College is 110% easier than any HS Course
especially if it's self paced
even sa?
it's why my schedule kinda sucks 💀 i'm trying to fit as much as i can into my actual school time
whats sa
special admit
Yo
its where u actually go into the college to take the class
Are aps important?
like in the lecture hall
How many aps do I take?
i thought thats what DE was
dual enrolement
1000
does anyone like actually do self paced courses
no like intotal over 4 years, 5 is a good schedule if you wanna relax and have a chill time
btw r u sure college course is easy? cuz if its hard im literally gonna die under all this
i do
i take a bunch
and they are very easy
Fs
ok
How many have u taken if u don’t mind me asking?
how do you find the motivation to do self paced 💀
if you wanna get into T20, take a lot more
1
I plan on taking 5 in total
my school offers like 23
Which grade u in?
10
like fr im taking one rn (i'm not interested at all so maybe that's part of the issue??) but is very annoying to try and keep up with virutal self paced bc i have no motivation to

Is ap chem hard?
i don't ?
yeah
it gets b a d
im burnt tf out rn
do u think this is do-able?
de 2x means 2 per semester
i'm taking self paced precalc over this summer 💀
i like math tho so
i have to
💀
sorry 😟
good luck
what do u think
nah but lowkey
wait have you taken trig b4
i mean, idk how much time MB takes up for you, but for me it took up 28-38 hours a week depending on if it was Show season, so first sem, 3 might be too much.
just learn trig
well
mb?
like the unit circle and all that
my dad skipped precalc and it fucked him over
marching band
there is a l o t more
i do marching band
ok
marching band
drumline fr
Marching band is it good?
no
its tough
but all As do-able?
ok
i have my strategies
don't get too greedy
like what more 😃
💀
wdym
all of the trig identities, their derivatives. Some shit i haven't learned yet
attempting to get straight As with only 2 college courses drove me to physical illness (but i still got Straight As)
its part of precalc in general
i've also been looking at the ap precalc textbook bc it's coming to our school next year
it's the stupidest course ever
but it's a thing now
AP Precalc is literally a slower version of my schools course
and it covers wayyy less content
flashcards?
nah like new stuff
i need to learn precalc before i take the course
or at least have a basic grasp of it
khan
even if you think it's super fast paced throw it at me i'm a rlly fast learner when it comes to math
i just don't have the mtivation to do things
limits and derivatives
the powers rules
like khan academy for example
i did it for like
a month
bc i'm taking the sat in june
and i took a practice test (i felt overconfident) and got like a 1350
so i did practice straight for a month bc no way i'm happy with a 1350
double angle laws
and then i got a 1520 and im like "eh good enough for a freshman" and then i stopped 💀
do you know those?
i mean i know the concept
l e a r n them
power rules is alg 2
memorize them
limits ik the concept
theres more
derivatives arent that hard i think i learned them once and then forgot 💀
but i remember that they were easy
and double angle laws i've never heard of before
wdym
there was more powers rules that we learned in Precalc
they are very important in calc
such as ?
like
idk what to search up
"precalc power rules"
so more power rules, derivatives, limits, double angle laws or whatever
out of all of that, most important is double angle
yeah
and refresh on all identities
not just the ones you learned in GEo or Alg 2
we don't learn trig identities in alg 2 💀
all
wow
o h
it may be the last unit
yeah n
we have NOT learned that yet
ong
wait
nvm
we're learning it
like in 2 months
oh
mk
well it is very important in calc lol
also all of thw laws of logarithms and stuff
exponents
ye
i wish our schol let us skip smh
the only reason i'm doing this is bc it requires AB before BC
ah
and i want to take actual math
well in that case you'll prob be fine
yeah i'm taking AB next year hopefully
if my request for precalc over the summer goes through
AB is easy from what i've heard
(maybe) BC over the summer or self study or whatever
bc then i can take college math junior year 😃
fun
stanford precollegiate is rlly cool
Limits as x approaches a constant and as x approaches infinity.
learn those
they are pretty simple to understand
just learn the graphs and how to work with them
no its just a bad idea in general
BC exam is in May, self studying in the summer isn't gonna help
you can't really take college maths higher without it
i could self study BC while in AB
bc AB is kinda slow
and then take both AB and BC exams sophomore year
but also it will be pretty hard
hopefully
they don't have math after bc at my hs
well yeah, but if you go to a college, you;re limited to Lower Divisions courses, which is only 2 more semesters.
so after that, you can't really go above
oh yheah abt that
i was planning to do this
and there's also a program at princeton (i'm in nj) where if you max out a class in hs (finish max level), you can take the college equivalent there with other undergraduates
so i can take calc @ princeton with other undergrads senior year
if i wanted to
also gives college credits duh
it might not be worth it to go higher in math
focus on business focused application math
i feel like i have most of everything else planned out tho
like im following all of my passions and they all correlate to my major and will (hopefully) have a very noticeable impact
i just wanna actually take courses that interest me
which is math
yeah
my ecs are pretty good
my rigor is good
my grades are good enough
or will be at least
recc letters defo good
nothing i can do about essays
but like idk
i just like math
🤷♀️
imagine self studying ap calc in hs
now it's my turn to roast u haha
WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
NO FAIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
name?
PUPP?
What ecs do you do?
stfu
imagine being a WIND SEED
literally could not be me
yeah
haha
L
take that
also check dms
it’s somewhere on my spreadsheet lol i’ll check later but bc i’m doing it in 3 years i don’t have it memorized
wayyyyy too many
@vital olive hy
what
@vital olive suggest me ecs
you realize that by suggesting ecs you’re just going to be doing the same thing as everyone else right
Do you think this schedule is manageable if I also do NHS and Hope Squad?
have you taken any prior form of chemistry?
I would not recommend jumping into AP chem with no knowledge of chem
I am currently in Honors Chemistry.
Oh alright, that's good then
I think the schedule is definitely manageable, but AP chem along with Physics will be a challenge
AP Physics is something I have been debating, but I think it would be better to do it and hopefully get college credit instead of having to do a physics course in college.
Because the major I want to do in college requires me to take a basic physics class that AP Physics can get me out of.
If you're going into a sciency major, doing AP physics is definitely worth it
itll take out atleast a semester's worth of college classes
That includes medicine, right?
yeah
Physics is a pre-req to go into med school
^
Np, have a good day
I've also chosen to do AP Physics 1 next year
You too.
if that's what your doing
It is.
You too.
rip I'm doing precalc next year but my school not adopting the ap version 🫠
oof
good
AP is slower and over all worse than most schools versions
Oh
^
What? No I was asking if the schedule was good
Are math 4 and 5 meant to be 1 year long courses?
Math 4 is half a year and Math 5 is half a year their taken in the same year
aite uh I can't really say shit
This isn't a good indicator of your future or past cause I just don't know you that well
Nor do I know the requirements of your school or the wants of you
You just gave us a schedule and nothing else to base that off of. I can't say anything about that lol
My apologies
I wanna major in math or social science, idk which yet probably math
Rn im a sophomore and yea
Have you filled your requirements?
Have you taken a biology based course yet?
Actually what classes did you take before?
Yes, and I’m taking another one the upcoming months
Where do you want to go?
My only recommendations are AP English Language and AP Statistics because those 2 are really useful for every major
English Lang is not like the rest of the english courses you've taken, iirc you do not read any novels in Lang but instead you spend that time analyzing excerpts and articles and things like that
If you're gonna major in math then how come you aren't taking AP Physics? It would be a better course to take than Inorganic and AP Cchem
Ap lang is extremely useful but I wouldn’t survive
You absolutely would
Ap physics isn’t a thing at our school
Then how come you aren't taking any physics classes?
Idk tbh
Go take some form of physics class then Senior year
I also still encourage taking English Lang senior year, if you would like here is the syllabus your teacher is most likely going to use: https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/media/pdf/ap-english-literature-and-composition-course-and-exam-description.pdf
Determine from there if that seems a bit too hard for you to work through or not
That's the neat thing about AP Classes: You always exactly know what you're gonna be jumping into well before you even take the class
But yeah those are my recommendations:
Physics
AP English Language
AP Statistics
Stats if definitely one I’m doing
Is*
So here’s the thing, at my school, APUSH, Calc bc and AP Chem are ALL taught at the same time of the school year which is 2nd semester, and ap lang is taught either 1st or second, depending on the year, so that could be up too 4 ap’s at the same time
Does that make sense?
Most people in this serveer are taking 6 APs each semester lol
Thats dumb imo
Uh I definitely think it's possible, especially if you drop AP Chem
You took regular chem the year before, you don't really need AP Chem for a math or social science major
Physics and/or Psychology would service you better
I took psychology
Then yeah drop AP Chem in favor of Physics
Umm, honestly the reason for taking Ap Bio and chem is cause I just think science is important
Ok I’ll consider it
if you're trying to be a math major I got good news:
Physics is literally just the applications of math in the real world
It's one of the most important classes that a math major could possibly take lol
Alright I’ll definitely think abt that
today i pick my classes lmk if this good or any other recommendations. Gonna take cp english 12, ap gov, ap macro, ap stats, cp physics and culinary 1. I wanna take 5 periods but my parents want me to take 6 should i just be a TA or do drawing
Y'all know that you have to provide context to your schedules right?
Like I don't even know what you want to do in college, I don't know what classes you've taken before, I don't know what you're strong or weak in, I don't know where you want to go for college, nor do I know what the requirements of your school are
I recommend doing 6 classes unless you're really struggling with a workload
Taking an elective can give you some downtime
and in other ways can be more productive than a study hall
Get this pinned or something
CONTEXT
im going to 9th soon and plan to take ap classes throughout highschool, maybe ap hug, stats, bio, phyc, macro, or lang. i plan to go instate colleges to become an optometrist or any medical position. however, i do have more intrest to take extra curriclers and electives that are arts and community service mostly, rather than science and math
is that bad that im not taking anything similar to medical field if college admissions see it in the future
np
^^^ best thing said on this server
I was recommended to AVID even though I have a 3.95 . Is this bad
I am taking all honors next year also
I can take it in place of the required course college and career readiness. That course would be replaced with AVID
what is AVID and why does your GPA matter?
It is for students with 2.0 to 3.5 gpa. And for students who quote from science teacher "need that push to become honors students"
Mabey ur on the 504 or iep?
What does 504 and iep mean?
Google it
Ok
They're basically specific things given to students that are special needs
I'm not
Was your GPA a 3.95 Unweighted or Weighted
Oh you're in middle school
8th grade
If your teacher recommended it to you I encourage maybe reading about it for second and seeing if it's a good plan for you
Ok
Are u supposed to choose ur field based on wut u want to become in future?
Or like wut I should I focus on before I choose that specific field
Yeye
Don't worry about fields though you're not even a Junior lol
idk what career i want to go in
Literally me
is 9/13 AP classes considered high academic rigor?
High academic rigor is whatever the fuck your school considers high academic rigor
See pins
ohh ok
I Am overthinking it lol
you are
you have 3 fucking years lol
And even then a lot of unis don't actually let you pick a mjaor
Brown famously doesn't have majors, instead you get a certificate of education with a "focus" that you decide
And you also don't pick your focus until Junior year of college 💀
Wuts a focus
I just explained it
Damn
Brown University doesn't have degrees, instead you get a certificate of education with a "focus" on it
That's it
The Focus is the equivalent to a bachelors in x degree
Granted I could be wrong I do occasionally forgor 💀
Ok
My school held a meeting about the freshmen thing or idk for the fields ig and I missed both of them
Since then I do be overthinking everything
Guys I wanna do engineering in the Netherlands since I’m from the Netherlands. But I heard a lot of stories that after you have the (civil) engineering diploma you can do a lot in other countries and that it’s useful in other countries. Is that true?

ye
some company may hire civil engineers from overseas lol
A lot do
There's a lack of civil engineers around the world
I think the only country that doesn't have a lack of Civil Engineers is like UAE lol
TRUE
hi! is this a good schedule?
- PE 10 (required by state)
- driver's theory (required by state)
- algebra 2 cp (i'm a year ahead here)
- chemistry cp
- spanish 3 honors
- english 2 honors
- us history 1 honors
- ap seminar
- graphic design 2 (also a year ahead here)
potential classes:
- ap gov
- ap human geo
- social media marketing
- intro to foods (helps fill a grad req)
btw im a year ahead in graphic design and math, so i want to continue on the graphic design track if i am able, since i can get more advanced opportunities a year earlier than normal kids would
and just for some background, im taking ap world this year, however, the highest i can go for sophomore year is honors, and my schools levels are general, college prep, honors, and ap for select grades/classes
and im taking spanish 2 cp this year, however, my guidance counselor says im in this middle territory where i can really do either spanish 3 cp or spanish 3 honors
and my parents are supportive of the idea of spanish 3 honors
they were like "yeah you have the grades to support it, we say it's up to you"
so if we're counting, that's:
- 2 general classes (cause pe and health)
- 2 cp classes
- 3 honors
- 1 ap
not counting electives
cept for ap seminar
Is this for sophomore year of hs?
yep
and im also ahead in spanish too
so im already taking harder rigor in 3 classes, and even harder rigor in... 1
That's pretty good. It seems like your schedule is already a bit packed and I have no idea how courses work at your school, but I'd recommend taking another AP if possible
yeah, im gonna try to
however, not many aps are offered for sophomores
Yeah that's fine. It's like that at my school too. If possible though, try taking some APs (The one's you mentioned are fine!)
the ones for sophomores are:
- ap comp sci principles (can't take A unless ya did alg 2 honors and a compsci class)
- ap hug
- ap gov
- ap art history
and ap seminar
yeah we only got like 5 aps available for sophomores
so its not great
See pins for the AP exams
Also there is no benefit to taking APs that early
That's more than the average school
im goin into sophomore year 4 context
The average school offers 0-1 APs for Sophomores
yeah
See pins
im takin one ap as of rn
Do not take all of those APs unless you really want to
maybe two if i can sneak one in
ap seminar i really want
and i can only take two this year anyway
so
cant, cause thats a junior and up thing
unless i get administrative approval, which is super hard to ge
Ask your counselor about what is required for you to have the "most demanding schedule" box ticked off your school report form
There's no benefit to going over it
ah alr
most of my classes are stayin consistent, and one's moving up
one's going down because there's no aps offered for social studies as like a core class
the ones that ARE offered are electives
isn't 3.95 a high gpa? the best is a 4.0 though? how is that low?
There's a thing called a weighted GPA which is not the same as an unweighted GPA
some classes will give you a +1 to your GPA causing you to get a higher GPA than usual
So an example, if I manage to get straight As in all of my courses I would graduate high school with a 4.51/4 GPA that is weighted, but my unweighted GPA would be a 3.75
Ye
when you say strait a's, is it like, never getting anything wrong?
That's a A average
Changes from school to school
Straight As in my school would be a 90+ in each class (with some exceptions)
That does not mean an average of 90 on every assignment
Some classes have a thing where they will make assignments in one category have more weight than assignments in other categories
So like getting a 100% on a test has more weight than a 100% on a homework assignment
This is how I'm able to have a 94 in my Math class despite my homework grade being a D I think lol
ohh, hehe
soo
I have to figure out how my school does it
How your class does it
Different classes have different ways of grading
If I tried to do the same thing in my AP World History class I would have like a C cause my AP World teacher doesn't do that
And in my Algebra II class the requirements for an A is an 80 or above rather than a 90 or above
🥹 this is geting sooo confusing
It's not as confusing as you think it is
let me show you rq
So this is what I see in my Algebra II class
You can see how tests make up 50% of my grade, so when I got a 143/140 on my tests, I have a boost to that section of my grade
And if you also look the maximum amount of points for my tests is 140 and for my quizzes it's 400, but my maximum for homework is 2300
So if my practice assignments were given an equal amount of weight as my tests or quizzes I would have a C in that class rn, but because they're not I have an A in it instead
But if we look in my AP World History class, all assignments such as homework, tests, and classwork are thrown together and all receive the same amount of weighting
So it's only your total points that matters
(points are just how much an assignment is worth, some assignments have more points and others don't)
ahhh, so much. If this is the case, does one small test bring your gpa down a lot?
Are these classes good for my sophomore year?
Academic World Lit
Academic Geometry
Honors Algebra II
Honors Biology
Honors World History
AP Computer Science A
[Elective] Astronomy I
[Elective] P.E.
I'ma need a staff member to pin this message lol:
When you're posting "is this a good schedule" or questions like that you are not giving is nearly enough information on whether or not it is a good schedule. When asking questions like that please also include the following information:
What are your schools graduation requirements and which of them have you fulfilled?
What university do you want to go to?
What degree(s) are you interested in? If not interested in a degree then what field?
What are the other options for you and why are you interested in those options? If you aren't certain than give us some options of classes we can give you?
What AP, IB, or DE classes have you taken so far?
@wise forge my boy, I'm sorry to make you pin another message lol but I don't want to turn that message into a macro
i got you
🤝
mah boy
so now @worthy flare , see the newly pinned message that's literally just below your message lol
is AP world difficult? i know the difficulty kinda depends on each person but like from an objective perspective or on a scale of 1-10 how hard is it? some ppl have been telling me its easy and others saying its awful 😭
My AP World is a solid 5/10. Average difficulty
but I also have a godly teacher though
Very teacher dependent like exotica said
I didn't find it that bad though and my teacher was pretty crap
was pretty interesting actually
ooh ok cool!
would it be okay to do Ap calc A-B and then do Stats after
or should i continue on to BC
It depends. Do you want a potentially more in depth study of calculus? BC is basically AB with more topics and is more fast paced and in depth
But I haven't taken them yet its just what I've heard from others
it just depends on class, teacher, program
tbh na
im just tryna do AB and then stats
rel
real
bc is just basically part 2 of calculus
and ab is part 1
so bc u go over more concepts and maybe more difficult ones too
and more specific
always good to know ab or related
cant u do both?
Colleges like BC more than stats
if u see ur doing good with bc ten ur good with stats
if u arent doing good with bc then u know what to work on
depends on u
yeah
When considering extracurricular there are lots of factors you should consider when choosing what kind of extracurricular you want.
- Time: Do you have enough time to manage both your extracurriculars and academics?
- What major? What do you want to major in? If you know, be as specific as possible.
- What are some resources/platforms you tried finding extracurriculars?
- What can you gain from this extracurricular?
- What extracurriculars or aspect of the activity does university look at? Contribution? Community? Leadership? Teamwork? Impact? etc
It's already pinned mah boy
Does anybody know link crew
yes
im the pres and founder for it at our school
I’m doing it next year
great
If I get accept as a link crew leader
just be nice and u prob will
What should I aspect
aspect?
u should expect to be interviewed, to contrubute to ur school and to devote some time to it
Alright
if u have questions lmk
Are the interview questions about me
kinda
their more generic and not specifically for u
And why should I be chosen to be in link crew
idk if i can share our staff stuff like the questions but its kinda generic
Something like that
yeah, something like that
btw what activities do yall do in ur school?
just courious since every school is different
Like we do tours for the incoming freshmen
thats it?
No
We help out ASB
With assemblies
And stuff like that
I don’t remember
Cause it going to be my first year in link crew next year as a senior in high school
i color coded my 4 yr plan again cus I was bored
whats the red
^ dual enrollment inelligble just means that the school I will take the course at possibly offers Dual Enrollment opporunities, but I would be inelligible due to my home school not allowing Dual Enrollment
look at the key
seems fine
my schedule needs to be upgraded but its gonna cost $$$$$
cuz of the 11 unit limit
huh
Yeah
i wish i had $$$
Only if 1, I attend my home school for at least 2 academic classes, have the credits required to graduate by spring of junior year ( Which I will have all of them, so i could grad early if I wanted), and i don't drop below a C in any classes at my Home School
same
I wanted to get an internship or take another class but I have to get a job
just because of how poor my family is
what position
wdym
oh, im doing internship next yr
ok
eh
from?
everything
how
I drove myself to illness last semester
i wouldn't sleep for days at a time bc of lack of time, and I didn't eat more than 1 meal a day
- constant stress and work
just do ur work at school
for me, i usally dont eat 3 meals
usally just 2 or 1
if its 1, i just shove my mouth with anything
I packed my days too full
uhh
kinda?
Basically I did mock trial, marching band, chamber choir, concert choir, Aca dec, a few honor choirs, math team, and then a few concert band things but that required 1 meeting a week.
Marching band took up around 38 hours a week
Mocktrial 24
Aca dec?
Academic Decathalon
i c
yeah
So I was overworked and then I drove myself to such bad illness i couldn't even use my phone
no
elebrate
this is why you limit yourself
and you don't burn out
and almost have to take incompletes on half your courses
Any one is here who is preparing for neet?
@stuck smelt
I have 7 subject || physics chemistry math biology English Information practice and psychology. In my country Top 5 subject marks are counted. So, should I skip chemistry. And English is mandatory in all of the subject which I tell above. I want to pursue computer science, Ai, entrepreneurship.
Not preparing for NEET?
No only sat
Psychology and informatics practices are the subjects that are considered additional/optional.
Chemistry, physics, maths, bio is your main subject and English is required tol
Too*
In your case 5 subjects will be main since u opted for pcmb
But top 5 subject are counted
And rest will be considered additional however their scores maybe considered while calculating overall percentage
Pcmb and eng then ig
No if you fail in any subject then optional are counted
Incase of if you didn't gave any paper
@ripe geyser
@austere tulip
See pins
Done
do you actually need to take biology
it doesn't seem to fit what you're pursuing
bruh
@warped jewel biology is optional
Yeah sry I forgot abt that😅
i already told u about this
What
To all the fellew CSE students out there,
I have read about the the course and job related to CSE and many of them tell us, how CSE is just glaring at blue screen for hours and hours with difficult maths(although thats not a problem for me) but is it true? if it is, how much??
do you really have to work 8 hours daily just glaring at the screen, is it even worth it? Like they sound they are very frustrated from their jobs and say that they now hate their jobs but are trapped in a life long loop of doing the thingy
I am now considering if any other fields are any better?
I am for now aiming to be an game developer btw..
how?
going to parties? going on breaks?
I am not a club guy tbh
Oh boy, game developer... I would walk another path if I were u
No
I meant like working while also making it inteesting
why? any particular reason?
Prime example of overworked and underpaid
oh, really?
Yes
For sure
You know how a lot of game companies produce low quality as of recent
Bc they are trying to meet a deadline
hm, then what about others? website dev? app dev? frontend dev?
oh I didnt knew that
well technically yea, cuz of coding and stuff
its not fixed yet but I was trying to figure out if CSE is even worth its hype and competitiveness?
Financially yeah
ERWC English class is going to be interesting next year
whats ERWC?
Expository reading writing and creavity
Is just all essays
The less people the better 🙌
no
is there any california people here
ye
And for 4wks 💀
It's actually pretty prestigious I believe, it's just expensive but they offer financial aid and scholarships
for senior year should i take pre calc or go straight to calc
oh wait nvm, i can take Calc A with pre calc, but should i do that or only pre calc
Take precalc over the summer and go into calc
Ill ask my school if thats a option
if i do that then i can do AP calc
and make that #4 AP
maybe add a 5th one
Hii has anyone taken ap physics 1
upcoming Sophmore and i'm thinking about taking it but don't nkow
Have you taken Algebra II and have you taken Chemistry yet?
Those are the 2 prerequisites
No and No!!
I'm taking algebra 2 next year
but this will be my third year doing physics
I did physical science in 8th, honors conceptual physics right now and then i'm considering ap next year
Do both first then
AP Physics 1 requires a strong background in chemistry for some reason lol
I haven't actually taken it but in most schools I've looked at they always say you need completion of algebra II (or concurrent enrollment) as well as completion of Chemistry
will i not survive if i take them all at same time?
take regular or honors chem first
That's a really dumb fucking idea but you'll survive
The issue si that you'll barely survive lol
Well actually I'm not you
But there is a reason why they advise the completion of both first
i have faith in u ben alg 2 is easy to undeerstand
No need to rush things, nobody really cares in the long run
ayeee thx
It's also annoying as fuck
i enjoyed it
What's the derivative of sine?
we like relearnt trig bcuz of covid
Like solving $$log(\frac{x^2+3}{x-2})$$
Exotica
my geometry class was all on zoom 😦
fuck solving this shit
cosine I believe
it is
this never goes away
Taking the log of a rational problem?
I do not really see the usage of such a weird thing
no
Okay but unit circle
Granted it's not actually that difficult, to solve this you set it to equal 0 and then do {10^0} to cancel the log and you get $$\frac{x^2+3}{x-2}=1$$ which from there is actually fairly easy to solve
never memorized it and never will

Love that for you but I sadly cant say the same😭
i only remembered like 2 values for my calc test
And especially going to pre calc without barely remembering anything
As in like the values for where the different radians are?
we were required to remember the table of values
"what's a quarter of the way through a circle?" "tau/4"
But atleast the teacher wasnt a total jerk
Every time 2pi pops up you turn it into tau or you can just multiply it by 2pi on both sides lol
tau is just useful
I gave him a 8/10 on my last day of school gift tradition
2pi=tau
it's the ratio of the radius over the circumpherence of a circle
aka what the fuck a Radian is
ohh yeah
2pi radians is just how many times the radius covers the circumference of a circle
radians>degrees
$${\tau}$$
Exotica
that's mah boy tau
pi
i forgot that i had to record tommorow lol, my practice session for today was 3hrs
Euler defined tau as pi!
Euler's first definition of pi was 6.28
I once had a nightmare about alg 2 when I was a sophmore 😭
euler as in the euler constant guy?
I never knew school could haunt me
Euler as in Leonhard Euler, the man who invented like 50% of maths lol
Yeah Euler constant
music is hard
Just press your finger into holes🙄
He has so many things named after him that there's a fucking wikipedia page for ti https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_things_named_after_Leonhard_Euler
In mathematics and physics, many topics are named in honor of Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler (1707–1783), who made many important discoveries and innovations. Many of these items named after Euler include their own unique function, equation, formula, identity, number (single or sequence), or other mathematical entity. Many of these entities ...
u wanna try?
that’s why choirs better tbh
i gotta record this tommorow, the hard part is at everywhere: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN4pvzT8C6k&ab_channel=ClassicalSheetMusic
Cécile Chaminade (1857–1944) was a French composer and pianist. She is one of the few female composers we know. This piece, the Flute Concertino in D major, op. 107, was composed in 1902 for flute and piano. Years later, the composer arranged it for flute and orchestra. It was a commission for the Paris Conservatoire in 1902 dedicated to Paul Ta...

“muscle memory”
staff team on the immense amount of copium required to keep me in check
how long does she have?
what level r u at
Muscle memory takes a long ass time to develop
wdym what level?
like intermediate or professional
It changes from people to people but I had to go at a piece for a little over 4 months
also like do u not practice scales
Obviously not pro, yet
He wins state-wide competitions
Do not believe what he says
i do
i have like 3 books dedicated to technique and scales lol
like 3-4 books
what instrument
Trombone
ew
Actually that probably explains why it took that long to develop muscle memory
We have nowhere to fucking go for our notes we just sorta feel it out
flute is hard tho

It's an easy class and it's a good introduction to APs but once you take any of the AP histories I do not encourage you take it
It's more a warm up for the AP histories
that is just so random
@austere tulip physics or chemistry what subject should I skip
Isnt that a very self explanatory question?
why would he be asking if he didn't know the answer
Idk, cuz thats what a lot of people do

how hard will it be to take ap physics c if i've only taken normal physics and not ap physics 1?
I DON'T KNOW U AT ALL
HOW CAN I SAY
lol
Guys I managed to tweak my schedule a little
I should be taking AP English language, AP physics, french 2, math 3, pre calculus, drafting architecture 3, wind ensemble, and American history.
Next year I mean
See pins
Good, but I recommend more APs
Matters on your ability
your previous academic history
also matters on the aps themselves
cuz ur 6 APs could be hug psych econ csp precalc apes, which are all jokes
