what abt discord
Its the easiest to get help from discord tho
yes
40% good and 60% bad
u can talk with them
and u will know if they’re qualified
sure but can you trust them on every fact they say
holy shit
Does your school have English 3 or 4
idk
maybe they are just copy pasting facts from google
my biology teacher still hasnt updated grades
thats why linkedin is the best
You don’t know any juniors or seniors?
though you need to have only formal chats their
unfortunately no
my bio teacher is very chill
i have over 100💀
then talk to them
In the class
smae
Why do u have iep
You should email you guidance counselor and ask them if English 1 is the standard for freshman
ok
idk
bro wdym
There has to be a reason right?
I kept using phone in class
HUH
if i do that will i also get a iep
aren't ieps for disabled children
yeah
do u have extra time for tests
Ya’ll, you don’t want to be put in special-ed or iep. These classes are for people with learning disabilities such as autism, Down syndrome, dyslexia, etc
nah i want special accommodations too
more time = better
Do you need it?
Special education is only necessary if you actually need it
I get forced to sit in front of class every period
also i can claim to be a iep student and how hard it is and how I overcame it on college app😎
Isn’t ocd differ for everyone?
bruh the smartest kid in our school has it
Yeah if it is true?
Like some ocd disorders are worse for some people
Mine is mild but still takes up 1 hour of my day
Ok but I’m general if you get put in special Ed, you may get a class that is below your grade level’s standard
Kinda afraid to do homework since when i go to the homework app i gotta do like 5 rituals to make sure i dont go to hell after i die
Does it significantly hurt your education in your opinion?
Yeah
It doesn’t affect classes
My main problem is i keep missing assignments
doesnt hurt it too much
That person skipped like 2-3 grades with a iep
nowadays i basically just tell myself i only have to do these 4 rituals at beginning of day and im good for rest of the day
Good for you
yes
Hope you get better soon
Isn’t rituals normal
At least for younger children
I believe you are talking about gifted and talented which does qualify you as special Ed. However when most people are talking about special education, they are talking classes that are grade levels behind
no they technically get special accomadations
Like extra time
They just never use it
In my schools special education are usually separate classes, so maybe my school is just different
@cinder gorge when you write essays do you keep writing them repeatedly as part of your rituals?
Na
I write Ts and Is with my left hand only
Are you ambidextrous?
No
I mean type
But the ends of all my letters must face to the right
When i write
What AP courses should I take to become a professional pole dancer
Oh
AP macro and micro economics
@thick merlin you should also take AP lang/lit. You would be such a sophisticated dancer
A man with class
i was actually thinking about taking lang lit too
do you think i should take calc ab too
because you dont know when you need to use calculus whilist hanging on the pole
I think AP pre cal is good enough but with ab you will surely become a master at your craft
yeah AP lit is hard
like?
dont take it unless you get really good grades in enlish or youre willing to put the effort in
i havent taken it, but its a lot of reading and essay writing
us
Wow you know a lot
Maybe we could collaborate in the future
which city
could anybody give me a screenshot of harvards what we look for page
it shows acces denied
@wise forge do you plan to write LSAT
Hey, my math teacher said to me and some other students that since we are at the top of the class we can do AP stats next year. Should I do it?
Yeah it’s good
yes
in what year?
while from now, prob 2026-2027
do you know anyone who might be writing it in 2025?
nope
ap physics 1 2 and C. You'll learn how to implement newtons laws of motion into your dances
@thick merlin
ap physics c may be the most useful but yeah
unfortunately ur going to have to learn rotation in ap physics c
wait what exactly is pole dancing?
idek
i just assumed its like the rings in men gymnastics but on a pole
Y’all I think they mean like pole dancing at like a club
I am planning my schedule for next year (senior year) and I am deciding between ap physics 1 or ap statistics, which one do giys recommend if I want to major in computer science w/ a specialization in bioinformatics?
which will be more useful?
I want to take both but don't have space
i see...
Don't waste that opportunity ♡ go for it! Take at least one or two.
Is ap phy 1 too hard?
Guyss next year hs consulers are coming to my school to get my classes that i want to do for hs. What classes should I pick/ which ones are hardest and which ones are inbetween. Please help!! ❤️ I want to study something to do with Tech/computers or graphic design.
dancing on a pole 🤓🤓👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽
Quick question. Is there a recommended level of education I should have in math before I start getting my associates in it?
I'm currently in Grade 10 in Canada and trying to come up with a career plan. I stumbled upon this place hoping to find some answers. My interest is in technology or just computers in general. I love fitness or any kind of sports. I enjoy making content and been taking business. So far, after doing some research, I think something like software engineering, computer science, and entrepreneurship/business at UOFT which would be a good fit. I know these are big goals and big ideas, but as they say, 'Go big or go home.' Please reply so I can see them
So far I have taken computer technology and a art course for last year and business, digital technology which is just computer coding
pls some one help and if you have any recommendation or just any resources please again reply they would mean a LOT to me if you need more detail just feel free to ask
Is this sheule good
English 1 Honors
Algebra 1 honors
Biology Honos
Ap human Geogrpahy
spainish 3 Honors
Personal Fitness
Ap Computer sciecne princles
helath and leadworthy
Yeah
ithis is just waht the =y told me to put this will change for sure maybe
Bro finally you have a normal schedule
ok
this is going to change lol
Change to what
this has like a low percentange keep itself
Has anyone got any recommendations for me?
do apcsp and apcsa
that might help
let me look into that
You saying you were gonna take 14 ap classes in a year is absurd
either my school is like relly afraid of letting students take ap or waht
they dont even let 9th grades do duall ellmoent i think
you mind telling me a little about them?
ap csp is like computer princles and apcsa you can ask someone else
What year
WTF
HOW YOU 9TH GRADE AND TAKING THOSE CLASSES
?
lmfao what
lmfao
you need to calm down
@cinder gorge chill
8th grade is prob part of hs in his schl
im in 9th grade and taking regular courses cause i missed deadline
to choose 9th grade classes in 8th
my entire future got messed up
its not the end of the world, you still got 3 more years
plus id say that by far, sophmore and junior year are way more important
are my elevtis okay for 10th
Ill be taking regular courses every year
if you're interested in them then yeah they sound cool
can you checnk my 11th grade elctives out
sure
ap euro
ap rescarch
apcsa and idk what else
well I mean you could try to take a course online or do more extracurriculars to make your resume better
you don't need a certain amount
as long as your GPA is good, the amount of AP's you take doesn't matter (other than college credits ofc)
lmao dont be so pessimistic
then should i do dc
Whats standard progression for every year in each type of class in america
becuase i am given the collage cridt as long as i pass the class @ashen nymph
wdym by dc?
well not for AP classes
oh im dumb
lmfao
mb
like i can do like a clooage class and if i pass then i get the cridt
credit
so should i do dc
becuase its free
rather than ap
you have free dual credit???
but if you believe that you can be an individual person and manage all your assignments without much guidance then yes ofc
yeah def take it
should i do ap ib or dc
i dont know
my opinion is dc but its up to you
is ib good for collage
because it= am stuck betwen ap and dc
both is good, i'd say just pick if you like to study for a final exam or not
like i want to do c=harder classes but then free colage crdit and hg=igh gpa is good also
so like
becuase dc is 5.5 gpa and ap is 6.0
and dc i get free colalge credit
well since this is only for your cs class
i recommend you take IB to make your life a bit easier with your other AP classes, howveer however if you really want to take a harder class for whatever reason then yes take AP course
@ashen nymph shold i do dc since its good gpa and free collage cridt in 11th and 12th
but i plan to do calsses at collage so like
well if you want the GPA and are gonna take classes in college regardless then take AP
okay
but should i do a few dc to get some free collage creadit
q
Is Ap phy 1 hard ? I wanna take it in Junior year
idk
AP physics 1 is decently dificult, so if you are going to take the class, just don't slack off during lessons lol
Do you have any tips for ap phy?
APs i recommend freshman to take:
AP LANG
AP PSYCH
AP CSP
if you want to save the easy APs for senior year take AP WORLD or APES
only if you’re not a stem focused student
disagree, if you’re trying to get into a T20 school, course rigor (amount of APs) matter
great
keep taking the highest level of course available in pre-requisite subjects. i think you’re on the right track so far!
IB is harder
What are you talking about?
AP comp sci p (simple) // comp sci a (hard) // AP Art and design (medium) // AP physics (extreme hard) // AP calculus (hard)
do not let the difficulty discourage you. if you know you have good work ethic, aren’t afraid to ask for help and good study methods then you’ll be fine
I don’t have IB so I was just going off of what he said ngl
I don’t know about it that much
Definitely try and make sure you’re comfortable with math concepts lots of which come from algebra and geometry
I’m about to turn 15, and want to do a dual enrollment at my local community college.
I want to work in the STEM field, specifically as an astronaut (corny I know). I’m interested in Physics, Math, and Engineering. I’m currently stuck between an associates in physics and math. But I’m concerned I lack a base in both areas to succeed in them. Formally I know up to Geometry, but on my own I know a bit of Algebra 2. I have a while to learn more, but I was curious what you guys thought.
I think that’s a great way to start a career in that field (I’m also interested in the same field, wanting to become an astrophysicist) I do think that it would be very beneficial for you to join engineering clubs and competitions as they have a very far reach into that field as well as it being appealing to colleges if you win competitions from it.
I also do know that NASA starts internships from 10th-11th grade so you could look into that as well
Would SkillsUSA qualify as an engineering club/competition? It’s an organization that has competitions and stuff like that for trade skills.
Yeah, that was one of the ones I was thinking of mentioning
It is harder than AP
So taking IB would make ur life harder not easier
Hey everyone I want to major in biology (like biotech or direct med) and I have like five spots for AP Classes. I am planning to take as a junior: AP Lang, AP Psych, and AP Bio but I don’t know what else to take so if you have any recommendations I would really appreciate it tysm
Chem, calc
I can’t take chem in the same year cause bio is two periods 😭😭
but yes calc tysm
Bio math VS CS math in India
I want to get into IIT madras and do rocket science/mechanical engineering
I don't have interest in Bio but I am good at it
I have interest in coding and I am good at it
but not a fan of other aspects of CS
Hi people, do you think I should take the calc AB exam or the BC exam? Context: Currently taking Calc AB, maintaining an A-, currently a sophomore in high school
Well of you’re only taking AB, I would only take the AB exam
There are mixed thoughts about self studying
I personally would say not to
A lot of the BC content required a good understanding of AB
Im not even taking aps in my freshmen classes
Cause they were literally randomly selected for me
so i have default classes
my chances for t30 got ruined
yo poni help me
is it even possible to fix this
Your chances for a T30 are not ruined from getting a bad selection of AP classes
Ap physics 1 - its algebra based
What course should I take to become a better forensic scientist or a federal agent (FBI, ATF, etc.)
Hi guys I am new to this server
I have had this question since forever
I am kinda stuck btwn the 3 career that most interests me
Aeronautics, Business, and Technology
Any ideas on what path I should go and the classes I should take during high school
btw i am a freshman
thank you
`Alr thank u for all of the amazing options
Can you add Geography pls?
Nah
They are ruined
My life benefits nobody
They aren’t
If your classes are chosen for you
That’s out of your control
And you can mention that in your application?
AP Stat
k
can you check my 10,11 and 12 grade corses out
is this good for high school
Ninth
English 1 honors
alegrba 1 honors (this isnt permaent )

Ap human geo
Spainish 3 Honors
Ap computer sciecne princles
Persnoal fitness

Tenth
English 2 Honors
Geomerty Honors Algebra 2 honors

Ap world Hisotry
Spainish 4
Ap semeiar
Ap physlcosy
Ap art history
11th
Ap english lang
Algebra 2 Honors
Ap phyics 1 (most likiy ap phyics 2)
Ap Us hisotry
spainish 5
Ap rescareh
Ap computer science a
Ap enivmoatal scinece
12th
Ap english lit
Pre calculus Honors ( most liliy not)
Ap phyics 2 ( most lilkiy ap phyics c)
Ap goverment and Ap econmics
Ap europe Hisotry
Ap biology
Ap chemistry
Ap music theroy ( need teacher rec)
@pearl mesa this good
Why music theory?
No its not
does ap mirco
Its hard if you know nothing about music
then what free ap could i do
@cinder gorge should i do the other ap phyics c
then
do both calc ab and bc
Its free 2 APs
but dont collages count it as 1
No
you sure
@cinder gorge shoudl i test out of ap pre calculus in the summer of 9th
Yes
k becuase then i can do ap calc bc and ao stast in 10th then ap calc ab and multi variable calc
mulit variable is new
is that good
my school is new to mulit variable calc
If it doesn’t you can take in a local college
is calc 3 even needed
becuase i can do differnal eautions ans linear algebra in 12th
even normal calc is optional
if calc 3 isnt needed
they count as free ap`s so yes
but calc 3 isnt an ap so like
no
1 sec
alegrba 1 and geoemrty (testing out0
Algebra 2 in ninth ap pre calc over the summer at a collage if i can)
Ap calc bc and ap stats in 10th
Ap calc ab and mulit varibale calc
Differntal eqautions and linear algebra in 12th
is this good
do i have to do chem can i not do ap hpyics 1 in 10th
@cinder gorge grass that good
@pearl mesa that good
would you all recommend taking ap psych as a sophomore with no prior psych experience (minus a view on-your-own researches)?
yes
i am doing that asw ell
do apcsp
Ap
then
I mean that
@lyric flame is this good alegrba 1 and geoemrty (testing out0
Algebra 2 in ninth ap pre calc over the summer at a collage if i can)
Ap calc bc and ap stats in 10th
Ap calc ab and mulit varibale calc
Differntal eqautions and linear algebra in 12th
is this good
i also doing apcsp in ninth
I have to talk to my counselor
Take calc BC in 10th and AB in 11th?
yes
Why
then ab is easy
the class for gpa
Yeah I don’t recommend that
other wise no point
but is it good
No my school it’s algebra then geometry then algebra 2
Or slacking
Then so on
i testing out of alegbra 1
You’re taking a course below one you’ve already taken
adn then i have to do gomerty in the same eyar
so i be doing algebra 2 in ninth
ap re calc at a collage
I am doing mcjrotc
Don’t do that
But it doesn’t look good
If you take a class
Below a class you’ve already taken
It looks like you’re digressing
the should i flip it
so i do calc ab in 10th then calc bc in11th
i need the gpa
There are other AP’s
like hwat
i doing like 22-26 ap`s
like that good right
for an ivy leauge
pls maybe more at a collage
That’s a lot of AP’s that you probably don’t need to do
Like I think there’s a fine line between taking AP’s to be competitive and rigorous and just taking as many as you possibly can to make yourself seem better
I promise you taking 20 versus 26 AP classes is not gonna be the reason you get rejected or accepted
your choice
has better or
depends on where you want to go
i want to go to gthe first one or standford
lol Harvard is better in terms of popularity
Yale is better in terms of the community
Harvard is half rich kids and half low income kids who actually worked hard and deserved to get accepted
i doing harvard yale or standford
what about medium
imo Stanford is better than Harvard and Yale
i stilll havent chosen
even harvard or standford
I'm thinking bout' which major and which uni
are you applying to colleges right now? or have you already been accepted?
i want to go
lol do not major in history
i am in 8th
oh, that’s great. what are your interests?
math sicence hisotry
like stem
maybe
i have never seen a history major come out of uni with a good paying job
if you like stem aim for Stanford
okay
i like stem but i dont think i doing thst for my carer path
@opaque sequoia can you check my high school shedule out
okay, i will scroll up
its up
here
go down
this is a great schedule
are you sure you can handle that much? if so, then you will have a great chance at top schools
i mean maybe
idk
you need to make sure you have time for good extracurriculars… all those APs might not let you have a life outside of high school lol
i have 2 good extraxcurriiles
1
and i might do some interships
like i have 1 extercuulirs right now
need to get like 2 or 3 more
then do some interships
idk how its going to go
@opaque sequoia if i fail i fail
if you’re school offers 22 aps and you take 22 aps BUT have no extracurriculars then you’re probably going to be rejected from top colleges
example 2/ if your school offers 22 aps and you’ve only taken 7 BUT these 7 align with your career interests AND you have great ec’s then you will have a good chance at a top college
i don’t think you will fail
like i willl have 304 etrax cullires
like 3-4
you are only in 8th grade and you’re thinking about ivy leagues, you will be successful when you’re older
that’s seriously good for an 8th grader
you can explain this in additional information!
yo thx
Yes
thanks
okay i need help cutting down my course list for my dual enrollment junior + senior years (courses marked with an asterisk i have to take)
SEMESTER 1 SEMESTER 2
JUNIOR YEAR
MAC 2313 (calc 3) MAP 2302 (differential equations)
CHM 1045C (college chem 1) CHM 1046C (college chem 2)
BSC 1005 (college bio 1) BSC 1085C (anatomy and physiology 1
BSC 1005L (bio w/ lab) PHY 2049C (physics with calc 2)
PHY 2048C (physics with calc 1) ENC 1101* (english composition 1)
SENIOR YEAR
CHM 2210C (organic chem 1) POS 1041* (american govt)
ENC 1102* (english composition 2) PHI 2600* (ethics)
PHI 2010* (intro to philosophy) GEA 1000* (intro to geography)
SPN 1120* (spanish 1) SPN 1121* (spanish 2)
BSC 1086C (anatomy and physiology 2) CHM 2211C (organic chem 2)
which "tougher" courses should i drop just so i literally dont die from work
aint now way
planning to pursue neuroscience on pre-med probably
i checked with my counselor and i COULD take all of these
except like
what classes u take in freshman
should i ask if i can take algebra 2 freshman before this year ends to counseulor
i am freshman and in algebra 1 randomy selected course
what classes did you take sophomore
rn im taking calc 1 (taking calc 2 next semester), a college success course, a business course, then honors english, chem, history, and like a microsoft word/excel course
drop physics with calc 1
and organic chem 2 (won’t you take chem 2 in college?)
was kinda thinking that but i heard from my dad that organic chem was kinda hell so id figured id try to dip my geet in it
but 1 semester is good enough ig
or was i just never meant to get into t30
dw i might only apply to florida universities
yes. you do not want to stress yourself out senior year, trust me.
Whats math progression sorry i forgot
alg 1, geo, alg 2, precalc, calc 1 + 2 + 3 i think
stellar essays mixed with a humble case in why you deserve to get into your dream school and good ec’s
except you can branch off after calc 2
Ok
if u really convey urself you have a great shot. my cousin got into MIT with a 1380 SAT
and his extracurriculars werent too insane
So i can tryhard and get into algebra 2 before my freshman year ends
Im failing human geo
nope, it is not the end of the world if you do not go into a T30
connections, experience, and personality traits are more important than the name of the school you go to
you could go to a school with 86% acceptance rate and meet RICH KIDS and become close friends with them, and ask if their parents have a job opportunity and they will literally hire you. then you will make easy money because you have the right traits and skills for the job.
i mean i mainly stuffed 2 semesters of physics just bc i feel like 1 semester of physics would seem... lackluster? idk
and the missing assignments require a netflix membership and a textbook
ok
you have challenging semesters already, anyone will understand why you decided to leave one semester of physics or chem just for college
Did u do amc
Do u think its realistic to only take a math coursefor 1 semester then go onto an more advanced one
nah i just started HS i hardly even know what AMC is
and i looked at some practice problems
if you excel at it
yes
i just want to do this for 1 or 1.5 years to catch up
it depends if you’re counselor allows it though so ask them
i will just use khan academy
also you need to make sure you know the knowledge so you’re not left behind
yes
i already asked
okay
Why
I have an A plus in honors history an ap gov
by the next semester if i do good enough on algebra 1 finals i get into honors geometry then if i tryhard at that i can get into precalc in sophomore
bro how im ass at history lmao
unless you want to be a history teacher, i would not recommend (salary isn’t that great for history majors)
Oh
medical field finance or computer science
He can be a tenured professor in history in the future
no alg 2? precalc is a lot more algebra based
being good at 2 subjects does not mean you should major in those subjects
unless you want to do that with your career then it’s fine
i mean i mean
Just make it seem interesting to you
i mesnt changing from geo to algebra 2 midsemester second semester then precalc sophomore
i already know algebra 1 and geometry btw
true, if he wants to do that he should
tbh if ur dedicated enough u can just self study precalc unless you gotta take it to go into calc
alg 2 is kinda free too
im fucked
honestly i would recommend doing something you will love doing in the future
salary is also important, but you can’t do a job you hate just for the money. you might get discouraged when you start off with pay lower than what you expected
ok
how did this happen
thank you for advice
can you remind me what grade ur in again?
9
oh okay
we have big quizzes and anothefr essay coming up so it may be fixable
yes
Hey, for anyone who has taken engineering as a major or minor in college, would you recommend someone major/minor in electrical or mechnaical engineering?
try grinding algebra 2 over the summer and maybe try skipping?
cause i heard you need alg 2 for pre calc
im taking it rn in freshman
Has anyone gotten an associates in math? A Associate of Science specifically.
If so, what amount of math do you recommend I know up too?
ok thx
isn't BC only two extra units tho
Take AB first and then take BC next year
Free 2 APs
Rather than just 1 AP
What aps should I take senior year?
Should I go to algerbra 2 in my sophomore year or wait untill junior and hace it all 3 tris
I’m in accelerated geometry
what grade are you in now
freshman?
I’m takin precalc honors as a freshman
so I might be able to help
I’m sopmies rn taking accelerated geometry I can take algebra 2 b this year or should I wait
How are y take pre calf as a fresh Alan
Freshman
Twenty million
Just take it
It’s not that hard
You should take more math classes, it would be more impressive for colleges
geometry is 10x harder than alg
I don’t have a degree yet but what jobs are you interested in?
Geometry is too easy
Sound like a great plan to me
A lot of freshmen taking really advanced classes like that are probably in magnet schools
Some people say its harder than calc
From what I’ve seen a lot of people at my school including me say that geometry is easy
Honestly it really depends on your teacher
I’m plan on being an astronaut. I was just curious on what level of math you would recommend I know before I start.
Formally I know up too Geometry, but in personal study I know some Algebra 2.
Usually you have to be something else before becoming an astronaut like a scientist, engineer, astronomer, and anything stem
I know. I plan on going to the US Air Force Academy and being a commander/engineer as an astronaut.
I’m just trying to make my application more appealing for grad school. And less expensive.
Take AP calculus or any course equivalent
You should probably take both AP physics c. Don’t take AP physics 1 and 2, it won’t help you since they’re algebra based.
Alright, thank you!
What type of engineering do you want to do?
physics c is just calc
I haven’t really decided, but I’m thinking mechanical engineering.
Yes, it’s a calculus based physics
I believe AP chemistry may also be beneficial
You don’t have to do all of them if you feel like your stressed
guys should i do ib
How did you already learn the course material for geometry? I thought you knew only algebra 1 100%
AP Seminar / Honors English II (AP Seminar is in the process of getting approved for the 2024-25 school year for sophomores, idk how that is gonna turn out)
Honors Algebra II
AP World History
Honors Chemistry I
Honors Computer Math
Spanish III
Concert Choir
I'm looking to major in Neuroscience (pre-med) and want to be prepared for research opportunities in the summer was wondering which semester-long electives selection would be good?
Option 1:
Neuroscience/Intro to Biochemistry
Foundations of Immunology/Intro to Genetic Analysis
Option 2:
Neuroscience/Intro to Biochemistry
Semester-long Magnet Level AP Stats/Intro to Genetic Analysis
would it be weird to do ap stat instead of calc
Honors geometry- honors alg 2- honors precalc- ap stat
i dont want to do anything math related in college or career btw
if that makes a difference
why tho if they're both ap math
same weight and same req
stat to prep for research projects ig
plus stat would probably be more useful to my major
polisci has a lot of data analysis
wow
yeah its weird
then probably go with calc bc and take ap stats
id do ab but going straight to bc when it wont be useful to anything and a huge amount of work seems kinda unnecessary
also, is it reasonable to take ap spanish lc if I already have four years under my belt and am not rlly passionate abt spanish that much?
im going to bc i just want to be able to speak spanish
plus a lot of schools now require a semester of language that it could get you out of
if you have 4 years beforehand you'll probably be fine
so ive heard
but my track was wierd
spanish 1 --> spanish 2(for one month) --> hon spanish 3 --> hon spanish 4 --> spanish 5 (now)
thats really weird
in my school middle school counts as 1, so my track is 2h-3h-4h- either AP or 5 base level
you'll prob be fine if you've done well in the other classes
clearly youve done well enough to do spanish 2 in a month and make it through 3 and 4
Guys I’m in a bit of a something.
So scheduling for my school is coming up (early af I know) and I’m really fucking struggling with AP Bio this year. So do I do AP Physics, AP Chem, normal one of the two, or do I do the safe option and do conceptual science next year.
@deft maple is btis good for 9th 10th 11th and 12th

Why no Ap calc?
AP Euro is usually a sophomore class, so did you guidance counselor approve that class for freshman year? I would also try to get Geometry 1 and English 2 your freshman year.
yes
i am testing out of alegbra 1\
so goemetry also get takne care off in 8th
so i do alegrba 2 Honors in freshman
Then try to self study ap pre calc in the summer
Are you trying to self study geometry or are you taking it as a class?
Your school offer geometry to 8th graders?
yes
Craaazy, you go to a magnet school?
no
public
dont most schools offer geometry in 8th grade?
Ain’t no way
bruh
people can do alegrba 1 in 7th
yea my school does that
No, most schools offer 8th graders algebra 1
they do both
Bro what????
if they dont offor alegrba 1 in 7th
What state is this
for my school we has to take a test in 6th grade and if we did good we could do alg 1 in 7th and geometry in 8th
i wasnt smart enough to do tbat tho
i only have to test out of algebra 1
tx the best fr
to do that

isnt alg 1 a 9th grade course
its 7th 8th and 9th
For average people yes
Lucky mf’s get Alg 1 in 7th
That’s what I’m saying
I had mine in 8th
same
bruh people can do 7th its rare but not uncoomom
I’m taking geometry right now as a freshman and it is way too easy
then test out
They won’t let us
Alg 2 sucks
bro same but i suck at geometry
so
idk why i suck i understand the lessons in class but then tests i like fail
ive passed one test out of 4 tests
speaking i might study alegbra 2 over the summer then try to test out and do ap pre calc after in the same year
I have 2 A’s 3 B’s and a D idk how the hell you all manage
Also ways reread the question when your done with your math
This looks like hell
@mortal roost you should also try to get English 2 freshman year
why
I’m not even in Spanish and I’m a Sophomore 😎
besides my school doesnt let us do dual ellmoent for 9th
Because English 1 is for average people and I can already tell your a genius
English 2 is a high school course
i can t becaue i cant do duall ellmonet for 9th
i want to test out of bilogy
sadly my school doesnt allow me to test out of courses
It’s not dual enrollment, it’s an honors class
Same
but i have to do duall ellmoent
Same
which i cant do
Wdym
Why would you have to take a college class?
For a high school course
but for math i can take like a 2-3 week course and move to the next math class so i could take alg 2 this year over summer and be in pre calc in 10th which is my next grade
i cant do 2 classes at the same time
i have to make a speical request for that
and that might not even happen
Ohhhhh, wait does your school let you test out of classes?
yo who here can do the statement reasoning thing for geometry
yes
Yeah so self study English 1
bruh
i dont even have anything to start with
Read Shakespeare
Specifically Romeo & Juliet
^
But ask you guidance counselor for help to test out of English 1. Also use spark notes, it’s website and a life saver
can i do normal chemistry at a local collage
Yes but usually that’s for maybe sophomores but 100% yes for juniors
i can do it as a spmoremore
Yeah if the school lets you
Depends
For example my high school says no for sophomores but my local college says yes
You need both schools to say yes
Honestly I think you might have a higher chance of getting chemistry at a local college
Spanish 1?
After high school
wdym
go to an ivy leauge
uuh- for psychology what courses should i take in high school. besides the obvious (bio 30, chem 30, math 30, english 30)
is there anything else thats worth taking
Instead of focusing so much on getting 26 APs consider extracurriculars
Seriously
It’s much more effective than doing 26 APs
Sir are you real
Nah man like
How you do this
I can barely make myself get out of bed of a mornings
26 AP’s
In 4 years
Consider going “deeper” into them
you don’t need more than 20 APs
Its pretty much a waste of time at that point tbh
you really dont need more than 8-12
thats the average for ivy league now
maybe up to 15
Average doesn’t mean good
past that theyd rather see ur ecs and recs and the other stuff
..it means whats accepted
the average is 3 minutes per application
@mortal roost seems to insist on taking 26 though
after they see 10 or so they probably skim over ur ecs and essays
they just dont have time
and if u have 26 aps with nothing else they wont accept
Technically if you do 5 APs for 5 years
You have time
no the admissions officers dont have time to care
you can do 5 APs in grade 8
they dont spend more than 5 minutes on any one app
that icludes classes, scores, ecs, essays, letters of rec, interviewer notes, etc
Overwhelming them with 26 APs might be viable
they're holistic tho
Who wouldn’t be impressed by 26 APs
i think its more like "ok he takes enough classes to challenge himself" then move on to a different part
sure but thats still only one part of the app
But they’ll assign a academic rating of 1
Which has around a 70% admit rate
first of all how they do that isnt public info
idk where youre getting those numbers
Common data set
Also most of it is common info
@mortal roost what are you extracurriculars?
I also know a stanford AO personally
the cds doesnt include anything about what percentage of kids with a particular amount of aps gets in
stanford is one school
and also holistic
if u have a 4.0 with 26 aps but ur recs are just "hard working" and only joined a couple clubs theyre gonna reject u
its not just smartness
they want to see involvement, impressions, impact
fit for their school
which includes smartness but not exclusively the scores and grades
I agree with Krohnus on this one
question but what do u guys recommend the number of AP classes at what grade lvls
You can join competitions
Physics
Math
will you have the time tho
You could do science bowls and beta club
considering the 26 aps
It’s not me
true
I don’t even advocate for this
Beta club has a bunch competitions in stem and other things like art, music, and literature
but i feel like anyone would have trouble getting involved in ecs while maintaining As in 26 aps
i guess theoretically
Well they can do related ECs
Like math, chem, physics competitions
Or even bio competitions
true
This is good but will be a lot hopefully ur prepped. Do u need to take bio 9th cuz taking ap bio senior year. Also get rid of E+M that requires some advanced calculus that might be a big challenge for u not having a calc class at that time. Mechanics is also going to be a struggle but should be doable if u self study calc 1 before u start it. Also I see u have world history twice on there. Just so u know AP world history was the old name but modern is the new class they have the exam for. U might not want world history just modern. Also try doing that before APUSH will help a lot. And then u need chem before AP bio will be nearly impossible without. Maybe do AP chem in 9/10 then will be ready for bio. Just saying that is a lot of courses so be prepared to suffer and probably not have a ton of free tme, especially in april and may.
The thing is they don't want an all rounder student
They want an all rounder class
So I'd recommend you go deep into a subject
Don't take all the subjects
If you are passionate for physics, go very deep into physics
True
It just shows that you want to make your achievements interminable
Too
Exactly
Don't run after everything
They want an all rounder class
1 student might be a consummate pianist
1 might be a mathematician
One might be an ardent dancer
Frankly saying, specialize in one field not all
Theres a frnd of mine whose sister got into Oxford last year
I remember her being an amazing figure skater
She devoted all her life to figure skating
While maintaining a good academic profile ofc cuz we all know oxford heavily focuses on grades
@mortal roost I rlly appreciate how hard you're working tho
Hope you achieve your goal
khan academy
its easy
Hey, I'm a rising junior and wondering if I have a good course selection, I want to be a bio or econ major
Ap Physicis C ME
Ap calc bc
Ap art history
Ap gov and Pol
Ap micro
Ap seminar
Ap stat
Thank you in advance!
Ap physics might be hard without any alg 2 or trig
Also ap physics C is calc based
Also also have you checked your schools requirements? Remember you have to fill out all of your state and school credit requirements, you might have mandatory enrichment courses
Bro that’s what I’m saying, I litterally learned the entire course on Kahn academy in 9 days
🖐️ need help?
Good for Junior year? (H is honors)
English 3
Spanish 4H
Physics (school req)
APUSH
Precalc H
AP gov and politics
AP Macroeconomics & AP microeconomics (they are both half year)
Orchestra

im gonna be a senior next yr and im picking classes but im struggling to pick between anatomy&physiology or ap bio for next yr
ap bio:
- the class is rlly fun and the teacher makes it impossible to fail the class even if u dont do good on the tests
- wouldnt be as challenging as anatomy bc of how awesome the teacher is
- also js bc its hard to fail, doesnt mean the teacher doesnt teach, he will still prep me for the ap bio exam
- will prep me for college
anatomy & physiology:
- teacher is super strict
- his class is super rigorous which would def prep me for college
- not as fun of a period bc of the strictness
Also im not sure on what i plan to major in for college, probs more on the bio or public health side than chemistry major
Also im gonna be pre med!
Seems like you want ap bio more
Ap bio
Anatomy and physiology is not yet a AP course
i mean yeah but like which one would be better for me in college
Its still rigorous, also its dual credit at my school
Plus if you hate a class you’re less likely to do well and u said ap bio is easier anyway
It’s better to get a good grade
true
im just kinda worried ab being biased towards the class based off how fun it is
but as a pre med its still a useful class
And that’s still a factor
If nothing else enjoyment often correlates to grades
Plus do what u like
This should be designed to make u miserable
I know
We have anatomy and physiology too
Its harder than AP bio
Guys, do colleges care more about course rigor or shud i take courses for higher gpa
10th grade:
AP Pre calc, AP bio (teacher is lowkey bad but nice and it’s hard to have high a) AP World History (easy but lot of work), English 2 (teacher is sooo hard), AP Physics (ik im doubling up science but honestly not sure if i shud), Dance (but i could just take it later instead of now) and theatre production
the question is shud i double up in science
yeah
yeah
but like AP Bio will take a lot of time, so will AP World, physics is a lot of concept so not as much memorization so still time consuming
oh no 💀
idk u shud ask ur cousnelor
^^
@mortal roost what do you want to major in?
Do you need AP music theory for that?
I'll just ask here
Does the flex exchange program allow any students to apply or is it just students from certain countries
I'm from north Africa but I want to apply so badly
Is it possible to study abroad for free scholarship as transfer student
And which one will be the best option and how to apply
And whats the requirement
Yes it's possible
I heard of YES and FLEX
Also their is tech girls but it's a summer program
The problem is Idk if I can apply or is it impossible the info is kinda hard to get to
I see
Wait are u also trying to study abroad
Yes
It's been my dream since I was a little kid
I'm trying my hardest to get into kl yes or flex
But application is closed
So I'm gonna work hard this year to get accepted
It's my goal right now and I'll research as much as I can
Most certainly
Is industrial engineering a good degree?
And what courses should I pick in high school?
Then you probably shouldn’t take it
Are you interested in it for reasons other than money?
Not really sure, I’m just trying to look at options and my father suggested industrial engineering.
Do you like math?
Hate it
Engineering might not be for you
Damn
Do you know about a degree that would offer a more technical job setting like working with your hands.
Welding or carpentry
I mean I’m in the pre IB program at my school
So stem is basically destiny
But you should do something you like and you said you hate math
gardening
💀💀
He said college degrees
botany
do u need a botany degree to be a gardener
No-
Hey
i need help
so i live in india
im in 8th grade
last year of middle school for us
i wanna know if i wanna take something in the field of history or literature
so indians
is there any subject like that u can take
in ur 11th and 12th
and after that anyone pls dm me how to move forward
Thank you
dont u take humanities for that? atleast in cbse
do uk any degrees that doesnt require physics? i absolutely hate grade 12 physics so yeah maybe soemthing stem related or in engineering (not in biology because its not possible here if uhave math as ur core subjects)
Maybe computer science
a math or history or science degree is very good
if u like math history or science
@mortal roost
Go with math and science and do like engineering or something
History is cool but it will not get you paid
History is more of a liberal arts degree
History can take you a lot of places, but not in any specialized occupations.
(besides like teaching history at a secondary or below level)
A history degree CAN be good preparaton for law school if thats your avenue
Math is a more specialized degree program, which can lead to jobs in economics, science, politics, and accounting.
