonelli was too far off Russell and this didn't want to give him a reasonable offer in his eyes, it's not like Mercedes to sack a driver, I wonder what else happened...

Aston Martin's Prema reunion

That's what happened
Aston Martin have announced neither Alonso nor Stroll will continue with them after 2026, even though Alonso never formally announced retirement
Bearman and Antonelli will reunite at Aston Martin and pursue the championship together once again

Jack's Doohan F1 again

So that's why Ocon stayed at Haas
And with Bearman's departure, reserve driver Doohan will make his F1 return as he takes the vacant seat for 2027

wet fox
#

So, Racing Bulls, the team of questionable driver moves in this game - anyway, car is meh, money looks great

#

But the problem is... I can't use it

#

The only thing I can really do is this

#

Targets are Lindblad 14th Lawson 18th

#

Quali and race look to be wet, so the tyres I use matter little, but I'll prep some softer ones just in case

#

I have a feeling it may crash today considering the FPS chart is doing this

#

It made me miss the FP1 results too, Lawson P17

#

And it was Lawson P18 Lindblad P22 in FP2

#

And Lawson P17 Lindblad P21 in FP3

#

Lindblad also needs a new engine but especially at the cap that can be a problem for when I'm not managing them

#

Also double 100% on the setup

#

Hadjar won't set a time in Q1

#

Well, not a promising Q1

#

Lindblad P14

#

And there goes Lindblad too

#

Norris takes pole as Colapinto joins him on the front row

#

And this is the strat plan

#

Lawson beats Bearman at the start, while Lindblad loses out to Antonalli, 14-15

#

Antonelli has already left us behind by lap 5, don't expect much action

#

Meanwhile at the front, Norris ran away but Colapinto is holding that P2

#

Bortoleto is being quite slow, Lawson got by and built a huge gap on lap 11, now for Lindblad to do the same

#

Lap 12: Lindblad can't get it done but Lawson can get past Antonelli, P12

#

Lindblad finally P14 on lap 13

#

And on lap 15 Lawson took P11 form Ocon

#

We come in for full wets lap 19, Lawson emerges P11 and Lindblad P14, Piastri ahead hasn't pit yet

#

It's also faster to just not pit again, so we won't

#

After Piastri pit making a 10-13, we're back to P14 for Lindblad after Ocon overtook him

#

Meanwhile Lawson is going for Alonso while Antonelli creeps up behind

#

Alonso overtook Sainz lap 31, Lawosn followed lap 32, P9 and someone to hold Anotnelli back

#

And on lap 35, Anotnelli is past too

#

And on lap 37 Lindblad finds Piastri behind him, I expect he'll get by easily

#

Yep, P15 for Lindblad

#

Lap 40 sees it come to inter conditions for a few laps, we won't pit but we cna manage the heat to have a great advantage ovee the AI when it gets back wet again

#

This is lasting a lot longer than expected and another pit stop will need to be done eventually, so maybe I'll just do it now

#

We pit lap 45, Lawson emerged P10, keeping Antonelli behind

#

Lindblad jumped Ocon for P17, Stroll ahead needs to pit

#

On lap 47, Antnelli finally gets by Lawson

#

But at a cost to tyres

#

It's an 8-12 after all pits have been made, and we have quite the tyre advantage over our competitors

#

Make that P7 for Lawson, Alonso pitted lap 48 and Lawson got the undercut

#

On lap 50, Norris lost the lead to Leclerc

#

And on lap 52 lawson falls back to P8

#

But not for long P7 is his again lap 53

#

On lap 55, the water level will fall once more, time for another big tyre advantage

#

With 15 laps to go, Alonso overshoots turn 8, dropping to P10 and taking pressure off Lawson

#

On lap 58 he crashes out, bring out a safety car

#

This locks in our tyre advantage, which I think is real good

#

And we are 7-10

#

10 laps left, Lawson tried to overtake Antonelli on the restart, ultimately failed

#

Lawson had a little lockup lap 63, no positions lost but Anotnelli is gone

#

Lindblad was so close to taking P9 form Sainz on the final straight, but ultimately lost out

#

Double points isn't bad at all

#

I think Albon may have hit Alonso

#

Where to from here?

#

And now...

The double S of WIlliams

Ahead of the Vegas GP, Williams have announced their 2027 lineup - Sainz will stay with the team, keeping some stability as Albon departs, and Stroll will return to his first team once more after his Aston Martin seat was taken

wet fox
#

Haas have it rough, and they also violated the cost cap so this'll be fun

#

AI teams ignore the cost cap, it's a player exclusive thing, but it stops me from doing anything while I'm here

#

To my surprise we're aiming for 12th with Bearman, 18th Ocon

#

Hulkenberg ended FP1 early by crashing while he was ahead, Bearman P14

wet fox
#

It was a Bearman P15 Ocon P16 FP2, but we got the double 100% setups

#

And FP3 was Bearman P19 Ocon P21 while we grinded out preparation

wet fox
#

nyway, our prep looks like this

#

Stroll crashes out on his in lap of Q1

#

Piastri tops Q1 with a 1:32.532

#

Ocon got impeded on his first lap for sure, idk what happened second time

small kraken
wet fox
#

Piastri tops Q2 as well, Bearman was impeded on his second lap

#

And Russell steals the fastest time while Leclerc steals the pole

#

The master plan looks like this today

#

And we're off - Bearman gets a nice start taking P9 form Alonso

#

Meanwhile Ocon and Stroll take P20 and P21 from Bottas

#

P19 for Ocon, he's past Hadjar lap 2

#

Piastri got his breakaway but Leclerc is still in front of him

#

Also on lap 2 is p8 for bearman, past Sainz

#

Actually make that P7, past Bortoleto, he's on a roll

#

Despite the temperature being cold, the tyres can get quite hot, i think only we know how to play to that strength

#

Oh yeah that's probably something to do with it

#

P17 for Ocon lap 4, past Perez

#

Bearman's past his old Prema teammate on lap 4 for P6

#

meanwhile Sainz turned in on Hulkenberg, both damaged (they're behind Bearman but ahead of Ocon)

#

On lap 6 Ocon is past a slow Sainz and is attacking Lawson for P15

#

If this was the DRS era Bearman would be past Verstappen too, but with X mode the Red Bull is faster on the straights so this will be tricky

#

But we're faster than Racing Bulls, ocon take P14 on lap 7 since Bortoleto has pit already

#

Slso on lap 7 Bearman finally surpassed Verstappen (I'm surprised), P5

#

Just took a bit of micro managing

#

And on lap 8, after everyone else pits, Bearman dives past Norris to take THE LEAD

#

2nd worst car btw

#

Leclerc overshot turn 4 on lap 8, ruining his new softs and going form P16 to P18

#

And Bearman ran away

#

Ocon is also in the points after taking P10 from Hulkenberg

#

8 people behind have pit, none ahead, Ocon was ahead of 5 of them anyway I believe

#

Shoutout to Lindblad doing the same tyre idea and being in P3 (started P14)

#

On lap 10 Ocon finds his way through a big pack (with a little help from me), maving up to P4

#

Verstappen pit but Russell (also yet to pit) passed Lindblad so he's still P3

#

On lap 11 Colapinto spun and hit a wall at turn 3

#

Down to p19 with a lot of damage, not enough to be Cadillac pace yet

#

Sad (lap 13)

#

Also on lap 13, after being behind him for a while, Hadjar gets past Ocon again

#

Never mind

#

Bearman has a pit issue on lap 15 but he still emerges P8 behind Verstappen, just Ocon and Russell yet to pit

#

Piastri already pit btw

#

Ocon boxed lap 18 and emerged P12 behind Hamilton, and ahead of Piastri who haspitted twice now

#

Russell in the lead still hasn't pit

#

On lap 20, Bearman is easily past Verstappen now I know the trick, P4

#

(lap 21) Piastri I know Ocon had mediums and you have softs... but how?

#

Bearman is also alone in P4 after Verstappen pit

#

Piastri boxes for a third time on lap 23, hopefully those hards are more durable

#

Russell pits for the first time on lap 24, emerging P3, Bearman P2, Norris P1

#

And on lap 25 Russell gets past Bearman with his much fresher tyres

#

Similarly Gasly uses much fresher tyres to take P3 from Ocon lap 27

#

Both cars in lap 34, Bearman P6 Ocon P8, Piastri in between

#

Make that a 7-8

#

Piastri was a persistent one, Bearman is past lap 41

#

We're 4-6 for now, but Ocon has faster cars on fresher softer tyres behind him

#

On lap 45 ocon caught up to Bearman and Piastri, it'll be easier to hold them off now

#

Similarly, Bearman has norris in his sights

#

And Ocon takes P5 lap 46

#

With 3 laps to go, Bearman takes Haas' first podium (hopefully)

#

Ocon is right behind the too

#

Make it a 3-4 lap 49

#

Well I can't complain about that

#

Hadjar and Antonelli DNF'd right at the very end idk what happened

#

Beautiful

#

from 2 to 29

#

I'm just that good at the game

#

Where to next?

#

Iwasa steps up to the seat

Racing Bulls reserve Iwasa will be promoted to a full time seat in 2027 alongside Hirakawa, not as questionable a decision as his teammate but maybe F2 had no better options

Colapinto finds refuge

After losing his seat at Alpine, Colapinto looked all over for a seat, eventually settling to replace Perez at Cadillac
Cadillac like the idea as he can still help to pay the bills and he has more years in him than Perez does (probably)

#

One seat remains, and it will be revealed before the final weekend

#

Speaking of the final weekend, the guys who made 2025 have also made 2026 now, so once this season is over I'm gonna do a run of that (and I also forgot to fix the SL bug)
On that note...

wet fox
#

Bit later than expected but mysteriously the McLaren is the second best car on the grid?

#

I can't find which car is better than them

#

They also breached the cost cap (which isn't a player thing because different teams have done it by different amounts)

#

Targets Piastri 3rd Norris 2nd

#

And Qatar is not a sprint weekend

#

Still not running affiliates

#

I would intend to run softer tyres due to the heat, don;t want to be pushing on any

#

In classic McLaren fashion we're high up there

#

Same goes for FP2 here, Piastri got 100% setup Norris 97%

#

And our perfect record was robbed by peoplemwith penalties, serves them right

#

Double 100% tho

#

Q1 went as expected

#

At the top at least, what happened Leclerc?

#

The Mercs stole our Q2 1-2

#

And Russell somehow stole the pole

#

I know I said I didn't want to push, but I did some looking around and it turns out if I can pull it off it will be really powerful, so lets go for it, Mclaren won the championships anyway

#

(attacking on the hards with Norris is theoretically better but I'm not doing that)

#

And Norris misses turn 1, sending him to the back

#

Piastri also has a bad start, losing P2 to Hamilton

#

Lap 2 sees Norris fighting Perez and Lindblad, it's embarrassing how hard it is for him to get past

#

Piastri goes for an overtake on hamilton lap 5, Hamilton spins out at the same time and kid took Piastri withhim, although they never hit each other, I've never seen this before

#

And now the duo find themselves at the very back, but at least Piastri is ahead

#

At the same time Norris passed Perez for P18

#

Norris' next targets are Bortoleto and Bottas

#

On lap 7 piastri gets past perez, leaving Hamilton pinend back

#

Meanwhile, Russell has run away in the lead

#

And the remaining posium spots are a fight between the Alpines and Hadjar, with Colapinto leaidng the pack

#

Norris still can't get past on lap 9, Piastri just overtook Lindblad to join him, 18-19

#

On lap 13 Norris still couldn't do it, but Piastri could, P16

#

He gets past Bottas too (Gasly behind has pit)

#

And Norris finally passes Bortoleto

#

As the duo can't get past their next target Lawson, I pit Norris early on lap 17 for an undercut, he emerges P20, ahead of the Cadillacs and behind the Haas'

#

I do the same with Piastri, where Lawson comes in too, Piastri jumps Lawson as they emerge behind Norris and Bottas

#

Piastri past Bottas lap 19

#

Norris is now on the heels of Anotnelli who just came out the pits

#

And by lap 20, so is Piastri

#

And Antonelli breaks free on lap 21, we're not meant to be slow what is happening?

#

It looks to be a Norris thing as on lap 25 Piastri ran away from Norris too, maybe he has a secret fault somewhere

#

In this game faults often develop before they're announced

#

Lap 27 sees the duo takeon Ocon, whose currently P13

#

Piastri had a failed overtake on lap 28, but Norris could get past them both to take P13 for himself

#

Piastri's next attempt worlked, 13-14

#

On lap 31 Norris faces his next opponent, Leclerc

#

But not for long, Leclerc pits and so does Piastri

#

Piastri has a pit issue and emerges P20, only ahead of the Cadillacs

#

On lap 36 Piastri got ahead of Leclerc, meanhwile Stroll boxed and emerged just ahead, he's the next target

#

Norris does his second pit lap 39 and sees himself emerge P13, Vertsappen and Hamilton just ahead

#

On lap 41 Stroll and Piastri caught up to and passed Lawson, Piastri P14 but Stroll has a big lead because of that

#

Meanwhile Antonelli and Sainz boxed, Norris is in between them in P11

#

Make that P10, past Hamilton Norris goes

#

And on lap 44, Norris takes P9 from Anotnelli

#

Perez parks lap 46, he was last anyway

#

With 10 laps to go, Piastri is back on Stroll's heels

#

And Norris is looking at Albon

#

And Piastri is ahead, P12

#

And on lap 50, Norris takes P7 form Albon

#

And on lap 51 Norris was chasing Alonso, but like Stroll rpeviously the duo got ahead of Bearman just Alonso did earlier

#

But on lap 52 Norris caught up and took P5

#

Hadjar in P4 is too far away I think

#

5-12 likely finish

#

Makew that P11 for Piastri, who pits lap 53?

#

Bearman apparently

#

On lap 54, Norris surprises me by catching up to Hadjar

#

And he takes P4 with 2 laps to go

#

P3 is 11 seconds ahead, there is no way

#

Considering what happened early on, this isn't bad at all

#

Bad day to be a Ferrari fan

#

And now, where will I be for the final race?

#

And we have our final lineup...

Perez fills the last space

After losing his Cadillac drive to Colapinto, Sergio Perez will take on the last spot and Audi for the 2027 season (what will not happen)

#

I had family come around unexpectedly and now do not have time, I will have time tomorrow

wet fox
#

Racing Bulls will be a rough time to end this season

#

As as mentioned before we have no spendable money due to cost cap

#

And as for the pit schedule, I care not

#

Targets are Lindblad 13th Lawson 15th

#

I'm running Iwasa only because he's coming in next year

#

Antonelli tops an FP1 that we don't get top 10 in
Iwasa P13 Lawson P18

#

Norris tops FP2, Lindblad came close to the board at P11, Lawson P20

#

Wasn't as good an FP3, Lindbld P17 Lawosn P22

#

And we have this for the preps

#

Lindblad's ERS is busted but it's not worth the grid penalty to fix and practice seemed to go okay

#

We get into the top 10 when it matters the most, Lawson P13

#

I guess Hamilton got impeded

#

Actually in the one where it mattered more we didn't reach it

#

Never mind

#

Meet the masterplan

wet fox
#

And it crashed

#

I can do it again tomorrow

wet fox
#

While I said that, maintenance work was being done on our estate and the internet kept cutting out so I couldn't guarantee a good time to do it, hopefully tomorrow

wet fox
#

Right then, time to try again

#

On the first turn Hadjar went wide, falling to the back

#

Meanwhile Albon got the better of Lindblad, it's a 10-12 start

#

Sainz spins turn 5 laps 2, to the back he goes

#

Lindblad tried to take his position back and couldn't, but Lawson made a move on Stroll on the formerly second DRS straight for P9

#

Lap 3 sees massive gaps start to form at the front, with a McLaren-Mercedes pattern after Antonelli took P4 from Gasly

#

Lindblad tries Albon again and it looks much better

#

He's past and on Stroll's tail, as Lawson finds himself not fighting anyone

#

And on lap 4 Bortoleto rammed into Perez - they're both out along with the safety car

#

I don't see the need to pit but many others do it seems, it's a Haas 1-2, Lawson P3 Lindblad P5

#

In fact, aside from Stroll P4 and those I've mentioned, everyone pit

#

Safety car is in on lap 9 which we spend still in a long line, no chages

#

On lap 10 Lindblad overtakes Stroll, 3-4

#

Not pitting was the correct move, the top 5 have remained the top 5 all this time while those who pit have worn tyres too - on lap 13, Bearman runs away, hopefully letting Lawson pick on Ocon

#

But the top 5 doens't stay that way for much longer, with Stroll falling to Norris on lap 15

#

On lap 16, Lindblad easily falls too

#

On lap 19 Lawson finally makes it work - and, since Bearman pit, he's in the lead!

#

Only to lose it again lap 21

#

We play the long game since there's been a safety car, Lindblad came in lap 22 and emerges P18, but on much fresher tyres than those in front

#

Lawson has a pit issue and emerges just behind Lindblad, who has since been overtaken by Hadjar, 15-16

#

And on lap 26 the duo find themselves behind Stroll

#

Then Ocon pits and emerges in between them

#

Lawson promptly takes advantage of his cold tyres to get ahead, undercut basically successful

#

And Lindblad is ahead of Stroll, 13-15 currently

#

Lap 28 saw Lindblad catch up to Hadjar on much worse tyres, but he can't get by

#

Meanwhile Lawson is tailed by Albon, who also got past Ocon

#

With him unable to get past, lap 32 sees Lawson catch up and overtake Lindblad, now their roles are reversed

#

And won't you look at that, the very next lap in the same spot he's past Hadjar too

#

Hadjar pits lap 36, giving Lindblad free air but no one to help him fend off the pack behind

#

Currently 7-8, but pit window opens soon

#

Lindblad drops Albon lap 37, but Colapinto gets by and has taken his place behind Lindblad

#

And yes the numbers are wrong, it's the last race oh well

#

Verstappen is 69 too

#

Lap 39 sees Colapinto get past, Lindblad pits soon anyway so oh well

#

Lindblad pits lap 43 and emerges ahead of bearman in P17, hopefully they don't do the reverse of their teammates

#

It doesn't

#

Lawson pits next lap and emerges P16, behind Albon and a few others and way ahead of Lindblad

#

On lap 47 Ocon becomes really slow, getting double teamed by Albon and Lawson, P14 (Sainz pit too and is behind Lindblad)

#

With 10 laps to go, Lindblad's inability to overtake takes its toll once again, Sainz builds a huge lead before he gets by Ocon, with Alonso following immediately after

#

And Alonso is past

#

On lap 50, Russell and Colapinto come together, Russell is out and will recieve many harshly worded emails in Spanish

#

This puts us 12-16

#

Make that 11-15

#

On lap 55 Lawson enters the points after passing Hadjar, Albon got past agaes ago and is very far ahead

#

Lindblad couldn't even get past this btw

#

And yeah it ends as a McLaren 1-2 BORING

#

Final standings:

#

Dunne is F2 champion too

#

By the way, I was curious to see if I would get sacked considering Racing Bulls has a target of 6th

#

And well... no

#

I have never been sacked on any F1 Manager game ever, looks like that still holds up

#

And now, we'll restart 2026, but more realistically - let's see what team is in store for us first:

pseudo bay
#

Not me hoping Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak was there ;-;

wet fox
#

Boy has it been a hectic day, had lots of work to do that was due 10 minutes ago (which for the record, I didn't finish) - plus I've heard word that some bug fixes are planned for 2026 mode so let's hope they're done by Sunday (I won't have time until then)

wet fox
#

So I'm all up and running and ready to go, but there is one job I must do first
No one has made a livery for Cadillac yet
So the first thing I'm gonna do is my best

wet fox
#

Alright here we are, and this is the firts concern

#

I don't remember Williams being that bad

wet fox
#

Starter designs later and it's lookinga bit all over the place

#

Should be good for Australia, then it's not my concern

#

Targets are Sainz 14th Albon 16th

#

Well, it crashed the moment I entered FP1

#

Also for some unknown reason the UI is a bit off, I will revert that next race

#

The Cadillac livery also did not save unfortunately

#

When I'm Cadillac I'll edit it again

#

Antonelli tops FP1 as Iwasa shows hat maybe he should have been the rookie choice for Racing Bulls, Albon P11

#

Verstappen returns in FP2 and hits the top, Albon P14

#

Leclerc tops FP3 with surprisingly high results from Alpine and Perez, Albon P21

#

Sainz never got the perfect setup but the acclimatisation made up for it

#

Now I have been told I have another job to do, but I have time to do quali beforehand, then I can do the race tomorrow

#

And that Q1 was also topped by Leclerc, Sainz P11

#

Nearly Albon

#

I am shocked to not see a Cadillac out of Q1

#

Q2 was a bit closer than I wanted, topped by Antonelli

#

Verstappen being outqualified by Cadillac in Australia was not on the bingo card

#

And Piastri takes the pole, Q3 was very close, less than a second between them all

#

I will prep the masterplan

#

Then see you tomorrow

wet fox
#

Alright then, here we go

#

Bortoleto has a bad start and Sainz takes advantage of that to effectively start P9

#

Albon has a bit more of a challenge from Hukenberg, but hold strong in P12

#

Meanwhile at the front, Norris is past Antonelli for a well-known McLaren 1-2

#

Colapinto also got past Bortoleto on lap 1, and got past Sainz on lap 2, back he goes to P10

#

And he loses P10 too for good measure

#

On lap 3 Hulkenberg also gets past Albon, maybe I need to do something else for these 2026 regs

#

But it's early days, let's see

#

lap 4 sees Albon understandably overtaken by Verstappen, P14

#

The fact that everyone else is close behind worries me

#

After being passed by a Cadillac on lap 5, maybe conserving isn't the way for Albon, it is quite a cold day here so it must not be helping the tyres much

#

Hulkenberg was fighting Sainz until he overshot turn 5, now having damage too

#

By lap 9 Albon is in P15, overtaken by Both Cadillacs and Lawson, as well as two people pitting, not going well for him

#

Sainz meanwhile is on Colapinto's tail again

#

On lap 12 the Lawson trian becomes the Albon train once again, Bottas has pulled 3.5 seconds on them as Perez pit

#

And Sainz made a divebomb on Colapinto, did sector 3 side by side and claimed P9 on the pit straight - that may not last long, considering Verstappen is right behind them

#

Albon pits lap 16 and, to my surprise, emerges P14, overcutting the Cadillacs

#

Sainz pit lap 17, emerging P11, ahead of Gasly behind Hulkeneberg

#

One thing I've noticed about this, and probably the culprit for the first laps, is energy - the drivers use it a lot, even top up uses more energy than is harvested, energy management is vital

#

Sainz spent a lot of time in P10 behind Bortoleto, eventually Verstappen took it away for being to slow to pass, P11

#

On lap 27 Verstappen got by too, back to square 1 on that

#

And Sainz learnt form verstappen lap 28, back to P10

#

I see what is meant by an energy problem, harvest isn't actually harvesting anything I don't think

#

With this, Colapinto catches back up to Sainz

#

Our duo pit lap 39, Sainz emerges P12

#

While Albon ends up P16 after a 2.9 second stop

#

Lap 45 sees Sainz back on the back of Bortoleto, hopefully he can pass quicker this time

#

I haven't said much but there's really not much to say

#

Except with 10 laps to go, Albon is just not getting past Perez, letting Alonso and Gasly by, probably Colapinto too

#

It took until lap 51 for Sainz to even get close to passing Bortoleto, but it didn't stick

#

On lap 57, points fall out of reach

#

Antonelli ra out of fuel over the line causinga red flag

#

Norris wins it, Hulkenberg wasn't lapped, I think it was up to Alonso?

#

Well that wasn't the opener I was looking for

#

But considering we ended up with this, it's not that bad

#

Was it luck? Was it skill? Was it the car? We'll find out as we progress

#

I hope we'll do better at...

wet fox
#

Before my move to Alpine, I took a quick stop at Cadillac to do my best at their look

#

Alpine look like they're in a great position

#

They got designs going on that will finish way after China

#

Even then, taking lomnger than planned

#

Targets are Gasly 12th, Colapinto 18th

#

Quite the difference

#

If I had the part knowledge I'd put Aron in Gasly's car, but with a sprint weekend we need to grind prep fast

wet fox
#

It was my surprise to see an affiliate 1-2, lots of affilates aorund, Gasly P12 Colapinto P12

#

Russell tops Q1, Williams are popping off, the fact they can be this good after I leave worries me slightly

#

Colapinto P15

#

And we double 100%'d the setups

#

And it was a Williams 1-2 in Q2, I fear I may have gone overboard with them

#

Not so good for us

#

And the pole goes to Sainz

#

This is our masterplan

#

The race starts with Piastri coming together with Russell, he's down to P6

#

Gasly remains P12 but Colapinto falls to P17

#

They are side by side a lot though, can he take it back?

#

Yes he can, P16 again

#

Sainz can keep the lead ahead of a Mercedes 2-3 after Piastri fell back

#

By lap 6 Colapinto finds himself alone in P16

#

I say that byut lap 8 sees him catch up to Lawsona nd ocon somehow

#

Taking P15 on lap 9

#

meanwhile Gasly has been alone in P12 all this time

#

On lap 11, Colapinto takes P14 form Ocon

#

As Bottas helps affirm it by causing a VSC

#

Wrecking the new livery smh

#

Colapinto escapes lap 15, securing P14

#

Meanwhile there could be a fight between the other Alpine and the other Audi for P11

#

They're side by side on the penultimate corner on the final lap...

#

And Gasly secures P11

#

No points, but I learnt a lot about energy management and how to use it to my advantage

#

Well, Q1 went worse than planned

#

Maybe we're slow on softs?

#

Q2 went better tho

#

Russell dominates quali, with an impressive lap from Hadjar seeing him take the front row

#

Gasly can 1 stop, Colapinto can't

#

And it's lights out and away we go
Gasly spent sector 1 and half of sector 2 beside Verstappen, but he couldn't make a move stick

#

Colapinto did the same with Stroll, but it could get P18 form him

#

At the front, Russell broke away at the start of lap 3 while Hadjar is maintaining position in P2, holding Sainz back

#

Also on lap 3, Gasly makes a move stick at the penultimate turn, P7

#

Colapinto also got past Lawson on the final turn, P16

#

Hadjar pit lap 7... how does one's tyres only last 7 laps?

#

So did Bearman

#

Even softs aren't this quick to wear guys

#

Sainz pit lap 8, granting Mercedes a 1-2 at the front, as well as Gasly P5 and Colapinto P13

#

Make that P12 for Colapinto on lap 9, passing Bortoleto

#

By lap 11 Colapinto has caught up to Alonso, he's trying but not getting by

#

Spoke too soon, Colapinto is P9, 6 cars behind have pit

#

On lap 14 Bortoleto enjoyed the big straight so much he wanted to keep going, and got some damage in the process

#

Colapinto comes in lap 19 and emerges P13, ahead of Bortoleto

#

Good progress so far

#

On lap 25, Piastri got in the way of the Mercedes 1-2

#

And on lap 26 gasly comes in and comes out P7, ahead of Hamilton behind Leclerc

#

meanwhile similarly Sainz is on Colapinto's tail, a faster car on fresher tyres, he'll probably pass easily

#

But to my surprise, on lap 29 it was Hamilton who succeeded first

#

Colapinto comes in again lap 32, emerging P16 behind Alonso, realistically 4 cars ahead don't need to pit, so it's probably fine

#

Meanwhile Galsy lost out to Albon, P8

#

On lap 35, Verstappen pit and emerges between Colapinto and Alonso, so the fight brought them closer together, now Colapinto made a move for P15

#

Meanwhile Hadjar on his last tyre set caught up to Gasly hoping to take P7 from him

#

And he does

#

But Gasly returns on lap 38 after Hamilton blocks Hadjar

#

Gasly got by Hamilton lap 39, But Hadjar got past earlier and built a 3 second gap since

#

And Bottas parks lap 40

#

Not a good weekend for him

#

Lap 43 sees us alone in P6 and P13, Hadjar and Sainz ahead and behind of Galsy respectively still need a pit, the rest don't

#

By lap 45 they both came in, Gasly is now P5, Colapinto still P13

#

Leclerc is creeping in on Gasly slowly

#

Can Gasly hold on until Leclerc burns his tyres out?

#

He's a bit too close for comfort on lap 48

#

And he takes P5 away from Gasly

#

Who am I kidding it isn't close

#

Bearman randomly took P13 from Colapinto too

#

On the final lap Colapinto got screwed by a lapping Albon, letting Lawson by on the final turn

#

Russell had a great weekend

#

And so did we

#

Looks normal at the top

#

Next time will see us at...

wet fox
#

I may do this today instead of tomorrow, tomorrow will be really busy

wet fox
#

Aston time... yeah

#

Hopefully I got enough time for this

#

They made a front wing which would help a bit

#

And a rear wing which doens't look good but is better than what they have now

#

I'll prep an ever better one for them

#

And this with the chassis because they need speed

#

After all that, the car looks a little better

#

Targets are Alonso 12th Stroll 14th

#

Oh no it crashed

#

Yeah it keeps crashing when trying to load in

wet fox
#

I am also even busier than expected (which was already really busy) today, soni gotta skip this today

wet fox
#

Good news: I have managed to get it fixed so progress can be made
Bad news: Ferrari don't get their fancy reverse rear wing thingy, that was causing the problems

wet fox
#

Right let's get to it

#

These cars are looking great

#

FP1 didn't go as well as I'd like but I did learn that, like in Australia, energy is gonna suck
Stroll P20 Alonso P22

#

FP2 went worse - same results for us but Alonso blew his ERS up and Stroll somehow wrecked his underfloor

#

As Russell leads a Mercedes 1-2 in FP3, Alonso leads an Aston Martin 21-22... yeah

#

We might be cooked

#

I must admit things went better than expected

#

Even if Q1 is where we end

#

11-16 in Q2

#

And it's domination for Russell, topping every session he's been in

#

There looks to be rain incoming at the end of the race

#

Alonso falls to last at the start

#

While Stroll tried to hold off Hamilton, but that's a Ferrari, 18-22

#

Meanwhile at the front, half a lap and Russell is gone, I see where the domination came from

#

Oh and Stroll lost P18 to Lawson too

#

On lap 3 Alonso got his revenge on Bottas, taking P21

#

Now we're at the stage where we should have a nice energy advantage, obviously that's not something we can check but we'll see

#

But then Hulkenberg locked up, blocking Alonso and letting Bottas pass again, at least that puts Stroll into P18

#

Never mind Colapinto is past

#

Alonso takes it back lap 5

#

And on lap 6, Alosno is past Hulkenberg for a 19-20

#

Yeah...

#

It looks like Alonso found his footing and he overtook and ran away form Stroll, leading him to fight off the other two at the back on lap 9

#

Lap 11 sees Alonso catch up to perez, who holds him back until the rest of the backmarkers catch up

#

And on lap 13, Lindblad spun and hit the barriers, he's out

#

Some drivers pit under the VSC, Perez included, making us P14 and P16

#

Dominant leader Russell pit, seeing him P8

#

Alonso pits lap 20 and emerges P20, only ahead of Bottas

#

On lap 19 Bottas gets by, as Stroll pits and emerges far awya in last, not good for us

#

Took all the way until lap 26 to get him back, but that's after they double teamed Hulkenberg too

#

So Alonso is P18

#

And rain started here, way earlier than I thought

#

The problem with energy is, as Stroll demonstrates here, without fighting anyone you don't get full charging power around a lap, so you're stuck on lower modes to make up for that

#

We pit lap 35 for inters, Alonso is alone in P18 thanks to others being forced to pit earlier, Stroll is dead last

#

Also Stroll got lapped on pit exit

#

fast forward to 15 to go, and we have some action as Hulkenberg catches up to Alonso

#

Never mind he sweeps by on raw straight speed

#

But Alonso defends going into the corner

#

This bout lasts until lap 42, unfortunately won by Hulkenberg

#

Bottas approaches Alonso one lap time lap 47, please say it's not a double last

#

I haven't had a double last since Floersch and someone worse than her in a 1 dot everything CAT career

#

Verstappen lapping on the final lap means we can maintain a safe distance

#

Well at least it wasn't completely last

#

In this universe, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are not cancelled... so where will we go for the former?

wet fox
robust elbow
#

well this just straight up isn't working 😂

wet fox
wet fox
#

Anyway - to Williams, and it seems they have a very good car from my earlier designs, but they went into debt to make them

#

Hold on, there's a problem

#

Right, it seems I have to do Japan again

#

Yeah I do, big shame

#

You know what, since I know I have no chance of points, imma just sim it

#

So this is actually the result of Japan, now to Bahrain

#

I set them up with a new chassis just before the race weekend after the sponsor plan took them out of debt

#

Our targets are Sainz 17th Albon 18th, that can't be good right?

#

FP1 was topped by Pourchaire, it was a shock to see the Cadillacs up here too

wet fox
#

Forgot to show FP2, Russell came back and took the top spot as usual

#

Same in FP3

#

We made it through Q1

#

And Hadjar denied the Russell domination, Sainz had a 0.267s gap to him that's how close it is

#

But it's a Mercedes 1-2 in the end, not even half a second seperates the top 10, this could be interesting

#

This is the plan, Sainz especially has great tyre preservation

#

Smooth operator

#

Antonelli and Hadjar fumble the start, allowing us to push up to 2-3 (after Sainz squeezes out Antonelli)

#

Oh and Russell already has a 3 second lead, what is that car

#

By lap 4 Albon makes it clear he doesn't want to help Sainz fend off the pack behind, let's hope he can do it himself

#

This track is, thankfully, not an energy nightmare

#

So we used some energy lap 5 and they're together alone in 2-3

#

The replay cam was terrible (tv pod of the Bearman) but on lap 10 Lindblad hit Bearman's rear, no position changes, Lindblad has a bit of damage

#

No penalty

#

Not Lindblad's race, he spins on lap 16, down to the back

#

Also on lap 16 Russell pit, so Sainz leads a Williams 1-2

#

Albon comes in lap 19 and comes out P4, in between the Mercs

#

Sainz pits lap 21 and emerges P3, behind Albon, back to 2-3 except they're a fair distance apart now

#

And from then on it's very boring, the only thing closely resembling racing action is Piastri close behind Norris on lap 32

#

And there's another one on lap 35, Ocon vs Bortoleto for P16

#

Alvbon pits lap 37 and emerges in P4 just ahead of Antonelli, who is on old tyres and will pit soon

#

Sainz pits lap 39 and emerges P3, after Russell Hadjar and Antonelli also pit

#

At the bottom there was Russell in P2, Albon undercut him and is now in the lead

#

Sainz spins on turn 8 of his out lap, still P3 but massive gap to Russell now

#

At least it warmed his tyres

#

Again with the terrible replay, Piastri and Leclerc came together lap 41, both have damage

#

Lindblad's pain continues as Stroll rear ends him with 10 laps to go, both have severe damage

#

Stroll got a penalty for that, good

#

Russell was gradually catching up until lap 56, where lapped cars held him back massively

#

A Williams victory, wow

#

Yeah so much for that

#

I found this page of the DB editor so you cna look at that

#

I have no idea how it calculates driver of the day, but there it is

#

And the next race takes us to...

robust elbow
#

Go Weeyums!

wet fox
#

I was way too busy yesterday but not busy today instead so we're doing it today don't ask questions

#

No designs will come through or anything, it's only 4 days to Saudi Arabia

#

Clearly the board didn't get the hint as both targets are 18th

robust elbow
#

ez money

wet fox
#

FP1 gets topped by Hadjar as Russell sits out, this field is very close 1 second splits the top 13

#

Martins gave Albon a 100% setup already btw

#

FP2 was not as successful, with Albon returning and coming where the board expected him in P18

#

FP3 was better, and we finally got the double 100%

#

Russell comes back when it matters more in Q1, we're safely through

#

And it's Piastri at the top of Q2... wait where's Verstappen?

#

Verstappen what happened?

#

And then be surprised... Sainz got the pole

#

So the masterplan is - Sainz books it and keeps the lead, Albon keeps it steady as he gradually passes everyone

#

Sainz has a great start, no contest for the lead

#

Antonelli and Piastri went side by side blocking Albon, who remains P6

#

Sainz already has a massive lead after the first lap, this is the Oonige strategy working well
Oonige is a Japanese term literally translating to "great escape", you put everything into building a massive lead at the start as you hope to keep it

robust elbow
#

The classic "Get out in front and stay there"

wet fox
#

Indeed

#

By lap 3 we have Piastri leading a massive train as the Mercs build a gap ahead, hopefully Albon gets past soon

#

Also on lap 3, Alonso randomly develops a puncture, that's not good for him

#

At least he won't be slower after this lap

#

Things stay as they ar euntil lap 9, where Albon finally manages to squeeze Piastri out at turn 1

#

The replay showed it happened under the turn 2 bridge, but Stroll squeezed Bearman out on lap 12 making him hit a wall and get major damage

#

Lap 12 also sees Albon catch up to Antonelli, who has fresher hards and Russell's tow, a pass seems unlikely

#

But on lap 16 Antonelli must have made an error or something, as Albon suddenly gets a 2 second gap on him

#

On lap 17 Sainz comes in and emerges P5, no one ahead has pit, but we want him in the lead

#

Lap 18 sees Sainz stuck behind Piastri, bad!

#

On lap 20 Piastri has no choice to let Sainz go

#

Due to Stroll being Stroll, he's out

#

Sainz moved up to Antonelli and got straight past as the flags went green on lap 21, but not without contact

#

No damage was done to either car, hopefully we don't see a penalty

#

On lap 24 Sainz caught up to Russell and Albon, the top two, so I boxed Albon early to both let Sainz keep going fast and undercut Russell, but Russell came in too

#

Russell emerges P4 Albon P5, Leclerc P3 has pit Antonelli P2 hasn't

#

And Sainz P1 has, with a comfortable 15 second lead

#

Russell got past Leclerc quickly as they caught up lap 27, Albon is stuck behind, bad!

#

Albon finally passes Leclerc on lap 30, Russell has already built a 4 second gap to him

#

Sainz came in lap 32 and emerged P2, just ahead of Albon

#

Russell is P1 and looks to be on the same 1 stop strat as Albon, bad!

#

But not all hope is lost, Sainz is closing in on Russell, it's currently lap 34 and he shoukd be making moves soon

#

Albon also got some nice time in his slipstream but he was way ahead of leclerc anyway

#

Yeah we got this

#

Sainz retakes the lead at the end of lap 35, now unless anything really bad happens he won

#

But is 1-3 enough? On lap 39 Albon is in attack distance of Russell

#

It took a while, but on the very final lap we secured the 1-2!

#

The board could never expect that

#

Well we couldn't do better than that

#

Can we keep the streak up at...

wet fox
#

Well it's quite clear what Cadillac need to work on, despite this points could possibly be possible, maybe?

#

Unfortunately Perez seems to be dropping off already, and there's another year on his contract yet, hopefully it doesn't get too bad

#

I have also decided that rather than letting the AI go wind with driver transfers, I'll also give the teams I'm at smart yet relaistic picks, let's see how that goes

#

Oh and Bottas is too, great

#

But Bottas' contract expires this year...

#

That being said I already know what I'm gonna do with Cadillac in 2027

#

What am I gonna do with all of you...

#

It never stops...

#

So yeah we know who doens't have a future I suppose

livid minnow
wet fox
#

We will see

#

On the plus side, they built a goated front wing that I will be using

#

And they need better sidepods so I will provide

#

They also built an okay suspension, but I don't have time to manufacture it for Miami

#

ATR came in so let's give them a nice underfloor, they'll need it

#

And the monthly affiliate report says down goes Herta too, yikes

#

Oh yeah and the design centre burnt down

#

Which as we know form before, isn't tied to the team, but to the player

#

And the targets are 18th for both

#

I must say I'm very surprised with how the practice went

#

Maybe it was because I couldn't get in many laps at the end so lowered the fuel

#

Hopefully it translates well to sprint quali

#

Much to my surprise it kinda did

#

I swear there is some kinda secret advantage to the player's team

#

Setups look good for the sprint

#

But nothing is perfect

#

Damn Red Bull

#

Russell takes the sprint pole, Perez outqualified Alpine too

#

Looking ahead to the race, Bottas may want to use softer tyres, so we'll split the strats here

#

Gasly had a slow start which held up everyone behind, including Bottas who stays P12

#

Perez meanwhile had a great start, fought with Albon a bit but ultimately stays P8

#

He has another go after the first former DRS zone, but nothing comes out of it

#

Lap 2 sees Albon go off with Antonelli, leaving Perez alone

#

Hamilton has a go at Bottas lap 3 and wins the fight, Bottas P13

#

But Bottas doesn't give up and takes P12 back on the long straight

#

On lap 4 Verstappen catche sup to Perez, looking to take that point away

#

And he does, no contest

#

All the way forward to lap 11 we see Bottas finally attacking the Alpines ahead of him

#

Gasly down, P11, Colapinto to go

#

Meanwhile Verstappen has left Perez behind, maybe we'll get Albon for P8?

#

On lap 12 Bottas gets Colapinto, so we're 9-10

#

On lap 15 Perez absolutely gunned it down the straight, not only passing Albon but Versatappen too, will it hold?

#

It will, P7!
(The Williams in this pic is Sainz)

#

And to top it off, on the next lap Perez gets past Sainz too, P6

#

Maybe this is why

#

On lap 18 Verstappen just falls off on the long straight, letting Bottas take P9, double points?

#

Nope, not even that, Verstappen got Bottas back on the last lap

#

Still what a wonderful sprint, points for Cadillac

#

Moving onto the main quali it didn't quite go to plan

#

Bottas P13

#

The changes to Bottas' setup made it a bit worse it seems too

#

Oh well

#

Lowering the wing angle will help with the straight
(yes in the 2026 mode, the wing angles actually do affect performance, idk by how much tho)

#

Piastri tops our final session of Saturday

#

It's an Antonelli pole

#

Attack time for Perez to make it out of the back pack, Bottas adops a more traditional strategy as he goes for points

#

And we're off!
Perez went 3 wide at the start with Bearman and Lawson, seeing the 3 reverse their positions, Perez P16

#

Bottas tussled with Hadjar at the start and took P10 from him, Cadillac in the points again

#

But I have to leave it there for a bit, I've been called away, back soon

wet fox
#

We're back

#

And we restart with Hadjar getting Bottas back, P11

#

It's fine, he proved he can do it

#

Antonelli keeps his lead, but Verstappenis now close behind

#

On lap 3, Lindblad spins, sending him to the back, 10-15 for us because of that

#

Make that 10-14, Perez got Hulkenberg on the long straight

#

And at the start of lap 5 he's past Hamilton and attacking Colapinto, he's on a roll

#

Past Colapinto easily, P12

#

On lap 12 Perez catches up to Leclerc who has a fault, hopefully he can get past before Colapinto catches up again

#

Meanwhile Hadjar and Sainz are fighting right in front of Bottas

#

Bottas activates directive: gun it as both he and Hadjar pass Sainz, Bottas P9

#

On lap 13 everyone around Perez decides to pit, as well as Hadjar, so we're running 8-9 currently

#

Bottas comes in lap 18 and emerges P12, behind Sainz and Hadjar, oh no

#

Perez comes in next lap and emerges P12, behind Leclerc, Bottas P10

#

Doesn't look like anyone else needs to pit for a while so that's where we are

#

On lap 22 Perez breezes past a struggling Leclerc, 10-11

#

And on lap 24 Bottas is ready to engage Hadjar and Sainz again

#

Leclerc has a smoking engine, looks like his race is over

#

Yep, he parks

#

Bottas Takes P9 form Hadjar lap 28, he may have been struggling judging from the gap Sainz built up

#

Something's wrong, I can feel it

#

It's Perez's turn to take on Hadjar on lap 31

#

And he got it on the former first DRS zone

#

Sainz is the next target

#

Never mind Sainz pits lap 33, 8-9

#

Still 8-9 on lap 35, but Perez leads instead of Bottas

#

He is going more aggresive and pitting earlier so

#

Speaking of, Perez is in lap 39 and out P11, once again behind Hadjar and Sainz, great

#

Bottas pits lap 40 and emerges P11, Gasly ahead Hamilton behind, Perez P9

#

I don't think anyone else wants to pit again

#

But I have to leave it here as I have been called out again, this time I'll be out much longer, if I don't finish this today I will tomorrow

wet fox
#

Alright I'm back - so, Perez is alone in P9, Bottas alone in P11, lap 40/57, let's do this

#

On lap 42, Bottas gets within attacking range of Gasly, who is on hards

#

And he gets past, it's a 9-10, double points!

#

With those hards Gasly can't even put up a fight

#

Next target: Perez vs Hadjar, lap 44

#

Hadjar has much more worn mediums compared to Perez's softs

#

Well that was easy, Bottas is relatively close behind too

#

Hadjar put up more of a fight against Bottas, but we got the 8-9 on lap 47

#

On lap 51, our duo catch up to Sainz, maybe a 7-8 is doable

#

Like Hadjar, he has more worn mediums

#

Both past on lap 53, but with Bottas leading the way instead of Perez

#

So yeah, I am wholly convinced there is some sort of secret player advantage - doing that should not have been possible at all

#

Well anyway can we keep soemthing like this up at...

wet fox
#

Yeah unfortunately I've had 0 time yesterday so I'll get to it later hopefully

wet fox
#

Well I was ready until Discord decided to deny it happening today, I'll do tomorrow since I can't guarantee Sunday anyway

wet fox
#

Alright let's finally get to it

#

So Alpine's car looks okay, I wouldn't be surprised if I got a podium with this

#

They ahd more money but before Discord went down I spent a lot on manufacturing parts and making the HQ look decent

#

A suspension design cam ein which is actually kind mid, I won't go manufacturing it

#

Their front wing looked so bad so I gave them a better one

#

After all the manufacturing the car looks like this

#

Hopefully we cna do good with it

#

Targets are Gasly 11th Colapinto 16th tho

#

Practice was mostly wet with a dry ending so the results don't reflect much, but it looks good

#

Sq1 was also wet, bring very chaotic reuslts

#

Unfortunately for Colapinto

#

Gasly has a 95% setup Colapinto 92%

#

And we're through to SQ3

#

And Norris gets the sprint pole

#

Here's the plan - Gasly gets a great start and keeps driving very fast to lap the field, Colapinto uses softs to pass everyone else and get up to 2nd

#

Than plan fails instantly as Gasly only manages P3 at the start

#

Colapinto also does not pass anyone

#

Stroll is running used tyres at the back

#

Down the back straight Gasly passes Russell for P2

#

And Colapinto passes Ocon for P17

#

We seem to have strength there, noted

#

Norris and gasly have also built up a gap to Russell

#

But Russell quickly closes it lap 2, Verstappen is still far behind in P4

#

On lap 6 Colapinto continues the advance, past Alonso for P15

#

(Perez behind got past too)

#

But then to my surprise, Perez also passed Colapinto lap 7

#

But on the plus side, Russell fell back again and Gasly has been trying some moves for the lead, Norris can hold him back though

#

Colapinto took P15 back lap 8

#

And on lap 11 Piastri and Colapinto did the double on Lindblad for P14

#

And on lap 13, gasly is in the lead!

#

Attacking seems to be very powerful here

#

And by lap 16, Gasly has secured the lead

#

On lap 20 Colapinto is in attacking range of Bottas

#

Other cars have a rear wing that looks like this on the straights

#

But it looks like Alpine looked at the blueprint upside down and now it goes to the bottom instead of the top

#

On yeah and Colapinto just took P13

#

With 3 laps to go he also steals P12 from Bortoleto

#

And of course we can't have nice things so Russell came and stole the victory literally on the line

#

Like, really now

#

Is this some kind of sick joke or what?

#

I just... wah

#

Main race in a bit, I got called to a job

wet fox
#

Alright we back

#

We're comfortably through to Q2, with a double 100% setup

#

Can't be said for Q3, however

#

If Leclerc couldn't how could you expect Colapinto to stand a chance

#

And Antonelli snipes the pole, Gasly sits just behind the Mercs

#

The masterplan
Galsy gets tows behind the Mercs and just chills while making one stop, Colapinto uses softs to get into a decent position then guns it to stay there

#

Sainz and Lindblad came together turn 1, the yellow flag forced us to keep our positions

#

Even though both had a great start

#

But then Colapinto got past Leclerc again

#

Something's wrong, I can feel it

#

It's wrong though, everything is fine (that's neutral)

#

Leclerc retakes P11 lap 3

wet fox
#

Aaaand it crashed

#

I have a save from lap 3 which I will continue tomorrow, I've ran out of time today

wet fox
#

We're back
A whole lot of nothing happened until lap 16, Galsy lost the Mercs and verstappen caught up so the fight for P3 begins

#

On a side note, when I booted the game up I got a popup saying it uses DX12 but DX11 may be more stable so I swapped it - it's hard to tell in the screenshots but it looks and runs so much better now

#

I was surprised

#

Behind that tree is Perez in the barrier on lap 22, he's out

#

Colapinto uses this time to pit and emerges P13, 3 cars ahead, including Hmailton P12, have pitted too

#

Lawson was behind Colapinto until he pitted a lap ago, he's P20 now

#

Verstappen also pit, seeing Gasly alone

#

After most of the cars pit by lap 25, Colapinto finds himself P11

#

On lap 28 the McLarens, who both started on hards, are now in fighting range of Gasly

#

And so is Antonelli who just pit, Gasly is in the lead

wet fox
#

And it crashed again

#

But I have a save from lap 28 so we go from there later

#

I really need to get into the habit of saving more often

wet fox
#

Apologies for the extended absence, I left for work Monday morning and came back not long ago, let's finally get Canada finished

#

Nothing happened until lap 33 where Gasly pit from the lead and emerged P6, ahead of Sainz and Hamilton, the McLarens on hards haven't pit yet, Russell P5 has a huge gap to Gasly

#

Piastri pit lap 37 and emerged behind Hamilton, Gasly is P5

#

He has developed a massive gap to Sainz btw, he's all alone

#

Who's not alone is Colapinto, who is being chased by Hadjar since lap 38

#

And on lap 39, he's past

#

On lap 42 Norris pit and emerged P9, Gasly P4

#

Stroll thought of pitting lap 44 and then decided not to - surely he didn't forget there was a turn right?

#

On lap 48 Antonelli boxed for a second time, emerging P4, Gasly is on the podium

#

Colapinto pits lap 49 and emerges P13, Hadjar is presently P11, points may be tough

#

But he takes an easy P12 on the main straight lap 50

#

Not that it mattered

#

Verstappen pit again lap 52, emerging P7, Gasly P2!

#

And Colapinto then goes on to retake P10 from Hadjar

#

And now for the revised masterplan - Colapinto will go light

#

Why? Because Hadjar is on hards, that's why he could delete a 5 second gap so quickly, but if he keeps pushing on those softs hadjar will get a massive tyre advantage while keeping up with the tow, so Colapinto will save his tyres to prevent that from happening, if Hadjar overtakes again he can always go on the attack and be much faster again

#

Actually never mind, Colapinto could make a huge gap anyway - Leclerc is 4 seconds ahead so on lap 55 Colapinto is back on the attack to catch up

#

Furthermore, with Russell pitting for a surprise second time, Gasly has found himself in the lead again... but not without pressure form the Mercs

#

And the Mclarens while we're at it

#

With 10 laps to go, Colapinto is within striking distance of Sainz and the Ferraris, P7 is possible

#

Easily taking P9 form Leclerc on the final straight

#

On lap 62 Sainz went for a move on Hamilton and fumbled it, allowing Colapinto to take the ideal line and sneak past Sainz down the final straight

#

On lap 63 Gasly finally lost the lead to Antonelli, and Russell snuck past too, P3

#

At the same time, Colapinto barely took P7 form Hamilton on turn 1

#

Back to light to prevent the tyre advantage comeback

#

Once again on lap 65 Colapinto built up a big gap

#

but with a 27 second gap to Verstappen, I see no reason to make him push, but he can go neutral

#

Meanwhile with the Mercedes pace and Gasly's tow, the McLaren's fell back - and Antonelli got stuck behind Stroll who ignored the blue flag, letting Gasly take P2

#

Russell has quite the gap tho

#

Unfortunately due to pitting later Antonelli has quite the tyre advantage, he take it back with 3 laps to go

#

But to my surprise Gasly is still in the fight

#

Also in the fight is Sainz, who caught up to Colapinto on lap 69

#

The Gasly and Antonelli battle goes down to the final turn, where Gasly couldn't make a final pass

#

Colapinto won his battle at least

#

Well, not too bad that - Also, Colapinto's first points of 2026

#

And if it crashes, I have a save on lap 69 I believe

#

And it did not crash

#

The first ADUO window has come in (it's a 2026 feature that dynamically alters the engines so it's not boring) - and here's what we'll see:

#

Aston Martin woes over?

#

We'll find out when I do the next race at...

wet fox
#

Hello from an operational base where connectivity is available - will I have time to do it all? We'll find out
This is how the Red Bull looks, 3rd best car, I have a good feeling

#

Designs coming in very soon too

#

The chassis was the only part I'd consider good, and even then I don't have time to manufacture, so the money I have goes to a better sidepods, they really cooked and burnt it with that one

#

Monthly finances came in and we lost about 800,000... great

#

And we also have a pit schedule for a packed month

#

Targets are Verstappen 3rd, Hadjar 7th

#

Hoo boy

#

FP1 was topped by Pourchaire, we did pretty good too

#

Russell is back for FP2 and he continues his car's dominance

#

And now unfortunately I know that after FP3, I won't have time for any more today, I very likely won't tomorrow or Tursday either, but I will Wednesday

#

In FP3, Stroll tried to overtake Norris into the final turn, didn't work, red flag

#

FP3 was more of the same, Norris has a penalty due to a component change I think, no way did the stewards give him one for the above, Stroll also has a penalty

#

Hadjar has 100% setup, Verstappen 99% by FP3 end

#

And I will see you for quali when I next can

wet fox
#

We're back, quali time
In Q1 Lindblad crashed out triggering a red flag in the middle of the session, will he even make it to Q2?

#

Q1 is topped by Russell, a quite surprising order below

#

The last minute changes to Verstappen's setup took him form 99 to...98, damn

#

Verstappen needed a second flyer and used it well if I say so myself

#

And Russell comes back in Q3 to take the pole

#

So the weather looks to me wet then dry, We'll try something like this perhaps

#

Looks like Norris got a penalty for that hit with Stroll, this FIA sucks

#

What could go wrong at wet Monaco?

#

Our bulls get off to a spectacular start, overtaking a Mercedes each and finding themselves 1-3

#

And for the first time I've seen in this game, Bortoleto crashes on the first straight, not even the first turn, he hit the wall on his left while fighting Bottas

#

There was no replay but Colapinto crashed in the exact same place lap 2, but he slid over into the inside of sainte devote and the safety car came out

#

Obviously no one pits (except for Bortoleto getting a wing change), still 1-3

#

By lap 12 we have big gaps all around, positions look secure

#

But not for long - on lap 16 Bortoleto's woes continue as he locks up and rams into Stroll (so no, not Stroll's fault) - both, red flag

#

Poor Perez also got collatoral damage as Stroll skid right past him, but he's still in

#

Another amazing start for us, Verstappen keeps the lead and Hadjar outstarts Russell to make it a 1-2

#

On the lap 18 restart, Gasly put the throttle on too early at turn 7 and scraped the wall

#

We will need to conserve fuel eventually, but not now - on lap 20, I'm doing it with Hadjar to build up a gap to Verstappen, it will nearly be dry soon and we'll double stack a pit

#

Meet the rain stop masterplan

#

We box lap 26, Verstappen emerged P5, no one around him pit mysteriously

#

Hadjar P9, right in a big load of cars

#

The enxt car down to pit was Bottas, P13 at the time

#

Russell pit lap 27 and emerged quite far behind Hadjar - we're 4-5 with the top 3 yet to pit

#

Everyone pit by lap 29, giving us a nice 1-2

#

Bottas' ealry pit did well, he's P7

#

Hulkenberg did a Colapinto on lap 35 and triggered a red flag due to catching Alonso (who isn't damaged) too

#

With that, this is the new plan

#

No issues starting again

#

Verstappen quickly built a huge gap as Hadjar can't shake Russell

#

But he will never overtake, this is Monaco

#

We pit lap 54 - Verstappen emerges P3 behind both Mercs

#

They ened to pit at some time don't worry

#

Hadjar emerges P7

#

On lap 57, Verstappen passes Antonelli on the track, Russell left for P1

#

And on lap 58, Hadjar takes P6 from Piastri

#

I'm starting to fear the other cars actually may not pit again

#

And on lap 62... Verstappen retakes the lead from Russell!

#

Hadjar also catches up to Leclerc, hopefully P5 will be his soon

#

As we reach lap 70, I begin to doubt it's possible

#

He finally found an opening lap 72

#

But he lost far too much time behind Leclerc to do anything else

#

Verstappen won after running out of fuel after the finish, he definitely did not lap Antonelli

#

Looks like Verstappen got the DOTD here

#

I wonder if I can keep this up at...

#

(Probably not lol)

fervent kindle
#

oh no u got the aston martin nerve damage+ car

wet fox
#

Yeah it definitely doesn't look good
(I think me being late should just be normalized atp)

#

Holy debt

#

Targets are Alonso 12th, Stroll 18th

#

So apparently points are possible

#

Also Alonso has a penalty because the AI gave him a (much needed) new ERS

#

So in this game the AI decide the car parts for the next race right after the previous one

#

FP1 goes better than I thought it would - seeing Alsono P11 and Stroll P13

#

Stroll went P18 in FP2 but Alonso made the top 10 and we have double 100% on the setups

#

FP3 was just grinding prep, Alonso P12 Stroll P17

#

Q1 went well, Stroll P11

#

Piastri?

#

Sainz? for that matter too

#

And Q2 is where it ends

#

It's a pole for Verstappen (why are simmed times 4 seconds faster?)

#

Shoutout to Perez

#

For some reason Alonso's tyres suck so meet the masterplan

#

And yes Alsono is using scuffed softs, it's better than hards

#

Alonso has a good start, seeing him get up to P18 ealry on

#

Stroll fought with Perez but ultimately list out, staying P11

#

1 crash away from points on a circuit famous for leaders crashing

#

Alsono also nealry got past Piastri, but Sainz held him up

#

By lap 3 the points already get away from Stroll as Lindblad behind goes on the offensive

#

And it's not even close, Stroll P12

#

On lap 6 I realized Stroll's damaged ERS means he has less energy recharge, so managing his energy is a challenge, and most of the AI probably won't have this, so that's fun

#

And no he didn't get past Lindblad, that's Lawson

#

Lawson also gets by Stroll on lap 7

#

On lap 8 Piastri and Alsono get past Colapinto, P17 for Alonso

#

Lawson's overtake on Stroll took a lot out of his tyres - Allowing Stroll with softer and less worn tyres to take P12 back on lap 9

#

And on lap 11, Alonso takes P16 from Piastri

#

But on lap 12 Lawson decided to push, getting past Stroll again and building a gap

#

On lap 14 we see Alsono go more aggresive as he passes Bottas for P14 (some started to pit) and is now after Sainz

#

I pit Alonso on lap 16, a bit earlier than planned but Stroll won't get in his way or have to fall back for him

#

He emerges P17, behind Sainz who he was chasing just before he pitted a lap ago

#

After wrecking his tyres, Stroll gets Lawson back on lap 17
