Do PowerPoints not auto save on the file? I submitted an assignment and got a 0 because it was blank, but I filled it all out.

When you make powerpoints or anything on office for that matter their tends to be two versions of the file. The file actually saved and synced to your cloud and the file that was not saved and synced. You may have accidentally turned in the non-synced one.
It's always good to make sure you change the file location to somewhere you remember within the power point after turning on auto-save or the computer puts the new file in a random location.
This is a common issue I see with other people when it comes to microsoft office.

Normally it will prompt you to turn on auto save before closing the file so it is likely that you just turned in the wrong version of the file.

When designing things digitally, simpler is sometimes better. Don't overthink your designs and make sure to plan out your projects beforehand so that they are less stressful. I have done my fair share of digital design and these are the two most important pieces of advice I could give.

Also, don't be afraid to ask for help or use resources outside of class to assist you.

If you are a beginner beginner you can try things like Canva to get some practice for learning design layout.

Firstly, if you forget a word, consider replacing it with another. However, don't spend too much time considering the replacement word as it should be an immediate response or else you could omit the word altogether but ensure that the sentence structure is preserved.

Try to focus on one person and make hand gestures and try to change your voice which accordance to what you are speaking

If you have probs with speaking like you are why try to practice it with your friends or infront of the mirror and try to get suggestions like how to improve it

I have seen most of gohar’s videos(if not all) and one of my biggest problems is with organization of dates, HW, tests, study time and basic timing. I’m planning to join a lot more clubs the next year, as well as working out and training for a marathon for my resume, as well as all the competitions and clubs I am already in. First off you should safeguard your GPA and for that I would've studied every subject before the lecture and take notes, take notes during the lecture too from teacher's points and immediately at that lecture's evening repeat every note and again take notes of important stuff. This study habit can gain you lots of time with high success. I've used this technique for my first year at university and my GPA is 3.91/4.00 with several extracurricular activities.

Aside from studying before every lecture (I just do a quick brief overview so I am refreshed on information), I do take notes on what the teacher has said but only after he has finished speaking and if I have no questions. Yes you are right this technique saves SO much time, but my problem is with organization. Though I like the idea of adding to your notes when reviewing them in the evening, I always felt like my notes were like “set in stone” and I couldn’t edit it, Idk why but I will start doing that now.

Don't know if it is the best style but before the lecture write down everything on your slides or material. Then on the lecture write down only things your teacher said and highlighted. Then after the lecture (do it at that evening to be effective) cross match the same ones and practice on them.

First phase is a little time consuming and I am open to improving the technique but you are basically guaranteed to cover everything you have.

It's not about clubs, it's about making a difference, a good one. You are also not too late. I started my goal to attend a service academy as a sophomore as well, so you will most certainly have time. Still though, joining clubs is a good thing to put on your resume, especially if you hold leadership positions and make an impact in your club. For websites if you want to code it from scratch, I guess you can use visual studio code but you’d need knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It’d be fun to learn these languages too! I am an immigrant from India and came to Canada last year. I had average(60-70/80%) in 9th, 86% in 10th class, and completed my 11th grade in Canadian High school. I have an average of 70% and gpa of 2.56. I will be retaking two courses to increase my gpa upto 3.0.

quality over quantity, your ecs dont have to be something you do in school! for example, you can start volunteering somewhere nearby or maybe start or join a club at school that interests you. Based off of the scholarships i've looked at, there arent any based off of specific ecs, more like general leadership in school or your community kinda thing. I started out by volunteering at a local daycare for example and it kinda helped me narrow down what ecs im actually interested in (those children were demons.) Some fun ecs to get started: plant some trees, pick up some litter at a local park or just around your neighbourhood, begin to look into what clubs around school might interest you, i joined model un cause it seemed interesting and now im the leader of that club (while ecs related to your undergrad can help, having them not related wont negatively impact you on your app)

Depends on the uni. Some schools don't accept any "accredited college" credits at all. Other schools would take either to let you clear a basic level comp sci class AND give you elective credit for the other. Check the college's website for more info when it comes to the specific college.

Hey, I'm a freshman with horrible adhd and I cannot remember any of my homework after I leave school. Is there an app or a way to help me remember my things better because I have no clue what to do!

One thing I did in high school is write assignments as well as their due dates in my notebook (or whatever you use to take notes) the moment they are announced and then put them on Google Calendar and Microsoft Excel when I get home.

It's also important to always leave those apps/sites open on your device in case you happen to see it as you are scrolling through apps (just make sure to hit save on Excel frequently enough)

Guys I need help. So in my school we can take a max of 6 IGCSE subjects. But other schools in my area allow students to take up to 9. To get into top universities, does it matter how many subjects I take? What other restrictions are there to having less subjects for IGCSE's, what should I do? Should I change schools to one the offers more subjects? Or should I look into something else? I've seen online people taking 10-12-16 subjects and I was getting concerned if I couldn't take these subjects too, because there are many subjects my school simply doesn't offer. Should I try and write exams privately after self-studying? Is that a thing?

Hi, I'm Tanay Shah. I moved to America in 2023 and was admitted to Old Bridge High School in 11th grade. Since there is no AP or CP education system in India, my counselor couldn't assess my knowledge to place me in AP classes. However, I performed well in the classes assigned to me and achieved High Honor Roll and Honor Roll twice in four marking periods. My question is: I am taking a few AP and Honors classes in 12th grade, and I will submit my 11th-grade scores. Will Rutgers University reject me for not taking AP classes earlier?
