I'm finalizing my schedule right now for freshman year and I have one slot open and I'm debating between two classes. Intro to coding and intro to business. I want to major in physics so intro to coding seems like the no-brainer but I've already done two years of coding and when I talk to my friends who did the course I know everything they teach. It would be pointless and boring but would look good on the college app. But I could also do intro to business which although I don't want to major in would be a fun class just for the sake of it. It would be interesting to see business Concepts even though I 100% want to go into stem. Intro to coding is not a prerequisite for any other courses at my school.
