😭
?ban @grand urchin 1y underage 13+
Anthony134#3295 was banned.
oh
that was smart
Nice
teamwork
lol
Yup
lol
Mb didn't mean to do that
should i take AP world history next year for 10th grade? right now i have english 10 H, pre calc H, social studies 10H (if i dont take AP world), AP chem, and AP stats. i don't know if it will be too hard because i've never took an AP course before, and if i do want to take AP world, i have to email the social studies director because right now i'm not recommended for it. i really like world history but idk if it'll be too much
i’d say don’t since you already have so many APs
but if you could manage one more on top of honors classes then
i think you should be fine
it’s really up to how much you’re willing to take responsibility on
Just do the ap and drop out if u think its too hard
ok
thank you guys
See pins
It sounds like you might be strong in history but I'll tell you that AP World is really, really fucking over-generalized
Wdym
Example:
There is a total of 1 paragraph dedicated to Spain's al-andaluz era which is one of the most critical eras of world history
When Spain was Al-Andaluz it created the first universities inside of Europe and generally introduced a lot of really important shit to European culture
Same with the Spanish Inquisition which is in that one paragraph lol
Another example is that there is literally no information on the letente era of the cold war which was also really important
It just gets defined and that's it
SO yeah, you're getting a really general overview of history that might not be too attractive for you
Tbh I wish that AP would make more history classes and instead make them highly specific
Like give us a class that is related to the social movements of the 50s and 60s
Give us a class that is related to the Islamic world
Give us a class that is related to the Russian world during the post-cold war era
That shit's dope and I would lvoe to spend a whole yaer learning some really fucking specific shit
but alas
Yeah
i’m probably going to do something math related
how hard is ap world on a scale of 1-10
Depends for everyone
Depends who u ask
Some people find AP physics to be easy even tho it’s considered to be the hardest ap, and if u ask the not so wise people about any ap class, they might consider it impossible
I'm finding it to be a solid 5/10. In line with all of my other classes
oh nice
i literally sent the director an email
she’s so passive aggressive
she recommended me to take ap seminar or ap human geo 💀
AP Seminar makes no sense
AP Human Geo is nice but it's not needed either
I've done just fine in AP world iwthout either course
Granted though I do have the very slight benefit of being required to memorize where every country was during my Civics class last year
Does anyone have an opinion on how many APs to take in your sophomore year?
i had to do that in middle school
See the 2nd pin in the pins
It's a tiktok
👌
ikr
like what is it
i still have no idea
💀
It teaches a lot of shit
It's meant to be an equivalent to the IB Theory of Knowledge ccourse
Except without the theory of knowledge aspect 💀
what is theory of knowledge
So it's more focused on giving you important skills to help you succeed in college such as how to make presentations, how to create an opinionated piece, how to gather sources, etc.
ohh
It's a course you take in the IB that teaches the nature of knowledge and how we know what we know
sounds like speech and debate 💀💀💀
It's an english comp class in college
Not English comp English Rhetoric
Actuallly they're the same thing lol
It's an engish comp/rhetoric course
That's seminar
Should I take AP Chemistry for my sophomore year? Ppl say Ap chem is hell at my school. Is it worth taking it for someone that wants to do pre med?
Have you taken regular chem yet?
Nope
If no then don't take any of the AP Sciences
Yeah take regular chem
it's really important for all of the other AP sciences lol
Alr thx man
um
next yr will be the 1st time taking aps lol, 4 of em
Ya boy still has no fucking clue what the fuck a covalent bond is
i didn’t take regular chemistry either
Or an ion
and i’m taking ap chem next year
You're also in 9th grade
You probably shouldn't
an ion
I know it's a charged particle
is a positively or negatively charged apricot
but I don't fucking know what it means to have a charge
particle
apricot?
St. Fub?
i swear to god
Idfk you decide
has anybody done/gone through the khan academy hs bio course and if so is it any good
but like
I have done AP Calculus BC and AP Physics 1
You need to finish algebra II for physics II and you need to finish or be inside of calc for Physics C
yk what i’ll do extra work during the summer
No need for physics 2
Just do C
I just thought that AP Physics 2 had some topics that I was interested in that were not covered in Physics C
do you know what a cation or anion is
I don't know and I don't care
💀

do you know what an electron is 💀💀
Ye
okay so yk how atoms have electrons
Tiny negatively charged particle
like hydrogen has 1 electron
Didn't know that electrons were fixed in number lol
it isn’t
Cation is a positively charged ion while anions are negatively charged
but in its base state
Great
like
what science do u take @ripe geyser
on the periodic table
1 electron for every proton
hydrogen is the first element
I know that
And that's my extent on chem
an ion is the removal or addition of electrons to that atom
Last year Intro to Earth, Space, and Physics (non-honors). This year AP Bio
Wouldn’t colleges like it more that I took all AP science classes? Or is chem not that relevant
Don't ask how I jumped from a non-honors course to an AP course
ap bio 💀💀💀
Colleges don't fucking care which classes you take or don't take
Depends, what field are you planning for
trying isnt good enough now days, the results is what actually matters
i’m doing living environment regents (regular) this year and i’m jumping to ap chem
isnt it 3 yrs of science?
Gotchu
chem isn’t even a req here
it’s just bio
But you don't need to take any of them at the AP level as long as your counselor checked off "most demanding" on your school report form
How do you know that your counselor will check that? Just ask them
what if you actually want to take them though
They are legally required to fill out a school report form so they have to know lol
to further your learning
that's dope, just first take chem lol
Nah, colleges would like to see that AP Physics and Chemistry if you are going into stem
Colleges don't fucking care what APs you take
i’m taking chem h rn
I want to get into pre med does that still matter
ap phys 1 next year fr
Even if you're STEM, ther's a lot of schools out there that don't offer AP Physics or Chem
My old school we had no AP sciences lol
Idk about you guys but im tryna get into Harvard 😭
It matters a lot, try to take all AP Sciences if you can. Colleges want to see you challenge yourself
It doesn't
Stop the cap
Alright hack god has no fucking clue what he's taalking about lol
I am trying to get into MIT
So I am in the same situation
@lapis island ik you want to get into Harvard which is dope but you're not gonna enjoy it lol
Lit
Either way, take all 3 of the basic sciences
Colleges do not care if they're at the AP level or not
Bro ik Harvard itself is depressing
As long as you have "most challenging schedule" ticked off by your counselor you're fine
But, it is still a good idea to take some of the AP Sciences
Wow big people
At least 2 of the big 3
If you can
If you can't, then take AP Bio
Even if you're a stem major just take AP Bio
It's easier than the other ones and it's a gened requirement
Nah you have to challenge the counselor. I took AP Calculus BC when she recommended me for Calculus. I still got a 5 on the exam
Yeah imma take Ap bio junior year
tf you mean 'challenge the counselor"
calc bc is calc?
Alright how many counselors have yout alked to halk?
and wdym by challenging the councler
what the fuck did you think it is?
Calc BC is a calculus course lol
yeah ik, but i was telling him that it is
Either way Hack, you got the wrong idea about all of this
Counselors dont got nearly enough time to scrutanize you for what you took and what you didn't
I mean initially, my course was not the prerequiste to AP Calculus BC so the conselor did not recommend but I took it anyway. Turned out to be the best decision I ever took
ok?
I’m taking a EWRC English class next year I’m kinda of scared
Didn't answer the question
Don't be, I have no clue what that class is which probably means it's fine
Alright
Oh it's rhetoric
Uh you can fulfil the same exact curriculum but get a GPA boost by taking AP Seminar instead if your school offers it
They should be at the same difficulty
I going to plan ahead I’m planing to attend cal polytechnic institution of technology my school don’t offer AP seminar
I’m to try to get into AP English Language and compostion
My senior year
I also hope to get into Link Crew
lol
Lol
Lol
sure
ok
Ok
my highschool offers ap biology but its a double-period class
is that just my school or is that also in other highschools
Yeah in other high schools it's more than a normal period
for us it's 1.5 periods
No
how so
for 9th grade thats pretty good
unless ur not 9th grade anymore
then again idk you and what you can handle
are you asking for like oh are these good classes for college or oh are these gonna be classes i can handle
See pins
I think we need a bot that says that each time someone mentions classes or schedule
ok
sorry
Is AP Bio and APUSH an overload
also has anyone here taken AP Bio
My teacher told me it’s a lot of chemistry so I shouldn’t take it without having finished a Chem course
But I know a lot of people take it without finishing chem so I was just wondering
Im prob not gonna take it anyway this year 💀
idk what ur teacher told you but they are wrong
im taking it and its definetly doable, but it depends on the teacher really
you do not need to take a chem course to take bio
it barely involves any chemistry
Paper you’ve asked this question multiple times
It changes from school to school
A lot of schools (mine) have a lot of chem involved within AP Bio
Attempting to learn AP Bio without the chem background is next to impossible unless you’re me who joined in the middle of the school year after all of the chem is over
Either way @inland flare stop trying to rush your education
There’s no benefit
Take all the requirements first then do the more complex shit later
There’s no point in hastening your college life when in the end you’re gonna end up at the same place as everyone else after graduation lol
If a techer is recommending you something, listen to their recommendations
They're ultimately there to help you, not harm you
Their job is to get you into as good a university as they possibly can lol, so they're gonna give you the advice to get you into those unis and if that's advice is to take chem before the AP sciences then it probably means that one of the things you should do to get into the top unis is take chem before AP sciences
Of course, everyone's different but there's no need to test out your god damn differences in education when you haven't even gotten out of the era of playing kickball during gym class lol
Take it slow, please stop trying to accelerate your education for no reason, you're hurting yourself in the long run if it flops and if it doesn't flop, then that's good you can go ahead lol. But as it stands you are a middle schooler, there is no point in trying to even take a single AP as a freshman tbh
What about taking ap bio and Chem honors at the same time?
Still a bad idea
O
Not as bad as doing bio without chem
but still a bad idea
MOstly cause that other class period would've been better spent on literally anything else
Y'all:
There's no fucking benefit to taking multiple sciences per year unless one of those sciences fulfils a GenEd requirement or smth and you're taking it as a DE
Or if you really want to take fucking Bio and are required to take chem as well lol
Either way:
AP Bio changes a lot between school to school, plus a lot of colleges will still ask for a background in chem so it's just better to get that background first
Especially as you're gonna have a very awkward jump between classes as you go from:
AP Bio (11th grade course you're taking at 9th)
Chem (9th grade course you're taking at 10th)
AP Chem (11th grade course taken at 11th)
That's a weird ass jump to make and there's no benefit to jumping back and forth like that lol
I see mega is responding to my opinion with what appears to be a new volume to the communist manifesto
that’s not a bad idea at all- biology is a graduation requirement here to be taken in person, and during the summer everyone has better things to do (internships, volunteering, etc. etc. a lot, and i mean a lot, if freshmen here are taking bio ans chem in the same year. it replaces an elective slot. let’s be honest- usually, freshmen dont get the best electives anyway. now, if we’re talking about ap’s, it’s a different story- id recommend taking chem honors before any AP sciences (at least before chem and ap phys), but if you want to double up with bio and chem honors, and the circumstances are similar, i’d say go for it. it obviously depends between schools
frfr
i’d type it out 10x quicker but i’m on phone 😔
Like there's no major benefit to doing that lol
Even in the non-pure college sense, you burn one of your elective slots just to take a second science
it fulfills a graduation requirement (here at least) that can ONLY be filled with bio honors- better taking it now than junior year
yes, the freshman electives suck
The issue is that those elective slots are precious as fuck and you want to have as many of them as possible, so to burn them it's not really something you want to do
gee imma go take baking I
Most students have free periods lol
that’s what im saying
Even at my school, we have a total of 6 periods you can take and most kids take 5
taking bio is duh better to fill in during that free period
Well no not really
You've massively increased the workload
The whole point of a free period is to decrease your workload
So you can have time to do your HW in school and have more time to focus on yourself outside of school
okay wait
i’ll rephrase
IF you’re up to the challenge then go for it
happy?
it isn’t that much more work honeskty
bio honors is a free class
Even then I still think it's a stupid idea lol
He was talking about AP bio I think
i’d rather take it freshman year than junior
Yeah AP Bio
oh then no LOL take a diff sci first
He wanted to take AP Bio alongside Chem Honors
ap bio is like all memorization
Yeah you take chem before any of the AP sciences lol
but ur gonna die during the transition from ms to hs
it’s SO different
not worth it
Exotica, check school advice chat
how did hs and ms be soo different?
wdym by "good"
everyone has their own definition of good and it can be subjective
i feel like a balanced schedule is the way to go
not too many aps but still a good amount
and i would prefer mostly stem focused
thats too broad
be more specific
yeah thats what i meant
6 aps, 10 ecs, 3 vounteering sources, 2 jobs, etc
all in 1 yr
bet
aight bro
sounds easy
u cant say that since u didnt even do it
i did 💀💀💀
cuz i literally have 2 jobs, 2 sources of vountering, pres and founder of a club, vp and co-founder of another club and have 10 classes
and more
but i aint got time to list all of em
drop names
oh dang youre a upenn commit?
Yeah
i t hink you chose the wrong role
i thought ur from china and u cant do 24 aps
that was a troll from kthallam 💀
no, their just lying
how woukd you know
cuz its impossible to do 12 aps per yr especially freshman yr
im a senior rn
now ur just full of bs
i know
Actually, no its not
i know people who got accepted to upenn, prinston, standford, yale, harvard and ucla
and all that stuff is just bs
ik ur mom
yeah exactly
cuz its physically impossible
- you don't wanna mess with us
it mentally is
then show me ur transcript if u do have 12 aps
our parents are dangerous ppl
I made it possible
^
why would i doxx myself 💀💀
drop urs first
just sensor ur grades or whatever
if u did terribly in them
like?
y not
dont u wanna flex on us and show that ur more achieved then us?
im a pretty humble person
he got suspended for talking back to a teacher
yeah lmao
because they did smth wrong
that was in 9th grade tho lmao
yea it was kinda sad
he was in calc bc
and he kept tryna tell his teacher that she was integrating smth wrong
but she said she's better than his little ass
and he got really pissed and yelled at her
rip knayam
2 day suspension
but at least he got into upenn
good for u
thanks
I said I wasn’t planning on taking it I already finished my schedule i was just wondering about it since not many kids at my school take it
what are the 24 APS?
Thats hard cap
does anyone know if AP Lang is a somewhat easy class or at least tolerable? what should i expect?
so far, the teacher seems alright but i just wanna know other peoples’ experience with the course work, AP exam, etc.
IS ANYONE HERE FROM SOUTH AFRICA?!?
What up
Wdym
I do science, math, english, foreign lang, etc
Life science?
No
No
@south kite ap chinese exam
@south kite Yes
@south kite so you can do deca senior year
Cool
Hi, not sure if this is the right channel to ask in, but for my GCSEs, I'm pretty much gonna choose Tri Sci, Geography, and DT, but now I have the option between German and Computer Science? Which of these 2 should I do, and would it be better to fulfil the ebacc requirements and choose German, while I study Comp Sci at home, or should I do comp sci instead and study german at home? (Ebacc isnt required in my school). Also, can somebody explain the course in GCSE dt?
is this decent course selection for a 9th grader?
No
what ap classes should i take if i want to get into med school
just in general
i’m in 8th grade so i can take aps in 2 years
but i’m just curious
10 per yr
don't really need to be aiming for med school rn. Its mainly undergrad
when i did. my 9th grade course selection i could take a maximum in of 7 classes
where do you want to go for undergraduate?
if i tell you then you know where i live
so is it state uni?
ok depending on acceptance rate just do generic stuff
my papa got into stanford i need to go there too
for all 12 years of school
because that’s totally realistic
almost everyone in your hs will probably be aiming for it and its pretty easy for them all to get into it
stanford for undergradate?
no i’m jk
oh lol
ok just to make this less confusing for myself
i’ll tell you one thing
i’m in california
so
maybe like
csu -> uc -> med school somewhere
Why cus and uc?
is that like for transfering?
in undergrad
and then if you’re specializing in something like med school go to a med school
you just gotta do undergrad
oh
yeah undergrad doesnt really matter. as long as you got the right classes and complete it
I think
though there are some colleges that have higher med school acceptance rates
so like
what does that mean
does that mean undergraduate school doesn’t exist for med majors
well its not its non-existence but the undergrad you go to doesnt matter or isnt reliant on which med school you go to
4 i believe
you dont need grad
and then u need to pass MCAT
grad is med school
so yeah just 4 and then like 7 in med school/residency and whatever
you don’t need to go to a graduate school??????
but if i try to find a job somewhere would they care if i went to graduate school
job where?
like what type
i want to be either a physician or a clinical geneticist
idk if grad and med are the same but yeah you just need to do undergraduate and then med school
ok
u in CA?
i think you still need the education or some type
yes
really kaiser?
r u doing any internships?
where else
there are much better medical places to work
i’m in 8th grade
are there any interships in nyc for 10th
idk about them in CA
definitely for physician need medical school
i want to move somewhere on the east coast when i’m older
i dont live on the east coast so idk about that either
oh
the reason i’m interested in genetics is because a rare condition i hage and i want to cure it
like with little gene editing robots like crispy
crispy
crispr
so
maybe i can do that
and also get money
so its 4 years undergraduate, four years med school, 3-7 years in residence
curing things are really difficult
3 TO 7
WHAT
yeah its a lot of education
i’ll do whatever i can to make progress toward a cure
people dont become doctors until like 30s
well i knew that
but
if i graduate at 17
which i prob will
then
still
people take gap years, take 5 years for undergraduate
plans change and it still takes awhile usually
even if your in an accelerated program
its costs a ton too
does it really take 7 years to do residency
You go to med school
my parents say they can pay for most of it
it varies on your program
that is a kind of grad school
oh
You go to grad school to be a doctor
i didn’t know tha
Now you do
wait so should i take undergrad grad and med school
No
or just undergrad and then med school
You take undergrad then you go to med school which is also grad school
Undergrad to med
thank god
i’m not about to spend 15 years becoming a doctor
still takes awhile
With your undergrad being in anything you want
also its hard to get into med school
You still are lol
4+7=11 according to the math @mighty mist gave me
11>15
7 year residencies are really rare
4 less years
no i said
oh
Most people take about a decade to finish their residency
So you're looking at 14ish years
WHAT
4 4 3-7
Could be more could be less
A DECADE
there is a reason why being a doctor is so expensive and hard
And that's for an average residency
so thats like 11-15
Some residencies are shorter (that's where the 7 year residency is at but that's mostly for doctors that are really unspecialized and are like General Physicians)
Those doctors make about as much as any other STEM degree and have more debt than stem degrees
The doctors that earn a lot (plastic surgeons, neuroscientists, dentists) usually do 15 year residencies
if you're getting a Botox treatment I better hope the dude behind it has 15 fucking years of experience lol
And I don't want a dude to be poking around in my brain that has less than 20 years of experience lol
15 years would mean that he would begin work at 37 years old
idk about that but it goes fast
nurses make so much less
i’m not being a nurse
you're still earning 100,000 dollars a year
And that's on the low end lol
200k a year is SCRAPING BY where i live
dream schools?
There is no place in the U.S where you are scraping by with 200k a year
Not even fucking beverly hills lol
taxes
Yeah my parents didn’t get out of med school until about 34
even after taxes
If you spend more than you earn, that’s totally possible e
You can live just fine in Beverly hills with a 100k a year salary lol
200k is a lot
It's not easy, but it's absolutely possible
Beverly Hills isn’t really that wealthy
Insurance
dude
insurance is not enough
That's how jobs work
thats true depending on the medication
You get free insurance that covers all treatments lol
sometimes a little pill is like 15,000
That's rare as shit
not covered by insurance
Even then if you're a nurse you're still getting insurance that covers basically everything
medicine that “cures” my condition is 200k-2 million a year
what fucking condition do you have that costs 200k a year to treat?
if you have to put quotes around it it doesn't cure it
Theres a lot actually
Even just normal diabetes costs about 30k a year for good quality insulin without medicare
I'm not talking aboout Diabetes
I'm taling about whatever the fuck costs 200k a year to treat
Honestly being a doctor is totally fine especially with the pay but god damn residency is hell
do the math
You’re on like 36 hour long shifts on $15 a hour
it doesn’t cure
it’s close enough tho
until genetic engineering comes around
nah, im good
you have to take it for the rest of your life?
i’m currently not on this medication but that medication is my life goal
oh ok
the medici action i’m on rn is still pretty expensive
i sure hope it is covered when i’m an adult
so i can pay for the best treatment
You are not
You earn 36-78 dollars an hour
Not 15
Where the ffuck did you get 15?
Don't fucking calculate taxes yourself
Just say how much it is before taxes
I read 78 as 83
Bro that’s a nurse
@ripe geyser 630 dollars per MILLILITER of medication
at full dosage that’s 20ml / day for my entire life once i’m on it
I am talking about a nurse
We are discussing nurses here
uh move to europe?
Oh i was talking about residency
Oh
meta
Residency yeah you're not earning much
europe meta
ALso yeah European nurses still earn a lot of money lol
i didn’t mean to sound pretentious and stuck up when i said scraping by i forgot to include the part about the medication 😭😭
sorry about that
In Belgium you earn 72,000 pounds or about 90k USD
but that was in relation to my life goal which is to be able to pay for that medication
Either way:
Many insurances in the U.S will cover PKU and PKU treatments and many nursing jobs will offer insurance that covers whatever you want it to cover
Including PKU
If you still want to go to the medical field and don't want ot complete a residency, that'd be your best bet
i REALLY fucking hope i can afford that medication on my own when i’m older
You will, unless you work at fucking maccas most jobs will cover cronic disorders like PKU
2 million a year for the “cure” tho
That's in U.S dollars uninsured
it costs like 300 dollars per vial to buy diabetes medicine
how much does the cost decrease by on insurance
That doesn't mean it is worth 300 bucks though lol
for most medicines
To about 70 bucks I think for diabetes medicine
I could be wrong but that's what I think
So 300 USD down to 70 USD per vial
And that is how much that appears on my gramps' bills
i see
He doesn't actually pay that much, his insurance does it
For insruance he spends a couple hundred per month though lol
About 500 (I think?)but it will include any medical check ups and anything else he may need
all i want in life is to be able to eat normal food
that’s literally it
so i need to make a lot of money
and abuse the hell out of insurance
By the time you graduate college gene therapy will probably be strong enough to be doing medical tests
After another decade or 2 the first gene therapies will appear on the market
So you'll be able to do that sometime in your 40s
maybe
i really hope so
i want to expedite the process of gene therapy coming to market by working on it myself
i want to do something in genetics
make many dollars and find cures
Perhaps consider becoming a bioinformatician
They are in a lot of need and they are currently the most important people for genetic disorder research and curing
- they earn 110k per year
my only concern is
if i make 100k a year
after taxes and expenses
and thibna like that
Better than making 60k per year
it would literally take me 20 years to buy a house in my own current neighborhood
Yeah and you're not gonna be able to buy a house period lol
california real estate market 🔥🔥🔥
i’m giving up on my dreams of med school and emailing a sob story to andrew tate so i can live in romania and kickbox all day
that’s how i ein
ein
ein
EIN
WIN
jesus christ
My mom's never been able to afford a house in the U.S
Despite her being an executive recruiter for 2 decades lol
i want to be able to buy a house
buy house
have 2 kids
medication
i’m set for life
Then change it to:
Buy an appartment
Have 2 kids
medication
Even the cheap areas?
buy a house
I'm also gonna tell you:
Your kids will thank you for living in an appartment lol
how come
but what if your kid wants to fucking get out of their house and go to literally anywhere?
Yeah no that's not gonna happen
Eh the dutch houses are closer to appartments I believe
Great
i want to ride my biiiike
Either way living in the U.S, buying an appartment would be a better bet
The issue is that buying apartments is something that's really rare to do
And that's usually for high rise apartments that are really expensive
Granted not as expensive as a non-apartment but still
new Yawk city
The issue is that:
You won't be able to give your kids that apartment when you die
good point
Giving your kids some form of an estate is always something good that you can do
my sister is going to live in a field with ten cats
so
i’m probably going to get my current house
this was my grandmas house before
then my dads
then maybe me???
Yeah you can buy a 1200 square feet apartment/condo for 600k
where
no fucking way
my house is 1.5 million and it’s 1300 square feet
we have a backyard tho
i checked zillow
A bit north of Santa Monica and Culver City
600k for a 3 bed 2 bath 1200 sqft apartment
Yeah apartments are cheap lol
i need to examine
this is nicer than my current house for less than HALF the price
Yeah
Actaully you're able to walk to east holywood and thai town there
Granted it's a 20 minute walk there and a 20 minute walk back so you might want to use a bike instead
But still walkable

It stands for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology
Thanks
Ey ey people
Which is better
Becoming a petrochemical engineer
Or
Becoming a CA? Or any finance related job which ever is best
I looked up an estimate. With insurance, a three-month supply would cost around $3,300. Of course, it's more complicated than that with insurance.
The one you're interested in is better.
We can't answer this for you fully, it all depends on you. Maybe you can start from observing what your capabilities, skills, strengths and weaknesses are. Or things you need to improve. Then it might help determine which one of the jobs (you've mentioned) suits you the best. You might also have to check if there are available classes to prepare for those particular careers. Or resources and internship availability around you for you to apply. A lot of factors need to be considered like the ones I've mentioned above. Good luck finding your suitable path 💞
Should I take AP Chem or Physics i I want too do something in math, I like science and math, and wanna take as many Ap’s as possible (Ap physics isn’t offered at my school, its just physics without math and physics with math)
well before exotica comes and says this: check pins about taking as many Aps as possible
anyways
If you can do both
do both
What the heck is an AP
but if you can't I do recommend Ap chem
Ap is a program run by this company called Collegeboard, where they offer a bunch of courses that have college level content. High schools offer these courses to high schoolers. At the end of the year, these high schoolers take exams for the courses they take, and based on their score(out of 5) can get college creidt.

Interesting
I wanna go to every Ivy league I’ve taken every ap I wanna get a PHD in Math Science and English
Good luck going to every ivy league
And you've taken every AP?
EVERY
?
No that was a joke
Dunno if I even wanna go to college, I’m a sophomore and I’m taking AP Chem or physics senior year
No Ap’s so far, my first ap’s will be next yr
Ok
Have you taken a regular chem course?
AP Chem basically requires you to take a regular chem course before taking AP Chem
Im aware?
That's good
Also, is it okay if I don’t do english Junior yr? We do ACT’s that year but I have no room in my schedule
Im doing it all senior year
Tbh, I have no idea how to help you. Maybe ask a counselor or someone else?
I have no experience in this, sorry.
I recommend doing english every year
and what happens if u don't
is it like really difficult
oof rip me next yr
Dang, best to study some chem over the summer
does it work if i give just the ap exams and not take the courses
cause they dont offer em where i live
I think that works
well you can do that
Have you tried IBDP?
Ok
Reason?
Well, first of all, it is usually a graduation requirement for most high schools. If not, it is at least a big consideration for colleges, especially the good ones. Another thing to consider is that strong reading and writing skills are important to have in both colleges and careers. It's important to be able to communicate clearly, accurately, and in a concise manner in the English language.
Ok
anybody pls thanks
Take comp sci if you are interested in further pursuing later on
Has anyone here done a dual enrollment program? I have to option to do it but I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
Do it if you have the option to
It's a great opportunity to take college courses
and your credits actually count for stuff,,,
matters on the college
Okay, thank you! I have to wait until 11th grade but my counselor told me to think about it now
yah, mine only takes like 3 of my ap's but i hear people with de courses have a lot of theirs count
yah but youre right heavily depends on the college, i have some of my friends say theirs take a lot
ucla
premed
oh ok
ucla cs is ok
that's new
I didn't know UCLA doesn't accept many APS
I mean ik UCs accept lots of DE
cuz MX said so
yah a lot of de's
many current students have told me ap is just a scam in comparison to de's 🙁
well the thing is
I feel like sometimes it can also be
That DE is easier than AP
but it can also be the other way around
yah 100%
Because I don't think I'll be able to take lots of Des
I'm already doing many Aps
I think I'll be able to do a few tho
yah if youre already signed up, i just didnt have the oppurtunity to at my school so my knowledge is a bit limited, just from what other people have told me
it also matters on the college
like ivies
probbably not many Des
it's possible that private unis accept aps more than public
alright, I'll consider that thanks for advice
They accept 4 weighted credits i think
uc's as a whole system accept 8 "honors credits" max for their own list of approved honors courses which you can check out online, but people say this is mostly for placement
what i mean is like ap test credits that will count for classes though
I know calc at college is harder than AP Calc BC in a lot of circumstances
But thats bc to get a 5 you need like a 75% on the test, but to get an A in college you need above a 90
(except in certain circumstances where professors round up an 85 to an A which has happend to one of my friends but thats few and far between)
How many
ib>>>
IBDP is just IB diploma program which is one of the 3 high school programs
3 hs programs???
Which means?
DP being the most challenging
Just different courses
^
DP- Diploma program. CP- career related program
CC program idk what it means but a few students in my school take it
Does anyone knows what AP classes are the easiest?
Ap physics
AP physics? are you sure?
Mabey
Gl
Y u looking for easiest?
I'm trying to take as many AP's as I can next year
Easier said then done
Whats the point in taking the easiest aps
Not rlly, u just sign up
Because I wanna keep myself sane and not stressed 24/7
