Do you think I have a shot at making it to the Ivy league to play bball? I heard that sports is the best way to get into the ivy league. I played freshmen year but then i moved schools midway through the year and i didn’t play at my new school. i haven’t played in sophomore year. i am thinking about playing junior and senior year to try and get recruited so that i can get into the ivy league. i have a 4.0 unweighted gpa and i’m top 3 percent in my class out of 750 kids. i’m pretty decent at basketball and i feel that if i give 100 percent i can make it. ppg depends on which ivy you are targetting and whether you play for your mens or womens team. some of the better mens basketball ivies are princeton, cornell and yale. as a junior next year, (i assume you play pg), 20 ppg on a good team is p good. if you could avg a double double, that would make it even sweeter, but 7 to 8 apg should be god as well i've heard that you shouldn't slouch on ivy league sports tho, since they are really competitive as most of the kids are kids who are in the same boat as you, with a competent enough profile to make it without their sport.

i dont do ap micro, but i do economics for a levels. What i find helps is sticking to a clear plan. Its what the mark scheme goes with as well. Make the point, apply economic theory to it, graphs, expand on it, long run short run, advantages disadvantages etc. then relate it back to the time during the question. is it realistically likely to happen? why/why not?

it really only matters to a certain point, and it can also depend on how well known your school is and how many people are in your class

like saying valedictorian is a great feat, but usually from a ranking of 3 all the way down to say 50 the grades wont change too much if theres a lot of students

its definitely not a huge huge thing colleges look into for applications, so its always better to just try and do your best at school

its definitely more useful to try and get ecs and leadship positions (ones where you can explain the impact you had by being in that position, not just being in the position itself) because somebody 30th on ranking for a school with tough classes might be smarter than the valedictorian of a school with easier classes, and college admissions know that

can you define what you mean by sleeping 8 hours? does that mean you fall asleep and its been 8 hours then you wake up and get out of bed?

because most people can spend from 10 to 50 minutes awake at night that they dont even remember. if you have something to track your sleep like a fitbit then it would be able to give you a fairly accurate estimate, but it might be worth it to try and sleep more

and 8 hours is actually the minimum amount of sleep a 13 year old should get, it should be closer to 9 or even 10 if you still find yourself tired (but some might even need 11 hours, it all depends on the person)

theres also a lot of things that can affect your sleep from not getting enough exercise to having caffeine after 2pm

People have a certain amount of sleep that's perfect. Against popular beliefs the recommended amount doesn't take into consideration the individual. An idea is to find out how long it takes for you to feel energized and stick with it. Personally, I found out from nights of staying up gaming, but you can find an actually healthy way of finding out what your sleep schedule should be.

for me it's about 5-6 hours of sleep, and if you fall asleep at the same time and wake up at the same time your body will adjust to it and start waking you up naturally around that time

We have a filming about mental health awareness and as a scriptwriter, I lost down my way to a good ending for our story
Our story is about a top student of his school wherein he feels under a lot of school pressure, and a LOT of family problems such as being compared to cousins. Then recently caught giving answers to his friend in an exam which caused more conflict between he and his mother. With this, we plan to end the story after the conflict with his mother where moral lessons will be shown, but something seems to be empty or missing in the story
