Title: Some tracks have framerate issues on Xbox Series Consoles and PS5

Tags: Performance Issues

Description: I have played the game on both Xbox Series X and PS5, some tracks like homestead and nashville are fine with framerate, but other tracks like chicago and watkins glen I get like 30-40 Fps.

Steps to Reproduce example:

  1. Launch NASCAR 25 on Xbox PS5.
  2. From the main menu, select any track.
  3. Choose any driver or team.
  4. Press Start to load into the first race.
  5. The game framerate drops when playing at certain tracks

Platform: (Xbox | PS5)

Game Version / Build #: Current Xbox and Ps5 build

Frequency: Sometimes, especially with 40 cars online

Media if applicable: Video: (Not sure if the clip will show the frame drops if it exports to 30 fps but I clipped it when it happened, I will try to get more clips of this issue if needed)

Additional Notes: Its not unplayable but it is a bit annoying

I'm getting the same stuff. It's really bad at Watkins and at night anywhere.

Yeah, night races are laggy as hell here on PS5

Try turning off the mirror. It gives you higher FPS

If ‘15 can do it no problem, then so should 25

Mine actually became unplayable for a little bit earlier today. Like below 15-20 fps. It was bad

Nashville is fine during the day and without the mirror. The frame rate drops when in Sunset and Night time

Yup seems night racing drops fps and the mirror drops fps so far

# slim timber PS5 is NOT old hardware 😭

I didn't say it was, I said ESPECIALLY on old hardware. Regardless, UE5 runs poorly and optimization is difficult. PS5 hardware may not be old, but it's hardware is the equivalent to a low-mid tier PC, its not super great hardware.

We are already looking into this at Watkins. A track list of the worst offenders from what you have experienced would be helpful.

Chicago, Dega, Daytona, and any night race

^ the mirror does not use dynamic resolution, it is set to whatever resolution your device is set to. It would probably be worth it to set the mirror's resolution to dynamic as well. (Not the cockpit mirror)

North Wilkesboro was running at a lower frame rate compared to other ovals on PS5

I’ve been having issues with lower FPS at night races. I made a separate post and was directed here. Since the last patch, it doesn’t seem to be an issue, however idk if that’s just a fluke.

It’s def still there

#

It’s just not nearly as bad

#

Game still won’t run 60 fps constant

Yea

Especially with the mirror

That mirror is so resource intensive
