Unfortunately ap credit is highly variable across colleges. Sometimes you can get out of the base level classes, but you still have to complete a class in that area of study. Other times, schools only accept a few ap credits. That being said, ap classes and test scores are great ways to improve the academic side of your application. I think that people should take as many ap classes as they can, unless there are more difficult options.
