i guess it doesnt matter though because every school recalcs wgpa?
yeah, but that only matters for your class rank doesnt it, the colleges that weight honors will re calc your gpa
honors still looks good on your transcript compared to normal
yeah
Wait if I do all honors English (1,2,3,4) but then end up doing AP lit and lang are they still considered separately or do they not
Yea
I guess so for the classes, cause I had orientation today and they said I still had to do two years of English
they'd still be a part of your gpa wouldnt they
Yeah that’s true
does your school not count lit and lang as english ??
that's so dumb
here u can take them in place of an honors/cp eng course
right
They do but my issue is that I finished 2,3,4 this year and I still have to do English courses for junior and senior, but idk if they would just be unconsidered since my new hs wanted me to still do English
unless ur talking about spanish lit and lang
i dont understand
Naur but I do gotta do Spanish I think
you moved schools?
Yea
wait what u finished 4 years of english?
Yeah that’s the issue
yeah how'd you do that
how ??
loaded up on english
Is it worth taking AP Physics BC if it's only offered as self-study?
Why
if it goes on your transcript then yeah
I switched to online school to finish all my classes so I can take all AP and dual for junior and senior
they wouldnt delete classes from your transcript, so colleges would see everything you have taken
And then next year I’m going to in person school
YAYYYY OK AWESOME
you can ask for a copy of your transcript from your school to check for yourself
if ur hs accepts the credits then they accept the credits
so they will be on your online school's transcript
Hallelujah I love you, you little chinchilla
:)
Idk I just get worried
HoooRAYY
I LOVE YOU TOO LUKE
AND EVERYONE WHO HELPED
Wait can I ask another question
hmm one second
Does it matter what classes u take per year or just in total
Like if freshman I did like not as rigorous classes
But then did much more rigorous stuff ig
in total
I have to sneeze
total
Ok awesome awesome
Also do they consider the time frame in which u completed courses
the classes you take closer to when you graduate are more important
like accelerated courses?
If like if u do AP calc bc in junior (not that I am but)
Like as a reference
they see when you took which classes
well afaik if u take ap calc bc in freshman year they would still consider it similarly to you just having took it
But yeah they see it
ok maube not freshman year
Freshman year would be crazy
But good crazy
well they definetely wouldn't be mad if you only submit one math grade and its calc bc
LMFAO Real
Should I take ap gov my senior year even if i'm trying to major in comp sci, how much better would that look in comparission to just take normal history and 2 other ap's
hi! for me, i was required to take the class as a part of graduation requirements and it was a one-semester class. i’d say take it as long as it’s not replacing other important courses.
Do colleges care if you take your own native language?
If you're taking it instead of 2 other APs, don't, it doesn't look any better than any other ap
Hi I wanna take law in Germany but I don’t know what a levels to take
Can anyone help
HUH
WTF
??
Who takes AP calc bc freshman year:..
ever heard of the word hypothetical
Yes
Im currently in precalc rn but instead of taking calculated AB next year I want to take BC. Im planning on studying through khan academy over the summer so im prepped for it. Should I do the AB course or BC course on khan academy
BC generally includes all AB topics, you don't need to take AB
Right but its much faster no?
Huh?
BC cover AB pretty fast
Of course, they don't take the whole year for it, but like I would probably not worry about it being too quick to understand
(Unless like your teacher which teaches it doesn't cover it in depth or smth or expects you to know it in your school(
would that mean all ap ??
the difference from AB and BC is that BC adds 6 new lessons to existing lessons, which are
- 6.11 integration by parts
- 6.12 integration by partial fractions
- 6.13 improper integrals
- 7.5 euler's method
- 7.9 logistic models
- 8.13 arc lengths
as well as 2 extra units, which are
- unit 9: parametric equation, polar coordinates, and vector-valued functions
- unit 10: infinite sequences and series
other than the difference, the content from AB and BC are practically the same, so if you are up for a challenge, take bc
Not necessarily
that only works if you dont have time consuming ECs
What are some productive and helpful things a high school freshman should do during the summer? I was thinking maybe volunteer, etc. Also, I am taking harder classes next year (2 APs, Chem honors, Alg 2 Honors), should I get prep books during the summer and use those to prepare for the classes beforehand?
chem honors over the summer?
No, sophomore year
Earth Science Honors, I already took Biology
Because my school requires chem as a prereq
you'll jump directly into pre calc
ah
take that over the summer too

awh
I think ill just do other ECs over the summer, Im not looking into taking any classes
Maybe get a job, intern or something
Set up a youtube channel 🤷♂️
think about it
how many kids around your age are going to do that?
the majority
so do something that separates you from the others
Actually its pretty common for kids to take a science or math over the summer here
be the 1%
But I get your point
I meant more
more!
MORE science and math

i mean tbh no becuase counselor reccs have a place where they indicate whether you've taken maximum rigor offered at your school or not
anything that's the max- like, the best your school can offer (you can't take any more advanced classes)
for some people that may be all aps
for others it may be like 2 or 3 an year
it depends on the school
Should I take ap bio in junior year before ap chem or the other way around
the uni im trying to go too requires only one physics and one chem so should I only take it grade 11 or does taking chem and physics help with my application if I took it grade 11 and 12
uhh, what classes were you planning on take instead of physics and chem in 12th?
bio?
Everyone, okay what are your opinion on ap research? For context, I need to still finish ap seminar this year but going into junior year I would be taking ap research. My school requires you take ap stats along side ap research . I would taking that mixed with cal AB, physics CM, and ap psychology. I feel like I’m over loaded with this schedule
It’s not finalized so I have time to change it
the problem with maximum rigor is you cant actually pursue interests like picking a relevant elective over an irrelevant AP. and if you have ECs resulting in you getting home 7:40 PM, you cant take on every AP
if to get in a college i need to shape my life around it then its not worth it
personally im not doing AP Env Sci sophomore year because my school percussion ensemble is doing competition that year, and if i do percussion ensemble i cant do AP Env sci. it would be a massive mistake to do AP Env Sci that year and I guarantee I would regret it
Yeah honestly, my brother is in apes. All he does it study and take notes, it’s a time consuming class that isn’t hard but it will test your patience
His words not mine tho
is AP Psychology harder than people say it is? my teachers said that you have to know a lot of vocab, but is it like really difficult?
same
im only taking AP stats next year
because thats the only thing my high school offers
wbu
i didnt
i only did math 3
and im skipping precalc
it says on ur description
because my school isnt offering precalc
oh
what's that
algebra 2 trignometry
wow
no
i just studied hard in between 7th and 8th grade
and my grades went up high
so i started taking higher classes
thats a good idea
yeah
im taking civics literacy
for SS
and AP stats for math
honors english 1
and honors bio and honors earth env science
but ill prob do those over summer
and im taking biomedical science and french 1 as my other electives
i wanted to do AP CSP
ah
but i felt that i could do AP psychology and AP CSP in 10th grade
and i wanted to take biomedical sciences very badly
no
actually i think it is math 2
or algebra 2
ok
alg 2 8th is crazy
no
we're on geo rn in 8th
some people jump even furhter
yea, but it is still crazy
im doing math 3
Psych is hilariously ez I’m taking it online as in a half semester and have a 96
whatever that converts to

🫡
because for us we have math 1=algebra 1, math 2= geometry, and math 3= algebra 2
and then precalculus
damn
oh yeah i heard there was a lot of essays
not like really good
but i can write a decent essay
ok
you can probably learn how to write better essays as well, which is a nifty skill
how do you apply to become an algebra helper in this server
are you taking anything along with it?
im not planning on taking it
i was wondering about it because i have a chance to change my classes
o
ok so your school's structured differently, our thing doesn't have ec vs class conflicts
depends from person to person imho
but for most people yes
no percussion ensemble is a class
its like band
but percussion
yeah it isn't the same for us
we have perc ens
i'm a percussionist
but it isn't a class
It is better to take classes relevant to you than rando APs not relevant for the sake of maximum rigor
thats exactly how you prioritize a college over your own life
most "classes relevant to you" suck in high school though
like my school offers an "entrepreneurship" elective
i want to go into business yes
but high school electives for the majority of high schools are not good
and don't teach you much about the actual...like... topic, at least from my experience
at least i can benefit from the ap by getting college credits, cutting down time i spend in college + getting a gpa boost
well then its just school to school variant
yeah exactly
bruh
does anybody know if two ap's is enough for junior year
Im planning on taking ap calc bc and ap bio next year along with all other honors level courses
huh?
yea, if those interest you
just do good in them, which im sure you'll be able too
a find math and bio v interesting, so yes!
my main concern is if i need to take more?
it should be fine
tyty
is taking max rigor (all APs) while maintaining leadership positions and ECs like. possible
you just want to take something that will challenge you and interest you
i mean
leadership in what?
leadership positions like clubs or student council
depends how difficult ur school classes are
also how much time u take for homework and studying
and how much time ur ec's take each day
i would say probably not, but it depends on the person
what grade r u going into next year?
9th
^agreed
im just err. planning
9th all aps?

1 ap
oh help my school didnt even offer any ap's for 9th
just take like 1, maybe 2
head in hands
r u okay?
yeah its just. how do u people MANAGE THIS
pretty sure thats an old saying
no life
manage taking all ap'
head in hands is an expression thats like. exhaustion or frustration
well most people dont take all ap
dang i should start planning too lmao
but by working rlly hard and stressing alot
this middle school graduation be comin fast
all i want is a good research uni ❤️
same!!
neuroscience ❤️ research scientist ❤️ 💞
oh
ur in 8th grade rn dong sweat it too much
i know but everybody online like. start planning NOW if you want t20. NOW!!! OUT THE WOMB!!!!
i dont have much to mess up freshman year
it's mainly just grades
never been a problem before
I believe university of rochester is pretty good
my freshman year i took max rigor (all honors) and got all A's/A+
u will be okay ❤️
dang
im not worried about all As its just. good lord idk what to do abt the EC situation
but it wasnt ap classes tho
be unique guys❤️❤️❤️
and now that im doing ap im lowkey struggling
your majoring in neuro?
sounds like a good mix!
thats the plan
doing music as a class is also super fun
chorous is always fun
yeah ive done it 7th and 8th
which EC's r u doing
its also important to do things ur passionate abt not just a bunch of clubs
thats the issue
oh
im trying to find a couple things i like
what do u like to do for fun?
i think for neuro you got science fair, maybe some comp with neuro, research project, neuro club or bio club??
i dont know </3
neuro is an interesting one
🤨
if i convince myself i like it then its ok
i established strong ECs in middle school, so my advice is go back in time
yeahhh im in a comp rn
yea u might change, which is fine
maybe try math/science olympiad
i do both
very fun and you learn alot ❤️
research comp
DIE

what kind of ecs?
i have transportation to 0
like awards?
yeah u guys right
i thought colleges don't care bout ms ecs
we dont have neuro or bio club atp i might hop on and start one
unless they're extremely good
same i agree
i started my 2 main ecs (piano and dance) in pre school 💀
ive just been doing them ever since
you'll use the stuff you do in highschool not middle school
i dont have rides to anything
-Regionally competitive percussion (NYSSMA)
-FLL which becomes FRC in high school (competitive robotics)
-cross country + track and field
-clubs i havent figured out yet
im in my superintendants advisory council but nobody cares
yes!
so try to go for things like comps and awards in high school
in middle school?
yes
aji when'd you graduate?
ill look around for comp stuff i guess
continue doing those maybe try some new things
continue doing music ❤️
graduate what
hs
no im just asking
im in 8th
WIP
dang
NYSSMA continues through HS you can qualify for county, region and state bands, and beyond (i have the talent to do so)
robotics my school is a particularly good program that goes to state-national comp
XC/track its not huge but sport is gud
we love sports
college is a scam im running away to france
then my school has more HS clubs im not sure what i will do for dat but ima try a few
oh then it's fine, i didn't think they would carry over
je ne fairs pas ce
nah nah i literally love it
tu parles francais?
oui je parles francais
i would love to be IN college i do not want to APPLY to college
real
french 1
filling out an application is cool
same
ayyy
don't yall have to do like 10 essays
applying to colleges suck but for the most part you can copy paste essays
je deteste ce langue shitty
BLESS i am just
err
stressed abt classes and such
but it all works out in the end
applying for scholarships is WAY more teidious than applying to colleges tbh
follow my passions am i right
my hs has emo club ill hop on
kidding....................
idk… i think you write 1 essay with a theme each year - educated guess
idk?
oop i thought you graduated high school
wrong guy

confidence ❤️
i mean i've already done all that
if you have any questions i can try to answer them from my experience
Are ap computer sciences useful if I want to go into bio or environmental engineering
Would only ap csp be good enough
nah u would prob need to go further
alr thanks
bro finished calc 2 by 8th grade but hasnt discovered google yet
medical science
like pills n stuff
bro im just like that
i meant like specifically
like specific examples?
basically biology class with an emphasis on the human body and stuff
ok
pretty similar to normal bio, but you go a bit deeper into the human side of the concepts you learn about
ohhh ok
i thought it was more towards like diseases and stuff
you do cover a lot of that too
have you taken it
i did a class called biomedical science and technology for two years
as well as normal bio
ok
yeah
but then got more in depth with how the processes work, and what happens when things go wrong, and the diseases involved
ok
would recommend if youre thinking of going into health
yeah that's why i was considering it
in my class, we had a tonn of hands on lab work, so i got a ton of practice with labratory techniques and such, if yk your program would also have that, its even more reason to do it
yeah
cause im going to an IB school
so i think they will have it
nice
yall feeling my sophomore schedule?
AP Lang, Geo - H (1 Semester), Alg II-H (1 semester), Bio-H, Chem-H, Wellness (counts as 5.0 class, its college class), AP Spanish Language, and AP Pre-calc (might be cancelled, low enrollment, then i'd take comp sci principles)
how r u doing geometry, algebra 2, and pre calc all in the same year
AP pre calc has no required pre req
it needs alg 2?
geo and alg II can be taken in 1 semester by online programs
not online
ah
fair warning i wouldnt take ap pre calc until you are very comfortable with algebra 2
yeah
i've been self studying
pre calc is mainly a bunch of alg2 review
so true!
probably gonna get into comp sci principles but at least I can take BC senior year
it has some new concepts but the same general ideas for alot of the topics
yeah
if youre taking pre calc sophmore year why cant u take bc junior
theres ALOT of new trig stuff tho
yes
thats what im doing
course might get canceled cuz i'm the only one enrolled at our school
ohh
oh 😭
and its like 300$ for me personally if I want to take it
help
but on the bright side, i'd have a 4.75 gpa
wow!
for sophomore year
no
ye ik that
i've seen the AP euro kids
half of them are developing wrinkles from their workload
LMFAO
ap chem?
its one of the HARDEST APS
ap euro i mean
see u can say this abt every single ap dude
i know
it makes me feel better
im talking to jimmy 😭
lol you good
no?
no its not?
these aps wont know WHAT HIT EM 💪 🔥
i will either eat up the aps or they will eat me up
ok
(please not the latter)
you're cooked
and what the fk is ap coordinator
nah french is easy
basically my counselor
ah
this is somewhat free
did u take any
except physics
"somewhat free"
you're cooked

yeah phsysics at my school is notorious
shut up bro with ur somewhat free ahh 💀
tyty 🙏
🥱
🤡

should i take AP comp sci principals first or AP comp sci a
apcsa over apcsp
apcsa you are actually learning how to code with java
while apcsp you learn some other stuff like how computers work and using pseudocodes to answer questions
top colleges wants you to take apcsa if you want to major in cs
but i dont think they accept apcsp
fix the fact that i was missing 2 lessons lol
Should I take IELTS or TOEFL as an international student?
thats actually really funny
and lowk super worth it if you can afford it comfortably
Do I need to take high school physics before taking AP physics C?
depends, but it is always good to have prerequisite knowledge before entering physics C
the only real prerequisite is taken or current taking in a calculus course
Would the class be almost impossible with out previous physics experience?
nope
it's still possible without previous physics knowledge
just you gotta study a bit harder imo
im currently taking ap physics 1
and planning to take ap physics C next year
so physics C would be a bit easier
it's just all of the physics i learned
plus the calculus part
Thanks for the advice
yw lol
if u really dont want to take another physics course before physics C
there's always dual enrollment
check with ur counselors then
im taking it for fun im planning to study law
I need to make a choice between Maths A (stats) and Maths B (exact?). I want to do Maths B cause I maybe want to study Chemistry but don't know if I can handle it. Do you guys know how I can figure this out?
what classes did everyone take freshman year
im going to freshmen year and taking honors everything possible and world geo honors over summer and dance, debate, theatre, spanish
everything honors
so are you takiing alg. 2
quite a few students are taking algebra 2 in freshman now to my knowledge (though im not from the us)
im taking geo but a lot of my friends tested out of like 6th grade math so there taking alg 2
Whats easier alg 2 or geometry honors?
Regular algebra 2 or what
Geometry honors
Depends on the person
Do I choose physics over chemistry
Yup

i’d take chemistry over physics any day 😭

Will APUSH be better then Ap euro history, I was thinking about ap euro because the teacher I had was really good and I passed the exam easily and he is teaching ap euro.
@vestal nimbus
Is US history a graduation requirement?
if not then I’ll say to go for AP Euro
Nah cuz I’m taking IB dp but also do colleges take APUSH to get in or what
some states require USH students as a class to take before graduating
Kinda like 4 maths
You don’t need APUSH to get into colleges lol
Definitely check to see if it’s a required class tho (USH in general, not APUSH)
is OnRamps chemistry 1&lab hard?
If my school doesn’t offer AP chem class but offers DE chem instead, should I take DE chem and take the AP chem exam. I want to take the AP chem exam just in case I decide to go out of state
I was wondering if course material for dual enrollment is similar to college board standards
I want to go somewhere in the green science area like biology or environment in my future, are these good courses: ap bio, ap microeconomics, ap Environmental science, pre calc honors, languge arts 3 honors, German 4 honors
I wanna minor in finance or business
good to me
ap bio and apes might be a little stressful
so you might wanna drop german or something idk
Do stats and clac BC go together well??
im going to be a freshman this year and in my school there is this thing called fine arts and i need to do it for 1.5 years my school is an ib league. What should I do?
is taking pre-calculus + stats + physics next year for sophmore year too much?
i already took bio and geometry, and currently passing chem and alg 2 with 98's rn in freshman year
look at options we have no idea otherwise
Im very conflicted because Im going into my sophomore year and I’m not sure if I should take Honors Chemistry or AP world. Ive been good at history this year, but I’ve heard AP world is a lot of reading which seems time consuming and I don’t have too much time in the day. And I’ve been getting good grades in bio this year but it’s pretty difficult for me so I’m worried about if I would struggle too much if I took Honors Chem. Any suggestions or tips?
what classes did everyone take their freshman year of h.s
heres what I will do, havent done freshman yr tho
priv catholic school btw so theres theology
💀
anyone in bc know if contemporary indigenous studies 12 count for indigenous focused requirement and a socials 11/12 course?
theres an indigenous focused requirement now but im not sure if the course can count for both
giving 8 credits on completion
💪
Im in my freshman year rn and I’ve been taking. Geo, honors bio, comsci, English, History, and Spanish 1. Along with a dance class
All aps?
in in my freshman year rn im taking: english 9 hrs, dual credit graphic production, entrepreneurship, physics hrs, alg 2 hrs, AP CSP, and spanish 3 hrs
my school's a magnet school meaning that we don't really get much choice in our schedules ):
no my school doesn't offer aps, its like all ib school
i live in usa but to take aps at my school you have to study out of school
iirc its all pre-ib's and then i start ib year 1 in 11th with all courses
I’m taking AP world rn and it is a lot of reading but you just gotta utilize time in classes and some at home, but if you have a bad teacher then it will make it 10x harder cause some just give busy work but ask other people who took it and see what the good teachers are.
Same with us but we can pick ap classes with the Ib classes as electives
what country u in?
Alright, thank your for the information and tips 😊
k thx
wise to take DE mandarin 3 and DE physics honors for sophomore year? I'm going to seton hall. Also, is ap economics easy or hard? Only bc i'm think about that for DE since im planning to be a business major
What's DE
dual enrollment
Dam
alright im a pretty tight situation rn and i need help asap
Im doing my AS levels rn about to finish my exams and start my A levels in march, i had my computer science exams in october-november 2023 and i got my results in january in which i got an E so im gonna have to rewrite computer science in oct-nov of this year, now heres where im stuck. so for me i was in this board called ICSE back in 10th grade and in ICSE you have to choose what subjects you wanna take from a young age itself. Now i took computer sciences, science and math cuz eveyrone else took it and i just went with the crowd and took it and i never really found computer sciences interesting and since im in india i was kinda pressured into taking it. my parents kept saying youre just learning the basics of it rn thats why youre not finding it interesting but im in 11th now and i still find not a sinlge thing appealing about it.
i still havent found my passion i still dont know what i wanna do in life which is pretty dissapointing i know but i dont know what i like. now since i havent been exposed to economics, accounancy or business. Since i havent found my passion i was thinking i could drop CS and take up Business along with physics chemistry and maths.
Again this is where a doubt arises for me.
- if i continue with CS ill have to write both my AS levels and A levels this year october, but as i said i dont like the subject and dont see myself being too happy taking computer science in the future.
2.if i take Business ill have to write my AS levels and A levels next year feb-march, since this will be my first time taking business will it be too challenging cuz i have no prior knowledge in this subject. And im gonna be writing both AS and A levels the same time next year which is doing a 2 year course in 1
i still dont know what i wanna be in the future so i was figuring maybe what if i really like business studies and i can pursue that
but again as i said 2 years course in 1 year which is challenging and i have no prior knowledge
so its quite a gamble i must say
someone please guide me🙏
doing business composite is too much of a gamble
you're already done w AS compsci you just need to get better at it
learning a full a level in one year is too much
well it's doable but if ur struggling with compsci already i wouldnt recommend it
thing is i dont find computer science interesting even if im ready to get better at it i dont see me taking it as a major in the future
and like i said
i havent figured out what i wanna do
so its pretty tuff
and im writing the SAT in june
is it worth learning a whole-ass a level in one year
that’s all fine
the SAT is easy not an issue
but like business is not an easy a level
especially with learning to write the long-form answer style
hmmm yea
trading what is ideally a scoring subject (all you have to do is learn the theory and there is no emphasis on answer style, at least for paper 1 and 3) for a much more essay-based subject is counterintuitive
usually I tell people to do the subjects they like… but that’s at the start of IGCSEs/AS
rn you’re sort of in too deep
yeah im pretty late rn so
yep
Just give AS computer science in may/june?
retake?
does your school not do may/june
my centre in India doesnt have it this year they removed it
which state
Gujarat
so like youre saying i should probably continue with cs
I’m recommending you either drop CS or do CS, but don’t take another new a level
what other a levels are you doing
maths physics and chem
ah nice
same as me then
except im also doing further maths and English gen paper
good luck for phy and chem MCQ next week
yeah i mean english too yeah same
not further maths
ah fair
yeah thanks lol
is business like manageable in general tho
cuz see im a fast learner and im ready to put in the work
my friends that do it say it’s like decent
not too hard not too easy
I didn’t do business in IGCSEs or a levels so like idk
ohh aight
damn
fr
see lmao i can study the sub and get an A this year i have no problem but like i dont really feel like studying cs, and i know its a high paying sector so i woudlnt drop it its not that i find it difficult its just that i have like 0 interest to go into that sector lmao. so i wouldnt drop the subject as a whole but i was thinking i would wanna take business and what if i may like it thats whats going in my head rn
cs i jsut find it annoying if you know what i mean, like maths and science i can still do i enjoy studying those subs but cs nah not rlly
as I said drop CS if you want to if you’re that decided no point
Like I got rid of a level bio midway through my AS year coz I knew I just hated it
but yeah if you’re confident about business do it ig
Us
is onramps chem1 & lab hard
Good?
How does this look to you all for freshman year? Mostly finalized, I have a few weeks left to make final changes.
No APs availible for us btw, that starts from Sophomore year
That looks good for a freshman year app
we cant choose ur courses its ur own interest 💀
@full shore should I do ap seminar or lang next year
Ap research is hard and ap world is also hard
I’m not sure about ap environmental since I’ll take it next year
I am currently doing AP research it’s quiet hard
?poll which English class should I do next year “AP seminar” “AP Lang”
1️⃣ AP seminar
2️⃣ AP Lang
Poll created.
Idk whether to take english honors or not. Opinions? This would be my courseload if i did: (10th grade)
Biology AP
Algebra II H
Spanish Intermediate II H
US History II H
English II H
+band and AP Biology Lab
Assuming your class of 2027 you still have a lot of time to take an honors English class do it later
Since your doing ap bio it’s gonna be time consuming
APUSH is much harder than APES but it will prepare u better for the road ahead (my sister took both)
True
is this a good hs plan
my school only allows 1 AP for Freshman and Sophomore
also Aviation is 3 years total and medical is 2 years total
6 aps in senior year dam
is self studying ap spanish lang easy? im tryna get a 4 or 5 on it
lol but do you think it is good or do you have any other suggestions
what are you planning to major?
neuroscience, experimental psychology, biology, or bioengineering
if i may ask, what is the aviation course for your school?
wdym?
basically the hs has flight simulators and they teach you how to fly ig
is that not jrotc also ?
hold on wrong channel LOL
ah i see
what other electives do u have?
engineering, business, video production, education, animation, computer science, graphic design, law, photography, and public safety
if you are good at spanish i guess it is doable ( one of my cousins didn’t take the class and got a 5)
from your major and the electives you have, i personally recommend taking computer science
ok
what is your reasoning though?
and from major, why not medical
also aviation is just a hobby and not really a career path
I am currently in spanish 2 but im not gonna do ap spanish or spanish 3
but I still wanna study for the exam since i want to opt out in college
do you think it is doable
potentially
ok if i have one year to prep from now
since im gonna take the exam at the end of sophomore year
will that be enough since i will have to learn lots of vocab too
and also can you recommend me the prep book your cousin used if he used one
so your in freshmen rn?
yeah
ok lemme try messaging my cousin
alright thanks!!!
ok so he messaged and he used princeton and barrons ap spanish review books and he said that they are similar except the fact that princeton’s is more expensive but it includes online resources
lemme see
princeton might be better right?
prolly
alright
ok so he said that barrons overprepares u and he said that overall he recommends barrons
alright
for math and sciences he preferred princeton
ok
so im probably gonna get barrons to self study
but for english and history and languages he preferred barrons
yeah that would be good
thank you
I don’t know yet as I am going to hs next year 🙂
I really appreciate your help
you will be fine
np
high school isnt bad

Why does micro or macro economics depend on the teacher if he teaches well or not?
they don't offer ap physics at your school?
oh wait my school doesn’t offer AP chem they only offer AP Physics
well change that part lol
I don’t know but i have a question to everyone: does your school offer ap macro, micro or both
my school offers macro only which kinda sucks cause I personally enjoy micro more
im taking ap seminar for sm year and its the first year my hs is offering it but they dont currently have an ap research
if they dont add ap research next year would i still be able to take the course some other way to get the capstone diploma?
technically you can self study and just take the test
Yeah mine only offers macro too what are the differences between micro or macro
is it worth going for the aice diploma
i wanna get my aice diploma and do a cna program
i dont really know if aice diplomas are good out of florida
💔
Lang for sure
Kinda stuck on what to pick for social studies
But I think ap lit ap env and ap euro are good
Cuz I’m doing apush ap research and ap lang rn
Most concerned about the social studies and math section if anyone is able to help
these are the classes i’m taking junior year, is this looking okay? also it’s all higher level classes.
IB DP Biology 1
IB DP Physics 1
IB DP Math Analysis
IB DP Lang/Lit 1
IB DP German 2
IB DP Psychology 1

is anyone doing apex learning? especilly in spanish cause I want to do it but idk if its a good idea pls lmk if u are tyyy
Mythpat
hello, im a commerce students in 12th grade and looking for guidance for college courses
is AP CSA hard? (I have no experience in coding)
macro is more global and includes things like gdp and gdp per capita while micro is more small scale and has things like supply and demand
two science related classes?
Is it true that freshmen and sophomore year have the major impact on GPA, while junior/senior yr not so much?
i am not sure but it wouldn’t make sense if it were that way
but I do know that senior matters the least because your college apps are already sent
prob if you have 0 experience
take an introductory cs course
its cumulative
usually in my school though, rank is dependent mainly on jr and sr year
Dam
Hey guys, how owrth it is Anatomy and phys for possibly medicine related careers. Thinking about it for sophomore year. I cannot decide between AP research and Hon Anatomy and phys
Rather macro
Guys what do we think about ap research?
All opinions are welcome
I need all perspectives and idea to build a full view
Idk
It’s how my school orients it
Dude what is this your so goofy
Not clicking that
Is that even allowed
I am taking apcsp rn (98 grade)
and I have APCSA next sem
Will I be fine?
Idk how that works
In my school csp and csa are both year long courses
if you have a 98 in CSP, i think you can get a 93-95 in CSA
if you really try
Alr
yes i’m trying to go into premed and biomedical engineering
ok makes sense
does anyone know any honors world history classes online for summer school? i didnt take it this year and im trying to take ap euro sophomore year but i have to take world history first- preferably in july
what are all the courses I should be taking throughout grade 9 - 12 if I want to be in the field of aerospace
I need advice for math cuz I feel really conflicted.
Idk how many schools do this but in my school Precalculus and Honors Precalculus are really really different. I’ve heard kids say that honors precalc is worse than AP Calculus.
I originally settled on Honors because I want to go into STEM and I think a harder math course would be beneficial for that but I’m honestly starting to get worried about it because my teacher says that most kids’ grades will drop a letter or 2 compared to their usual grades in math.
I have an A in my current math course (straight A student) and if I get a B then I’m not really sure how that will look on my college application. Obviously I’ll try my hardest but I’m still worried.
So I guess my actual question is: If I take honors Precalculus, will colleges care more about my grade (If I get a B) or will they look more at the fact that I took a harder course? Would it be worth it to take honors or should I do on-level precalc for the guaranteed A?
Sorry for long post
honors pre calc isn't that bad, you can actually self study it without much knowledge. Just know basics, such as trigonometry, polynomials, factoring, graphing, quadratics, geometric formulas, exponentials, imaginary numbers, and you should be good
most of that stuff is taught in geometry and algebra II btw
Help me with my sophomore year courses for a Canadian student
Like I want to go to a good American university
I want to know what are the courses I should take
and if you suggest take any because you need to take a english pro efficiency test then guess what my school is English based so ILETS or some bs I don't have to take
you know what field uou want to go into
or some general interests
you would want to get some challenging courses that align with your interests
Thank you that gives me a lot of reassurance i think I was just overthinking it lol
Surgery
well Undergrad Major would be Biology, or Neuroscience
so your looking for courses with surgery
and med school
more bio stuff probably
ap bio, chem maybe, (maybe organic chem, is it a college class??)
Best place to take an AP class online
Does anyone know if I should switch to picking AP bio
YouTube by far
like for science AP’s, organic chem tutor saves lives on the daily
We ❤️ organic chemistry tutor
Should I take a Spanish 3 or Sports Health?
well no I live in Canada that is the problem you see
If sports health is a requirement take that
as I do not have AP courses
it's jsut
college level
applied
level
and university level
If not you should stick with language all of high school
speak in one message lmao 😂
mb
Yea so University level is the hardest but now for qualifying for valedictorian idk if it is a weighted gpa or unweighted gpa system
and it's also confusing as you wouldn't know what exact courses are recommended for applying to certain colleges, unlike you guys
So I want to become a computational or cognitive neuroscientist after high school and have been looking into DE. I found this Java Programmer TCC program and am considering applying for it. What are yalls advice? I’d be taking classes online during the summer.
so many disasters have happened and I don't know where to start
right so I'm enrolled in a Diploma of Health Care
during February I tried to enroll in my courses online and found out I was blocked, emailed counselor, no response
I submitted an online form, including the issue and the courses I wanted to be enrolled in, it directed me to another staff who enrolled me into the wrong courses and told me to pay for one of the courses I picked as an extra one
I wired the money, emailed her, no response
so now I paid for four courses and I'm enrolled in three, two of which are the wrong ones
class starts tomorrow and I've heard from a classmate that all the courses are probably full and I can't change now
Do you guys recommend me to take ap stats with ap cal ab junior year or should I do ap stats with ap cal bc senior year?
And which is harder: ap lit or ap lang?
Hi guys
Which is harder in high school going straight into Spanish 2 or finishing Spanish 1?
if you don't know spanish why would you take spanish 2
finish spanish 1 it's the building block to the rest of spanish
Ap lit is harder, also do ap dtats with calc bc because bc is more challenging.
Depends on you really
Hello, I am an incoming freshman to a well-known catholic high school in Los Angeles. The 9th grade does not offer any AP courses however there is an extra point for Spanish 2 honors which I have tested into; however, I don’t find myself wanting to move forward with this language. I would like to take French, which I also have a leg up in. What should I do?
As an additional question, how many extracurricular activities would you choose for this grade level
What do y’all think is better accounting, Econ, or business? (I’m supposed to pick 2)
3 I’d recommend
That entirely depends on your curriculum and interests
If by extracurriculars, you mean clubs, yeah, you should only really be in 3. But, you should ideally have 10 ECs when you apply to colleges
How bad is AP-Precal
It's like honors pre calc
Just with the ap name and higher weighted gpa
Lil bro
We don't care about your sibling issues, get out of the channel or you're probably gonna get muted
#venting does exist ofc

Is ap enviro a good class for a freshman?
ive heard its pretty ez
yeah APES is a good way to introduce yourself to APs
what’s ap es
and would yall reccomebd taking social studies during summer?
Guys should I pursue APUSH?
ohhh ty
what grade are u going into?
Sophomore
apush is a good, rigorous class that also needs some good essay skills
Mhm usually in my current USH class I write essays with an outline but I’m trying to avoid using outlines when writing in class essays
it’s basically your course in summer (im taking world history)
Next year
do you know what classes you're taking along with it?
world history in summer is 🥶
TYSM my teacher need to recommend tho which I’m scared of
ye but im taking like ap comp sci
ap cs in 9th???
My friend say that APUSH can help prepare for AP Lang
i would agree with him
nah during school year
you could probably do both classes together, as they both help each other out a bit
do you have any other plans during the summer?
we have to take us history
you should be fine, but it may be extremely boring depending on the person you are
They only offer AP physic 1 or APUSH to sophomores
not really might travel at very beginning
yea, it's fine if you wanna do apush
