ok
guys i’m doing 7 APS next year - AP CSA, APCSP, APUSH, AP LANG, AP French, AP Physics, and AP Calc
any tips?
woah thats a lot
ap lang and csp are pretty easy in my opinion
cus i took them this year
but csa along with physics and apush might be a bit rigorous
but if your passionate abt it then u can def do it
calc ab or bc?
Why APCSA and APCSP at the same time?
Also what kind of physics are you taking?
And what is your major?
physics 1
comp sci
because i’m majoring in CS that’s why
You need physics 1 for comp sci?
Yeah but CSP doesn’t really help though
i’m taking it as an easy period
because i’m taking so many 😭
i need the gpa boost too
What about physics 1
physics 1 is required in my school
I ain’t know you need it for comp sci
yeah but it’s a core schedule so
physics 1 is rly useful for comp sci
it’s a core class in my school so u have to take it
What kind of school requires students to take APs
and then take phys c
schools in north texss where competition is at an all time high
that i’m not abt to do thars gonna kill me
Do you need physics 1 experience to take physics c?
Ya’ll don’t got regular public schools 😭
bc
oh cool
yeah
so youve completed ab
my school lets u choose between ab or bc
yeah
oh what
u don’t have to do it in order
oh how r u feeling abt that
i think it’s manageable
do u think u can do well in bc
yeah pre calc is light for me
what math should i take senior year
im taking ap precalc rn
next year about/bc
ab*
so if you do good in bc and physics 1 then u should prob take physics c
mechanics and e&m
okay
alright
its looks good on transcript
yeah cus cs
got it
and makes u stand out as a cs major for college
if you do good in ab then def take bc
calc bc just makes ur transcript shine
for pretty much any stem major
and bc in the next
stats
taking next year along with ab bc
or u can do dual enrollment at community college
like diff eqs, multivar calc, linear algebra
im taking ab bc ,stat, ap physics 1 and 4 duals
im gonna be taking 8 or 9 ap courses going into junior year (im not sure yet) and some other ap tests alongside that (self-studed), my goal was to genuinely take every ap class offered (which is like 40 now or something), would college admission officers care whether or not i take every ap class, like is there a difference between 39 aps and 40 aps (cause to my knowledge i would be the first to do so)
also i didnt mean to soujnd like big ego caus i kinda soujnd like that now that i read it, i was genuinely asking
take as much ap as you can
if you are able to handle the workload
just a reminder that officers love an individual who are very interested in a certain field so taking prior knowledge courses of your major will be adequate and not just random but overall taking anything at this point will help your acceptance
i heard that, but besides ap chem bio calc and physics or wtv else, wouldnt that be the max
so im doing the max rigor for the subjects related to premed (which is what i wanna do)
and im taking hte max rigor for subjects even unrelated
to wtv i major in
So I want to go into pre law
I’m not sure which of these electives should I take
- Business applications(semester)
- finance and investing(semester)
- Business Law and Ethics(semester)
I have to pick 2 I’m not sure which one to do
No, and self studying won't even 'count', not that there's much point to a wgpa above a 4.7
Don't do that many APs, especially self studied, if it's gonna take away from your ECs or even gonna be stressful, mental health is important, trust me.
It's not just about filling the box of taking 40 APs
Ask around for which ones are taught better or are just easier, or just look at the course material a bit or choose on instinct, it's really kinda upto you
would a 3.8 uw and a 4.6 w look better than a 3.9 uw and 4.4 w?
The prior
AOs look at wgpa first and foremost, they do look at uw and coursework but that's mostly in case of red flags (most of the things besides the important ones, though those can vary between colleges and AOs, are like this)
i was thinking that 3.8 plus is kinda the range where you dont get admitted because of an outstanding gpa but you also dont get rejected because of a subpar gpa
No
You never get admitted because of an outstanding GPA.
They expect, from a median admittee, a standard level of ECs, grades and essays, doing bad on one can't be compensated by doing on the median level in smth else
There's no compensation involved anyway
A 1600 won't compensate for a 4.3 wgpa, an amazing essay won't 'compensate' for medicore ECs, you don't need it to compensate for anything, you can still get in with a 'below median' application but it's not about compensation
no
or de
At my school, advanced classes are also on a 5.0 scale
Which means anyone can get a 5.0
our aps are also on a 5.0 scale but no one has ever reached 5.0 before, 4.6 at max n she took like 11 aps 😭
WHAT ure crazy 😭🙏
fs not
no?
yea i was gonna say
like above 12 is crazy
I made a huge mistake freshman year, I only took 2 APs and I had the opportunity to take maybe 4 if I pushed
i took none
It's in the past now 😔
real
I yearn to take as many AP classes as possible
I'm only taking 6 sophomore year, it's basically the max I can take
I know a few taking all 8 tho
ONLY
NAH
I don't even go to the competitive school in my city, there they're truly crazy
they come in at 6am for an extra class every day, so people take 10 APs a year
ur school is already competitive though compared to mine
..

not teensy, extremely 😭
we only have 5 classes
total?
huh interesting
hbu
1.5 hours
what
That's the national standard afaik
Yeah all of our courses are full year courses
A days and B days
I thought all of the US was like that lol
Surpisingly not.
no def no
Interesting
anyone knows Parsons School of Design
im trying to get like you😭
we can only take two and i can only take one
Oof
but i wanna take ap psychology online to make up for the one i cant take
Try to convince your conselors that's all I can say tbh
If you have a perfect gpa you can usually get some deals made
Yeah, try to take AP Seminar or an AP social studies
something like that
do you mind me asking which aps you're taking?
Sure, I'll just list all my courses for next year
AP Bio
AP World
AP CSA
AP Sem
AP Calc AB
AP Stats
Chemistry
French 4
calculus as a sophomore is crazy😭 i'm taking ap precalc next year
impressive classes tho ty
I'm taking Precalc over the summer because I need to get ahead in math to be a good applicant for aerospace
Unfortunately my school makes us do AB before BC but I'll try to skip ahead to BC early next year
oo we're in the same boat but im taking algebra 2 this summer
Nice
isnt it the same thing? but bc has a couple of more units
Essentially yeah
AB is a waste of time, I'll try my hardest to convince them
Then I can also say I was the only one in my entire grade (probably) to take BC as a sophomore 😎
good to know for my junior year i'll just skip to bc
If you can
yeah thats an awesome flex
AP CHEM (with calc based physics DE) vs AP physics 1
I was planning on doing AP Physics 1 but I realized that the credits don't do much, I also have more friends in AP chem, so I'm wondering if I should do AP chem with calc based physics DE which would be very difficult but would probably look better or if I should just do AP Physics 1 for the easy A
do the first option imo
although its gonna be hard its gonna look good on ur transcript n if u think u can do good, go for it
I have all 97 pluses rn but no APS (all honors though)
ive heard ap chem is hard but i think u can do it
its def a step up but u could always change ur schedule if u dont like it
Calc based DE should be pretty easy considering I already know a lot of the material USAPHO studying
All right, thank you!
yeah exactly you’ll thrive
anytime!
ap bio or ap chem next year? (I have a 96 overall in bio so far (unweighted), and my math grade is 100 YTD average)
is chem usually taken as a sophmore?
Chem is harder
alr
Ap bio and normal chem in 10th
got it
Could i self study for ap comp gov
not in my school lmao
What do the numbers and dashes mean on the AP course ledger
These are my course selections for 10th grade:
AP Precalculus
Anatomy & Physiology
AP Chemistry
AP Physics 1
English 2 Adv
GT Humanities (AP World History)
Spanish 3 Adv
Academic Decathlon (class)
How much homework/studying per day do you guys think I will have? I know it varies per teacher, but give me a rough estimate. Also note that my classes are split in an A/B schedule with 4 on each day.
What math are you doing?
Wow, thats hardcore.
Ok so taking both AP Chem and Physics is going to be a lot of work. Depending on your school's AcDec class, it could be fun, or mentally damaging
AP precalc is easy, but make sure u study outside the class with outside-class resources
my teacher didn't teach a lot, and my 2nd semester was new topics, so I got a B :/
(I did study a LOT for the AP, so the AP + class final was VERY easy)
Pre calc
Ap physics and ap chem is borderline suicidal
Where do you wanna go to uni, and what fields do you wanna do
There's no objective way to choose
Aerospace engineering
Isn't there specifically an engineering a level
Hey guys! I’m struggling to decide what AP courses I’m going to take next year. I’m only going to be taking 2, and one of those is definitely APUSH, as I ended APWH with a 103 last year. I can’t decide on my other, but I’m leaning towards AP Lang. Any others I should consider?
What other courses are you taking? What APs are available at your school? What ru interested in?
So, I actually don’t know what’s available. I’m switching schools. I’m going off what my friends in the area have told me, but I haven’t lived there since 5th grade
I really like history, and I’m okay at math and science
ELA is also something I’m good at
My old school only offered APWH to freshman
It's not ideal to choose APs without asking at least one person about the teacher, cus some teachers assign a lot of coursework or just teach it badly
It's probably best to wait to decide
I appreciate it. I’m going to email the counselors and ask around!
No
There is a level 3 course equivalent tho
I do engineering gcse
really? 14 year olds be taking that at my school
- ap chem + ap physics + they self study some ap courses too
i feel so dumb lmao
those kids seem like they got it together, but there sacrificing so much for academics
Anytime spent learning in any way is time spent well
Hmmm
I limit my AP courses because I want to have time to practice violin and run XC/track
Skills are so much more important than that extra 5 on some AP course
Oh yeah, that sounds like a great idea! Nice.
7 AP’s and sports generally aren’t in the same scentence
😂 I saw that edit
LOL
I don’t want to hold you back. Absolutely go for it if you want
but if it works out the only hard aps i will take is ap calc bc, ap chem, and ap physics the other ones people say are 'Easy"
idk
also i need to be valedictorian bro
Hey, that sounds like a good idea
I need to take ap courses for the gpa boost lmao
I’m also going for valedictorian
nice gl
You too!
my current valedictorian has an average of 100 in classes 💀
that's why i need to spam ap courses
HAHAHA
I’m going from a top 500 school in the nation to one that’s much less competitive
at my school they take off .1 for each number less than 100
:O LMAO my school is top 2500 or something 🥲
NO SHOT
I live in small city
That might work in your favor
Should I take computer science for college my entire family is forcing me to to take it dispite the fact I don't wanna take it and seeing chat gpt pretty much replace alot of things in the it sector?
Don’t take it if you don’t want to take it
If you force your self to do something that you don’t enjoy it’s not gonna last
I’m going to be a sophomore next year and I’m taking 5 APs is that too much? I haven’t done an ap before
It’s a little unrealistic
Because you have to manage extracurriculars on top of that
Btw, what APs are you taking?
i took 5 ap classes 6 ap tests this sophomore yr
it snot that bad
but also yea depends on which ons
i took the easier ones
ap precalc, ap csp, ap micro/macro, ap world history, ap spanish
Ap physics 1 , Ap science research, Ap euro, Ap comp sci, Ap pre calc
wth is ap science research
It’s a pre med class for studying micro biology and writing research papers
I don’t know what that means
idk how hard it is
also which ap cs
ap precalc is easy, but dont stop trying for later units bc the first unit is
so
easy
its easier than the end of alg2
unit 3 gets a little harder
Thanks
the others i cant speak on unless its ap csp, but if it is then, its as easy as everyone says it is
AP classroom
the guy behind me is like .02 lol
for now.
the gpa hasnt updated yet I think
youll be fine
comp sci is relatively light, research is ridiculously light, euro
is also easy
and pre calc is barely an ap
just study up for phys
yall, how hard is ap spanish lang, am i cooked for next yr
weighted?
uhmm actually 🤓
depends on teacher and level that they are at
depends on how confident u feel with spanish, the teacher
idk why yall ask here most ppl r gonna say its easy 😭
No I’m just talking about his percent grade in class
yeah ik, is his percentage weighted or unweighted
i can write but i cant listen 😭
gotta lock in then, trust
type shit
Sorry I don’t understand your question it’s our percent grade in class out of 100
but isnt honors like times 1.1 or something
I’m just talking about the grade I guess it’s unweighted then
is anyone here taking (or has taken) HL chem, bio and psychology for ib? im in grade 11 next AY and im hoping to do those subjects. id appreciate advice!
Guys, being valedictorian actually isn’t that important. Most colleges don’t take rank into account and convert your GPA to a 4.0 scale. If you don’t want to hear it from me, my cousin who went to UPenn Wharton said the same thing (best business school in the nation). Just focus on keeping a decent GPA and extracurriculars along with getting experience in your field.
Of course I’m still going to have a balanced life. I’m not going to take 1 krillion AP’s a year. Valedictorian is just a goal to keep me on track. I don’t really care if I actually get it
However, I do agree with what you say, there are certainly more important things than valedictorian
any thoughts on AP research? just finished AP Seminar this year
Is a physics major good for job markets?
Next year I’m going to be taking AP Chem, but I’m worried that the new teacher isn’t going to be that good so I want to be a little prepared and take an AP Chem course over the summer. Any online course suggestions?
jo
Bro what
Right now I’m going to community college then I going to study at Upen Wharton for business because I really want to Get in the business field
planning to transfer?
keep in mind that wharton accepts a very small number of transfers
You do not need a degree to start a business
And if you wanna go into admin, master's matters way more, doesnt it
In my sophomore year, should I take AP Comp Sci A? I was able to snag a spot in AP Comp Sci principles through a special request in my freshman year, but I am contemplating whether I should take AP Comp Sci A. I want to become the valedictorian, so the extra AP might help, but I have some junior friends who say that the coursework is rigorous.
I am taking 4 APs aside from it next year already
https://apresources.notion.site/AP-Chemistry-0956286486e940309d242c9100f40e44
I got a list of resources
Hello, I'm currently a freshman and ik its a long way until I apply for uni but I'm currently debating on law or biomedical. I do know biomedical is undergrad and I can apply to law even though I have an undergrad in biomed. But I can't decide for hs if I want to put my ap classes more in language or science and math.
In your guys's opinion, would it be better if I take 6 dual-enrollement courses with 4 AP's or 9 AP's with one Dual Enrollment course? I am hoping for top UC's and Ivies(emphasis on hope)
In one year?
No across all 4 years
alr thanks!
Np
if ivies are important to you then aps definitely though
ok
im thinking about dual enrollment next year
is taking 3 too much
3 dual enroll and 3 aps too much
i took 5 aps this year so compared to that
and with college apps and my competitions too
I'm taking like 6 aps next year smh
i should lowkey calm down but like i need a 5 on certain exams
dual is better
U can take dual and a few aps, most of them aren’t even that hard
idk about dual though
what do you like more? I'm a pre-law and I've always leaned more towards subjects like english and history rather than the hard sciences
goddamn
you're gonna have no time at all
I took 7 APs junior year and that shit took a year off my life
Are you interested in computer science?
bro literally same
i took 5
and it was suicide
i dont what i was thinking just randomly signing up for 5 aps like that
and i couldnt drop out in the middle either and it was trauma pulling through the entire year
exam season in may was hell
thank god its finally over with
im feeling nauseous just by thinking of it
i would lean into more science n math
Taking an AP language class is still helpful since it’s a gen ed at most colleges
Wait are you talking about AP lang? Cuz idk about foreign language ones
and even with all that hard work im still not gonna get into my dream college cus my school is highly competitive its actually so sad
Damn, no extracurriculars to compensate?
i mean idk
i do speech and debate
and some volunteering
but idk if thatll be enough
Are you aiming for Ivy League?
kids at my school are casually landing internships and getting into summer cosmos program, rsi, and isef and stuff
nah ucsd
Is that a prestigious school
not prestigious
but its really good
great education, research programs, beautiful campus, close to home
i rly wanna get in
Unless your really good at speech and debate this extracurriculars are lacking
also its like the top school for my major
It’s not too late to sign up for a sport ig
i qualified for states
Your course rigor is definitely impressive though
Again idk how hard ucsd is since I never heard of the school
im not interested in sports 😭 and also even if i did a sport colleges dont rly care abt it unless u were rly good at it like on varsity level
wait youve never heard of it
where u at
Yeah but it’s healthy for you
oh
South Carolina
yea i try to workout like hit the gym often
I think the at counts as an extracurricular
Since it’s your hobby
nah but just mentioning that you worked out or played a sport as an actitvity wont do much to your application
they wont care abt it
Better than nothing 💀
You only got speech and debate 😭
it has to be smth you made an impact in
i like spending time with my grandparents a lot
and helping them out
my great grandma
shes rly old
Potential essay topic right there
shes like 95 i think
You could write about family values and stuff and how you apply it in everyday life for your college essay
and shes like in bed all the time right so i help take care of her, feed her, talk to her and like spend time with her bc she gets depressed and sick a lot
Or sumn along those lines
i think that counts as an activity right
Idk
But it’s definitely a good essay topic
Colleges will definitely see you put that hard work in
also i like working with children i volunteer at the library and i lead like the storytime and crafts activites for little kids
That’s an extracurricular right there
It’s good one too since your showing impact throughout your community
You can also get letters of recommendation from that library
and then im passionate abt mental health and spreading awareness and im planning on leading a mental health awareness club at my school where i provide a safe space for people to vent out about any struggles they are going through, have group discussion, coloring therapy, mindfulness/meditation and self care activities etc... this one is rly meaningful to me bc i personally struggled a lot growing up with social anxiety and making friends and putting myself out there and fitting in, at times when i was desperate all i wanted was a place for me to share out my feelings and so i wanted to create that space and potentially help others that are struggling
oh UC schools dont require letter of recs so we good 😆
like they dont take letter of recs
I don’t even know what a UC is
Since your interested in that you could get internships and job shadowing opportunities at local mental health clinics
Or you could get a part time job as a suicide hotline worker
Wait no
Is that how that works idk
there is a local hospital that many ppl volunteer at
Google it
Yeah but that’s like physical health
so it wont be anything unique
theres not a set number of ecs that are required right
Common app has 10
also quality over quantity is important
You don’t have to get do all 10 but it’s better if you do
Yeah
What is UC?
lol
Wait so what do colleges in California use?
damn…
the uc system uses this application for all 8 campuses which gives u space to fill out 20 ecs, there are 4 personal insight questions which you have to answer you choose 4 prompts out of 8 (basically the essays), and then you jsut fill out academic history, test scores, etc
That’s even worse you have 2/20 extracurriculars 😭
But 2 tho 😭
they say its better to have 1 or 2 ecs that your rly good at and super passionate about instead of a bunch
the ucs count basically anything as an extracurricular
like if you took care of ur younger siblings at home
that counts
bro does it rlly matter doing 20 that you don’t care about
Did you place at state for speech and debate
no
but ive made finals at all the local tournaments
and also i lead the team as well
i help them come up with ideas for topics and mentor and edit speeches and stuff
You should put gym as extracurricular tho fr
Show off your muscles to the college interviewer
but thats so basic
i dont rly care abt it
i just do it for exercise
im not trynna be like a hardcore champion working out building muscles or anything
But like what’s better 2 ecs ur good at or 2 ecs ur good at and 2 ecs that are meh
i have mental health club, grandparents, tutoring, mentoring young kids at library, speech and debate, coaching a science olympiad event, calligraphy club
W
So you extracurriculars aren’t that bad then
You made it sound like you had 2 💀
So you got good course rigor and extracurriculars
I think you’ll make into UC
i rly hope so bro
these are all great
especially the calligraphy and mental health clubs, don't think I've ever seen those before
^ i agree
you got this dwdw
question
i have an oppurtunity to take AP Computer Science Principles in ninth
but i would have to learn over the summer
should i use part of my summer for prep? or just take foundations and move on
bro its common sense
so i should go for it and get a free A?
1 day though.
Is that your only AP?
at that day I solved a practice test
getting 5 is not easy but passing it is piece of cake
because boundaries are so high
are you aiming for 5 or just 3+
APUSH and APCSP?
im aiming to get as many aps as i can under my belt
yea its a little reckless

i qualify but its a lot of work
reading and writing heavy
and yes apcsp might be my only ap
womp
with a 4+? or 3+
5+, trust 😭
Not the psat, prepare for the SAT
unless they're going for national merit
National merit is difficult imo
My friend got a 1400 on the psat but unfortunately wasn’t high enough for the merit
Please suggest courses which would improve my CVv and skills in the following type BBA -Branding&Advertising
Or Business Management & Entrepreneurhip
Online courses
Help
should help you make a better cvv for yourself
Just wondering, is this a good schedule for Junior year?
That's a lot of AP's....
You'll have to balance that with the college search just so you know.
And ECS.
I would probably drop one or two.
I'll probably drop AP CSA since I already took AP CSP
Also I am currently disputing on AP Chem or Physics
What's ur intended major?
If I'm going into Astrophysics is AP Chem worth driving 5 mins down to another school to take for a semester?
Along with AP Physics I and the AP Physics Cs
Either Chemistry, Spanish, or Journalism.
Huh?
No but that's crazy specific 😭
Like how do you like those three and only those three if you're undecided 😭
yeah i think it is
if it's possible sure whynot
Um guys so the college I’m planning to go to is uh, and in the required courses it states that I need ENGL 1301 and 1302. When I’m checking the ap credit policies it says that if I get a 4 on ap lang I can get credit for those 2 courses. But a score of 5 on ap lang translates to credit in ENGL 1303 and 1304. I was wondering if I would be able to get credit for 1301 and 1302 even though I somehow manage to get a 5
whats uh
Is doing DE multivari calc or linear algebra in my senior my worthwhile than doing an AP not related to my major? Major is astrophysics
University of Hawaii????
Is this a good schedule for sophomore yr
Send an email
What’s your intended major?
Do DE
I would say so, just make sure you find a side hustle for gas money. You could mow people’s lawns and stuff. Doesn’t necessarily have to be an official job.
Chem
Debating between physics cs or aerospace
Why do you need csp and stats?
Or physics 1
And is world a gen ed?
And why do you need pre calc?
For the majority of people for your major for sophomore year is, any APs that go towards gen eds. Then junior and senior year is when you start putting APs that benefit toward your major
Idk it just helps me get ahead because the year after I plan to take things like bc calc and physics c
Wdym by gen ed class
I don’t see the problem w taking things related to my major
CSP is useful because it is part of the cs pathway at my school and cs is a big part of physics and engineering
And stats is also pretty big in physics
Correct me if I’m wrong this was just what I thought
Ummmm
Should I be concerned that my local college's DE Precalc course consists of Algebra II stuff and trig?
Or is that normal and I shouldn't be freaking at 11:14 PM when I should be sleeping?
lmao
So?
Is this concerning?
Should I put my tinfoil hat on and prepare to be destroyed by AP Calc AB come next school year?
nu uh
Alr
consits of... doesnt account for all
my spelling oml
The thing that ticks me off is that we arent learning abt parameters and matrices and vectors
Well I looked over the syllabus
2 units on trig concepts
I think one is on the unit circle and solving trig equations and the other is on graph trig functions
Here is the course content per day according to syllabus
Anyone?
save ap physics or ap stats for next year
Ya I was just thinking over it I might take out stat
But is everything else good
Considering what I want to major in?
would it look better on an application to be in jazz band two years or basketball team manager three years?
what grade are u in
Just do whichever you like better, Manager is better
Participating in clubs or any other in school activity is a very low impact EC.
Being in a leadership position is a way to make it mid impact, so being a team manager would be objectively more impactful
is the apush exam really hard? and trying to balance it with a math exam
im not worried about the class being hard its just the exams
Well. I had the same ideas. I want to double major in music and computer science, so I went ahead and took AP calculus and CSP. But think about it. AP classes mimic college course rigor, they're not identical. The Calculus One class at your college is likely a tad different from your AP Calc class. Do you really want to hop in to Calc 2 in college while missing some of the things from that college's Calc one class? I know the actual courses might not line up with your situation, but you get the concept. Same with CSP. You likely took a class that would count for the intro or base class in college. But the next class in the sequence will be tailored to the people who took the course at the college, not the AP class. You can still take the classes, I took Stats and Calc and CSP this year, and I'm likely going to have to take them again in college. But they'll be an absolute breeze, plus the APs look good for course rigor.
You have a good schedule, I agree on the Stats thing. I took stats senior year and breezed through it. Me and my friend literally played video games the entire year, fairly confident in a 5 on the exam. waiting to take stats until after precalc makes it a joke of a class (which is nice to have in junior/senior year)
Nah, from what I remember it was a tad difficult but not too bad. I took it junior year, I have a good memory and a decent mind for history, walked in there with basically zero studying and got a 5. Not something to be worried about (maybe study a lil more than I did tho)
Which math exam?
nice, thanks!
ap precalculus, i heard it was easy too
That didn't exist when I took precalc, I took it honors and yeah it was pretty easy. Not sure how AP is different, but cna't imagine it would be too much harder
What classes should i take junior year? I’m a freshman rn but here are the classes i plan to take/have taken: 8th grade:
math 1
world history
spanish 1
9th:
math 2 honors
english 1 honors
biology honors
AP government and politics
spanish 2
pe
health science careers honors
sports marketing 1 honors
10th:
math 3 honors
english 2 honors
AP seminar
chemistry honors
spanish 3 honors
AP art history
AP computer science principles
sports marketing 2 honors
Probably some sort of integrated maths
What are you thinking between, what's offered at your school, what's your intended major, what type of University do u wanna go to
Hey, I'm a freshman looking to take two dual enrollment classes next fall but I can't decide between
General Psychology or a class learning to write a short story that are offered at one university
And
Intro to Ethics or Critical thinking offered at another university
Does anyone have any advice? They all seem fun but I want to make the right decision.
Depends on your major. TBH, I would probably take Psychology.
I need help. I’m starting secondary soon and i have no clue what to pick - but i can say i like math
It depends on your major
Gen Psych is the only one I've taken. It's so easy most people could pass that class with their eyes closed
I see
Psychology is offered for the spring as well
I'm more conflicted on taking Critical thinking versus Intro to Ethics
Join a bunch of clubs and find what interest you the most
For example if you like deca or fbla, you might want to major in business and take business related classes.
Or if you like hosa, than you’ll probably want major in one of the pre-med majors and take classes like health, bio, or chem
Since you like math, I would look into extracurriculars related engineering, physics, or finance
But explore stuff outside of math too
I believe it’s the hardest history class
is this a good schedule for sophmore year:
classes already taken from ms/9th: algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, biology, chemistry, english 1, english 2, spanish 1, spanish 2, pe
classes im thinking for sophomore yr: pre calc, spanish 3, marine science, ap psych, ap csp, ap lang
Guys anywhere i can take precalc over the summer online and get credit? My school isnt helping here
use your state online school
example florida has flvs
chat is this a good schedule (im intending to major in the business section of things like or like accounting or finance or economics and the (ap)ush means im still debating on apush or not)
I’d do apush if I were u
is there any benefits to apush tho
cus the class at my school is really hard and apush itself is also hard
the fact that it's hard is a benefit
it shows that you have the capacity to take one of the hardest and most notorious APs
alr
good morning 😎
Morning?
can you just not take ss in ur first year in your school
If it's hard at your school, AOs won't know that, so it's probably not worth it
You do need to take us history but considering extracurriculars, it might be more valuable to just focus more time on ECs and take other APs with less course load
The college wont know if its hard or not so i dont think its worth it
When it comes to WGPA (and only wgpa), No. of APs > the apparent difficulty of any one, AOs don't know about how APs were at your school when you took them
For ECs it's the opposite, but that's why the better ECs are ones that AOs know the difficulty of/ are easy to describe the difficulty of
Hey btw do you still want volunteers for your non-profit?
Oh yeah I saw your DM mb I forgot to respond, I'll do that now
Its ok thx : )
Ask ur question here again
Oh ok
I wonder if there is a chat that can show me a list to get for next year and for college:3!
You could have micro and macro as AP’s, and maybe even statistics (if you can), but overall, that looks really good!
i alr have stats
but are they good stats
AP stats is being talked about here 🤔
So no, not good stats
Ooooh
Is astronomy a good major given that I am good at science and pretty interested in that but Im also quite interested in playing soccer/football and I dont want to let that die out also I kinda also want to make money and have a good work life balance not be having white hairs at 30. I live in india I also kinda wanna study abroad and settle cuz of personal reasons
Honestly, no way you can keep into soccer in India unless you go to a real real good college that actually has club system
Astronomy can be great if you really like it that much
That is one of thr reasons why I don't want to be in this shirry country 😭
I want to study abroad wbt
BRO SAY SMTH 😭
@cinder gorge
guya I need help choosing my major
Where tho
Im thinking of germany n stuff
Will i be able to handle both my astronomy and football interest there
Sat is for usa and canada I guess
Nah 💀🤚
guys if I wanna be a cyclist should I study in europe or usa?
...
Just study wherever you want and pick a sports club
but Im not sure about the major
Idk bout Germany bro, look up some college entrance exams
Physical education
Im scared tho like both astronomy and football go together 😭
nah
Can they both go together
CS is also great
but what about AI Azlat?
Thatz good too
Good too
no I mean if I go with CP in the near future AI could take away my job
sorry CS
I meant computer programming sorry
Devin is already here
Also abt to grow
BROTHER ANSWER ME
Ai engineering is the only good option in IT branch
CAN FOOTBALL AND ASTRONOMY GO TOGETHER TELL ME 😭😭😭😭😭
exactly
PLEASE
come down yes they can
I have no idea on that
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Yea but ppl say astronomy is hard n stuff
That's what I told him
you are overreacting
Nothing is hard
MED is certainly harder to balance
Tru tho
Enter JEE
lol
Nah that thing is worse 😰
guys but really if I want to make money what major should I go with
Same thats where every india has to go fr
JEE is tough
Sat is always an option but my mom is telling me to just try once so ya
bro sat is easy for yu
Tough is not the correct word, it's just hard
Hella ez
guys answer me
Sat top is equal to JEE fail
Money? Just put everything you got in your major
I'm also just trying my luck
I'm not serious on its prep
I dont know the major. The thing that is making my choice so hard is AI
Just work with AI
Then ur wasting money hon 🤚
India has 1billion + ppl
which major should I choose for that?
Most of them are dead serious 💀🤚
U need to have atleast sm lvl of seriousness cuz luck dies in jee 💀
Nah I picked the most money efficient option, also no way I'm getting my mum to believe that JEE is not a good option for me, she just wants me in an Indian college and then work outside, I know it's not the most effective so I'm gonna give JEE and then instantly give SAT
Software engineering and AI field in that
bro the thing is you gotta see the question, understand the question, and solve the question. Do it with every question and thats it
Nah, most of them are like me, 1.5million go each year, still only 10k get into IIT
have you watched the nvidia guy?
Yes
I'm taking AI as well
I was going for CS but then saw devin
Now going for ai
but AI will replace software engineering and also CS
That's why we go for ai
We work with it
Making it impossible for it to replace us
AI is a branch of CS
should i still try and get into performing arts colleges even though I dont really have any experience?
I do have interest and passion when it comes to it
I basically practice on my own everyday but ive never had any professional training or took part in EC
related to it
if i dont end up getting in any ill just look into another major but im not particularly interested in anything else as much
what have you explored?
is it a good idea to test out of pre calculus honors?
In most cases, yes
If I test out I won’t fail calc bc right??
hey guys
I need to skip english 2 and precal this year
I can skip precal using cbe
but I need like a free course that gives hs credit
for english 2
im sure there is a ton
but i just dont know
I need to do this so I can take 7 aps next year as a sophomore
So pls pls pls help me
i truly appreciate your help in advance
TYSM
<3
Do a dual enrollment
Sorry I forgot to mention
Like paid options r plentiful
I’m looking for free options
I don’t
But my credit only applies to community colleges
Bruh
yeah i need a hs credit
ikr
the system's a scam here
and i'll just end up being a broke college grad with thousands of dollars of debt
or ill have to join the military ig
try your states virtual school
thoughts or advice on ap sem, precalc, and bio sophomore year?
Dude how you gonna stay active with your extracurriculars and social life 😭
Ok but this is important though bro
Pls let me know
if u know places that give hs credit
for free
cause I truly need it bro
I need a better school rank pls
I dont want to get disowned bro
ik
but do u know any free courses online
that gives free hs credit
🙏
That’s a guidance counselor question
Also state curriculums range from state to state so a program like that most likely doesn’t exist
😭
W courses or nah?
Bro idk any at all do u know any from texas
pls help me brother
Does your state not have an online school?
Why are you taking AB and BC at the same time?
AB first sem, BC second sem
not that ik of
Oh
Go ask your guidance counselor
bro she doesn't know anything plus my school is too poor to have a counselor for guidance
just general counselor
💀
😭
i searched it up and found this
Pls help me brother, I really don't want to disappoint my ancestors + get disowned
I need a higher school rank bro
Pls i can't afford outside housing rn 😭
Sounds like it
School rank is overrated
Shouldn’t be top priority
is it the same ??
it says credit recovery though
would that work if im tryna get ahead
Idk send an email
school rank should come naturally as u work with rigiour
Yeah but not getting disowned is a top priority
Literally or figuratively?
u dont have to focus on school rank to have a high one, just do hard classes and APs
literally bro
Listen to this guy
not at my school bro u need to try
if ur gpa is under 4 then forget rank and focus on other stuff
yes U can try in CLASSES by getting good GRADES and doing HARD COURRSES
no, at my school they take off .1 from your gpa for each number below 100
THen get 100s
so the only way to gget maximum gpa is by getting all 100
and the valedictorian has a 100 average
:/
It’s called a 5.0 scale
do u have letter grades
Yeah but i need ap courses for extra
no
Colleges will readjust the gpa
gpa is not everything so a gpa less than 4 could work, im only saying this assuming great ecs, great aps, and great ps
yeah but i need a good rankign too bro
the school gpa determines ranking
Buddy you don’t need 7 APs unless your gpa is in the gutter
my ranking is super bad rn
What is your gpa
bro it is in the gutter
re-read my msg, if ur GPA is under 4 dont focus on rank cuz ur already screwd.
im a full .08 behind top 1 dude
that's horrible
😭
i need ap courses to even have a chance at catching up
im 2nd also
You have a 0.8 gpa???
but im gonna catch up soon
no im .08 behind top 1
Im adding on to what ur saying
💀
every semester long ap or college class adds .02
what?? i need hs credit bro
Ain’t no way bro complaining about second place
oh mb
so i can take 7 aps as a sophomore
no my school is competitive bro my ranking is 4/613
not second dude
😭
That’s still good
You ain’t gonna be perfect at everything, that’s how life is
Nah I'd win
Email the program you just showed me
alright there's 8 of them
yea then win and stop complaining, start doing more aps and sweating school
thanks brother
fr
Send 8 emails
yeah
do more aps but dont do easy APs thats for wimps
do aps related to what u want to do in life
This right here
I hate it when people just take APs just cuz
ap chem, ap physics, ap calc bc, ap lang, ap bio, ap stats, ap world hist
those 7
should be easy i think
im doing plenty of aps but every singgle one is related to what i want to do when i grow up
No social life is crazy
im not doing ap human geo bs or ap art
W
i mean my nonprofit, business, and other stuff is growing pretty well and I think i can manage it during the year
