oh as in college recommended reuqirements?
yes
ok well he wants to take tennis which is a double blocked course (takes up two periods)
in general though for stem, school requirements is fine while for other majors they like 4 years
you can take french in middle school?
yeah?
?
idk bout u but for us its german, spanish, french and latin
same but only in high school
oh well my district allowed it
oh rip
we can start in 7th grade
so lets you knock out the 3 required years after freshman year
i dont have a 12 science, between chem 12 bio 12 and physics 12 which one could you realistically finish the fastest online
i wish i had taken it 😭
same man
im gonna be taking French 1 as well
spanish 2 in soph year 😔
ez
is only 1 year of lang in high school recommended
use that class to do ur hw
no pretty sure some states require 2 year for grad
imma be stuck with freshmen in class
Bro my school requires 3
whats up pingpong
If you mean foreign
same here
Hallo
ping
Hows it going
r u good at ping pong
Idk I've never played :/
-_-
Nah it's light trust🙏
Actuly idk I hear our Spanish 2 teacher is the devil incarnate
Actually

its okay i figured that out
tf is going on
ye
we tryna avoid getting banned by andrew
I was THREATENED (joke)
alr
that one dude in ecs got banned i think
we dont talk about that
ye
yessir
8th grade sucked for me 🙏
alot of adults say 7th was the best school year
My year was half COVID and half in person, so terrible
y
idk they say it was fun
7th grade wasn't the best, but it was not as bad as 8th
8th was hell
😭
best grade goes to 3rd
My teacher wanted us dead or something
Bro was beefing with 3rd graders
idk it was when i went to a shitty school that didnt care about studying
oof
This year, Mazzy was in third grade. Third grade, it turns out, is a huge growth year in school. They go from doing addition to doing long division and fractions, all in the span of one year. This was the year she started getting real homework, the year she got her first standardized tests, the year she had required recorder practice at home and the year she got access to the school web portal to log in and complete class assignments on her own.
What

This is actually me fr
it was pretty easy my school took education lightly and the people there were stupid as heck so i got into gt
is it normal for my friend to switch from CS and math to medicine in a matter of a week
no
wut
i wish i was surrounded by nerds during my elementary and middle school years
wdym
do you have any remarkable accomplishments?
like gohar
or like winning stuff like science fair
is that a big thing?
ye
whole state
what
no
then?
I hated my 7th grade
Anyone else stuck on what college course to pick?
No
w
Hello everyone! I recently completed my course selection and I selected 3 AP's to do: AP Us History, AP Seminar, and AP Computer Science A
can someone please give me a quick rundown ab out AP Seminar?
I'm a sophomore in high school who recently moved to Texas from Wisconsin. In Texas it's completely different and in my old school in Wisconsin, they didn't allow any AP courses for Freshman, which is why I feel like I'm behind on AP's over here.
bro u chose the class without knowing
dw im in texas and my school only lets freshman take 1 ap
ive not taken seminar so heres a link that apparently explains what it is https://youtu.be/meHC3pq_spY
Join Mr. and Mrs. Galusha as we walk you through the 6 College Board requirements for AP Seminar. In this video, we explain what you learn in this class and the primary tasks you will complete to earn a passing grade on the AP Seminar exam.
y’all think this a hard schedule? american studies 1 and 2 (basically a combo of apush lang), ap bio 1 and 2, calc 1 and 2, molecular bio, csp equivalent class, foundations of data science, spanish 3?
calc 1 & 2 might be difficult to pull off
apparently it’s slight at my school
Sounds good
thats fair
its really dependent on what school you go to
theres 2 ap bios?
No there’s one molecular bio
I think that’s like a specialization thing
That’s helpful to some people so I think it’s fine
oh ok
i think i forgot to ask this
whats the highestlevel of physics you can take
in AP?
In high school?
in hs
Well assuming you don’t go to a STEM high school
C i think
oh
Physics C has two different classes
what about dual enrollment
Yeah but e and m is more complex I think
it is
Same thing physics mechanics and e and m
in my experience DE tends to be lower level than ap so idk
depends ur local college
oh rip
maybe theres some sort of online courses if youre really dedicated to physics
oh
MIT OCW has their physics courses out
Just do their problem sets and recitations and watch their lectures
Three places I look for: MIT OCW, Helsinki MOOCS, Harvard OCW
sleep idiots
but theres no classes past AP phy c ?
get off the computer
I’m on my phone smarty pants
get off the phone
Get off

Shut up Mr. idk
your brain doesnt let you sleep if uve been on the screen for the last 1h i think
Or everything you grinded will go away
i heard that somewhere
Let your brain compile its memory
time to bring good habits
I barely did anything today
🙏
also cap lord unless uve ajusted to less sleep then you will forget stuff
i learned the hard way
Last question: ever since I immigrated to the US I haven’t had any 🍔 can anyone recommend where to buy them
mcdonalds
no
I want Indian lol
Yeah make them at home
Or find an international McDonald’s
yessir
And get a McAlloo tiki
alright I’m tryna gain Weight
Btw it’s provinces TICK-KEE not Teeki
I tried that
Pronounced*
I’m Indian bruh
Go sleep
alright bye
Bye
Night*
stfu
some schools expect 3+ years of foreign language- if i'm an international student that has taken 2 years of my mother tongue as a 'foreign language' and don't plan on taking any more foreign lang, will that hurt my admission chances?
If possible try to get a seal of bilateracy; Would be more official and is proof of you being able to speak 2 languages
im not from the US though
I'm Indian but my go to burger at McDeez is Triple Cheese American Chicken so fulfilling
I’m vegetarian
McD has nothing vegetarian here
should i take honors courses or no for 9th grade from Boston MA
Can’t wait to come to India and eat the aloo burgers 🍔

Ya know the yt channel Tasty has a McAloo Tikki Burger recipe
Try making one
Or do you want me to courier a burger for you?
lol sure
It might get soggy it's raining dogs and cats here
Bro Delhi bad (jk) learn more about Mumbai
lol ok
👍
Heh.. I see you like "Jelly filled Donuts"
tf
delhi is.....god knows what
mumbai has way more opportunity
more safer
more developed
and just a good quality of lifestyle
Lol
Mumbai is better for students imo
It has iit bombay
Which is one the best colleges in india
same
Even I like Delhi more
Should I double up on Science (honors bio and Chem) or take bio and AP seminar
Lmao, think ur reading skills are a bit off. Dharavi is the largest slum the in world, but i am talking about outside the slum
coming from that environment, indians and asians in general are willing to do their best in everything they do
compared to others
every race is
not really
u never said that
whats ur ev for that
i was talking about the quality of life in mumbai and you went straight to the slum part
I’m on vacation
that is not the overall lifestyle of people
can we not debate about this here? thanks.
you started this
if you dont want to discuss this
ok
we can do in dms
Let's not do this
did you check the logs?
Tbh, I would go for the science classes but that’s just me since I really like biology. I think it just overall depends on if you’re already strong on giving presentations/essays or if you’re into science classes. I found ap seminar helpful as I struggled with writing convincing arguments but I also found regular biology extremely easy, so just go with what you would rather work on

Dude please let me enjoy vacation and don't snitch on yourself
alright bye
Also, as a freshman I took geometry, and now as a sophomore they are letting me skip to precalc should I do this?
Even when I am not that comfortable with Algebra 2
I'm debating between taking AP Bio and AP chem, does anyone know what would be best for someone with limited experience in both subjects?
Yea
Thank you!
???
hell no
im doing a dual algebra 2 and precalc course rn and theyre similar
So should I take precalc
no imo
Yyyy
ap physics c has left the chat
even tho they're similar
i feel i wouldnt be able to do precalc well if i didnt know algebra 2
does ap psyc count as a social studies credit
I think so
ok
depends on what you want to do
borger had a burger pfp also
hehe
man
i hate myself
My school didn’t offer AP Chem/bio and only offered honors Chem and bio. Is it going to make a difference on my college app if I self study for the AP exams for those courses?
if you pass i think so
its a good thing ur going out of the way and self studying courses which arent offered
what are the top 3 hardest ap courses
my school puts both of the last 2 together
oh
sigh
i might be wrong about mech
I’m planning to do computer science
Instead of doubling up on science should I take an engineering course instead
AP seminar
yes yes AP CSA
AP CSP
It’s already on my list
what math u taking?
algebra 2
oh
idk i have never taken an engineering course before
But it’s somewhat related to cs so I think imma just take it
alright
I feel like doubling up on science is better for medical students
Anyone else have suggestions
Well physics is a lot similar to math and computer science has a lot of math
Rate my 2023-2024 Junior year schedule
IB English HL
IB Biology HL
IB Personal and Prof Skills
IB Maths AA HL
U.S History Honors
Operational Cyber-security
AVID 3
good
average
Woah you have a cybersecurity course
Lucky
I’m jealous
We do too
hey, does anyone know how I can sign up for ASU courses to add to my hs transcript? thanks!
Should I take AP Chem or AP CSA, I’ll likely pursue medicine but I also want to see if I like or am good at computer science so I’m not sure what to do
Take AP CSA if you're interested in computer science. In the class you will learn about java. If you plan to pursue medicine I dont think ap chem is a good choice.
if you can take both Do that. if youre interesteD in meDicine though probably ap chem, undergraD schools Dont really care if youre focuseD on meDicine that much as where you are right now is very far off from meD school so just focus on strengthening your stem course rigor. as a siDe note, i think ap chem is a gooD choice for foundational meD knowlege, i dont think meD Draws that much knowlege from chem but you will neeD some understanding to Do ochem then biochem
Could I ask if anyone has any advice on what courses(if avaliable for me) I should take in a bsc, I really want to do chem, physics, IT and maths major areas, basically STEM but I dont know how and why uni courses work
any advice on my course selection? im really stuck figuring out my junior and senior year. especially my senior year, i like science and its easy for me, but im so so bad at physics. and im really into earth science so idk if i should take it or not.
im also trying to decided between dual english and ap lit for senior
is taking 3 aps too much for a sophomore? (AP bio, AP lang, ApES) i have a 3.65 gpa currently while taking no aps freshman year 🥲
dang
From 0 to 3 and that too hard ones
should i bring it down to two?
my school offers ap lang and bio sophomore year only, then i could maybe take apes as a self study in junior year?
Pretty sure apes is an easy class
hm yeah maybe i could switch out bio with apes
dont self study a class unless its a class that will help with your major
a lot of people self-study classes like APUSH, or AP Euro or some other random non-stem class when they're going into like CS and it's so useless
the point of self-studying and taking the exam is to get the college credit for the course
also Admissions Officers just see that instead of doing something else like making a passion project, you decided to instead self-study for a class that won't even give you credit
just wanted to let you know since I see a lot of people talk abt self-studying for no reason 👍
is this a good schedule for senior year thinking bout changing cartoon/animation and wanting to enroll to more college classes outside of school
In my school they usually say advanced class, Is it like honors ?!
I’ve take honors Chem already is AP Chem worth it additionally?
Ask your school counselor
My course classes is a little bit confusing LOL
should i quit band in favor of advanced courses? it takes 2 classes worth of my schedule and the only way I can take AP classes at my school is if I double up on certain academics
*only for certain classes
**I currently only have two AP classes (one completed and one upcoming) and I plan to take more as the opportunities come (3-4 more next [junior] year)
should i try to drop french 1 and swap it for chem 1 honors (im a hs freshman and both are electives)
@cinder gorge Based on planning productively chem honors is a great choice but based on ur interest if you love french do it for your self. Choose your side.
it honestly just depends on how much you’ve invested and r willing to put into ur instrument. i like band a lot so im doing it throughout high school and my school doesn’t have strict guidelines on APs so i was able to get 3-4 APs every year with band. i know colleges like seeing dedication throughout high school so continuing band is certainly helpful, but it depends on what course you are replacing it with
if you are a stem major and r gona take smth like ap chem physics or a cs one then id say its worth it to drop band
in my school im able to take 4 band and 12 ap courses throughout high school but you gotta choose which one is of more importance to you in the future and now
Rate the schedule 1-10. I’m a sophomore
maybe u shuold hav taken more honors classes
I have never taken any advanced or honors classes I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this schedule is a good start for me currently in 11th grade starting late.
wow 1 honors in 11th and no aps, i mean if you want to get into a top school one honors and no ap classes until 11th is kinda...
Nahh not a top school at least an average college and it’s two honors
Have you ever taken honors literature is it intense?
no
Thx
is it ok not taking a language class in freshman year? and instead take it sophmore or junior year? im not sure if i should take language for 4 years or 2
i mean you could quit it after sophmore year
okay, thanks for the advice!
I am going to grade 11 in September. If I were to move to the US halfway through the year, would I have to repeat my courses or continue from where I left off from? Regardless of the location since I guess the American curriculum is the same across the country…
Only honors in my school are English 1,2,3,4 physics1 biomedical research and genetics. Biomedical research, Physics 1 and genetics don’t say honors in the name but they’re weighted 1.05
think you can continue from where you left off ive moved alot to different schools even from different states and ive been able to
im at a bit of a delema. Basically i really want to pursue olympiad math this year and make MOP and i really dont want to take APUSH or AMLIT honors (The highest courses for juniors at my school). I dont think i will have the time to do both, considering my stanford mvc class on the side, so what should i do?
i think Apush might be a bit easier for you than Aplit, also if you dontmind me asking did you jmo qual this year?
I'm just now realizing how little courses my school actually offers lol. Freshman just plain aren't allowed to take ap courses and sophomores are only allowed to take 1 (ap world history: modern), and besides that it's very difficult to actually take other courses
it's fine. When you apply to colleges, they take into account what your school offers and what you took based on that
you'll never be penalized for something out of your control
Yea ik, but it'd be nice to have more variety and to have some harder courses. I'm going to apply to ASMSA this year, which is supposed to be the best school in arkansas, and if I get in I'll have a whole host of concurrent and college classes at my disposal🙏🙏
no ive missed it by a 1-5 index the past 3 years since i didnt get much time to study lol
Has anyone done manabadi here and if so do yk if I even have to take a language class in HS?
im planning to major in business and minor in envi sci, taking apes would help tremendously but im not sure if i would get overwhelmed with three aps 😕
does anyone have experience w taking no aps freshman and trying to make up for it in sophomore year?
are there any free resources to get a quick skim at what AP c e&m is?
not like a full course
more like a sneak peak
just look up some of these topics on yt
organic chemistry tutor has some good videos
if i want to pursue my study in computer science bsc in uk,which math should i choose MAA or MAI?I am will take ib(international baccalaureate)
and i must get into top 20 university for computer science course💀
censor some stuff cause you can get doxxe
I would give it a 9
My courses has still not come out
depends on your long term goals - schools with low acceptance rates sometimes prefer it if you take 4 years so if thats your goal I would reccomend 4 years but if you aren't aiming for that kind of school then you should prioritize other classes that you might like more
Just email her
that is extremely unsettling to me, I wanna major in teaching
ive only had one male teacher
thats cap
that's a thing?
oh wait nvm education exists
Why are you worried about the gender you are and the affects of teaching? I've had plenty of male teachers dude.
^^
Ok
who was taken integrated science
was
so u didnt
what is integrated science
its like integrated chem and physics i think
In my school the only science is integrated science
Im in middle school btw
Do u think i should gske chem then ghat?
what
dont u undertsand me?
gske ghat
idk? i would take chem
y not
beg them
So at my high school you only need to take algebra 1, geometry, and trigonometry to graduate. I'm taking trigonometry in 10th grade but I think I can self study algebra 2 and maybe precalculus. Should I take calculus junior year
I guess algebra 2 and trigonometry cover a lot of the same topics
ok ty!
since i took 8th grade honors algerba 1, what math class should i take after that?
Geometry
how do i go about asking for a class change
geometry would come next, i just finished algebra 1 as well (i'm an upcoming freshman) and i'm planning to double up taking honors geometry and honors algebra 2
ok! thats what i thought lol
ty
yw
Is trigonometry kinda the same as algebra 2
No precalc
Yeah trig is usually taught with Alg II if you’re in honors and precalc if you’re in regular
Tho both cover trig
Precalc mostly focuses on polar tho
Ok thanks
I’m going to be taking precalc next year for my Junior year, is it difficult?
not really
ez
take ap bio first its easy
i did too but i got 5 on ap exam
thats why I suck
oh
it was my first ap
bruh
CSP is generally considered an easier AP class
While AP bio is generally considered a harder AP class
i think they were joking
nuh uh
are there any other options?>
Greetings, everyone!
I’m new on this server. Hi!
I just have a genuine question. I’m currently undecided on two college program choices that the college I applied to has offered me to pursue. These are the degree programs:
- Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy and International Affairs
- Bachelor of Arts in Governance and Public Affairs
May I kindly ask for relevant factors/ pro’s & con’s/ experience that could help me decide which among these two degree programs is the right decision for my bachelor’s degree?
I would greatly appreciate all your inputs!
alr
honestly i think its probably the hardest math class in high school that i took, having done calc ab/bc and ibhl math, i think its definitely a step up from algebra 2 but personally i just found stuff like polar really hard to grasp
in retrospect its not super hard but for like the content i had to do compared to where i was in my school career i probably had to try the hardest in it
Well, I'm no expert in this field, as I haven't gone to college, let alone for those degrees. But a little bit of research could give me a little bit of an idea.
Graduates of this Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy will be able to:
-
Assess emerging political trends and practices relating to international organizations and the non-governmental sectors (or actors) in view of current events and future developments.
-
Propose solutions to questions of public concern based on analysis of data and application of theories relating to International Relations.
-
Evaluate theories and concepts of International Relations and their applicability to current and historical events.
-
Critically analyze the importance of multilateralism as it relates to multiculturalism and global diversity on the practice of International Relations and Diplomacy.
-
Demonstrate a solid understanding of current and historical events that have shaped International Relations.
-
Justify the need to be aware of and respectful to ethical issues and responsible citizenship as applied in the professional context of international relations and diplomacy.
-
Integrate transferrable skills in oral and written communication, teamwork, guided learning and independent study.
-
Foster scholarship and research in advancing international relations and diplomacy.
So if you want to become a diplomat, or a politician? This might just be the way to go.
Sorry one moment
I'm grabbing the rest
Can someone estimate how many hours it would take me to do my hw every day
french is ezzz lifetime fitness and welness is basically PE and debate im cracked
apcsp a? that's a thing? Well apcsp shouldnt take that long
debate you said is easy
algebra 2 is also easy just make sure you pay attention
bio might be a little hard since theres just a lot of stuff you're going to learn and memorize
aphug is pretty bad in terms of workload. You're probably going to spend a good amount of time on it and im pretty the fail rate this year was like 52% or smth
french you said is easy
english, especially in 9th grade, is pretty easy
and pe is pe
honestly, bio, algebra, and aphug and a bit of csp is what your workload will probably come down to
how many aps should a sophomore take
AP CSP A means first semester of AP CSP
thanks
i would say 30 mins- 1 hour for the busy work everyday and then if you’ve got tests for like bio or human geo then it’ll be like 2 hours.
alright
my academic schedule for junior year is looking like:
physics honors - online
AP micro - online
APUSH - online
AP lit - in person
AP research - in person
AP calc AB -in person
apparently lit at this school is easy but can anyone let me know how my workload will be for the other classes
also should I add AP gov online or would I be asking to die by doing that
hard
not the worst I've seen, but won't be easy either
micro and apush might be the brunt.
ab really isnt that bad if you have a good teacher + pay attentioned
idk about research, but from what I'vev heard, it's not as work-loady as other classes
ok
hi, im a junior and im just wondering how much time it would take to finish the homework/how tough each of these courses are/any advice here are my classes:
us history, american lit/writ, ap phys c mech, ap stats, ap chinese, and teacher aide
sounds fucking hard lol but i havent taken them
Opinions on AP US History? I'm taking it as a course requirement. I'm also a history nerd who watches a bunch of oversimpified and Crash Course for fun.
8 periods? How long is your school day 😭
8:45 - 4:10 so about 7:25 hours
No problem!
Mines 8:20-3:15, so almost 7 hrs and we only have 6 periods, how long is each class?
its like 4 classes each day
I took geometry honors but it will depend on your school
Do you not have every class each day
I don’t have a whole lot of experience but from what I know you need to play to your strengths - don’t take classes like world history, psych, APES, and bio if you don’t have strong memorization skills
I wish 😭 I'm gonna come join ur school
my school is brand new 💀
first year
Mine doesn't even have air conditioning
idk if my school being new is a good thing tho
Is it like weird curriculum or something? Where u at?
texas
its curriculum is not weird lol
if anything its good cuz i can take many Ap classes
I wish, my school is a really small one up in Michigan. I can't take any APs till Junior year and they got rid of honors for equality 💀
I don't even know what it had to do with equality in the first place
That’s how mine works too
thats so nice
shut u literally know which school im going to
lol
...
💀
"nice" keyword is attributed to my school, therefore u doxxed a attribute of my school
WH-
lamo
lamo
Wtf is happening
idk
i was joking br0
Did anyone watch Gohar live stream a few days ago (ik this is off topic but whatever)
no
for like 10 minutes, it really took a chunk of my daily yt shorts session
Same. Did you see that channel members get top priority to answering questions. Like that one person
not relly
i was just there
I doing intro culinary arts any advice
cool
not advice 💀
lol
I’m a senior in high school
If I burn the class not my fault cause I was asking for advice
Lol
can anyone explain how dual enrollment works and how to do it?
doing a credit at a uni/college while still in high school
to do it, just talk to your guidance counsellor as the process is different for everyone
thx
I already asked this
but should I switch from world history to AP world history?
This is my first year taking any sort of AP class
im in 10th btw
Yes for many people 10th grade is when they take y mejor first ap and ap world is a very common first ap
it probably is but thats why schools there to teach you hard things, but nothing is really hard just put in the effort
I guess
I don’t think ap world is necessarily hard, it’s just a lot of work and you can’t afford to skip reading assignments. Watching Heimler would probably help you understand the big ideas though. It’s mostly about big trends but sometimes you’ll be thrown off course when they ask very specific questions 😭
this class also has lot of writing, and it has to follow a specific format the way college board wants in order to score points
uhm
I could do that
if I work really hard
I should pass with an A
alr thanks im going to ask if I can switch over to AP
alr sounds good, it would probably be a good idea to ask others who have taken the course though to get their opinions on the teacher
should I just go around my school and ask randoms?
Sorry that this is very matter of fact, but I am trying to get my point across while tired, and so I'm listing details. I'm trying to get into Ivies. I'm going to be a senior and am taking as many AP classes as possible that fit my schedule. I've already taken Spanish (4), Gov (5), WHAP (5), and Stats (?). My school is on a block schedule with 4 blocks in a day. During my first semester, I'll be taking Econ (both), Lit, Calc AB, and the fourth is the one I'm questioning. Second semester, I'm taking Chem and some required classes. For fourth block of my first semester, I am currently debating between Physics I and Psychology. Whichever one I do not take the AP for I will have to take to graduate nonetheless (so either a quarter of Honors Physics or general psychology). I want to go into school for business, but I love challenging myself. I will be busy between homework for the other classes, extracurriculars, and writing college essays, but I'm wondering which I should pick/which would colleges prefer? AP Physics is more rigorous but less relevant to my major, while AP Psych is easier and more relevant but I'm worried it's too easy to even be worth taking. Which of these would be better for me? Also, I am again sorry for the listing of information. I know it's boring to read.
I love the challenge of AP in comparison to general classes that make me want to knock my head into a wall because of how little there is to learn in them
I've been back and forth all summer on which class I want to take. Unfortunately, I can't take both because my school only has 1 or 2 blocks a year for these AP classes and some overlap
I domt think I’ve ever seen someone stress sm over such a simple decision
No offense
But take the class you like
Doesn’t matter what colleges want
Also psych is closer to your major so
Idk if I’ve ever heard, this AP class is so easy, not even worth taking bc colleges will thinks it’s not rigorous
Also smth to note, having the most rigorous course load doesn’t mean taking every AP you can
But who am I to talk, I’m taking 5 so
I am definitely one who overthinks these things. And I know it doesn't, but I do enjoy the challenge. I also don't know how to increase rigor unless it's by taking APs/DC. The only couple at my school that I'm not taking are AP Bio (which is respectable) and APES (which I have no interest in).
What major do you want
Depending on where I go, Econ or Finance, and then go on to law school for corporate law.
what courses do you guys recommend taking in high school for studying and pursuing bioinformatics/bioengineering/biotechnology?
stem
so i'd say just take whatever class you wanna take
based off interest
4 years of math, take Ap bio, computer sciences could be a good one
My issue with that is I'd love the challenge of AP Physics, and I enjoy the subject, but I also love psychology
So it’s def a personal decision
Whichever one you think you’d enjoy the content more
And from the sounds of it
It’s psychology
Should I go for gender studies?
higher acceptance rate trolololol
If you are extremely passionate in that topic then go for it. Also, I mean I'd say it's a hidden way to get higher acceptance rate. If your just doing it for that aspect then umm lol idk what to say. May I ask though what you plan to do after College?
ig, maybe upperclassmen are more likely to have taken the class?
it’s just to get an understanding of their teaching style to see if it’ll work for you, and also their sense of pacing for the course :).
no
unless your plan is to switch majors right after or smth like that
Nooooo
Ap world is fulll
😭😭😭😭😭so sad
What do you do in AP human geography
oh that’s too bad 😭
ig you could look for other aps to take or ask for any alternatives
from what I remember it was mostly about the effects humans have had on earth, like urbanization and the cultural landscape
They also talk about human patterns in settlement, population, and culture
oops
oh
thats not too bad
yea I took it as a freshman
oh
So it may have been harder to me than if you were to take it later on
oh
it’s also heavy on big trends too
like apwh
but it’s not too bad once u get the hang of it
What's courses should I take ( I wanna do either medicine or cs)
just take the harDest courses your school has
principals of biomedical science
Health science theory
AP Chem bio
ap comp sci a and principles
yes
thats the point
interesting
i am taking ap bio and apes jr and sr year what is the best order to take it in
ez
Funny thing about ap bio. How hard would it be to self study ap bio in 90 days and get a 4 or 5
no one knows unless someone actually did it
and i would be surprised if they replied to that
no shit
Hard
Not impossible if you really dedicate
But theres so much content ap bio covers
To do ur mom
Lmao
funny how u found that funny
so 10th grade im taking, Geo, physical science, us histroy, carrer connections, french 3 H, english
i asked for honor geo and chem, but counsler aint respoding
hmm decent
Can u not take an AP
i could but im nervous man
i havnt taken honor classes not a single time
and ap I think is gonna be worse
and with my studying I suck at it, when its testing time I forgot everything
although i have been using gohar for studying tips 😄
Thaa pretty good tho
take it slow then
U could try to take 1 AP or maybe 2 easier ones in a year
which are easy cus idk if i could take them somphore
although im pretty sure u can usally
what if im like on my college essay, I got a B in biology, so i took honor and ap classes because I was not able to accept the pain of that B
lmao thanks
i cant take any ap somehpore year i just saw
unless i ask my counlser but idk
nice colleges will consider that
really?
prepare yourself for AP next year tho
wait
uh If they are offered u should take them but if u can’t handle it then go slow
are honor classes hard
or just time consuming
wait capu
im doing html rn
for an extra curricular
what u think bouta dat
Time consuming imo
Good start!
thanks im doing css rn

Oh ok
I live really close to there but I go to a diff school because of the frisco border
I’m trying to debate what classes I should take this year (senior year). I’ve only taken one AP before, and this year I’m taking AP psych, but also am debating on taking AP comp sci A and AP pre calc?? Thoughts??
ap precalc not that hard if u did well in algebra 2 just complex numbers conics etc random shit
Go for it
Your school probably has a policy that if you can’t handle the workload after trying it you can switch some stuff
But I think you will b able to
I just think with senioritous and also just like the workload bc I have an internship I have to wake up early for, lots of EC’s and other courses so idk. I’ve taken a year of computer science non AP though, so comp shouldn’t be hard right?
Hi
honors computer science 1?
capu why u always here lol
it aint?
i did pretty well algebra 2
no life
I mean u never in general
ehh im doing an mixed honors algebra 2 and precalculus course
I never did honor alg 2
which is hard but its only hard because it is based on competitive math
general chat isnt worth the time talking about random shit and saying hi and how are you again and again
@everyone khan academy is so good i love sal khan
imagine life without khan academy 🙏
it doesnt ping anyone
ik lol
Doesn’t even do anything
is it?
should i use it for my classes i i dont know nothing

What courses and Major should i do if i wanna become a neurosurgeon

I am not asking him tho i thought someone who know will reply
neurosergueology
Will neuroscience be helpfull
I think it will be helpful
K
I’m from California
hm okay
You have a friend that is also name Leo
What courses should I select for physics
physics
There are courses for physics?
Lol yeah but what maths
algebra 1 and 2, precalc, and ap calc ab and bc
Thanks
Would geometry still have to count if it’s in the graduation requirements for you? If yes, then take that as well.
to take geometry you need to have algebra 1 so ye and to take alg 2 you need geometry
K you will need geometry as well then
hii! i'm a rising junior and this is what i'm taking this year!! i'm thinking abt going into sports medicine :) lmk what u guys think, thanks!!!!!
advanced english electives
advanced government and politics
advanced calc 1 (equivalent to ap calc ab)
physics
advanced chemistry
honors french 4
world religions (first semester)
advanced classes go beyond the ap curriculum and i do have the choice of taking the ap exam if i wanted to
I need advice going enter freshman 9th and am going for like a criminal Justice or “CIA” path for now so idk what classes should I take or ap classes that can help me

i want to try to finish in a month
waht the fuck
bro wants to do the hardest ap course as a 7th grader in a month
pure motivation 🙏
...
I will try to do AP English Lit If English 4 is easy
Yo if I’m tryna major in CS is it recommended to take physics c?
u dont have to take it
But would it help tho if I’m tryna get into t20 cs schools
its hard to say but taking difficult classes is a good thing ig
but it wont make a lot of impact
Bet thx dude
how many ap classes and/or honor classes should i take durring highschool?
thatll maybe impress college admission idk
Typically, you want to take the same or a little more than your peers
Some websites say anywhere from 8-12
But that could be limited depending on your school
So it's really situational
ok ty!
People im about to get into highschool and am unsure what to course to pick from engineering, medical, Accounting (commerce)
I looked into a couple articles but all were mostly divided 50 50 between engineering and accounting
For my futures sake i need a job that could pay reasonable, provide decent living standards for me and my future family inshallah.
Any suggestions on which course and field in it that could help me accomplish those goals?
IT is an option to
depending on your school
Well considering you’re going into high school, you still have a few years to choose what job you wanna do
You Can take classes related to each
To see which you really like
Bc articles and the real deal are two very separate things
Hey. I’m in my senior year of high school and I’ve noticed I’m into genetics. I thought of pursuing genetic engineering because the technology will be massive by 2040 probably, but my priority is a reliable job with adequate opportunities and well paying. Should i go for it?
go for it, looks like you’re interested in it
Try to see if they any dual enrollment classes for that
I’m afraid I’ll have a hard time finding a job
i know the demand for biomedical engineers is high but i dont know about genetic engineering specifically, you should try it though
i am really into psychology and i was wondering if i should major in it? Most people tell me i shouldnt unless i will study beyond just a bachlors.
Yeah so i live in a developing country so highschool is treated as just simple school, i cant pick and sit in different classes what course i pick teachers will come teach me that course specific subjects
But i guess since i have a couple years left ill see what im liking
You can always study by yourself since you cant in school. I found some recent graduates who gave me their university textbooks for free. Maybe start/join a club at school.
I'd say throughout the next few years, whatever is possible class-wise. Try to learn about each of your interests. Career fairs or just talking to someone in the field can help to give you a better understanding of what you'd be going into. College is also a good time to find out what you're interested in, taking a variety of classes your freshman year then you can declare your major your sophomore year of college (in the US at least)
Medical suits more to your needs for your future as you mentioned. Though working in medical is really stressful and you may have less time to bond with your family.
I heard med schools love humanity majors idk
Or at least it doesn’t hurt you or anything
Yeah, just make sure to take the pre-med requisites
Any major is fine as long as you take the courses the med school is asking for
The courses you'd need to take depends on the school and its location
For example, here in the US, each state does things differently, so what Harvard requires can be not enough for what Columbia requires.
Might need an extra lab or course in biochem idk
Take the major that interests you
And do the pre med reqs as stated above
Heyy there. So when planning for my 4-year schedule, in my senior year i have the option to take Mobile App dev(Not honor or accelerated) in my school. But I'm conflicted if taking a AP french or stat is better than App dev as i get college credit and a higher gpa; or does it look good if i take the App dev in senior year , though i can't show any projects on it . Let me know your take on this. Ty !
I need help trying to figure out if I should take AP comp sci or not, I’m a senior in high school and I’m only taking one AP rn, and last year I took only one too. Should I take it?
I heard about a kid from my high school who completed AP calculus and the rest of his math classes in sophomore year and starting in junior he got a free 40 minutes period and he logged onto zoom and took official online Stanford classes (from a real professor)
Can someone confirm if it’s possible to do this
And how I can get on a path to do so
And should I consult my guidance counselor about this
It’s a relatively easy class, also fun, good intro to o outer related topics like how the internet works, how emails are sent etc
1st- Honors English 10
2nd- AP Biology
3rd- Honors Algebra 2
4th- Advanced Acting
5th- AP European History
6th- Digital Literacy
My schedule
honors english 10 this man is 10 universes ahead of us
I be like that
lol
The only one avalible is comp sci A though
I say you should still go for it
do you plan to go into CS?
No I don’t
I plan on doing engineering
I’ve also taken a year of comp sci already, two intro classes
CSA is a good intro class, I rlly enjoyed it even tho I’m not going into CS
opinions on this course selection?
here is my course selection from last year
also I'm planning to take these APs this year:
School:
- Calculus BC
- World History: Modern
Self: - Precalculus
- Computer Science Principles
- Biology
- Physics 1
AP calc in 10th grade?
Lol yeah
how is that even possible??
did u self study algebra 1 & 2? Or take them in middle school?
what happened to PRECALC LMAO
I don't think you should skip it
Alg 1 in 7th
Geo in 8th
Alg 2 summer
Precalc 9th
And now BC
oh ok
pretty average ngl
Yeah for a senior
Lol
pretty average for soph ngl
What’s there to take after calc
You should look at @daring jay 's math
These are college classes damn
ez
I'll take stats and mvc junior
senior?
breh just take stats in senior ez
Nah
From what I’ve heard, AP stats is pretty easy
What’s your schedule next year?
idk
💀
- but probably ap precalculus or calc ab or calc bc (if i self study precalc for AIME)
- honors chem or ap bio
- uhhh ap stats
I just took honors bio last year and it seems like there isn't too much more for me to self study to take the AP
explain in simple words
im taking honors bio this year
If you self study a class, does that count as a prerequisite in your school?
And I'll take the precalculus AP just because
same
Yeah
if u get a 3+ on the exam
3 or more
If you do good at least
MIT and Ivies
stanford and mit and ivies
I don't feel like going to CA
U guys have a decent chance on getting in lol
I live in NY so
only in terms of academia
Right
my ECs and awards are shit
