lol, true true
True true
I took Honors Physics, how hard will AP Physics 1 be?
Pretty hard definitely more notes
Not horrible, tho I would highly recommend studying for the AP exam LOl
Would it look bad if my math course was AP Calc AB for senior year, my major is computer science, and I'm aiming for a top school in my state/even in the whole US?
omg what
I know lol
It’s not actually true
Lol
thats funny though, prayers to IB kids
ur fine
ib is like ap but harder imo
Prayers to all kids suffering in a mentally draining school system: )
and ap isnt that hard imo
@ebon field would you agree with this?
ty Chrix
Semi, I guess
u do both?
is 5 projected honors courses, 9 projected AP courses, and 1 projected DE/college course enough to qualify for one of the top 20 universities? i also have a plethora of extracurriculars (volleyball, band, volunteering, work, etc.)
Damn that’s a lot-
Hello
Yeah it’s possible to do both
I do 7 IB classes and then have a spot for one ap soph
Junior I got only one
And senior I have opening for 3
Ontop of the ib diploma, but it’s probably different for everyone
no
well first we need to know what ur school requirements are
like at our school AP CSA counts as a math credit
does anyone have a study guide for honors chem
honors isn’t standard lol
you won’t find anything
each school is different
Is honors geometry hard, I’m going into my freshman year and I’m worried because I didn’t take normal geometry. In 8th grade I took algebra 1 and I’m scared I won’t know anything about geometry
Oh wow, damn- next semester I’m taking 4 PIB classes, one IB class and one AP😃😭
not really. i took geo in 8th and it was a breeze. only tedious thing would maybe be proofs
Okay, tysm
honestly, a lot of it is just algebra applied to shapes
it's different everywhere, so do you only have 5 classes?
How it works in my area is that the program isn’t the entire school, there is still normal school classes you can take while being in the IB program, so usually 4-5 PIB or IB classes
4 pib classes + 1 ib class + 1 AP = 6?
what?
huh
oh thats kind of similar -- the IB part of our school is only around 250~ students (all grades), while the rest almost 2 thousand are other programs/regular AP course kids
did i say anything wrong
but we can only take IB classes and if we have open elective spots, any class we want
Yeah!
no im just confused what you meant lol
"so do you only have 5 classes?"
Ohhh, we can take normal “fun” classes
APs?
ITS SUMMEERR
Yeah I guess, but, we can take Band, engineering, ferensics, etc
Fun classes
cool
I am also taking honors geometry for freshman year. and I am studying geometry over the summer to make life easier for high school. Don't worry, it's just a bunch of postulates and theorems. (Atleast for me right now), I have studied 5 units.
It’s okay, you’ll be alright no worries
Proofs are the worst
I’m entering my sophomore year and is it better to take AP pre-cal or normal pre-cal
Depending on your strength in the topic, but if you are proficient and have confidence in your ability, you should take AP.
Okay thank you
Usually people who go to top 20 schools take over 10 APs. By the end of my high school I would have taken 12 APs and 5 Honors. It also depends on how good you are in your extracurriculars. The amount doesn't matter unless you have done well in all of them.
where did u get that data from?
my school doesnt offer 10 aps, i know kids who have gotten into mit, harvard, jhu, etc.
thats fine, colleges know ur situation
a lot of it comes down to what your school offers, but there is no cut off for what t20 schools consider a rigorous scheudle
Technically, ur college doesnt consider that; ur hs coucler does
point still stands
ap
Thats usual though, at my school the people who go to t20s only really take 2 or 3
How
college apps dont work as the way u think they work
Wdym
it means that u dont know how college apps work
How do they
i aint got time to explain every little step
u gotta research that
it'll take me hours just to explain a little bit
Alright
lmao this guy reminds me of borger
oh i just looked up his name
looks like im not the only one who thinks that
Who’s borger
Assuming he deserved it
What’s the harm a dude named borger can do
no he was
the worst
like bro would fight me about literally everything
borger was worse i promise
Reddit user?
idk maybe
guys im confused about ap classes
ik you take classes that match your interest in what you want to major in
but why take ap classes that aren't what you want to major in? like what gohar did?
ge credits, weighted gpa, etc
rigor, etc
Calc just helps with a lot of things
What courses should you do as a cs major?
Is taking Algebra 2 and Pre-calculus concurrently a good idea if you're decent at math?
aint alg 2 a pre req for pre calc?
Yeah, my friends took Geometry and Algebra 2 concurrently, and they were fine even tho Geometry is a pre req for Algebra 2
I do plan to self-study Algebra 2 before taking precalc though, if i do end up doing that
does it matter?
but r u gonna pass?
cuz last time i remeber, u gotta take the test if u wanna do precalc
Idk, I'm going to have to check with my counselor
I could also do a placement test for Algebra 2, but that's probably not the best idea.
please elaborate
what is there to eleborate on
thats it
unless u have questions; feel free to ask
specific questions
Oh that’s so interesting, they placed ppl in Alg 2 at my school that never took Geomtry🗿
hey did anyone here do gcses
I did IGCSEs which is pretty close
So basically I plan on going to Cornell as my brother went there and he gave 14 gcses and I also want to give 14 subjects
8 are mandatory and 6 additional subjects
I m having trouble choosing in between them
The additionals
Your brother didn't do A levels? 14 subjects is straight up excessive
He did do as
Yes exactly
If you're doing A levels you really only need 9 GCSE subjects, your A level grades or predicted grades are a more important factor
Maybe you could push it to 10-11 subjects, but past that feels pointless if your sole reason is for college entry
Yes
I actually live in Pakistan and we have 3 subjects inter related
By that I mean subjects that are mandatory in the countr
Which are?
Okay so you really don't need 14 GCSEs then to begin with, I'd stay around 8-10
So what subjects do you currently have in mind that u wanna pick
Sociology and environmental management
Do you have an idea of what you're going to study in university?
Probably business or economics
Oh yes
The weird thing is I m giving business as an additional subject in o levels
Okay so let's try lay it out, to start with you need to take:
Pakistan studies
Urdu
Islamiat
As they're compulsory right?
You'll likely also need to take:
Maths
English Language
So that's 5 subjects down:
Because you wanna econs or business major it's highly preferable you study one of the two (or both).
Additional maths would also be advised if you're doing econs as it transfers to A level maths too
I'd probably recommend picking atleast one science to keep things a bit open, from there you kinda have freedom on what to pick
There are 8 mandatory subjects here which include maths , English, pak studies, Islamiat, Urdu, and 3 subjects which you choose and I choose sciences because the business subjects aren’t really catered here and my brother also did the same . So 8 subjects and 4 additionals which include adds math, business ,sociology and economics or environmental management
Hmm you're doing all 3 sciences?
Yes unfortunately
All my siblings did the same and they told me that you can do a level (business) subjects without the need of o level
Hmm honestly if you do everything you just mentioned it sounds pretty good, sociology and environmental management are less popular subjects so potentially may not have as much significance in an app compared to let's say English lit or history but it should work
World history?
Okay
And given you have the option space, I'd keep business anyway
Yeah, just any of the more popular analysis or social science based subjects
Aside from good academics, it's mostly down to just extracurriculars and a strong interest shown in what you want to do
Okay
A diversified subject choice can be useful, like a mix of arts, sciences, maths, sports etc, but that's not necessary if that's covered in your extracurriculars
Np I'm just happy to be able to help, I hope things end up well, and make sure to possibly recheck your subject choices with teachers and maybe your siblings (particularly probe your siblings for specific advice and reasons behind stuff if you can)
Definitely will do
Should I do Dual Enrollment even though I'm not going in-state for college
is ap physics C weighed heavily in college admisson if i want to be an engineer/scientist, because i had no goals what i wanted to do my freshman and sophomore year, and because of that i will only be able to get through ap physics B at the end of my senior year smh
uhh sure but for certain courses if ap is available do that
although it is def better to enroll in more difficult courses, i think you will be fine w/ a physics B in your case
not required by any means, but certainly helps
physics is pretty important in engineerings
but any sort of introduction to physics will be fine if you cant do C
guys what APs should i take for CS and ML in college? It's my freshman year right now.
AP CSA and AP CSP
if you really wanna learn ML you can learn it online
CSA, CSP
also like Cappucino said, you can learn ML online
but know that ML is a really deep field that uses a lot of advanced math, what you can learn online really only touches the tip of what you'll get in an actual CS degree
what about those 40 y/o people who change careers from retail to informational technologies from online courses
Hi
ML and AI now is really hard to get into without a PHD due to all of its hype
it is possible for someone like a highschooler to learn, but to actually build advanced things like neural networks, etc. It's pretty hard
Summer school is almost done for today
how many hours does it take to learn geometry? (i know it depends on the person but just assume im the above average "indian" learner)
i've been doing this geometry course and i feel its going too fast and im not covering concepts in depth
sorry, like what is ge credit, how does it affect gpa
heading into HS next year, skipped 9th. i placed into calculus, but guidance counselor recommended i take trig. only concepts im missing from that class (i found the information on it online) are polar coordinates and solving trig equations (not sinusoidal, more like cscx+3tanx = sinxcosx). should i relearn the material next year or put in some extra work this summer to take calc next year? (it is a calc 1 class, not AP bc high school doesnt offer)
^^ are the concepts im missing even that important to calc 1? i have been studying some of it online and have yet to encounter polar coordinates, not even in integration. my calculus (not algebra) skills are not as polished as my trigonometry tho
is it like a prep course or are you taking it for credit
bc honestly like 85% of geometry you will never use in any other math class later
besides trig
and you should be good with circles ig
my school, other schools, people ive talked too. the people i know who have gotten into good schools like ivys and jhu and northwestern and stuff have taken over 10 APs, maybe somewhere out there there are people who take less and still get admitted, but thats because they have done insane things outside of school to make up for it.
yeah i think most schools over more than that. but the good thing is is that colleges look at what you do with what ur given, so like the other guy said, they know ur situation.
is it okay to take 15 aps in high school? i'm going to a high school for science and technology so it has like 30 aps and at least 15 post-aps
also how do people self-study to skip courses
im not sure what that means but im taking it so i can be in algebra 2 in 9th grade
i have never taken it before
alr but i have to pass the Credit by Exam
tbh, if you're already very strong in math, i'd say 30-40 hours in total.
(that is, introductory geometry)
yeah if you pace yourself well and plan out everything so it works, you can do it with no problem
okay
subjective as it's my opinion but i think it's somewhat accurate..
i think that includes instructional time
but i had a friend who learned Algebra 1 in 40-50 hours i believe
like if you're in a class setting
yeah
is geometry any harder than algebra 1
great, you got this
thanks buddy :)
yea ok that's what i meant by credit
you'll be fine bro
i did the exact same thing last year
geometry over the summer with final exam
Is it okay if my extracurricular for medicine are all over the place? Like I’m doing an internship for an ophthalmologist, writing research papers about immunology and bioengineering and doing a project with ML + medicine?
Which course is better to take AP Psych or AP Human Geography for a senior in high school?
I would say it could depend on your major, but if you're a senior, just take whichever one you want/the one that won't cause the most stress
I'm taking AP Human Geo cause my brother said it was a lot of fun. But it depends on what you are doing in the future, like your career, whichever one is closer to your major you should take.
It's completely fine, only if you can handle it. It's a good amount and it might be pretty tough. You don't want to overload and get B's in all the classes. If you think you can handle it and safely get A's in all of them (maybe a B here and there? Try not to).
I want to go into environmental engineering so I'm leaning torwards taking AP Human Geo over psych
Makes sense thx
Oh wow I'm also doing enviromental engineering. I'm taking AP Human Geo so you might want to as well.
Nice!
I feel like there aren't that many people who want to go into environmental engineering
so it's pretty cool to meet someone who also wants to go into that field
I know right? Looks like most of our future will probably be focused on that field so would be a nice field to go into.
mhm
Can anyone give me a brief overview of what you learn in AP Seminar and Research and which one would be more useful?
Yeah, honestly it makes more sense to take Algebra 1, Algebra 2, then Geometry but they force you to take geometry 1st, or concurrently with algebra 2 -
Oof that sucks🥲
How hard is algebra 2?
Mhm, and then 2 years later when you jump right back into algebra 2 you have to remembr everything in algebra 1 💀
ima be honest it was pretty easy
you can take it without ever taking algebra 1 (i did thanks to some funny covid circumstances) and still follow along real nicely
get used to lots of graphs tho
Ok, that's nice to hear. Algebra 1 was a breeze, and I plan to self-study Algebra 2 using Khan Academy or something. I'll either take an EA (Exam for Acceleration) Test for Algebra 2, or take it concurrently with precalculus for 10th if it's allowed at my school. I THINK I'll be fine, lol. I just need to check with my counselor once she starts taking emails during the summer. Thank you!
Does anyone here know the differences between IB Chemsitry SL and AP Chemistry (coursework) because I am taking IB Chem next year and want to take the AP Chem exam if possible.
How can I get ready for algebra 2/ap pre cal
I want an A in both of these but don’t know where to start preparing from
decent
ru bad at math
I mean I’m pretty decent. I got a 5 on my geometry eoc
Idk why but I don’t perform well at reading but do good in math lol
whats eoc
I just wanna get ready for the sat
Oh that's interesting, I didn't know we get our EOC scores like that, I thought it was a percentage out of 100. Is 5 the best score, like how AP exams are graded from a scale from 1 to 5?
Let me know how taking both of those courses go for you, I'm considering that.
Ye it’s scored like ap . I kinda wished it was 1/100 just Bec thats what it normally is but the state of Fl always wanna grade weird lol
Fs. I’m going into sophomore year and the course is
Algebra 2
AP Pre Calculus
I’ll lyk how it goes
okay, tysm I really appreciate it!
Np
Do the certificates of online courses make a difference?
They shouldn’t
they do.
im in an ib sch rn, and im planning to do HL math aa; HL bio; HL econ or chem; SL chem or econ; SL langlit; SL french
but my teacher is telling me i cant take SL french and that I MUST take HL french
how could i deal w this situation D:
like hl french is lowk going to ruin my college apps... but our sch doesnt allow 4 HLs
if my desired major is somewhere around math/bio/chem, but i showed high capability in french through other exams such as certifications and competitions, do you think its worth taking HL french??
like could french be my "spike" even if its kinda irrelevant from math and stuff?
if youre talking about like the ones from like xyz prestigious university for random bs courses, then not really. all they really indicate is that you have the money to pay for those certificates
im not sure what you really mean though so idk
college apps?
They (probably) will not care a lot
but if you're applying to jobs, or just putting them on your personal resume, they might look good depending on what the course is/how rigorous it is
In a few months, I’ll be choosing my ib subjects — I’m thinking of taking HL Maths AA, Chem, and Physics, and most people I’ve consulted have advised me against it due to the difficulty of the courses. I’m hoping to get some insight from more experienced people, though, so I guess my question is: do you think I’d survive ib with those choices?
yes job
A double science and a hard math? I’m only in PIB rn but that seems like a lot, but if you work hard I bet you’ll be fine
Really depends on how much you like these subjects and how much knowledge you already have or time you are willing to sacrifice
(I’m doing the same thing except my school requires English HL as wel)
Same, same, I hate how my school requires HL English😒
hey i was wondering if anyone had any experience with ap chemistry and could maybe give some insight on how hard it is and whether it's advisable to take it as a sophomore?
Hey I had a question, I want to study in England and I’m wondering if AP’s matter there as an international student from Canada? Im also wondering about how hard AP physics, chemistry, and biology would be if I took them all?
How much studying will I need if im taking all PiB/Ap/Weighted classes freshman year
No normal classes other than this weird one called advisory that everyone has to take
Depends on the classes, taking AP computer science principles would most likely require less studying than APUSH and advisory is similar to a home room class but not exactly. There’s no exact course regimen for those classes.
if youre taking all like accelerated courses, it also depends on your study habit, i would dedicate at least 2 or 3 hours in total
but i dont know which ones they are and how your study habits are
Thank you : ) I’m hoping it’ll be manageable with the right amount of work TT
I enjoy the sciences lots — chemistry, in particular! I’ve covered about a third of the chem course so with any luck I won’t have too much trouble come the time I actually take it, but I’m more worried about physics, as it is a notoriously difficult course . I am willing to put in whatever time and effort needed, but even so physics seems really intimidating @@
i'm the same except im worried about chem because i love physics LMAO
in that case it should be fine, physics isn't really about the formulae but the basic knowledge you need to understand
if you can derive most of the formula sheet you'll be fine
no
the certificate u get is worth the same if u do it online or irl
like if i got an emt certificate online it dont matter as long as u dont cheat
consider ib
If ib is unavailable to me at the moment, would I be at a great disadvantage?
y would it?
does it matter?
i dont even know what the question even means
Ib is quite far from where I live and I’m wondering if it’s worth it to go there
thats for u to dictate
Like would it be a big advantage…
True true
idk, i dont do ib
theres no reason for me to do ib lol
What alternative academic proofs do you have?
Nothing much? just AP’s that are available
What other academic proofs could there be?
cc
Standardized exams (SAT, ACT…), any other internationally applicable curriculum (e.g. Cambridge), national exams
In an acquaintance’s experience (Cornell & Brown admitted I believe), they only submitted their national exams & regular school transcript + SAT’s, and that worked fine for them
Same as most of the people from my school taking the Cambridge international AS/A levels, had to apply with our regular academic transcripts with IELTS/TOEFL/SAT supplements since all our other results came months late
Not having any int’l academic proofs would be a disadvantage especially if the uni isn’t familiar with your country’s grading system and general academic rigor though
Ah I see I see
I think they’d be a bit familiar since I’m from Canada?
We’ve got the national literacy and math exams, IELTS, SAT, ACT, and AP’s
Ah then that definitely works better. My bad lmao I was speaking from a more developing country perspective
Nonono I understand, thanks for the help!!!!
I’d just take all the exams I can 👍
That was similar to what I was thinking, thank you so much for the advice!
I see I see, thank you!
the ideal curriculum for england schs would prob be ib/a level
try considering a level because i heard its relatively easy!
i heard its ib > ap > a level from hardest to easiest
Ah I see I see
Really? How is it possible to take an a level in Canada?
Ah I see thanks!
are you currently attending an ap school?
No, I attend a public high school that offers them
whats a ap school?
like as in a school that offers ap classes
Oh yeah I do then
ah i think you could just focus on aps then!
british unis consider aps equivalent to a levels
Ah I see!!! Thank you so much!!!!
good luck!!
Thanks!!! Good luck to you too!!!
it doesnt matter
it doesnt matter if its ap,ib,alevel, etc
Ah, they consider it all of the same level of importance?
they should consider it the same rigor level
Ah I see, thanks :)))
Um, you could do that here
Though, is IB or AP better for colleges? And. how do I take IB?
I've been ruminating on this topic for a while, so here goes.
I have the opportunity to earn 5 Associate's Degrees in areas like Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Psychology, etc., but I also have the possibility of earning a Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics and Programming. These degree(s) will be from my state's community colleges.
It'd certainly be a feat to get a Bachelor's Degree, and I worry that the 5 Associate's would seem unfocused. I feel like the artificial intelligence degree in particular, however, is a lot more "cutting edge" and opens me up to more possibilities than something relatively static like data analytics and programming. Should I dive deep into the Bachelor's Degree and attain a full undergraduate education on a topic, or get a foundational two-year base on the topics covered in my Associate's Degrees?
This will be done before my high school graduation, so ideally I should come to a decision before the fall semester starts anew.
It is very helpful in terms of college admission
but pretty rigorous as well
the first 2 years aren't that bad (IBMYP)
but the last two, IBDP is pretty rigorous
but the acceptance rates for most uni's for IB students is statistically 10-20% higher
The rigor is the same, but the acceptance rates are different atleast here in America
since more people take APs as opposed to IB, IB acceptance rates here in the USA are higher than normal for most colleges
and this is what I've found with a bit of research
but note that this data obviously doesn't paint a full picture
but if you're wondering whether IB is worth it -- personally, I think it is if you're ready for the rigor
If my school doesn’t offer IB how are some other ways I could take it
Unless there isn’t
you can always audit them, but thats kinda difficult, does your school allow ap
there probably isn't a way unless you can transfer to a school that does do IB
as Pete said, you could always audit, but I've heard it's pretty hard/almost impossible
Yea it has AP
Omg thanks! I am a hard working student and I think I could do it if I was at an ib school. I’ll definitely consider it, these stats really help thanks
Not planning on going to America but the stats really help paint a picture for how helpful it is
i dont want to stress you at all, but i just want to warn you an ib student myself too; if youre planning to take the ibdp curriculum... it is very hard and tiring, but im sure itll be worth it! i just wanted to warn you in case of sudden, unexpected burnouts that come commonly during junior year... it might be difficult balancing your school work and ECs
I see, thank you for the concern and I appreciate the warning. If I (hopefully) do end up taking ib, I will definitely take your words into consideration and try to make sure it doesn’t happen.
Freshman year schedule, after talking to my guidance counselor and a bunch of changes this is what I'm thinking about doing,
Honors algebra 2
Honors English 1
Honors world history
Honors biology
Choir
Italian 1
AP computer science A
PE
A lot of people start off as just generic physics majors and then later specialize in astrophysics. Doing engineering physics would give you the background to go to grad school for astrophysics if that's what you're interested. But it would also give you engineering. You can also major in engineering minor in astronomy or physics and go to grad school for astronomy or astrophysics. Usually you can't do anything with an astrophysics degree until you get a high level degree so going for engineering first would be better. You could also double major but that would be difficult
I'm sure there's stats out there somewhere. IB is just an international thing which is really popular all throughout mainly the middle-east and asia
How would I audit?
but it's a whole thing you're going to have to do with your school and probably get administrators involved
I personally have no idea how the whole process works since you're basically asking your school to have an IB program
it's probably too late, and I think this is something only administrators can do (I believe?). Not sure on the entire process
Well, I’m a sophomore now
So I have around a year
Since this program is directed towards juniors and seniors right?
I know some schools in my district already have IB just unfortunately not the one I currently attend
^
The program normally starts in freshman year of hs
freshman and sophomore years are known as the "MYP or Middle Years Program"
you normally take PIB (pre IB) classes then
then it ramps up to IBDP (IB Diploma Program) in junior and senior
ok, but how did they do the survey?
cuz if u get a survey from the majority of schools having ib, then thats not really a fair survey yk
Survey was done by using data from the actual IB place
I've looked at other statistics, and this one seems to be the only legit/valuable survey I know when it comes to IB acceptance rates
the actual dedicated data page on the IB site is deleted now, but the data is pretty accurate
note that this was a year or two ago
but the IB program still helps your college chances a lot
whats the confidence level
or margain of error
cuz they can claim all this but if their margain of error is like 90% then what they say is useless
It was a pretty low margin of error, the full website was linkedin the pdf, it seemed to have been deleted though
i would like to do the math
Here's a more detailed one:
data-wise, there's more to go off of
this one was a while back though
Alright, here's some info I found about that first survey you saw:
It was conducted by the IBO and International Insight Research Group so let's hope that they had some sort of method in place to double-check candidate responses.
According to this the DP coordinator from each school opted in to take the survey so all students of that particular school had to respond (https://www.ibo.org/contentassets/12ca22e438df4a65b4c92e42b70b10ea/globaldpdestinationsurveyus.pdf). But again all surveys have biases so it should be taken with a grain of salt.
Most schools let you double major in whatever you want. Just find a school that lets you double major in general and then you can do it.
then i would 100% take AP classes, its going to be an actual curriculum instead of you auditing a class. AP and IB are very similar as well
what do you all think of taking ap comp science in freshman year?
if u want to do cs then go for it
the thing is
im interested in electrical engineering but there are only honors courses for it at our school
not ap
in short i don't want to do cs but i heard it is useful for electrical engineering
then take it yeah
i dont really know anything about electrical engineering but if it would help for that major then do it
get it out of the way freshman year
then u can do the honors courses later on
thanks
Hey im still having issues choosing between General Psychology and AP Psychology (I know I keep asking but I want to hear anyone/everyone's opinions). I would be taking AP Lang and AP Studio Art as well as Anatomy. I would also be involved in many extra curriculurs. I've heard that Anatomy AND AP Psychology is hell..
Should I apply undecided if my courses do not match with my intended major? (I can’t take my schools new engineering courses, nor can I take multi variable calculus due to space).
idk if this AT ALL helps, but i literally studied ap psych in 2 weeks right before the exam (self studied it) and i got a 5 on the exam with absolutely no prior knowledge so in that case i dont think psych should be too hard to manage along with your other classes
its just hella vocab but a lot of the vocab is kinda common sense like you can infer what it means
i guess main thing is to know people which can take time to remember
aren't Anatomy and AP Psychology vocab easy to mix up??
so Psych isn't hard?
Psych is light from what I heard
Like it’s comparable to APES I think
phych is do-able if u have a good background
hm
but do you guys recommend two sciences at the same time?
like do they go hand in hand??
soo if an entire school staff doesnt recommend doing a program Should u listen even if others have excelled in it?
depends
cuz im doing like 5
good question
woah
you don't have to take an ap class to take the test right? so do you all recommend i study for ap comp science a and take the test or just do dual enrollment?
Comp principles I would do idk about comp sci a difficulty
Just depends to self study based on difficulty
So is it worth taking AP Psychology instead of General Psychology??
First time applying for uni here. Is it worth reaching out to someone at the uni if a course is restricted to people in a specific program to see if you can get in out of pure interest in the subject?
I can try to rephrase that if it doesn’t make sense
What about if your university has 2 campuses and a course you want is restricted to those who go to the other campus?
Genuinely was so excited to take American Sign Language until the error came up in my course selection
Thanks. Basically it’s like this other campus which is 2 universities combined idk it’s like (uni1) (uni2) university but I am enrolled to a program at uni 1 not the “combined” uni, however the “combined” uni campus isn’t a far drive for me and I don’t have any other lectures or labs the days the lecture takes place so it’s not a hassle for me but I think you have to be specifically enrolled at “combined” uni to take the course idk it was very confusing
Thanks for the advice anyways
It’s an odd situation
I think you’re right I just always get scared of asking stupid questions
ok what about comp science principles vs dual enrollment for freshman year?
Hmm not sure
hi I have the choice to pick either honors (which is dual enrollment) or AP us history. should I take the risk and do AP or dual enrollment?
can i get tips and resource reccomendations to prep for ap calc ab, chem, psych, csp, and apel
Hello, I am a student at Branham high school and according to my counselor, I will graduate only taking Calc AB. I am taking a challenge placement exam in august and if I pass, my chances will increase but I am still not guaranteed. I wanted to know your thoughts on taking just one Calc class. I want to be an engineer but my options are limited and I don’t really know what to do. Do you think my chances of getting into a good college is lower because of this?
No you’ll be fine. It would’ve helped more if you have taken other calc classes like BC or multivar, but AB is absolutely fine as well
What exactly do you learn in Organic Chemistry beyond carbon based chemistry?
Hi,is taking Calculus-3H good for math senior year if I'm going to astrophysics
Is it possible to not take a foreign language in my freshman year and study it over the summer and then go straight to French 2 Honors in soph? if I take french 1 in freshman that will bring my gpa down
depends if your school allows it. Ask your counsellor.
Organic chem at what level
and what do you mean by "carbon-based chemistry"
Any exam can be self-studied, you just have to have good self-pacing and discipline skills. It also depends on your background in subjects and their difficulty.
they would probably want to see that you know the french 1 curriculum now, if they see you know french at least somewhat they are more likely to be lenient on the class
i knew a kid that skipped spanish 1 and 2 freshman and sophomore year since he just spent time in his 8th grade summer learning spanish
Do u know where I can learn French 1
Preferably free cuz I’m really broke rn
tbh I started learning arabic by just wandering around online
Btw I learned French in 6th grade in India if that helps
look up something like "french 1 curriculum" if you need ideas, and start going over some basic ideas
alphabet, family, places, etc.
idk i havent taken french before, but from what i hear it isnt too hard
make sure you get a thorough understanding of verb tenses and conjugations and all that
thats improtant for any language
Alright
can't think of any websites off the top of my head that have been helpful for curriculum stuff, but here's some tips:
- ask your counselor if they have the syllabus for French 1 so you have an idea of the material (if not that's okay!)
- look for practice sheets online
- read books, watch movies in french
- most important thing is to learn conjugations!!! use wordreference for this and as a dictionary
- study passé compose, present, and imparfait as these are the 3 most common verb tenses
- to apply these skills try writing simple things like "about me" or even an essay if you can
not sure what you would've learned in grade 6 but this should help a bit! if you need anything else or just someone to check your progress, feel free to DM me : )
thank you!
stop the pipeline of those msgs was so funny 💀 np tho
bruh
All I know is so is what T20 colleges like
aint there khan
Khan is too powerful atp
No
Get a textbook, try an app, and watch/read French shows to expand vocab
Also try to speak with natives if that’s a possibility
Omegle 💀
Is this a good schedule? I want to get accepted into harvard and I want to be a math Major (I will have taken every single math class) this is my senior year and I will have taken 5 ap’s up until this point. Ping me (:
-APUSH
-AP Chem
-Global issues (Required to graduate)
-PE 10-12 (required to graduate)
-Calc 1 (No AB and perquisite to BC)
-AP Calc BC
-AP Lang
-Inorganic chem (required for AP Chem)
-Organic Chem
-APES
no
Dam rip gg
varies
CSP, Psych, and ap lang require no preparation fr
Calc ab, you need to brush up on your knowledge of functions, graphs, and transformations. That stuff is gonna be important the whole year. You need to be able to look at a graph and recognize exactly what function it is (as long as it is a basic function of course, not some crazy shit). AP Chem i am going into right now so I can't really say much
for calc, u just need a strong grasp of algebra
Of course, that too
My teacher always said "it's not the calculus that gets you, its the algebra"
my prof says that too
The calculus is really easy, but you can make a careless algebra mistake and it's wrong
yallll how we looking
im finna go into sophomore year how we looking
ap bio
ap world
ap pysch
honors precalc (my school not offering ap ;-;)
honors english
honors spanish 2
chamber mastery orchestra
varies
i have the option to drop ap psych but like
i hear commonly its not too difficult
so might as well keep it right 💀
cuz im lowkey interested in the class 👀
varies
i dont know about your school, but my school allows us to take french 2 freshman year, so i am taking that class, but maybe you could talk to your counselor
and is honors bio, honors english, honors legacy of western thought, honors trig, gym, bio lab, PLTW intro to biomed sciences, and frnech 2 a good courseload for a 9th grader?
imo its whatever
our school only offers AP CSP by special request to 9th graders
Should I take precalc over the summer to get AP calc BC junior year? (Precalc is kinda like an algebra III at my school)
I’m currently a rising sophomore going into Honors Algebra II
i mean, do you want to do something in math
cuz that would dictate wether you take stats or not
Yeah I want to do biomechanical/mechanical and MVC is offered at my school, even though the credit doesn’t apply out of state it’d be good to have
then i would say if you have the time and resources, at least try
but its going to be harder than you think
K
Problem is, I had the chance to take algebra II and geometry freshman year but an 8th grade teacher of mine kinda like put me down saying it’s impossible for me, and now I’m already helping seniors with calc stuff
I just wished I focused on myself and didn’t listen to the opinion of others
Now I just need to see where I can fit it in tbh
if you have the resources, i would say go for it
you know yourself better than any teacher
Alr
Thanks man
ofc, happy to help
Hey should I take trigonometry through college during my sophomore year of high school because I will be taking Pre Calc next year
if u want
Would it be too hard
idk, i never took trig
ap stats is kinda ez since im doing it in 20 days (over the summer) and pre calc shouldnt be bad if u have a good grasp of alegbra
But I heard that you need a bit of trig for it so am I screwed or what cause I taking college algebra rn which doesn’t teach you trig
ur fine
Alrr thanks
ye
Ok thank you bro
Advanced high school also Idk about the carbon-based chem part I might be getting confused w/ something else
@kindred mango
yeah... all organic chem is carbon-based haha
you need to have carbon-based molecules for it to be classified as org chem
typically you should learn nomenclature and types of reactants and catalysts
but mostly the course should be on reactions
if it's an introductory course, around 30-40% will be naming and 60-70% will be reactions
but again, don't take my word for it since the curriculum varies by country
Same but wishing does not change anything. People keep bringing up going back in time. But let me say an analogy. I wish for a million dollars to appear in my room, that sounds crazy and mad right? Now let me wish to turn back time a concept where it only possible to move forward, and cannot be altered through any physical means, that sounds crazier right? Don't stress life will be filled with so many endeavors to come. I know I'm being hypocritical rn cause I always feel regrets
W analogy + advice
Thank you
guys i need advice for dual enrollment
my local community lets us transfer credits to uc and csu
should i take dual enrollment class relating to my interest like electrical engineering courses
or school related courses to help me for aps such as math, science, physics, and english?
although u can do that, i would suggest igetc + transfer req
You got a point tho, you can’t turn back time so why ponder on what you can’t change. That makes sense
is it possible to do dual enrollment online? and any suggestions?
@everyone
i need to choose which subject to go for in ss1
i wont be able to change
im between science and art rn
art is my passion, but science provides a more stable future
what shld i do?
art
For electives do dual enrollment, for core classes do ap
I wanna work here.
Science. It is guaranteed to be in demand, but you can try to do both
i cant do both, there r four to choose from, an nce u choose u no changher ur mind
Well what is ss1?
I thought you were talking about classes or something
Or majors and minors
year 10, or sophomore i think
Some colleges let students take classes online, however, you may not be eligible for dual credit. You can still take the class and receive college credit though! I would look at your local community colleges to see if they offer stuff like that.
Yall does it matter what languages I take in high
like would spanish look better than French on college apps?
nope
No.
can someone explain what AP's are the heardest and easiest
all I know as a French Student french is actually not that easy but if you do have interest in it you should consider it but if I were to select again I would most likely pick spanish
and speaking French fluently and in french accent is almost impossible and not even natural
they make all kinds of sounds using their nose so if you were to talk to some French person in french, he would likely not understand you or have a good laugh at your accent(though French people are too polite)
Is
Hon English 12
APES
AP calculus BC
AP chemistry
AP bio too much for senior year
I love science and I wanna major in bioengineering
And I haven’t taken THAT many APs
Yes
I took ap gov in 10th, was pretty easy and interesting, I've heard ap us history is pretty interesting too and I've taken it for 11th so maybe that
Good right?
What do you do in AP Gov
you just learn about how the us government started and a little bit about rights and politics
I don't feel like thats for me
What about AP literature
dunno
just look at the course descriptions on the ap page
see what sounds interesting
I took AP World as a Sophomore. It is not that difficult as a course. If you enjoy history, it is a nice class to take. It is diffident compared to normal history classes because you have to make arguments and explain things at a deeper level, which you will learn how to do.
I felt it was easier than what most people told me, but I could be completely wrong. I have to wait for the exam results.
Ap world and euro are both great.
I'm taking AP Lang and AP Comp Sci Principles. In ap lang could i just like chatgpt stuff or nah.
cheating?
💀 ban hammer
chatgpt is not cheating
are u dumb
your probably the teachers pet that absolutely everybody hates
@proven totem
including the teachers
Is AP US Politics worth it?
Says the one who needs an AI to do his work for him
Well it depends what you want to do
I assume that’s pretty specialized so it depends if your interested in that
what is igetc and transfer req?
depends on what you're using it for
now, I'm not going to condone using chatGPT
but it's crazy efficient
I took 7 pre-IB classes soph. year and 2 APs (1 self-study, 1 in school) and even thought that sounds like a lot, I was still able to do things like sports, start a business + my npo and learn skills like web development while having plenty of time to hang out with friends, etc.
any of the boring classes that are essentially useless (pre-IB english and history), you could get work done so fast with the help of GPT and move onto more important stuff
like my work effiicieny after december was just ⤴️⤴️⤴️⤴️⤴️
got so much done
check with ur college
Technically it is since ur not crediting the bot
Especially when u word to word copy it
Im not just wondering if it would look good for college
So you cheated on your assignments?
some ucs, like UCSD, don’t accept igetc for freshmen
and like calpoly
For the classes which I know will never provide useful information to my intended education and allowing me to better use my time on something better like making money? Yeah
I was able to start a whole business with revenue and everything just because I had so much time finishing assignments fast
Also the entire school did it, wasnt just me. If you cant beat them, join them
the last sentence is VERY true
they don't like when students try to get ahead 🤷♀️
Srsly. Every assignment would be done in like 10 minutes.
then ig u can do the major related classes
since those take forver
What am I supposed to do, just diligently work on my assignments while I see all my friends finishing up fast and doing smth else?
And it wasn’t like I completely gave up the subject, I still understood everything. Passed every final easily
wait.. but y only those schools and not the other UCs?
ok
Is it better to do honors, reg, or ap courses in highschool?
AP of course
def AP because it gives you a huge GPA boost
varies
or be like my school we don’t do weighted 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Doesn’t matter, colleges will convert your gpa to their own scale I think
depends
they nearly always will since gpas can be on a 100, 10, 6, 5, 4.5 scales
also varies
and 5.5
and 4
btw
This is kind of about course selection but not really
Say I w]am in my sophomore year, and I want to take an AP, say AP bio, but my high school doesn’t allow sophomores to take ap bio
Is it possible for me to self study, take the ap exam, and for that to count towards my gpa and enter it on my college application?
It won’t count toward your gpa - no ap exam does
It won’t be on your transcript
But you can enter your score if you aren’t test optional @fallen viper
and 6.3
Here are the classes I selected sophomore year. (I want to be a finance major)
- Alg 2 Honors
- Chem Honors
- WHAP
- Eng 2 Honors
- AP Euro
- AP CSP
- Business Information Management
- Debate 2 (LD)
Please let me know if I should change anything or if you have any tips for me in general
I think that's really good, it's similar to the things I'll be doing this year which I've talked about and heard that are good choices
Any tips for AP Chem and Honors Chem? I'm taking them next year (my school requires Honors Chem Fall sem to take AP Chem spring sem).
Ok thanks, next year should I take IB Econ or AP Macroecon or another ap econ course
Ap econ in general is better cuz it does micro and macro together (at least at my school)
Has anyone here taken ap world?
thats true
What about AP European history? From some people I here it's the hardest AP there is to take and some others say its the hardest history course.
hey i was wondering if anyone had any experience with ap chemistry and could maybe give some insight on how hard it is and whether it's advisable to take it as a sophomore?
a junior told me the class was easy and they only had 5-10 minutes of hw every night… def not accurate idk 💀💀💀💀
if you have the opportunity to take it as a sophomore i would take it
Is geometry actually important in algebra 2 and pre calc and calc? I took it accelerated and don’t really know what’s going on. it counts as a credit but definetly very surface level. (entire geometry year in 22 days)
Not in Algebra 2, my school allows us to take it without having taken geometry
what about preclac?
my district offered it but it was def a bad idea💀
Bruh you’re so lucky
I wish I could do that
yeah I did but I had to pay for it and i took the cheap one and it was shit
Btw I just remembered, you probably only need the trigonometry
i had to pay for mine too, 500$+ 😭 it was a lot
bruh
thank youu
talk to your consuler
Can you take AP classes in middle school? Just wondering.
ig if you skip enough courses?
like if u have a credit by ezam test
but that’s a horribel idea
only precalc(for trig) and everything after that
everything after that as in everything after precalc or the concept of trig?
trig is pretty common in calc
oh okay, wait is trig like similarity and congruence and stuff
trig would be like sin cos tan
OH okay that’s simple
yeah honestly 1st semester geo is kinda useless for later school math
unless ofc you major in math
Wish my high school had ap euro. They have practically every ap but that
same
if you skip enough maybe but a question of mine is if you can take the exam in middle school
My high school offers a decent amount of aps
Hi I’m going through the O and A level system and if I want to pursue something biology related (haven’t figured out what exactly) are chemistry and physics needed as one of my 4-5 subs in A levels?
I would think it would be better to take triple sci than doubl sci as u will never know if u need it
Wsg I’m gonna be a freshman next year and I’m taking ap human geo and ap comp sci principles with precalc as my math class am I gonna regret it next year
What about AP European history? From some people I here it's the hardest AP there is to take and some others say its the hardest history course.
that definetly rigorous so as long as you maintain your grades and get good scores on ap exams while being able to give a good amount of time to ec's and stuff you will be fine
Alr cool
Same but I’m taking alg 2
Nice alg 2 shouldn’t be too hard if you just pay attention and put in some effort
yeah I know
they don't let us take any aps in freshmen year
Damn my school let’s us take those two if we want
What do you need help with
are you familiar with the integrated math stuff
like integrated math 1
its nothing much
im just asking whether you need to go to ap math class to get into any good college
cause my normal math flowchart sequence is im1 in 9th im2 in 10th im3 in 11th and pre-calc in 12th
I recommend taking some sort of AP math class like calc or stats. Really depends on your major though. Math based major, take calc otherwise you may not need to
But you still should
If you want to go to a higher level college then yes you absolutely need AP math
Hi, so I wanna join biomedical engineering but there are many unis in my country which don't offer it. So would it be the same if I majored in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with a minor in biology? Or maybe double majoring in EE/ME and bio?
It would be very different
Is there any similar route I can take?
Like what can I do to gain the knowledge and skills of a Biomedical Engineer while not specifically majoring in BME?
How about Biological Engineering
Not available either
Do you know what you wanna specialize in?
Like
There's Cell and Tissue Engineering
Biomaterials
Sensors
Biomedical Imaging
Biomechanics
Etc
If it's something to do with prosthetics, biomechanics, or something with mechanics , I'd take Mechanical Engineering
If you want Signal Processing and Interfaces, then probably Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
If Cell and Tissue Engineering, Biology or Biochemistry
BME is a really far-reaching field so it depends on your area of specialization
Btw
With everything I mentioned so far
You would still need to sign up for med courses
Those aren't med majors
You mean like electives?
Sorry I'm not really well-versed on university vocabulary
Let's say you choose Mechanical Engineering - You won't learn medical things because you it's not a medical major
You would learn engineering, a lot of mechanics and mechanical engineering
You would also learn other stuff like math, thermodynamics, physics, but let's forget about them for now
Since you said you're interested in BME
You would have to sign up for med course(s) to also learn about med stuff
Does that make sense?
Oh yes I understand now
It's okay. It could be you guys have it differently over there
Anyway
The major you should choose really depends on the area of specialization you want in BME
Well I'm not really sure which area I want to specialize in so that's the problem
Do you think you could research about each of the areas and then figure out what interests you the most?
Believe me I've tried its too confusing
What's confusing
But one thing I am fond of is prosthetics/artificial limbs
All the types of specializations and the many overlaps and intersections between them
Have you tried researching it using a different source?
Maybe the website(s) you used were the reason you got confused
Any websites you'd recommend?
I would just Google and look at (any) multiple sources
Simple enough
But if you're into prosthetics/artificial limbs, then I'd probably choose Mechanical Engineering
Second choice would be Electrical Engineering
Ok and what minor should I take?
Ok
No but I mean, they could help
I would minor in EE then
OR
You could minor in something medical
or more biological
like biochem
yk what
forget EE as a minor
Biochem would be a smarter choice
What about biomedical sciences?
Yeah
Ok, so I would have to major in EE/ME and minor in Biomedical Sciences and take medical courses correct?
hmm well
It really depends
i don't know what exactly you would be learning
I'm pretty sure you would already be taking med courses if you're doing biomedical sciences
med biomedicalsciences
But yeah
EE/ME would teach you the engineering, physics and math
Biomedical Sciences should in theory teach you the Biology, Physiology, Chemistry and Medicine parts
Yeah I understand but I want the most biology I can get u understand?
yeah
If you want the most biology then biomedical sciences
Bc it also involves med and chem
Major: EE/ME
Minor: Biomedical Sciences
Ok and lastly, if I were to double major I should choose EE/ME and what? Or should I just avoid that?
Ok one sec
Oh one sec its still uploading 😅
Oh np
muted
ty bb
nw
Can you do biomedical sciences as a major
Unfortunately not
Actually give me 2 mins I'm trying to write out a list of the majors cuz it'd be better
Okay
Can you go to the page of Chemistry and see if there's "Biochemistry" there
Is there anything that mentions health/medicine?
So yeah that's the chemistry major , but would'nt a biology major make more sense? That is if I were to double major
yeah I see your point
but here's the thing
you wouldn't learn much chemistry
in biochem you learn a good amount of both biology and chemistry
At least that's how it's here
If you're interested in Biomedical Engineering, specifically the area of prosthetics/artificial limbs, I would recommend the following (this is based on what your school offers):
Major:
Major: Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Major + Minor:
Major: Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Minor: Biomedical Sciences
Double Major:
First Major: Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Second Major: Chemistry
However, if you want the most Biology, then choose Biology as the second major.
Yeah but, it's not just biochemistry, and I'm not a big fan of chem myself tbh
lol
Do Biology then
But just so you know in BME you learn tons of Biochemistry
How old are you? You might be the same as my friend @manic widget
Ok then, and if I were to double major and minor, I would take Biomed sciences right?
Yeah
Alr then thank you so much
Wrote it all here ^
Npnp
Yo @manic widget aren't you 12
You should be friends with this guy
Itzzz-Andrew-_-#4840 was banned.
guys which would be the best language to learn German or French
Both are really good
Im also filling out a form about deciding what language to take next year
But my teachers had told me that taking german is good because you're also learning a bunch of history along with it
French is pretty good for like something related to business where u have to travel
a lot of english words come from german so it might b more useful even if u never actually use the language
Guys
What are the difference between BA of Computer Science and BSc of Computer Science
Hey do you guys think that rank of a university is important while applying to medschool i live in canada
Are you looking for unis in Canada?
Im debating whether to choose biology or pssychology for my major lmao
Hello, excuse me for asking; im in 11th grade going on 12th now and im planning on getting into college. Im quite interested in earth science especially geology. Though, im quite scared whether id get a job if i majored in geology or not; does anyone have any experience with a geology major? What do they work as? Was it easy to look for jobs as a geology major?
At this point im considering majoring in geophysics or even scrap geology entirely and go to civil engineering just so id have a better chance in the job market(?) Should i look into geophysics or even civil engineering?
sorry if my language is crappy, im a non native
Hi guys, I'm wondering what courses are useful to take for 9th-12th grade. I'm planning to become a physician for my career. Anyone have suggestions?
hey everyone, im a econ based student who had taken physics last year as a way to explore my interests. I like physics, the teacher is great, but the current section of 8-9 chapters is incredibly tough, i am able to cope well with the rest of it but im debating dropping it. i dont necessarily need physics for the stream im pursuing and its becoming kind of a pain to study for, thoughts?
biology and chemestry would both be helpful, if ur school has anatomy and physiology take that as well, physics stuff wont b important for u, any other bio related classes ur interested in would also b good, my school has biotech, which might b less useful for u than some of the other stuff i mentioned, but if ur interested it would still b kinda helpful
Alright
And yes our school offers anatomy and physiology
But that is for 12th grade
Do you think I should take psychology for 11th grade?
if its becoming more trouble than its worth and irs not going to help u much on apps for ur major, its probably not worth it, colleges wdo want to see diverse acedemic interests, but there are other wasy to achive that if this is too much
if ur interested and want to rake it yeah, and if it’ll b interesting for u, it’ll definitely help, just not a ton bc its like studying how we think but not from a medical perspective as much, not like a class in neuroscience would teach it
Makes sense, also our school offers a biomedical course for 9th grade. I'm planning to take that and take advanced class for biology.
Is that ok?
yeah that sound gr8
does anyone know if a music class is required for high school because most of my classes (in plan) are STEM based and I dont realy know how to fit in a music class
also will music help for college?
i play the piano but i dont do it through school because i cant realy fit it in anywhere
Not at all
Anything that youre passionate about will help, if you can't play the piano through hs you could do other things with it. Maybe try selling piano lessons or teach it for free (as volunteering)?
yea i think that would be good
Check your high schools graduation requirements, a lot of schools require at least 1 art/music credit
Just check if your planned schedule meets your schools specific grad requirements
do you know where i can check that
in studentvue it says something like this, so do you know if music would be included
im a rising freshman so idk
i think its done cuz cte/ fine arts says its over
which i already did
but still not sure
does ur school have a program of studies?
yep
yea it doesnt look like uu need music
just a sequential elective (2 in row)
which i have
check ur state department of education website
they should have graduation requierments there
also r u in VA?
cuz we also use student vue and our thing looks exactly like that as wlel
Some require art credits but I haven't heard of music specifically
Is it good or bad to overwork yourself? I originally wanted to just do the basics classes just to get out of school quicker but like now should I just go all out and do everything like all the elective classes and Ap classes I’m eligible for or clubs I wanna do? IDK ANYMORE. Pls some shed their knowledge.
My OG schedule was suppose to be precal, Ap bio, cp English, business, Spanish 3, maybe hybrid history including a zero. But now I’m reconsidering Ap English, honors precal, and ap psychology, and at that point maybe mun along with some medical clubs.
And even dual enrollment classes but those are undecided.
No sports cause I can’t rn
I wanna do something in the medical field. Is this even the right approach?
Am I over working my self in junior year or is this normal for expanding my interest?
and I think its totally ok to explore more things! but sometimes it gets too much and affects other things! Do some clubs but i recommend only one or two clubs so you can stay focused, really get good at those clubs, maybe you could take a club that you wanted to do for class!
hope that helps
should i do a semester worth or ecomincs class (required) which will be more faster and allow me to have another semester class? or should i just take a full year ap macroecomics
I would do the quick and easy route because you're still going to have to do the required class. But it really comes down to whatever makes you happy that's just my opinion
ok!! actually macroeconims counts as the "required" of econoomcs class but i had a feeling its not that worth it. should i try to self study it or should i just not do it?
one part of me says i want more college credit but at the same time i dont think its worth it, especially for my future plans lol
ye then if its not worth it, then dont do it, especially if it wont be for your future plans,
ok, ty!
ofc!
Does anyone have ideas for AP Studio Art themes?? like landscapes, portraits, picturing emotions, etc. I need to choose one before school starts
can i have one course meet say the D and E transfer requirements for CSU
thats kinD of up to you, you are working yourself harD for a reason, if you DeciDe what youre working for is worth the effort then i dont see a problem with that, its harD to get anywhere in life without struggling. that being said if youre interesteD in going meDical fielD then maybe working harD coulD be a gooD thing, undergraD/meD school isnt cheap usually and you could strengthen your chances of getting a scholarship by taking more rigorous courses
Something to note, med schools don't care where you go for undergrad. If your goal is to go to med school and you don't care where you go for college, then I'd say no need to overwork yourself if you're going to go in state. But note med school is hard, it's harder than hard. Studying for the mcat is hard, it's harder than hard. Might be worth putting in the effort now so you're used to it. Also more rigurous classes such as AP classes can lead to you saving money for college. Same goes with dual enrollement
Thx G!
Np 👍
Has anyone heard of the class capstone honors symposium?
The capstone program?
Not the AP class
Ah it's ok
