Spanish GP Updates: (I play bits here and there so updates might be weirdly timed)
Qualifying:
Q1: Big name drop outs are Norris and Pourchaire, P18 and P19 respectively.
Q2: Drugovich falls at the second hurdle, P14.
Q3 Result:
1st - Maloney (Williams)
2nd - Bearman (Ferrari)
3rd - Lawson (Aston Martin)
4th - Tsunoda (Red Bull)
5th - Zhou (Aston Martin)
6th - Colapinto (Mercedes)
7th - Barter (Alfa Romeo)
8th - Schumacher (Alpine)
9th - Mini (Ferrari)
10th - Piastri (McLaren)
I doubt the Williams can hang on in the race, I'm more confident about Aston Martin moving forward in the race and in the Constructors Championship. Big opportunity for Tsunoda to score big points against his rivals...
BRO WHAT MINI IN FERRARI? COLAPINTO IN MERCEDES???
it was 2032 last year, thought it was like that this year too
Minì has had the luckiest career move for the least results. He got 3 years at Red Bull prior to this Ferrari deal and has barely done anything of merit his entire career.
No it wasn’t, you could always play unlimited seasons
Spanish GP Race Results:
Well, it was an interesting race. Most of the grid started on Soft, but Maloney started on Medium and Zhou on Hard. Tsunoda, Bearman and Lawson to fight it out and build a gap. Until Lap 16, when Tsunoda and Bearman collected each other into Turn 1 and brought out the Red Flag.
A few laps after the restart, Drugovich ran into the back of Zhou at T1, taking him out of the race.
The second stint had Lawson (Hard), Maloney (Hard) and Piastri (Medium) fighting it out.
On Lap 47, Doohan (Williams) made a mistake and crashed, causing another Red Flag. Maloney was still P1, yet to do his second stop, same with Tsolov. Lawson P3.
As Aston Martin team principal, I have my only surviving driver in P3. At the restart, I'm on the Mediums, it's the only new tyres we have left. Every other driver except Mini is on the Soft tyre. Things about to get interesting.
NO! ANOTHER RED FLAG. Tsolov crashes into Lawson! Both Aston Martin cars out.
TSOLOV crashes again at the restart and takes himself out!

After the calamatous last event. I had a lot of damaged parts and as I already had some upgrades nearly completed, I emergency manufactured some bits. Upgrade comes early and it's looking good. Williams have definitely brought some upgrades.
Race is forecast to be Heavy Rain
Start was clean. Both Aston's take the top 2 spots until the rain comes in.
Lap 27, Iwasa spins at turn 4 and takes out Lawson. Red Flag. Zhou P1
Lap 62, since the red flag, Zhou has lead with only a minor challenge from Tsunoda, who made a mistake and dropped back. It's just changed over to slicks, A few cars look like they're going to try and go to the end on inters. We pitted.
3 laps from the end, Colapinto and Tsolov have a crash at turn 9 and bring out the safety car.

alpine in p1 wcc , doing my job for me
Race wise, Lawson continues to have the worst season imaginable. He had two crashes, broke my only front wing, picked up 2 penalties. Zhou on the other hand is having a great season. Had a great strategic battle with Tsunoda and Maloney, with Zhou taking the lead on the penultimate lap.

I'm closing in, 1 point behind now
Ferrari being 9th, this hurts me. I spent 5 years as TP at Ferrari from 2028-2032. This is their worst season on this playthrough. BY FAR.
forgot to do research on your lsat season?
Nah, I researched them for 2033, they won that championship without me. 2034 had nothing to do with me lol
ok
This is extremely bad. I literally don't have enough parts to go to the next race in 11 days. I have no front wings, I'm missing a chassis. Might have to revert to an earlier spec on a few parts.
Hungarian Grand Prix Qualifying Result
Q2 Big name exit: Norris P15
Q3:
1st - Tsunoda (RB)
2nd - Mini (Ferrari)
3rd - Drugovich (Alpine)
4th - Tsolov (Haas)
5th - Schumacher (Alpine)
6th - Zhou (AM)
7th - Bearman (Ferrari)
8th - Piastri (McLaren)
9th - Lawson (AM) +3 grid penalty
10th - Colapinto (Mercedes)
this grid doesnt give me an error because i watch f1 f2 and sometimes f3, but the 2034 is the error for me
When will it end?! Lawson out on Lap 1. This guy has had 4 DNFs in the last 5 races.
Wet weather came towards the end of the race.
Hungarian Grand Prix Race Result:

2nd - Norris = 134
3rd - Tsunoda = 132
4th - Schmacher = 130 ⬆️
5th - Piastri = 236 ⬇️
6th - Drugovich = 109 ⬆️
7th - Pourchaire = 98
8th - Maloney = 89
9th - Tsolov = 84
10th - Bearman = 78
Constructors
1st - Alpine = 239
2nd - Aston Martin = 207
3rd - Red Bull = 161
4th - AlphaTauri = 146
5th - Haas = 130
6th - McLaren = 127
7th - Mercedes = 101
8th - Williams = 95
9th - Ferrari = 94
10th - Nissan = 7
At this point, the constructors is starting to settle. It seems Alpine are the only team that have both their drivers scoring consistently. All the other teams (Except Nissan) seem to have one driver doing the heavy lifting. McLaren, Mercedes, Williams and Ferrari's second drivers have all got less than 17 points, the first two have less than 5.
Aston Martin can definitely catch Alpine but I need Lawson to stop being everyone's favourite thing to crash in to.
When it comes to the Drivers Championship, I really want this for Zhou. I signed him on a whim because Zak O'Sullivan was not fast enough when I joined the team but he has lead the team brilliantly. He's already announced his retirement, and if I can get him to retire as World Champion, I'll be very happy. There is 30 points down from Zhou in P1 to Piastri in P5. I think the real battle ultimately will be between the top 3 atm. The Alpines are consistent points scorers and are going to be hard to beat in the constructors, but their results ebb and flow too much to be drivers contenders. But then again, anything can happen
Do you play on PC?
I do indeed
May sound a bit weird but can you send me your save? This championship is so interesting that I wanna play it myself lol
I mean you'd have to pick up where it is now, I don't do old saves.
I don’t mind
I'm not at the pc atm, I'll get back to you, but sure
Ty!
Just an update: My partner goes back home on the 10th, so I'm far more interested in spending more time with her than playing games. So I'll probably not have any updates until after then. When she goes back, I'll be lonely and miserable which means far more F1 Manager
alr no problem, but do send me the save when your free
Do you remember where the save files are? I thought I'd remembered by I can only find the autosave file.

Another VSC on Lap 38. Good. He deserves this after his attack on my team.

The summer break... an appreciated break from the onslaught of broken parts. I've basically spent a crap load of money building spares to get out of the emergency build death loop. I'm still manufacturing the starting front wing because I've not been able to get the projects clear enough to develop a new one.

Looks like it's a 5 way fight for the drivers championship. Its going to be really tough for Zhou to stay in the fight.
Wild how careers can differ so much, I'm in 2033 with my RB career, and AR has become a rocket ship, they're the only team able to hang with my drivers
Oh wow, yeah they have never really amounted to anything in mine.

Aston Martin simply don't have the pace now. The crash fest mid part of the season really hurt development. Red Bull, Alpine and McLaren have all moved onwards and we are not there anymore.

Japanese Grand Prix:
Lawson and Tsolov got past Schumacher, who started on the Hard tyres. And you know, as it goes, Lawson sits behind Tsolov for a few laps. On Lap 13, Liam gets a good run and goes to the outside of Turn 1. Tsolov hits him, knocks them both off the track. Lawson drops to 18th, Tsolov to 9th. Amazing. Absolutely brilliant stuff. 10/10. And as usually been the case. The car on the outside that gets run into (Lawson in this case) gets the penalty! Wonderful stuff.
Oh my god... Last lap, last corner

At this point, from Aston Martin's TP point of view. I think P3 in the drivers championship is the goal now. With 5 rounds to go, it's not mathematically over by any means. But without upgrades and some bad luck for the top two, it's not likely to stay in the championship fight at the front.
As for the constructors, the optimist in me thinks we can have a crack at Red Bull, by way of both drivers out scoring Tsunoda. Again, we'll still need some luck on our side, but we'll give it a go. I think P4 would be a disappointment at this point, considering the team's progress.
From the overall view of the championship. It's curious that Alpine, while they have been consistent scorers with both drivers. They definitely brought an upgrade toward the end of the season. This was Schumacher's first race win this year. He's absolutely in with a shout if they can stay competitive.
when did max retire? I don't see him on the grid anymore
2033 was his final season, he retired with 7 titles
wow, so still schumachers record hasnt been beaten eh?
Well... through magic means Hamilton beat it. He retired with 9

US GRAND PRIX:
Huge championship news!
Lap 14/56. Tsunoda, running in P10 outbrakes himself and takes out himself, Verschoor and Norris. This is a huge chance for Schumacher and Zhou to close in the Drivers Championship, and a great one for AM to close on RB. Currently, Zhou P1, Lawson P2, Safety Car deployed

So with the conclusion of the penultimate round, a win for Tsunoda and a non-score from Schumacher has crowned Yuki Tsunoda his first world championship with Red Bull. He came close to winning one back in 2027 with Williams, but this year he has been an extremely strong driver but he has absolutely survived incidents with his rivals that have left them with non-scores. The constructors championship has been in Alpine's control all season long, and only now going into the final round does it look under threat as Red Bull have had a staggeringly strong end to the year with both drivers winning races. Alpine and Red Bull go into the Abu Dhabi finale 6 points apart!

I expect we will have a tough start to the year. Because of all the damage we picked up last season and getting stuck in the financial hell hole, I didn't get as much research done as I would have like to

The Aston Martin fortunes couldn't have been more different. On the one hand, Lawson was flawless, a delight, every bit the driver I thought he was when I signed him. Didn't put a foot wrong, executed the perfect one stop strategy against a faster Ferrari. Verschoor on the other hand, got involved in an incident which caused him bits of damage, and got him a 10 second penalty

As suspected, Ferrari are going to be very hard to beat. I'm already looking at a Verschoor replacement. Potentially Maloney. It's going to be $11million to break Verschoor out but I can't wait too long for him to get into gear. He's scored 6 points compared to Lawson's 66...
Driver Transfer:
Richard Verschoor has been let go from Aston Martin and has been replaced by Zane Maloney. Maloney will partner Hugh Bird in the second car, he currently sits 7th in Drivers Championship and joins with the aim to take the fight to Ferrari and Red Bull in the constructors championship.
Richard Verschoor joins Williams.
verschoor just wasnt cutting it ay?
It's a gamble tbh. I don't want to spend another 3/4 rounds working out if he's up to the task. I now have the 2nd and 4th highest rated drivers on the grid. I hope it pays off
I can understand that he got taken out in R1. In R2, he couldn't make it into the top 10 in qualifying in the previous 2 rounds
MALONEYYY
Oh
Is this a move you support lol?
I Just saw Maloney and Verschoor, but uhhh Maloney is right now 8th right?

The Ferrari's started out with blistering pace. Once I'd got Maloney and Lawson into third and fourth, it turned into a bit of a strategy battle. Pourchaire and Lawson just pitted after a spin from Norris on lap 26 brought out the Red Flag, with Bearman 1st and Maloney 2nd, Lawson P3 and Pourchaire P4.
It's a straight fight to the end on Hard tyres...
IT'S A 1-2 FOR ASTON MARTIN!!!

Maloney was trading places with Bearman for 1st and 2nd to the end of the race. Lawson held 3rd, despite constant pressure from Pourchaire. Our guys held onto their tyres a bit better than the Ferraris. And with 4 laps to go, Maloney took the lead and never looked back. Lawson passed Bearman with 2 to go. In an ideal championshp world, Maloney would've finished 2nd, but firstly, I don't believe in a driver being asked to give up a victory, and secondly, even if I did, it was too risky to swap them round
Anyway

Norris' victory at Qatar comes with an announcement
Aston really didn't have the pace this weekend. Lawson was definitely lacking a bit of race pace compared to Maloney.
no way, why is he retiring, he only have 1 title
ive never seen an driver retiring in my saves
He won it in Ferrari in 2031. He won the first 17 races of the season in a row. Absolutely dominated.
At this point this is his 17th season

Driver Announcement:
Aston Martin announce the departure of Liam Lawson at the conclusion of the 2035 season. Despite the team's best efforts to re-sign him, he has made it clear he is leaning towards retirement.
Replacing Liam will be Oscar Piastri, who has signed a multi-year deal. Oscar will join Zane Maloney, who has also extended his contract to bring Aston Martin the driver security it requires.
Also, just in case it's of interest, here are all the champions so far in this save. The team in brackets just represents which team the driver drove for
So far:
2023: Verstappen (Red Bull) / Red Bull
2024: Verstappen (Red Bull) / Red Bull
2025: Verstappen (Red Bull) / Red Bull
2026: Leclerc (Red Bull) / Red Bull
2027: Verstappen (Red Bull) / Red Bull

2033: Hamilton (Ferrari) / Ferrari
2034: Tsunoda (Red Bull) / Red Bull
2035: Lawson (Aston Martin) / Aston Martin
2036: Piastri (Aston Martin) / Aston Martin
lol the glitched message. What would it usually say
Iwasa won from last on the grid?!
I have no idea lol
Yeah it was a crazy race. I think he technically crossed the line second, but Mini (who was first) had a 5 second penalty.
or 10 second
Wow... in 10 years only 2 teams won the title..again
Yeah... it's a depressing reading lol
Tsunoda came close for Williams 2027, and obviously Alpine almost won the constructors in 2034. I'm desperately trying to make 2035 a new team at the top

Inevitably, the two Aston Martin's crashed into each other on lap 1. Not majorly, but Maloney (deservedly) got a 5 sec penalty and got minor front wing damage and Liam had minor suspension damage, which hampered his pace all race.

Maloney and Schumacher come together into Turn 1. Maloney out on the spot. Lawson in P3 chasing Pourchaire on the same strategy. Bearman is leading on a different one. Bearman has benefitted from a cheap pit stop. It's too early for Lawson and Pourchaire

In a moment of madness, I sent our reserve driver out for FP1. She's 73 rated, done a few FP1's, signed her for 2034 and extended since then. She won the F2 championship and I'm determined to get her on the grid. When/If Lawson wins the title, she'll do all the FP1's to the end of the season. Incidentally, I gave her a flying lap full beans on softs at the end of the session and she went fastest, 7 tenths quicker than Lawson. Admittedly, his power unit parts are in significantly worse condition for that session

We're off! Interesting starting tactics, Pourchaire and Norris both start on the Mediums, Lawson on softs
Lap 5, Pourchaire is running a very fast race. He's really going for it already, Lawson is running with him though. Leaving Norris behind a bit.
The Ferrari is very good in the final sector it seems. It's quite hard for Lawson to stay in DRS
Lap 15: Lawson takes the lead! His pit-stop is coming up, he's going to burn these tyres up. Norris 5 seconds back in P3
Maloney locks up into Turn 2 from 6th place! And due to the fantastic rejoining skills, he rejoins in 19th place. His sector 1 was 47.4 seconds. The next slowest was a 29.3 Just for reference. There was at least 2 gaps he could've gone into.
Painful second stint from Lawson. He's locked up twice going into turn 6.

- For Pourchaire to stay in the championship fight, he must out-score Lawson by 12 points.

We have definitely lost a bit of performance compared to the others. Lawson is just about hanging on in the DRS train, but he's having to use a bit more tyres to hold on.
Lap 19:
I've panicked. Tsunoda came up behind Lawson and I cannot risk Tsunoda taking Lawson out. I converted Lawson onto a M-H strategy that he can go aggressive on. He had a 4.3 second pit-stop.
RIGHT CALL! TSUNODA CRASHED WITH NORRIS!
Lap 26/44
Pourchaire caught up to Maloney who was yet to stop. Unfortunately, Aston Martin work as a team, so Zane quite handily held Pourchaire up.

Lap 37
Drugovich and Pourchaire have been scrapping. Lawson has remained in P3 in DRS. He doesn't need to be ahead to win the championship. The top two fighting has allowed Tsunoda and Norris to catch up. Now is the time to make a move. I do not want Lawson being taken out by Tsunoda.

Tsunoda, Lawson, Norris all retired. Thus confirming Piastri is now the only remaining driver on the grid that was on the 2024 grid.
2036 jesus
Tsunoda, norris and lawson retired, wow
how old are they?
tsunoda 35? norris 37? lawson 34/35?
Free Piastri can't lie
what are the ratings of Verschoor, Drugovich, Schumacher, Pourchaire and maloney?
ahh okay, lawson 33 is pretty young for me
WHAT IS HE FROM 2002?
TP 93, ZM 91, FD 91, MSC 91
ahh okay
so its possible to have uhhh mick getting in 93/94 if u have him in ur team till '37?
36*
sorry
NOOOO
lol
he is in uhh alpine?
He is
oh fuck im dumb, u showed the grid...
shitty ass career
ye atleast
mick is so shit at the begin of the save
but later he is good i see
He won the 2034 Qatar Grand Prix, so he had to wait a while
And he did almost win the championship in 2034, with only one race victory
fr?
Yeah, he took the fight to Tsunoda in the Red Bull. Tsunoda won it in the final round
lost by 58 points...
double points?
Misremembered, Alpine lost the constructors in the last round
Yeah Mick lost it with a round to go I think
oh fuck uhh i see i reached something in f1m is it okay i send here an screen?
ahh okay
you do custom calendars?
Yeah
Gotcha
and still have 1 save in 2033
Oh wow, that's impressive
never touched again after october
ye, its like fucking ass grid for, too many f2 drivers and f3 i think
in m24 i'll try to reach 2035
thats easier because of beginning in 2024, but now its not fun to start an new one you know? 2023 and 24 is the same because no transfers or just the standards ( de vries or sargeant out, ricciardo and mick in, tsunoda to williams, zhou to alphatauri or someone to alfa romeo) so then in 25 u get an "mixed grid" and after 26 its more fun because more transfers happend, the grid is insane so like p3-8 is fighting, happend in my save once
This is what i mean with "what i reached in f1 manager"
Oh wow. That's a lot of hours lol.
Ye its insane i know, my furthest saves are:
RB '33 (TM) Team switching
Williams '29
Alphatauri '26 (TM + playing right now)
Uhhh Alphatauri "27
Thats it i think
No wait, Aston Martin '28 with Alonso 7 titles
Whoa! About time someone got Alonso some titles

Race
Maloney and Pourchaire had an identical lock up into Ascari, which cost them both time. Maloney must've made like 5 little mistakes this race, less than ideal. Piastri's debut for the team was going well with 3 laps to go. He was running 3rd, with 3 tenths covering himself, Bearman and Schumacher. Into the second chicane, Piastri makes his move, clobbers into Bearman and costs them both time, and picks up a 5 second penalty. Fortunately, he still pulled enough of a gap back to 3rd, but still.

Ferrari and Aston Martin are very much the class of the field. In the first stint, the top 4 were very evenly matched. But as the strategy played out, Ferrari started to fall away.

The star of qualifying is Drugovich. He topped every single session. Colapinto is fierce in the second sector but Drugovich was just mighty. He got a mega tow on his last lap in Q3 and would've crushed the field, but he got blocked in the last sector. So the fact he was still 4 tenths up on second is something to worry about

Drugovich was so quick. Absolutely insanely fast. We tried to match his sheer pace with alternate strategy, but he still finished 1.6 seconds ahead despite a charging Piastri

Drugovich was giving us a good run for our money today, but Red Bull made a weird strategy call by putting him on Hard tyres under VSC. By doing that, we were basically given huge amount of free lap time which made the race result look more dominant than it was.

The Team Manager at Aston Martin made a terrible mistake. When I pitted Maloney, who was running 2nd. Instead of clicking the Hard tyres, I went one too far and hit Intermediates. So he had to do a lap on inters and then pit again. He recovered well back from 12th, but it should've been better

Race
That might be the most uneventful race I've had for ages. It was lightly raining from lap 10. It dried up a bit in the middle, so I switched Maloney back onto Softs to see what he could do, ultimately it didn't work because he was 4th when I pitted him and he finished 7th after he had to pit for inters again. But honestly as so little else happened, I'm glad I did it.

Race
The Red Bulls have run out front all race long. Piastri has sort of hung on but not really been able to pressure. Pourchaire is on a one-stop and looks set for a tidy result. Lap 43/53. SC deployed after the two Williams crash into each other at T1.
Piastri had pitted for a second time first of the top 3 and had gained track position. I left him out at the SC deployment.
Lap 47/53
1st - PIA - 64% S
2nd - DRU - 71% S
3rd - IWA - 85% S
4th - TSO - 56% H
5th - POU - 93% S
This is going to be a very tasty restart. If Piastri holds onto this win, I'll be very, very impressed.
Oscar tried so hard. He lost it with 2 laps to go and even then he stuck right with Pourchaire. At the flag, Pourchaire had 64% and Piastri had 35% tyres, so he did alright by me.

Maloney just genuinely seemed to struggle in qualifying. He even used an extra set of tyres compared to Oscar and still couldn't get into Q3.

McLaren lock out the front row for a second race weekend in a row. They've definitely brought an upgrade or two at the end of the year.
Piastri got blocked on his final lap in qualifying again, but honestly the pace is starting to fade in this years car. We've not brought upgrades for a while

McLaren were untouchable today. Even with an aggressive strategy and on form Piastri, the closest we got was within 2 seconds of O'Sullivan towards the end, but we never had a chance to fight properly. Maloney got hit on lap 1 and had chassis damage all race.

Season End
2037 | Mercedes | Hard/Hard
Having set Aston Martin on a path to success. I've joined Mercedes to rebuild their championship attempts. The last drivers championship was Hamilton in 2020, and the last constructors was 2021.
Verlee Gilbert has been the reserve driver at Aston since I joined. She won the F2 championship and I decided she deserved an F1 chance. She's done a lot of FP1 sessions for Aston Martin, but with their main drivers locked down on long-term contracts, there was no easy way to promote her to the F1 seat.
By bringing her with me to Mercedes, I can get her on the grid immediately.

I'm a little disappointed that the contract with O'Sullivan had already been signed for 2037. I worked with him at Aston Martin and ultimately bought him out of his contact as he was seriously underperforming. He had a strong end to last season so I'm hoping this will continue as Mercedes have signed him up for 5 years!
Piastri is going to be around for a couple more seasons at least. I think Schumacher is about to retire though
Verlee Gilbert has been the reserve driver at Aston since I joined. She won the F2 championship in 2034 and I decided she deserved an F1 chance. Staff Update:
In a flurry of quick signings.
Mercedes have renewed Jörn Becker's contract to tie in with Gilbert's contract to allow maximise stability.
Mercedes have also signed Peter Bonnington, who will make a sensational return to the team in 2038 and see out his final years in Formula 1.
Long term Red Bull ace, Johnathan Wheatley at the age of 71 has also signed up with Mercedes for 2038 on a multi-year deal.
I'm extremely delighted to bring this plethora of experience to Mercedes
2037 | R1 | Australia
Bit of a bold move by Ferrari. They have put their reserve driver in for the first practice session of the season. Bearman will miss the first meaningful on track running
Gilbert showing her rookie colours, crashing on the exit of the fast Turn 10 chicane has put her out of the session.
In FP1, so far Hadjar, Colapinto and Gilbert have all crashed out.
Given the guarantee that we won't be fighting for the championship this season, I'm not going to provide as complete results as last time. I'll post our results and top 5 in race results and champinoships

We tried a one-stop on O'Sullivan, which ultimately worked fine. With Gilbert, she went on a two stop. She had a little lock up after her first pit-stop, which cost her a couple of positions and a few seconds. Of the 3 pit-stops we made, 2 were the 6th and 7th fastest in the race. Unfortunately, at her second stop we had an issue releasing the car and she had a 9 second pit-stop that dropped her to the back. She recovered to P18 and could've easily been P12/P13 without that huge time loss in the pits

Painfully for Gilbert, she actually had a solid first half of the race. O'Sullivan was 13th and Gilbert was running 11th. After she made her first pit-stop but Hadjar pushed her wide at turn 6 and given the painfully slow rejoins, she dropped to all but last place.

Race
This season is a season of patience. If I was earlier in the career, I would absolutely have fired Gilbert. She was running in the top ten, but had a lock up before her first stop which cost her 4 seconds, and then ran wide before the second stop costing even more. Both of these, plus the strategy the leaders were on, meant she got lapped and her race was over by half race distance. Fortunately, this is a building year. The most important thing here is to improve her ratings, she is still rated 78, so we need to iron out the mistakes first. Hopefully as the car gets more competitive, she will too.

Well, it seems my proven track record of turning Ferrari into a championship winning team, and taking Aston Martin from the back of the grid into a championship winning team doesn't mean anything to the board at Mercedes.
The board have lost confidence in my ability to turn the team around. Despite not even being a year into the project. If the board will not show the patience that is necessary for this project to work, I will likely leave the team at the end of the year.

Honestly from a wider narrative, Mercedes need to show they have faith in me and the project. A lot of work is going into the 38 car, and we still have another upgrade for this year coming.
At least one of the drivers are changing, and I have an idea who might be joining, but if Mercedes don't want me, then I'll not be signing the best drivers I can if I'm changing teams

Championship wise, Pourchaire is soon to be world champion. At Mercedes, the target is to hold on to 9th, we're 5 points clear of Alfa Romeo in 10th. But we're 18 points now behind Haas, and even though we're scrapping for minor points, I think that's a big ask in 4 races

Theo Pourchaire wins his first world championship with Ferrari.
In 2035, Pourchaire left the Silver Arrows and joined the Scarlet team with a clear objective. With consecutive runner-up spots in 35 and 36, his time on top came finally for 2037, wrapping up the championship with two races to go.
Pourchaire's contract is up at the end of the year, surely Ferrari will be quick to sign him up for longer for 2038 and onwards.

Yeah! He's been off doing things like WEC and even had a year in IndyCar but now he's back

Btw 1 question, i dont know if u can remember that, at which season did u get rookies? Because im in 2026 and the only rookies are joined in 2025, Pourchaire and Doohan
So I kept an excel spreadsheet from 23 to 34, but I only tracked the top 10 positions every race. So I don't know if there were others further down the grid that never scored points.
2025: Pourchaire
2026: Lawson, Drugovich
2027: Bearman
2028: Maloney, Fittipaldi
2029: Verschoor
I think Doohan made his debut but then left again and then came back. Same with Iwasa.
Ahh okay, i hope i get more rookies in 27, i think its because when i left Alphatauri i gave Hamilton and Bottas 3 years 😭, so ye, fair enough
Ye in my save Piastri left and came back, same with Tsunoda

Race
Well. Verstappen is back at his best. At the age of 40, he has lost absolutely nothing. He controlled the race perfectly. Executing his 2 stop M-S-S strategy so well that by lap 70, he had a 45 second lead over those behind him, most of those 1 stopping. A late red flag destroyed that advantage, but the 7 lap dash to the end didn't stop him from pulling a 7 second advantage over 2nd. Mini was also on a 2 stop, S-M-S, but he got stuck in a DRS train and just couldn't clear his way though.

Hard race?
Chaotic. There were 4 VSC. Max got caught up in 2 separate incidents (Not penalised for either)
Okay ye fair enough, then he could have p8 if he only collide once
Mini actually crossed the line 4th but the two Aston Martins collided with 3/4 laps to the end
Ahh okay so it was Lucky an unlucky race
Ye. He is how much rated?
did you rule 5 him in?
cuz the rating wouldnt drop while he was retired i think
other wise he'd be much lower rating
Yeah but it'll drop again now he's back
he retired in my save after 2032, i got the message when i was at mercedes in 32
Wdym by rule 5?

Mini is really struggling here, he was 1.1 seconds slower in Q3 than Verstappen.
He seemed to have lost time to Max through the sessions. 0.2 slower in Q1, 0.4 in Q2 and then the massive 1.1 in Q3. They both got clear laps and they both have similar PU setups and fresh tyres

Race
Verstappen was utterly dominant in the race. With 3 laps to go, he had a 26 second gap. I decided to pit him for fastest lap and that's when we had a bad pitstop! He dropped down to 4th with literally one lap to get past 3 cars all within 0.3 seconds.
It was extremely tense
damn got too cocky
He still did it, but it was a thrilling end to a gp that was wholly unnecessary xD

Mini had an awful weekend. Off the pace in qualifying, off the pace in the race and had a lock up which really finished off his weekend. Hopefully that was a blip.
Verstappen on the other hand had a superb weekend. The race itself was a masterclass. He went H-M-S whereas Piastri went S-M-H, Piastri obviously undercut both times but the pace advantage at the end was astronomical.

Aston Martin have signed Verstappen on a 2 year deal. AM are going to be mighty powerful this season.

There are few things that really annoy me in this game but the traffic getting out the way on qualifying laps is absolutely one of them. It's in the top 3.

Race
Wet weather towards the end gave a real twist. This race was extremely close, at half race distance, the gaps were still really close. Most cars went Inters > Wets. But race winner Enzo Fittipaldi went onto the inters and held on for dear life. Verstappen, who had been leading went straight onto the wets and paid the price for slow lap times in light rain

2039 | R7/23 | Monaco
Qualifying around Monaco is always special, and the margins at the top were very close come the end of Q3 with 4 teams in the top 6 positions
1st - Colapinto (RB) - 1:07.819

Race
Lap 3, in a desperate attempt to get past Colapinto, Bearman ran wide at the top of the hill and put his car in the wall. Causing a safety car.
Lap 12, Red flag as Nogueira puts it in the wall before the tunnel
Lap 44, Red flag number 2, as Fittipaldi and Best collide at turn 1. Hugely beneficial for Verstappen who had yet to make his second stop
Lap 61, Red flag number 3 as Mini goes side by side with Verstappen into Tabac. Mini turns in too early, clips the barrier and puts Verstappen in the wall
Lap 68, VSC deployed! Maloney is in the wall at Mirabeau!
We have 10 laps to go and we're down to 13 cars

Qualifying
Man these sessions are super close. AlphaTauri seem to have installed a rocket in the back of their car this weekend. Hadjar topped every session

Race
Man, I messed up. I double stacked the Ferrari's on the dry stop and cost Bearman 3/4 seconds. Whereas Pourchaire came out in 8th/9th, Bearman came out in 15th. From there, he was on an uphill battle, he caught back up to Pourchaire just as the wet weather came, and a second double stack saw him drop back again and get caught up in a train he couldn't get through without DRS
1st - Pourchaire (Ferrari)

Qualifying
The blocking is insane. Pourchaire lost two seconds at turn 7 and as such starts 15th. Quite glad it's a sprint weekend.

2nd - Barter (AT) +0.050
3rd - O'Sullivan (RB) +0.068
4th - Bearman (Ferrari) +0.106
5th - Fittipaldi (Williams) +0.261
15th - Pourchaire (Ferrari)
Sprint
Theo Pourchaire take a goddamn bow. World Champions never lose their touch and he was spectacular in the sprint. I started Bearman on softs because I wanted to have 2 mediums available for the Grand Prix and I started Pourchaire on Hards for the same reason, but given how far back he was, he could push all the way and I hoped it would help him overtake.
Bearman hung out front with the two Red Bulls, managing his tyres for the last 9 laps, Pourchaire was pushing hard. He gained 12 places in 21 laps (we had 3 laps of VSC early on)
1st - Bearman (Ferrari)
2nd - O'Sullivan (RB)

2039 | Terminated
Kinda sad to end the season early, but it’s obvious that pourchaire is gonna win
Yeah he was by far and away the most consistent.
I have 491.8 hours and at least 95% of that is going to be this save. I started an Alpine one at some point but I didn't make it far because I wanted to come back to this one lol.
