what are the best ap classes to take as a freshman
ap human geo is pretty easy
I would say chose at least one science ap if your school allows it cause it’s beneficial
should i take algebra 1 over the summer and then test out in ninth grade
@nimble trail
I did the same, but I did it in 7th grade
You can do it if you feel confide t
Confident
Algebra 1 over the summer is stressful
But geometry is easier than algebra 1 in my opinion
yeah i skipped geo over the summer
🤮
I completely disagree lmao
calc bc covers everything AB does and more, and it is very difficult if you don’t already know the material
Taking AB prior to BC makes BC infinitely easier. Source: at my school people have to get a 5 on the AB exam to enter the BC class
I agree, calc BC would be a nightmare of a class if I hadn't taken AB
I just co-enrolled in geo and algebra ii lmao
Tbh that kinda makes BC easier if u just take AB beforehand
Most schools usually require AP Calc AB as a prereq before BC
Mine it does
Next year I'm taking AP Precalc and Calc AB
Yeah I know why many would want to take it before BC (and benefit from it) but I generally prefer working at a faster pace and learning more material, especially in math where I pick it up easily
Should've clarified further than "imo," that's my bad
And, at least in my school (and from what I've researched), the first semester of BC is the exact same as the year of AB
So for me that would be better than spending a year in AB then going to BC
And it's to a point where I genuinely feel and have felt out of place in my math classes, including AP Calc AB right now
I couldn't take any AP classes freshman year
I skipped it
I couldn't in ms
My parents literally didnt allow me to
now i've gotta catch up for valedictorian
Valedictorian is stupid
It just means you can perform well in school and are academically misplaced
does algebra 2 just build on stuff from algebra 1 or is there other stuff too
should i self study ap bio, ap psych, and ap csp as a freshman or is this too much and i should remove psych
The first semester
The second introduces logs, imaginary numbers, x^a, etc
why all of the self-studying AP’s? Assuming you’re taking AP classes at school, this is too much imo. AP biology should definitely be taught by a teacher and not self learned. AP psychology depends per person, AP CSP is definitely possible.
Although again, why are you self studying these AP’s? I would only self study an AP class to show colleges that I’m motivated about what I like. For example, I like astronomy, and being an astronomer has lots of software engineering involved. So because my school doesn’t offer AP CSP, I would self study it.
Also you said that you’re a freshman. This is the year to branch out and find extracurriculars you are interested in, not burning yourself out, taking college level classes self learn straight out of middle school. I would calm down for a bit.
But to answer your question, we need more context. Such as what you like, classes your taking, ect.
im not taking any ap classes as my school doesnt allow you to take any courses but am taking the most rigorous possible course i can: Algebra 2-H, Biology Honors, US History 1-H, French 2-H, English 1-H, PE, Marketing and Advertising 1
As Yale said “Contex, Context, Context” colleges expect you to take the hardest courses your school offers which you are clearly doing with all of the honors classes. Do you have any idea what you want to major in?
So you should look into AP Microeconomics
prollyy gonna do it next year
Didn’t you say your school doesn’t offer AP classes?
or is it easy enough to do it this year?
How you do calculus
they do but not in freshman year and i was saying i would self study it next year
by doing calculius
math 🙂
using ur brain
But idk how
Oh sry
Like AP calc?
Oh alr. I would hold off by self studying AP’s this year. Focus on extracurriculars while you can
Do your required classes first that you need to graduate
So I've been working and pre-planning for my next semester of classes and currently as a sophmore I'm taking Honors Lit, regular World History, Spanish II, and art for that semester. Right now I'm working and focsing on getting my grades up in my current classes as high as I can right now, but I'm starting to doubt my course selection for this year and I would appreciate any advice about how I should go about my next semester in order to boost my class rank, scholarship probability, and recruitment probability up the highest as I plan on graduating a semester early and going to the best university avaliable for aspiring law students.I'm also a 2 sport student athlete and in 7 different clubs, 4 of which I hold a leadership role in, and I also voluteer at the school library. Any advice on how to balance all of this mess?
Spanish 2 is the easiest class ever
Don't worry
Unless you end up bored at the end of the year
alr, thank you!! maybe im just stressing unnecessarily lol
hey guys ...my high school will be over in few months ...and i still not sure what i should do in future ...i took physics chemistry biology psychology and english ...so anybody could give me suggestions and views on any course i should look forward and which would help my career
I’m pretty sure you can apply to colleges “undecided”
i have asian parents...wont settle until i got something planned till 100 yrs of my life😂
Hi I am Indian and I don't know which exam to prepare for. I want to be an astronomer by the way.
You can practice medicene or something else science related
I would just explore different carrers and ask your guidence counselors/family/friends about what they do
Also you should do something that you want. Dont get pushed into a carrer that you don't like because of your family
my parents are really okay with whatever u want to do thing but they want everything planned up thats all lol
oooh
Hi! My parents are fine with whatever I choose for my career. I am a narcotics/police/law/internation relations/civil services kind of person.
I have good grades in high school and its time for clg subject selection.
Now the safe way that everybody recommended me is cs/phy/math
as later I always have the oppurtunity to switch subjects to law/political science/economics/history/eng lit etc
Now I know for a fact that I can not sit infront of a computer for the rest of my life, whethers its a job as an IT professional/software developer etc
Similarly, I cant study the next 15 years of my life to become a doctos knowing its so competitive
I want to do a field job, where its energetic as hell. In my country we have the CSS Exams, which stands for central superior servies, and its competetive boi
Now the entire ambiguity is, to whether I should switch to my fav subjects (law/political science/economics/history/eng lit) at this stage and go by what the heart says
or select sciences at this point so that I have the option later on to switch if I want to
Sry for the long msg guys, but please do help me find an answer
Also I wanted to explor the oppurtunity to go into the air force and I would have to keep phy and math for it, which I could consider although the min height requirement for females to work as a fighter pilot is 5'4. I'm 5'0 at 16
aint growing that long in 2 years.
So yea
Major in criminal justice
Or pick that
So high school is O levels here, and clg is A levels. @vale yoke
These are the humanitarian subjects offered at clg stage..
Cambridge International AS and A Levels are available in 55 subjects. They are regularly updated and extended, well-resourced and supported.
and these are the rest of them
Take law pysch, soc
Alright lets do it, thankyou!
I'll just research a bit more
and finalise my desicion
Take history too
I was thinking on the lines of these too
yea i love history
i've heard subjects like these have an easier chance at university admissions
compared to cs and other competitive subjects
is that true?
What aps to take as a student(self study) interested in majoring in business(ima freshman)
Hey Brenda, how's your organization plan going??
Did you ask your teachers??
Great! All the Best!
I emailed the officers so I’m just gonna ask them in person too cuz they didn’t reply
thank you!!
I also asked my pysch teacher she said she loved it
so I’m gonna do it with the pysch club
I loved the idea too!! It's awesome
Don’t study AP Econ macro/micro micro is hard you need a teacher
Take calculus
The exam is super easy
statistics could also be useful
Can I get into ivy league with a state syllabus ( in india)
Bro I’ll end up taking it in junior year ab and bc in senior
Or I might study pre calc in the summer
And do ab in sophomore and bc in junior
What do I do?
I was thinking ap bio and ap csp but bio doesn’t relate but it looks good apparently to have completed
That’s what I’m doing
There’s nothing wrong with that
Don’t bother taking pre Calc over the summer just take it during school
Or u could also do junior year ab senior year stat
If ur majoring in business u should take a stat course
u don’t need pre calc
just do calc
Ap bio is useless for u and very hard
do csp its better
bio is so hard except for lab report
Most schools require u to
And Calc is easier if u have a precalc foundation
yo guys
so
my school doesn’t allow aps for freshmen
so next year when im a sophomore
i wanna take just 1
He said he is self studying
to get a feel for them n if it goes well
would taking like 4 be manageable as a junior?
take it by urself
i was js saying that for context for my question
i dont really wanna take one yet
here’s my question
no
its bad to cram everything in junior year
well what if 2 of them i plan on taking are usually regarded as some of the easiest
and also satisfy graduation requirements of other courses
Na I’m talking about courses, how would I self study pre calc😂 it’s not a ap
It is actually
Ik I am but I want to take one other ap so what do u reccomend to self study
How is pre calc an ap?
Well my school doesn’t offer it ig then
well i cant do more than 1 sophomore year because with all of my required courses i only have space for 1 ap
What do u reccomend
pre calc just got added as an AP so I don’t recommend it
My school doesn’t offer it I think
just take it by yourself
I might just self study it next year cuz I’ll be in honors pre calc anyway
But what ap should I self study rn with csp?
Psych?
Calc
well it wouldn’t really be because i am also planning for a lot of courses that i find interest in ALSO in that year that would be easy electives
Idk about that cuz I’ll take it anyway later no matter what why risk not getting a 5
like spansih 4, an intro to robotics class, a class ab the film industry
uhh what else
lol 5 is so easy for calc
much easier than any other ap course
U need like 50%
Prolly it is but I’ll take it any way bro
are you taking csp currently?
Ye I’m self studying it my dad does csp
ooo
would you say it’s interesting
it’s a class i wanna take in the near future so i js am curious
I haven’t started the grind yet but I saw yt for some problems and it’s pretty free
Like no coding is even required
Just understanding it
you’re self studying so idk if it’s different but i heard the ap class for it is easy
if you pay attention
Ye but im looking to self study something else this year cuz I don’t wanna cram hella in junior year yk
But I want something related to business
so for next year for a science course i have to choose between chemistry or physics
i’m thinking of choosing physics bc i don’t rlly like math and stuff and i know that’s bigger in chemistry
I’ve heard physics are much harder tho
also physics interested me more
physics 1 is easy
Ye that why I want to study pre calc over the summer so I can take stat in senior year
just don’t take physics c
Ye mb I meant c
mechanics or e&m
but also i’m good at memorization
i guess i’ll get to that decision when i get there
What ap should I do other than calc lol for business
that’s in about 3 months i have to choose
stats prob
Or maybe even economics
im working on it
I take ap Econ in junior year automatically
probably junior year bc they don’t allow sophomores to take it
is it hard
Is stats ez enough for freshman year?
idk im self studying
are you a freshmen rn
Yea
Yea obv
What courses u taking currently
my school has 0 aps since im not in the US💀
me?
Lol how do u know so much
Ye
i’ll list the required ones and the ones i chose separately
I took chem, calc and psych in sophomore year
But ur school doesn’t offer aps did u do it at community college or something
no i just took the exam
Oh it allows self studying
required:
- us history
- geometry (i was accel in middle school so this is normally a sophomore class)
- 10th grade early american lit (also was accel in middle school for english so this is sophomore class too)
- biology
chose:
- spanish 2
- website design
you’re allowed to take APs as an underclasmen?
later this year i have
- health (required)
- modern history
- historical novels
- strength and conditioning
I took geom in 8th grade my school is hella different
yeah schools are different
wtf in my schools I was never allowed to take as an underclasmen
does it count if you only taken the ap exam
i cant take ap classes as a freshmen
u can take the exams
6
but website design is only 1 trimester and spanish is 2 trimesters
oh no I was talking to the other person
some people take calc in freshman year
I’m taking algebra 2-honors, biology honors, English 1 honors, French 2 honors, Us history 1 Honors(We are using the Apush textbook😭), pe, marketing and advertising
that was self studying
ik i was just saying
that i also am not allowed
Yea we can self study
They just don’t “reccomend it”
oh ok yeah nobody is really allowed to take them as an underclassmen
most schools allow freshmen to take ap
that i know of
us history is my favorite subject
do it now that you can and you’re not stressed about college
that’s why i’m gonna take apush next year
My teacher doesn’t teach tho he just tells us to read the textbook
my school doesn’t even have french
we only have spanish and sign language
you can take multi variable and linear algebra at college when ur in hs if u completed calc too
During class he talks about his own problem(he’s in college)
bro i’m is getting my pe credit out of the way this year
is that what you’re doing aswell?
How can he teach if he’s in college
Wdym
Like he’s taking an extra course
i have to take a pe class to graduate
He already graduates
whattt I have to take pe all 4 years to graduate wtf
You only have to take it one year‼️
omg that sucks
I hate NJ 😭
only 1 trimester
Its fine
I live there too
It’s a free gpa boost I mean
i dont got the space for more pe
I play soccer anyway
Yeah but PE = more exercise
also i do not like getting sweaty during school and having to go to my next class sweaty and stinky
it bothers me
yeah but i’m at school for academics and to learn not to work out
i can do that out of school hours
I hate NJ I can’t wait to leave
Its boring 90/180 days we just jog around the track
huh
There hella opportunities here
Yes I took 2 sophomore and 5 junior and senior it’s doable
PE is fun here like all sort of sports
true but the people are rude asf
okay
and it’s cold
u can’t take the exam in senior year
My schools good ngl
It doesn’t count
other ppl said it wouldn’t be but they didn’t consider the fact that i’m highly motivated when it comes to school
and i would do it to challenge myself not just look good to colleges
also in topics that i’m highly interested in
u must be from south Jersey because or you go to big school lol
so it’s not like i’m forcing myself to take ap classes, it’s because i actually am interested in the classes and want to take them
Hardest class I’ve ever taken and I’m a straight A student
Wiat Ik this doesn’t relate rn but if your taking an ap class in senior year can you even put it on your college app?
Na
Yea my school is massive
physics c?
🤣🤣🤣🤣
i think you can because you apply at the start of senior year so you’ve already begun the class
like that makes sense in my mind
but also
considering that you could fail it
pork roll or Taylor ham
i’m not sure
Do u want to take both ab and bc? Cause u could just not not bc and take stat. If u wanna do all ap maths tho take pre Calc over the summer
Yea but you can’t put the score right cuz you take it after
nah but tbh take Dual Enrollment
Ye that’s what I mean like I might just take pre calc over the summer
ahh right
I should’ve dropped AP pysch but tbh I didn’t want to do the other option
i don’t know much about college applications
🤢🤢🤢
it’s way easier to get college credit on dual enrollment
why
Apush is just bad cuz my teacher is horrendous
Yes u can
Psych is not as easy as some people say
i have the apush teacher rn but for just normal us history and i think he’s pretty good
It won’t count towards admissions
5 was fucking hard but they were also all hard ones
for me it is because I took intro
yeah
But how do u put it on your college app😭
1 of the 4 i’m planning for junior year is csp which i’ve heard is easy
Ik that but I can still take it for credit
do apes
and it also satisfies the graduation requirements for this other course so
U can’t
no point then
I’ve heard most colleges don’t take it for credit
my school doesnt offer it
Very
damnnn
here want me to list the ap classes that my school has
whattt
There is a point I can place out of college requirements
Ima ask this again tbh but what ap should I take for business other than csp
oh probably because they caught on to people saying it was really easy and for people to take it so they went money
Im hella confused🤦♂️
Econ
duh
I take it no matter what in junior year
my school has:
ap bio
ap calc
ap chem
ap csp
ap euro
ap gov
ap lang
ap lit
ap physics
ap stats
apush
ap world
Literally take econ
its actually useful unlike some other stuff
Bro I take it anyway in junior bruh😞
Most colleges will take most ap exam scores if they’re high enough
From what I’ve heard no
if you take it now you won’t have to take it again
Dogshit history teacher
stat too
omg world
Is there any use to even take any aps in senior year
should i take ap world or ap euro in junior year
take world
okay
world history sounds fun
I wish my school had AP world and euro
They cancelled ancient history though
i already have to take normal world history next year so i would have prior knowledge on it unlike euro
That was sad
take both in ur hs career
Generally u want to match or go above the aps ur doing junior year in senior year
ugh I wish I had more history
here is the ap classes i wanna take junior year:
ap world
ap gov
ap bio
ap csp
i will
Is human geo easy
my school does 2 years of APUSH so you literally have to do it from 10th grade
history is my fav subject so i’m taking all the courses i’m able to
Doable
Makes sense
Lowkey i was so tuff at that in 7th grade
like if u don’t do it in 10th grade u can’t take APUSH
My school went to humanities
lol i like ancient history so much
Oh we do it in 9th+10th
also i would like to add the csp satisfies the 4th year math graduation requirements for my school so i wouldn’t have to take another math class after sophomore year
I mean I don’t get it because most other schools don’t do it and they don’t do it for any other AP
that’s wacky
fr they make me sick
Guys do I take ap macro, ap micro, or ap psych
Apush curriculum is very fast
i don’t know anything about any of them so i cant provide input
Class or self study
Self study as a freshman
Psych
Psych would be easiest
would taking good notes throughout normal us history classes be helpful for in the future taking apush cause you alr got some decent notes that you can just add to
macro and micro is one class 2 different tests
my teacher said she’s doing micro later in the year cuz it’s harder
U need to spend a time though
Will it serve any value for business cuz I heard it does
Psych you can take no matter what you go into
dude i literally got a 4 for psych while 5 for calc and chem 💀
Technically I never took apush but I would think so
Lmao
PFTT
How 💀
would you say that i should do the ap test for apush if it’s my favorite subject
The thing is i actually like psych
okay
But i was more focused on chem
Psych is just a bunch of memorization
I understand calc cuz math is Math
But how did u do better in chem than psych😭
How many aps did u guys take in freshman year lol
is doing the most years of world language better than just the required graduation amount
because i am planning to do as much as i can
I feel hella lucky rn
Depends
Guys is human geo easy
Yea ig 2 is a good number
What language and do u enjoy it
Ye
the way that the spanish teacher at my school teaches makes the class very easy
spanish and yeah i rlly like learning it
From what I’ve heard yes
also my friend is also going to do it with me so
So go all the way
Somehow my school doesn’t offer it
yeah
i took the first in middle school
so i only have 3 years of it to do in hs
it only goes up to spanish 4 at my school anyway
I did Spanish in elemtary school but from 6th up I’ve done French
my school doesn’t have french
Latin since 6th grade go crazy
we only have spanish and sign language
my school doesn’t rank im so mad
Lol it only starts in 9th
Mine doesn’t either
cuz it’s literally so small and they don’t rank like tf
But I’m 3rd in my class 😭
Bro my school 3000 kids
What does that mean
Rank?
guys which is easier
How small
ap lit or ap lang
Class rank by gpa
💀
my graduating class is 123 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Class rank
Bro what
they do that?
for someone who isn’t as good at writing but enjoys reading and doing projects about literature
Lmfao mines 30
We have 700 ish kids bro
LMAO what 🤣🤣🤣
Some schools do
holy crap
I moved 😑
wait my graduating class is like 150 ppl or smth
Won’t some kids be unhappy or embarassed
An average gym class has 200 kids yes we combine all grades
I go to a prek- 12 Christian private school with 650 kids
guys what factors come into play when deciding valedictorian
Prolly
is it just purely grades
Gpa
Weighted gpa
and do all years matter
That’s it
ok
And how is ur graduating class 30
It’s weighted tho right?
bro we elect valedictorians 💀💀
Wth
Actually it’s 31
idek what my school does
but i think schools usually pick based on ur gpa
The whole school is 650 kids
well no like how many people are in ur grade
That’s not how that works 💀
31
that’s so funky
is it not a separate high school
That’s less than just the freshman here
I’m a senior
it is like that in canada 💀
same but like how is it 31 🥲
My school is the best education(public schools)and sport wise in the entire state
Our sports team have such a low chance to make bruh
sports at my school SUCK
Because it’s expensive
That’s free varsity I mean
our only good team is like our girls softball i think
ah
Same
your hs only has 650 students?
The only walk on team in my school is cheerleading🤦♂️
No surprise there
that seems a little off lol
my school has like 1000 something students
No my whole school 😭
idk the exact number
3000 here bruh
how thats huge
Anyone wanna trade bruh
u must go to a feeder school then
Hell nah
?
my school is in a pretty small area
what’s a good amount of clubs to be in?
like the students go to ivys or whatever
i’m in 2 currently
10
HUH
how many clubs are there
Oh no not really
What
Hella but every club has mad people in it
i’m in a club that is mostly seniors so next year i’ll get a leadership position
10 because that’s how many you put on common app
They don’t all need to be clubs 💀
Oh ok that’s good
Bro I’m scared cuz I might lack in “varsity” lvl sports
oh
Cuz we also have freshman teams
so can that include sports
yes
But I don’t know if colleges care about those
okay
Have one really good extra curricular
tbh you don’t need to have a sport
u should be set
so i’m in 2 clubs rn and 1 sport but i PLAN on joining more clubs next year or if any more pop up this year that i find interesting
it helps you but it doesn’t hurt you if don’t
yeah
the ideal would be a really good extracurricular
join everything and get positions
Yearbook
Crew
Soccer
Tutoring- NHS/ Discord
Camp Counselor
Trivia
Medical Minds
Flag Football
NHS- community service
Local service org
tbh i’m only in the sport that i am bc my friends also do it so it’s js a way to hang out w them
is nhs worth joining
i’m interested
Don’t do stuff for college do it cause u enjoy it
100%
I never played one
Just club
I don’t think it’s ideal to put discord tutoring on common app idk i feel like colleges don’t like social media unless you actually run your own stuff
Yo let’s theoretically say I only play varsity lvl soccer one year but have 8 years of club lvl(5 years of academy) is it still good
NHS should just be counted as 1 no?
Don’t care I did it so it’s there
true 😂😂😂
Cuz in junior year I might make varsity or jv
so for this club we do stuff for the school but we are also junior dda of our town so could those 2 things be put separate like
Don’t know I’m not an admissions officer
My counselors said put it as two
Ye ig u right
what is medical minds
Club
what does nhs do
What’s useless?
you need good grades and do community service
ohh
Like random irrelevant stuff just to look good
honors society
Its so common
Nhs as an org and then I did additional stuff with tutoring
can the community service be stuff in other clubs
What’s irrelevant?
NHS usually tutors kids for classes
Mhm
it’s so common tbh it’s not really that impressive anymore lol
like oh u joined this random club u have no interest in just to fill up ur application
Lowkey you guys should join boy/Girl Scouts not only do u get community service under you belt but also fun experiences and the possible award of Eagle Scout
I didn’t…
well ppl can join random clubs to see if it’s something they’d be interested in…
Again don’t care I did it so it’s there
I’m not trying to go to Harvard
He prolly has leadership roles in them
nah I’m just saying lmao
My main thing is yearbook
it’s good to try out a lot of clubs that ur school offers so u can know what you’re interest in
our school got a bunch of ivies acceptances
6 years, assistant editor in 11, editor in 12
you never know until you try it
oh ok
As long as he made an impact and has leadership schools it’s good
ayyy i’m in yearbook
I was gonna ask I’m like mmm yearbook over NHS little strange haha
Aren’t u not in the us
Yeah
i’m learning photography to become one of the photographers and i’m also on the sales team
I’m my school you have to be in yearbook class in order to be in the club
Our school is 70% asian though
Crazy
That makes more sense
It’s not a club it’s a class
I also do photography but mobile
💀
mines a club
But I do a shit load of stuff for it outside of class
Me too but with a camera
class with the club
That’s pretty
Is that an iPhone?
Anyways most people don’t have camera in my school
Damn that’s wild
In a good or bad way
Good
How many years of history do y'all reccomend?
well if you like history then take as many as you want
but if it doesn’t interest you then just take the required amount
I don't like history very much imo
What classes AP classes are needed for Engineering and Business?
Hey guys i need some help. I am taking O levels currently and i have these subjects English Urdu Bio Phy Chem Maths Islamiyat Global Perspective Pakistan.Studies Add Math's. I have decided on taking C.S as my major but i dont have it as a subject in my O levels. I can switch and take C.S instead of Bio but would it help me in my college app or would it just be a useless effort. ps. I am trying to go to U of T
Mine does too but my school has the one from the previous choices
So rn they have the 23-24 course card that I got to pick from last year for this year
Not the 24-25 for next year
yes but i would assume most courses are going to be offered next year aswell
Hi, should i take AP human geo for freshman year because i want to set a good unweighted gpa with aac world geo but i feel like AP human looks better. Also, should i take AP computer science principles, i want to but then it would offset my career plan for highschool. What should i do?
Just take classes ur interested in
High skool is the time to explore
Ap human geo is very easy, so you should be fine
is it worth taking it even if ur planning to go to math/science careers
the more ap's you have the better. Take it freshman year, and then take the aps that your interested in later on in highschool like Junior and sophomore
It wouldnt hurt to have it on there
would it be better to have multiple school choirs, a select acapella group, drama club, and a yearly school musical on your transcript or different interests like a creative writing or debate club? or even yearbook.. im a sophmore and only in music stuff and im worried about it affect my college apps, i have a perfect gpa and a bunch of aps so far idk if that matters
also im taking a lot of duel credit classes in the school year as well as during summer
cause im not quite sure what im doing in college or if itll even be music related
ok, thank u!
My community college has accounting major, but the credits are not transferable, so I was wondering if I take business administration and focus more on accounting, so, when I transferred to a four-year college, I could switch from business administration to accounting without having to start over.
Is that good or is there another major that would make it easier?
Then business administration
They also have economics with transferable credits. Should I take that instead of business administration, because I’ve been doing some research in people say, business administration is too broad.
which is more harder apush or apwh?
APUSH is defenitely harder
I took ap gov this year what should i take next year
Apush is a great class if your up for the challenge
I dont like it tbh I would rather take apwh ngl but my frnd said it was very damn hard he took it last year
Accept my dm
ok so i'm gonna graduate high school in 2027 and i need to think of collages now
Bro how does your school let you choose your courses
Apush and by a mile
What happened to hojlund did he get injured
what credits do you need?
yeah I believe so man utd are sh*t so I don't bother to watch them anymore
every week its the same exact result
L L L L W L L L L
Fair enough lol well barca was like that in 2021 like the beginning of the season
The team is decent manager is good but owners are kinda crap
yeah glazers out
mhm
ok ima go study pce
Carabao cup is the only competition Man U can win now
the whole club is wilding lmaoo
we arent gonna take that seriously so idgaf
its a useless competition anywas
aight bro you a chelse fan i dont wanna see u talk now buddy
12th 14th..all this money spent almost over a billion 50 new managers yet you cant beat nottingham forest 😂
We are 1 point behind u and we are coming off a win with a mudryk goal(needed for confidence)
Crystal palace is arguably worse now and you lost to them
Plus 3-1 Brighton Atleast we beat them
Man as a fan you got to understand, I don’t care about the money but about the trophies and games I don’t care if we spend another billion
still you gotta explain last season buddy 😂
cuz wtf was that
We’ve placed better than you in the last 5 years
well they are above both of us in the table so
so they aren't a shi*ty team
Also we have spent less money than you in a decade span
oh yeah cuz you played them in a cup game budyd
nobody takes the cup seriously 😂
and they were playing their second team
They played their a team
nope
I don't think sanchez and diassi are second team bro
same with jackson and mduryk
and caicedo
anyways
we get it we both are shit team and we arent making top 4
He’s kinda bad ngl
Mudryk wasn’t a starter sterling is always gonna start over him
well you lot are rich af so you love splashing out the checkbook on on any player
if they can run bet give them a 100m contract
Until this game hopefully 🤞
its legit like what it feels chelsea re doing
I don’t care about money😂
nah im just saying tho
I care about trophies and how the team plays
its kinda funny how todd boehly is working this out
paying all this money yet barely winning games and giving poch the sack in a few months
wild
Like everyone clowning Chelsea fans for money got to understand that it doesn’t matter for us it’s boehly money
He won’t
Can we move to a different chat?
I think he has the Brains now
😂 lmaoo
is there a sports chat in this server
this aint a club tho
You can still talk about athletics there
okay poni
As a junior, whos never done an ap or honors course before, could I do well on the ACT AND do the AP stats, APES, AP Macro tests, and self study AP Euro history, Micro, Human geo, and Psychology tests? Im especially good at math and social studies, with my weakness being english and im decent at science. I want to major in math and plan on taking Calc BC as a senior
relax lol you don’t even need to start thinking about them until sophomore year at the earliest
whoa that’s a lot
are you trying to balance ec’s at the same time? because if your whole life is school and studying, then maybe
Im on the math team and in eco club, math team meets like once every month and eco club is for 30 mins after school every Tuesday, other than that I have no ec’s atm
ok so light ec’s like 30 minutes a week plus occasional math team comps i’d say sure do it if you know how to study and are disciplined enough
Ok thanks (: I’ve already started self studying APHUG so yea (:
I'm planning to go to a music or art college
Wdym?
So I take apwh?
I gotta ask: why do you abbreviate AP Human Geography as, "APHUG" and not, "APHG". The extra U feels insignificant.
i like say APUSH bc the class really makes me push it off a cliff
what do i do if im failing world
How’s my course rigor: Ap bio, precal, apes, Ap gov, dual enrollment english, pe, Macroeconomics, international economics, ap pysch, cooking science
Junior- shooting for Princeton/ Cornell please ping me
What classes do I take to graduate sophomore year
Talk to your school counselor about classes you need to take
We aren't going to know
I am good at bio but no interest at it. I am interested in phy, chem and math. Should I choose PCMB or PCM
same reason people abbreviate ap world as whap and not apwh it just sounds better in speech
So.. speech. Alright.
are DE classes weight mostly the same as AP? i know they arent standardized like APs but like are they viewed in the same area rigor-wise? for example would calc 1+2 in sophomore year be the same as calc BC
Should I take ab or skip to bc
Apush pr apwh what should I take?
Apush is harder
If I take AP Physics C Mechanics in 12th grade, should I take AP Biology or AP Chemistry in 11th grade
I’m in 9th grade I’m taking all honors for core classes what ap should I take next year that’s available for me? I’ll take 2 max maybe 3 and I want to get into law specifically a paralegal what should I take in the next 3 years
Ap hug is a big sophomore ap class to take
What math are you in?
Geometry honors
Cause ap pre-calc is now a thing
Also, why would you take all honors, do you hate yourself?
That’s what I was placed in and I didn’t need to change it and it’s not that hard for me at least
And I’ll be in algebra 2 next year not pre calc
I guess it depends on the school. At my school, the honors classes are just the normal ones but with mountains of homework
That’s what I’ve been told as well but I’m a freshman so
I may be wrong, but ap hug and ap euro may be the only APs you can take
I only started taking ap classes junior year
At my school as soon as you pass algebra 2 and chemistry ur able to take any ap,s above it but I’ll be taking ap worlds next year since I can
I could have taken an ap class, the school wouldn't prevent me, I just chose not to, and I wasn't high enough in the curriculum to understand really any of the stem ones
Should i do every ap i possibly can.
No
Should i also take AP human as a freshman
thanks
If you want to, then go for it
Any advantages or something
Taking AP classes show rigor, so you show that you’re willing to take a more rigorous courseload
I dont think colleges give a shit about human geo in particular but it does add to the AP resume so yeah it shows academic rigor
But if they dont really care about it and its so easy, why should i take it, rn im in world geo and have a 100 unweighted, its also weighted with 5 extra points. So would it be worth it to switch
I’m doing world as a sophomore
its grade 9 tho so the stuff is ez
Yeah, I forgot about that and gov. My school doesn't offere them so I just forgot
Hey guys can I ask about indian courses?
I have an 89 in Honors english 1 but I know it will be very very difficult to get an a in the class (teacher is extremely difficult) should i level down?
I’m taking biology this year, Honors Chemistry next year, and AP Physics C Mechanics in 12th grade. Should I take AP Chemistry or Honors Physics?
In 11th grade
Should I take a ap class if I know I can handle it?
Take ap chem, ap physics is harder, so if you can handle ap physics, you can handle chem
👍
I would know, I took ap physics c last year, and I'm taking ap chem rn, and chem is so much easier
I suggest you keep on with the challenge
W tip
but literally it’s impossible to get an a
Sorry I pretty much spam this chat but I have another question. Would it be doable to take APES, AP Stats, AP Lit (I might take the lit test, im bad at english) and AP Macro as classes? Additionally should I self study AP Micro, Psych, Comp Sci Principles and APHUG? I want to be a math professor but I also have a love for history and the workings of the world. Idk what college I wanna go to. This would be 7 AP tests. Im a junior and have never done an AP or Honors course before. Should I do this?
Im especially good at math, great at social sciences, decent at science, and not great at english
If you've never done AP this is a real big risk
Not that AP is really that difficult but you can easily get overwhelmed by all those classes if you aren't diligent
Ik its a risk, Is it worth
can someone let me know if this is a good schedule? im in 9th grade right now by the way
it's pretty good
doing good classes early
bio was hard for me and u taking chem over summer
which is good but will make future stuff hard
guys im currently a freshman doing alg 2 and im planning to skip calc ab to do multivar calc senior year, you think its a good idea?(planning to major in physics or comp sci)im pretty good at math rn and can find resources
chem in 12th grade is not a good idea with all those college apps tbh
u could move it to 11th or 10th grade
and physics c without ap phy 1 and/or 2?
in our school to get c u need ap physics 1 if not 2 also
9th is good
10th is good but i would take ap physics 1
11th grade is also good starting out with ab and good classes to get free A's on
u could either do ap phy 1 in 10th 2 in 11th and c in 12th
or just 1 in 10th and c in 11
im in ap bio and ap phy 1
its pretty doable tbh
i study only around 1-2hrs a day
just give 1000% focus in class
is my schedule good? im in 9th rn
i did alg 1 in 8th
and spanish 1
give me feedback
How many periods do you have in a day
Ah ok
it looks good
english 10?
i think the numbering system is different for ours
for us its english 1 2 ap english lang ap english lit
Interesting, ours is English 10 cause it's the sophomore class
Bye
What school do u go to
My school doesn’t offer ap pre calc yet
yo, i was just wondering if its worth going to korea to study in uni or if i should just stay in nz
Should I take AP Chem along side my required college course of History 1301 and 1302?
AP Chem is optional, but, regardless of who I ask, I always get mixed opinions on if I can or can't do it.
What courses do I take for high school freshman year in north america? I want to get into a prestigious uni, and take a few aps but I don’t want to fail and have that affect my gpa. I don’t know how many courses is normal here cuz I just moved so yeah. Please help.
If you want to, do it.
I think I’m going to take the following: Academic Maths, ap academic science, ap academic english, geography, open course business, band music, applied french. Is this good enough to get good grades and all for prestigious uni abroad with major of natural sciences?
There’s also ap maths available but i’m not sure sbout that,
Oh yeah and healthy activity living or whatever that is.
If I’m wanting to do horse photography could there be classes in high school or university related to photography?
Probably, if not though you could find like a club or smth
Ok I’ll prob email my counselor
Bang upon Aerospace Engineering 🔥
do you guys think i should study economics
If that’s something that interests you, then yes
did anyone here do econ
I’m not sure
Been doing it for a few weeks, worst subject, even after doing RE. So boring.
my school only allows 2 aps per year, so what four aps should i take (im interested in medical field)
bio and chem fs
Bio, chem and psychology and seminar or research
You can’t take research without seminar so don’t do that
Or just take seminar
I wouldn’t recommend that either
Why not?
Seminar is a step up class to research for the AP Capstone diploma
In my opinion, your time is better spent on another AP class if you’re not going to take AP research
So if I’m gonna take ap seminar, I should also take research
Imo, yes
Is college calculus good for a freshman in college
take ap human geography
I barely know anything for maps and i somehow got an 88 in the class and learned more about the maps
so its rlly beneficial
went from knowing where 1 country is to 8 :DDD
What's the difference between weighted and unweighed gpa
weighted is affected by rigor and grades
unweighted is just grades
like if you take all aps and get 100s you'll get 6.0 gpa
but if you take all honors and get 100s youll get 5.5 gpa
but unweighted for both will be 4.0
ik right
Imagine being able to say u have a 6.0 gpa
💀
I would but it’s not an option so I’m taking plain geography,
should i take an easy ap in freshman year for general education credits
or take a dual enrollment class
that relates to my extracurricular interest
(electronics engineering)
up to u
i know you can double block math, but can you also double block science, for ex. Bio and chem in one year
let me know
How do colleges recalculate gpa?
I’ve been doing some research on this but different websites say different things
Realistically, how many AP classes should I self study this year. I’ve never done an AP or Honors course before. This year I’m taking (Math 4 and 5 Honors) (precalc), APES, AP Stats, AP Macro, AP Lit (I might take the test idk) I want to major in math
Varies between colleges, I don’t think anyone really knows
And it also doesn’t really matter
You might be pushing yourself too much
Having never taken an honors or AP course before
And now you’re doing 4 AP’s
And an honors
Just smth to think abt
With our school, you can’t change your schedule 5 days into the school year, so I’m kinda stuck with it
Also I really want to do it super badly, I get really jealous of everyone else whos ahead of me I just really want to do this
Good luck 🫡
Could what I have already be too much?
What courses should it take for my junior year? (I am majoring in computer science)
You’ve never taken an honors course
And now taking on 5 AP’s
I do think it’s too much
Should I take 7 ap classes?
No
Ok, thanks (:
AP CSA/AP CSP are good AP classes for CS
Otherwise any other CS classes your school offers would be good
I am taking Csa this year though
Ap psychology, Ap environmental Science, Ap physics 2, Ap Calculus Ab, Ap Lang, Ap macro economics, Engineering, Ap chemistry, and ap Macroeconomics
For next year?
Or ap stats instead of ap chem
It’s good to take more
I and also taking Ap us history and Ap pre cal over the summer
But you don’t need to take every single one
Oh
It simply isn’t necessary
Okay
I want to get into a good college
My sister made it into mit so my parents have high expectations on me as well
Congrats to her
Not an easy thing to do
and like the double blocking for science in freshman year
is this schedule for junior year too littlr i am going to major in medicine and go the pre med route or smth like that: AP Calc BC, AP Bio, AP Lang, AP Stats, AP Econ, and maybe AP physics C
im rlly just debating if i take physics c
Idk if youll needs physics c
Take Anatomy if your school offers it
Or some other science course thats not too rigourous
Likes apes
yeahhh i see ur point but i heard that college board was gonna release AP anatomy sometime soon
Yeah im waiting for that as well
when is AP anatomy gonna be released? which semester/year (spring or fall semesters)
looking over my sophomore year courses rn, tell me if it is too much
Honors Algebra II
Honors Chemistry I
Physics I
AP World History
Cyber Systems Technology
Spanish III
AP CSP
Online courses through a county source:
English 10 Fall Semester
Economics Spring Semester
Precalculus BC summer before Junior Year
algebra 2 and chemistry should be no problem as long as you make sure to study if you don't get one of the concepts
physics is one of the harder science classes, but i think it kind of depends on the school.
i took ap world history last year. it depends on the teacher but as long as you study you should be fine
spanish 3 should be okay and ap csp is easy so it should be no problem
that schedule seems okay to me, it's just that it could be slightly overwhelming. should be fine as long as you work hard and study though! good luck :D
Fall 2024, it's currently under a pilot program in a couple dozen schools, and then thy take their AP exam in May, and then the course is released to everyone in the subsequent fall. Just like AP Precalculus was released 3 months ago
@smoky acorn
Yo thanks
No prob, it's all on the college board site
Just look it up yourself
I tried but I couldn’t find anything
There’s lots of websites on it
What’s the name of the course
I don’t believe you didn’t find anything
Is ap anatomy it
AP Human Anatomy & Physiology
Thx
They kind of don't have it set on their site, but they did announce it in spring of last year to news sources
What about mine ? I’m a sophomore too
Spanish 3
Accounting 1
AP Pre Calc
AP US history
Engineering design
AP chemistry
English 10
Self study:
AP microeconomics
During Summer:
Government
would calc 3 + college chem + college bio + anatomy/physiology be too much for first semester junior year STEM-class wise
for context i have a 100 in calc 1 rn (i never formally took bio but i'd say i have some good grounding in it) and a 95 in chem honors.
I started grade 9 this year in the usa, Came from another country. How do I get recommended for AP next year, And also tips for electives please
Try to make your electives diverse, and make sure it's thins that you like and you see yourself using
@pearl mesa can you double block science in freshman year
Ask your school counselor
@pearl mesa Any advice or tips?
Sometimes you don’t have to be recommended
