#course-selection

Yeah
You really couldn't get more rigorous than that besides maybe doing AP precalc or IBDP
AP Precalc isn’t offered at my school sadly
If this is the case then ping me for things related to the IB Diploma I got connections 💀
Yeah
You can't get any more rigorous than that
Maybe drop AP Psych for something else if you really don't like psych or something
idk
Cool. Thank you for the advice
Oh yeah maybe, take a class or 2 at a local CC if you want some free college creds but that's a strong maybe
other than that have fun, I can't imagine being a full AP LOSER
Yeah go for it, you'll do well lol they're all easy
Granted, what are you gonna do next year?
My dumbass
Dw
are you a senior?
or do you have more time in HS?
and if so what will you do next year?
I'm a freshman 🧍🏻
my brother in christ
do not take 6 fucking APs sophomore year
wtf?
that's some stupid shit
alll the APs are easy but see if there's anything elses that interests you
if not then yeah go for it
I won't don't worry..
is there any actual art in ap art history
I'll take them across high school.
bc i kinda got like a D- in art seventh grade
and a B- eighth
but it’s the only good elective
bc ap
i think its more like studying how art works and different eras of art
like no actual art
but facts about art
I don't think so
it's more just the study of fancy art and shit
bet
should i take it even if i hate art
it’s the only ap
everything else is unweighted
also we’re only allowed to take like 2 ap’s as a sophomore lol
bc that’s max
oh wait no 3 now
bc of ap precalc
Ask counselor for a boost
or early on in the year ask for a boost
that's what I did
in my school sophomores are only allowed AP World but I got AP Bio by telling asking my bio teacher to put me into AP Bio
If your current teacher suggests that you go to a different class I think they'll allow it
so like legit: first day next year tell your bio teacher or something if you can go up to AP Bio
I don't think we got AP bio here.
we can take like unlimited aps sophomore year i think
bc the 5th is not convenient
good
i dont actually know but im taking 3 next year hopefully, i really wanna skip alg 2
you cacn take 2 i think
don't
for the love of god STOP FUCKING SKIPPING ALGEBRA II
I may be infuriated at the # of people who think skipping algebra II is a good idea
may be
im self studying and im working with my dad who is very qualled to teach math
like im going thru it at a good pace
Skip geometry for all I care
just do not skip algebra II
it is the most intensive math class
yeah
and is the most important in high school lmao
it's like trying to skip spanish 1 and immediately enter into spanish 4
that's how big of a jump we're talking when you skip algebra II
idc if your dad is a native spanish speaker, the spanish you learn in school is diferent than the one in the real world
same logic for algebra II
yeah
and your dad will most likely smack you for doing something that dumb 💀
you can not self learn logarithms fuck that shit
the major difficulty in calculus is the algebra
when u do high level math
im gonna study over the rest of the year and the summer to prep
so if you skip algebra II, you're skipping the thing that leads up to the most difficult thing
You are not
you and I both know damn well you aren't
💀
today in calc ab we had to find where $5\sin^2{(x)}\cos{(x)}$ is negative and all of my class couldnt do it analytically
hiidostuff | '24 | STEM Guy
RIGHT 💀
there's also no benefit
That's why I did CBEs to get my language credits.
my peers could not tell you that a function like $\ln{(7^x)}$ is linear
hiidostuff | '24 | STEM Guy
and I'm quite literally the best kid in my algebra II class
and I almost got tripped up by that
best as in most competent?
And I've been going at it for 6 months
im talking about in calc ab btw
highest scorer, etc
I'm just talking about the log
and multivariable
either way
we arent telling you this because we dont think you are smart Pete
i have 5 months to study
alg 2 is easy
we are telling you this for your own mathematical good
geo is harder than a2 imo
im very confident in myself
I do not care if you think synthetic division is easy
it's not
Good
like i have always been a fast learner
Pete
we arent going to stop you
a2 is like the free-est class ever
take it from me
but i promise you
I am quite literally a gifted child
the jump from algebra 1 to 2
bro
I have a little sheet that says it
how do you guys think that a2 is hard i’m not even capping
Algebra II will fuck you up if you try to learn it over the summer
pssh who cares about the stupid gifted shit
Fuck Logarithm properties
i dont care if ur fucking Fermat, if he was a 14 year old kid
he would struggle too
Fuck synthetic division
uh
Fuck graphing exponentials
Long division🤮
would i be insulting
fuck transformation
not long division
easy
I mean synthetic
It is
Synthetic is easy
its easy but ur saying this from a perspective after u know this stuff
you think u know it
no even while i was learning it
THe issue:
it's easy to mess up
but as soon as u have to use these techniques
but if you just like
they are hidden
know what you’re doing
the major issue with algebra is that it's so easy to mess up
you’re fine
yes it is
and then it's a bunch of memorization
you just need to not be stupid
My teacher teaches it at the speed of an ap class
geniuses mess up math frequently
and then you have the BS that is log properties
log properties are so easy
ONG
loga(b)+loga(c)
and it'll piss you off
boom
also im good at quadratics and stuff, like i was good at alg 1
addition?
alg 2 is much different
me when I make multiplication into addition
no
it’s a diff thing
it's something else
that i gave my answer to
yeah
alright
demonstrating a log property
you seem determined enough to not care what others say, trust me ive been there
and you probably shouldn't
i know that, its just nice to hear what others think
Yeah
Also:
Just having the extra time to practice is useful
kicks ur ass
Think of it taht way
you'll have way more time to practice algebra II if you take it over the course of a year rather than a summer
and since Algebra II is the basis that calc is on
it means that the base for you to learn calc is stronger
multiplication of 2 logs with different bases
change of base yeah
you get:
((ln(a)/ln(b))/((ln(c)/ln(d))
God I wish there was another way to write that
just use latex
cause I want to make sure somebody doesn't fuck up their math career as a person who loves math lmao
yeah
the fucking bot won't let me
oof
$see
$see$
hiidostuff | '24 | STEM Guy
easy mode
yes
open close statement
$((ln(a)/ln(b))/((ln(c)/ln(d))$
Exotica
man thinking about what it takes to prove the quantity for rotational inertia of a sphere is painful
imagine taking physics rn
and not next yaer
couldn't be me
$\frac{\frac{\ln{a}}{\ln{b}}}{\frac{\ln{c}}{\ln{d}}}}$
what
hiidostuff | '24 | STEM Guy
Compile Error! Click the
reaction for more information.
(You may edit your message to recompile.)
no
theres a better way to write this...
thats a fuck up
ap physics c mechanics
it's literally (lna*lnc)/(lnb**lnd)
shapes that are smooth in every direction are hard to do
i mean itd be easy to do a triple integral on a sphere
but then it doesnt work
imagine knowing how to do shell method
couldn't be me
nah shell method doesnt work either
damn
$\frac{\dd V}{V_T} = \frac{\dd m}{m_T}$
hiidostuff | '24 | STEM Guy
I'ma be honest I thought shell method was just an alternate way to do double integrals
u just convert dm to 3 coordinate differentials
granted
I'm only taking algebra II
🧌
me when I spread MISINFORMATION that I HEARD ONCE on the internet because I like LYING
$\frac{\dd m}{m_T} = \frac{\partial x \partial y \partial z}{V_T}$
damn it
idk how to do partials
hiidostuff | '24 | STEM Guy
nice
$I = \int r^2 \dd m = \frac{3m_T}{4\pi R^3} \int\int\int (x^2 + y^2 + z^2) \dd x , \dd y , \dd z$
wait why are there 3 improper integrals in front of each other?
hm
oh well loser shit
couldn't be me
hiidostuff | '24 | STEM Guy
Oh well
thats better lookin
Ok wait
hiidostuff | '24 | STEM Guy
which it evidently doesnt
😦
I got betteer things to do than learn calculus rn
i might sum discs together
are u doing calc bc next year??
what tat
it's an IB class
you take it for 2 years
and it covers a bunch of shit
give me a second
no therer's more
it's ab+bc+stats+geometry+functions+algebra
I'm taking HL pathway
I'm missing context, but I've taken Calc AB and Im taking Calc BC right now so maybe I could be of some assistance?
I think he's talking about physics C mechanics
but for him he's trying to find the rotational inertia of a sphere
I'm
crying at my class list
Really? Well okay, thats a little different... also wait if he's doing that why is he in course selection lol
Eh, anyways, I had a question: should I do a fourth year of language if I'm aiming for UCs or Ivy Leagues?
no, I will NOT be learning the wave model
I have to learn that
idk what it is
and I'm scared
We were talking about shit lol
I dont need help tho
Probably not
you're fine
3 years is enough for most
I think UCs reccomends 3
Good luck with that, sounds like a nightmare
Looks like a shitty class
it's taken over the course of 2 years
But still so many different things
Question if I take multiple year long classes as an example Spanish 2, Ap Psychology, Marketing and drawing and design what happens will I just be doing the same thing the whole year or do I have to choose 2 yearlong classes and 2 semester classes?
If it makes it worse:
it's a zero period
I take that class every day before school starts
Before school???
every fuckind day
yeye
I have jazz band every other day before school
7:02-8:25
every day besides monday
I learn physics
:')
I love physics though
so it's cool
I learn everything inside of both AP Cs + more
I don't think physics Cs goes over wave behaviour and nuclear/quantum physics do they?
oh so not fields or thermodynamics?
I thought fields were covered in emag and thermodynamics in mechanics?
Any AP recommendations if i wanna go into Landscape Architecture?
Don't think so
Both are in app2 tho
3d art and design
I think that's an AP right?
probably is
and if it's just architecture uh
literally anything art related lol
if you want to do engineering then AP maths and AP Physics
Alright thanks!
Damn I be covering 3 years of content in 2 years
🧠
that's just IB in general
Fields are too complex for phys c emag btw
istg if I don't make it to a >20% acceptance rate for this shit I am going to weep
Maxwell equations are for calc 3
For some class u did in high school?
Definitely not a maker or breaker
the full diploma
give me a second
theoretically with the IBDP I get to turn UChicago into a safety
of course
I don't actually get that
but it's still funny to say that
I do a little bit of torture
but yeah IBDP is dope
you take 3 HL classes and 3 SL classes (or 4 HLs and 2 SLs like I'm doing but I'm alsoa fucking nerd)
- you have to log all the times you work out, do something for the community, and do something creative
if you dodn't log enough items you don't get the diploma
you also have to do a project in one of those fields
if you don't you don't get the diploma
- you have to write a 4000 word essay
if you don't you don't get the diploma
- you have to take a theory of knowledge class
if you don't you don't get the diploma
so fun!
but
also 60% UChicago acceptance rate
hey can someone tell me if taking AP World History my sophmore year is worth it? I’m already going to be tackling all honors + a dual enrollement for college chemistry. Should I stick with AP World History or chose normal World History. I have never taken an AP before.
It is
don't take regular world history
that shit is 10x more difficult than the AP class
oh really??
if you dont mind could you tell me why is it harder
ive heard AP is a lot more reading and individ work
AP is a lot more reading but less homework
most actual history classes have you doing like presentations and shit
and a bunch of projects throughout the year
because of how fast pace AP world is, you quite literally have no time for that
so it's just reading and taking notes
that's all of your homework
you read for 8 hours a month and take notes
ooh alright, thank you !!
Sorry that I’m asking a lot of questions but would Ap psychology be a semester thing or what? Also does “computer science principles” replace the requirement for “computer science discoveries”?
1: no, there are no AP classes that are prescribed on a semester basis and there never will be
2: Probably, ask your counselor
Okay thank you 🙏
No but seriously thank you I finnaly figured out what ima do for sophomore year
Is technology good course to take?
Go for it I think its worth it.
we have sem courses 🫢
Is AP Psychology a good class to take for my Sophomore year?
Yeah I heard it was fairly east
Just take world history regular
Like im doing next year as a 10th grader
How are IVY courses for comp engineering
do not
World History Regular fucks you over way more than AP World
The AP History classes are far easier than their non AP versions lmao
the histories are one of the few examples where AP classes are easier than their non AP versions (the other ones like this are the AP foreign languages and the AP arts)
for a really dumb reason
because of its pace
Also i'd say that every AP class is easier than it's non AP varitent
theres a lot of reasons why but going over AP world the reason why it's easier is becuase of how fast it goes
non AP world history goes at a snails pace because you have to do SO MANY FUCKING PROJECTS
however, with AP world just simply due to the rate you're going at, most likely the only homework you're going to get for the full year is reading and taking notes on the textbook
Ok
- its also standardized
which is the reason why I say there's an argument to be made for why AP is easier than non AP
Cause if let's say we're talking about the American revolution in world history, if you look up "American Revolution for high School world history" you're going to get an extremely variable amount of detailing
some schools talk about it a lot, others barely glare over it
and since the sources for those help sites are often students or teachers, they have no idea what degree of detail you need
however, for AP world since the degree of detail is always hte same, when you google "American Revolution AP World History" you're going to get the same information regardless of what site you pick
Is skipping Bio really that detrimental? My school acts like it’s a requirement for college even though my school doesn’t require it. Would a class like environmental science be a good sub or should I really take bio?
The way my school make course selection makes taking a co-enroll for science very hard, that’s why I want to skip
Most schools require a year of a biological science so you should just take bio lmao. Especially as ES is probably more useless than Bio
I would have thought schools require Life Science and Laboratory Science, Life being Biology and/or ES and Lab being physics or chem
Life science is a biological science
So ES counts
But it’s significantly more useless unless you want to get into ES
If you do then skip bio
If not then skip ES instead of bio
K
I am going to be a senior this coming fall and this is what I was thinking of taking: AP statistics, AP Econ. (One semester), Honors Physics, AP British and World Literature, Spanish III, Consumer behavior.
I really only need one semester of history and one year left of English finish my credits required to graduate but i have to take a minimum of 4 classes next year (school requirements) and I’m looking into business/marketing so I might take consumer behavior. As well just doing recommended a-g requirements. Also I am a college student so I’ll be taking two classes on top of my course selection above. Is it too many classes for senior? I am trying just to raise my gpa as much as possible since it is going to be my last year
Has anyone taken a VHS course. If so could u give me some guidance
ok, first of all, that's wrong
Ap government
1 semester
There's two of them
Ap US gov
and Ap Comp gov
and then Ap microecon and AP macroecon
one sem each
there's 4 classes prescribed on a semester basis
this is good, considering you're doing classes from a college as well
THo i'm curious
what's AP British???
Oh yeah I forgot.
My school did things differently where US Gov and Comp Gov are 1 full year and micro+macro econ are 1 full year
ap british 😭 -
yheah idk
I wanted to take these classes in Junior year, any opinions? I want to try and get into a good college.
AP Prep English
AP Calc BC
AP US History
AP Computer Science Applications
AP Chem
AP physics 2
Honors Debate
Forensics (debate related)
Chamber Orchestra
Spanish 2
that's a very full schdule
but it should be fine
10 classes??
ap cs not too hard
Idk how u manage that but
ap chem and physics will be hard to handle together
Honors Debate and forensics are different sems
oh ok
balance it out
Yea but I'm a physics nerd so I'd like to learn it lol
I think that's a good schedule
if u have a previous history
of doing good in lots of classes
with lots of aps
then go ahead
Ok great thx
some of those classes sholdn't be too hard. Especially since ur a physics nerd, calc, physics, and chem shouldn't be too difficult
apush I've heard has lots of hmwk
I can handle it after all I don't do anything lol
I mean my APUSH class has reading hw but I don't do it
but you're in 9th right now?
so in 10th are you going to do some aps?
Yes
2 of them which I can only do 3 in total for sophomore year
oh ok
I can't do the 3rd bc my schedule 😭
so debate's a class for u?
Yea
2 is good for sophomore year anyways
Ok nice 👍
I mean
and usually junior year is the hardest year
For me it's senior year
plus like it also matters on the aps
4 APs is def good enough tho
I mean I was talking to an MIT admit and the course rigor + GPA I have vs what I'm able to do is good
yeah that's good
Ig for my school tho
The max amount of APs u can do is like
9 or 10 over ur whole high school career
we don't have limits at our school
That's just how many APs we have
i mean it's set up in a way you probably can't do more than like 14
but there's no formal limits
My school just doesn't let freshies take any
Yea there is no limits for us either
like I think that's equivalent to censorship(u might disagree with me)
like if someone wants to max their education
why are they being stopped?
Seeing that's not the definition of censorship I definitely agree
Frfr
it's their choice
Bc freshman don't get high school
And our school doesn't want high schoolers to screw themselves over potentially
i mean there's also some really easy ap classes
like HUg
CSP
Fair point but what if there are high schoolers that already are smart enough to take AP classes
that too
Yeah
Like I'm really good at computer science but they won't let me take APCSP or APCSA when I already know both the languages they teach
why not
I'm fine with not being allowed to take APs in freshman year tho
also csp doesn't really teach a language
Bc I'm a freshie
its more general coding
Yea
Definitely better things to do with ur freshman year
oh
Well I'm not doing csp
cuz I feel like it's useless
i'm probably going to do csa
My school doesn't have AP CompSci
That's what I was saying but then my cs teacher said I should probably do it 😭
lol
people really overestimate ap classes
Yea
are u doing any aps this year?
I'm still a freshie 😭
I'm doing all honors this year
yeah that's good
I'm doing 4 APs and 0 honors this year
There's honors English but scheduling issues 😎
is it due to scheduling issues, or…
FL is kind of a problem- they don’t need 4 FL, but they want to see you max an FL (eg. take until AP)
history isn’t importsnt
honestly, if you wanna do business, Lit and Macro
but what classes do you really want to take?
bc ap phys c is still very good
Im planning ahead for when I get to highschool what are like the most rigorous classes a freshman can take
honestly, idk as idk how rigorous cc is and i personally don’t have experience with it
APs if offered
What can I do in middle school that will make my chances of getting AP classes higher
Should I take geometry over the summer before 10th grade? I’m in on level math right now, and my school has the IB diploma. In order to do this, I would need to be in a higher math. Is there another math class I should take over the summer, or another way to get passed both algebra 2 and geometry by the end of 10th grade?
Why not take AP English Lang this year and Lit next year?
The 2 are meant to pair with each other
Chances of getting AP Classes higher? If you mean how can you prepare for AP classes in highschool then I would recommend trying to get all A's
My school doesnt offer AP Lang sadly
Both are possible, ask your guidance counselor for help
Luckily middle school is easy so shouldnt be a problem
However, note that you don't need Alg. II if you're taking maths SL
either AA or AI SL
Thansk
but if you're taking AI or AA at HL then yeah you're probably going to need it
Thanks
has anyone taken genocide? my counselor is recommending me to take that cause i have a blank spot in my course selection for my senior year.. its a semesters course
Wait you can just opt in? I thought you had to be selected
I mean ig it kind of just depends on what you want to do. If you want better and more challenging math classes go for it like I did but if you dont want that then dont
No you can just select the course you will never have to be selected by people
Thats crazy
there might be prerequisites to some like AP Bio for my school says that you should have at least taken Honors Bio 1
but that all you can just simply select the course
Alright
Nothing lmao
Most schools only offer 1 AP class in 9th grade so take that
AP is not all that different from a regular high school class
Alright
I thought honors was the fast one and AP is like a college course
so if the difficulty of a class is a sigmoid curve, an AP class hits the critical point earlier than the non-AP equivalent
Same thing but you get college credit for one and it is more difficult apparently
Nope college is nothing like AP!
the "more difficult" thing is debatable lmao
if you take the test
yea fair
Either way
What on earth is a sigmoid curve
S curve
gimmie a sec
If you shift that blue line to the right by like 2 you get a normal class
that blue line is an AP or honors class
so it's generally pretty easy first semester and then it fucks you over second semester
unlike a regular class which is pretty easy the first 3 quarters and then fucks you over the last quarter
So you're getting fucked for longer, that make sense?
^ Normal people call that logistic
Actually wait sigmoids might hit their capacity
Idk
Is career tech very important to do bc I don’t rly wanna do it my counselor recommends I take two periods CIS in junior and senior year but I rly wanna do language, my major in college is probably gonna be computer science. In stead of cis, can I do stuff online like learning python or other things and try to get internships for stuff
You should probably try joining something like a coding club or something like that or if your school has a cs course take that. You can also study online but it would take a lot of time to actualy start understanding stuff so I always recommend a teacher
My honors classes were more difficult than my AP classes Ngl
Wow thats crazy
Cause they overestimate the difficulty of AP classes so they make their classes super hard as “preparation”
Precalculus Honors was harder than Calculus BC
Honors English 2 was way harder than AP Lang
Probably if your counselor is reccomending it to you lol
Thank you
What subject is AP music theory im probably going to take it
music
btw if u dont have any background knowledge in ap mt, it might be hard for u
Luckily i do
how much?
can u do this?
Nope
then ull prob struggle
Oh
ap mt is easy but takes a lot of time to get, like the materials
if i were u, i wouldnt do it
So im not sure how it will work
so is for me
Whats CM?
like abrsm
im playing stuff like this, so theory is a must
Practice scales
no need
Im working on this
percision?
tempo?
this one is quarter = 104 btw in common time
Is that the Concertino for Flute and Piano by Chaminade?
u play flute?
I play piano and accompanied someone who played that piece
nice
Ah yes finally a place where there are other music nerds
Any of yall know carnival of venice
chiminade is fun
Mb
i dont pay $70/hr lessons for nothing lol
Im used to hanging around middle schoolers
Oh you get lessons
Whats it like
Is it worth the money
Nice
Usually you could get a decent teacher for like under $80/hr, but it depends on your needs. (If you want lessons just to hone your skills, or if you want to go with a full commitment with a teacher, learn an entire private repertoire and use that for secondary competitions and performance opportunities outside of school)
i do lessons for comps n stuff and for fun n stuff
Yeah I reckon I would do some comps
u need to get good 1st
Im rather good for my age level
age doesnt matter
What should i expect from a comp
to loose if u base everything on age
Im not sure if im good
Um expect to not win, expect to be humbled, but also expect to have really cool experiences as a lot of competitions let you play at some sort of venue, even if its a smaller one before they get to the big venue for the final round
Yeah
stop saying "yeah" if u cant relate
Bro im sorry idk what else to say
Alright
but basically, if u go to comps, u better have ur piece perfect to get a chance to win
like i didnt get a scholership, principle chair in the district honor band and a state honor mention for nothing
Expect to spend hundreds to $$ on a piece
Yeah ik
and theres also a fee for comps, from $20 to $500
but most comps also require a pianist, so u need to hire someone, i paid $60/hr for mine
Sheesh
ye and ego, cuz as a musician, everyone destroys u
feels good to win a few times
Id bet
Just use me as your accompanist, +500 dollars in saved money
how much u charge?
You live in cali?
?
Umm none so far because I've only accompanied for two people so far and they're my close friends so I didn't want to charge them
yeah
i also play with a University's Orchestra but its whatever
?
I live in New Jersey
Actually, if u do need a pianist to go somewhere, ur expected to pay for their traveling n stuff
on top of rehersals
most of the time, their not good enough
if u want someone to play this, gl on finding someone for free
day??? r u insane?
oh nvm
💀
i thought u mean lessons
bunch of sixteenths
but my days r very different so about 12hr a wk
and 32nd
yeah but its chromatic so
true
I used to do around that cant anymore cuz of the hw which im probably gonna start focusing a lot more on
what do the lines in the note mean for trumpet?
how do u practice
for percussion its a double bounce
what lines
u mean double tongue?
Double tonguing
thats double tongue
makes sense
bc percussion its double bounce
lemme find the music im working on rn
theres like 10000 different varients of Carnival of venice
Debating on taking AP Physics E&M need some advice
gl
Did u take it?
no
Im sending prayers if youre taking AP phys
ik
fortississimo
its just technique
I'm taking Physics 1 already
on marching snare FFF is more like visually loud
so like 18 inches stick height
using arm for visual effect
very loud
Idrk much abt phys i just know its pretty hard
you should've seen our line music last year lol
Not louder than my trumpet
ye its fun
this is DCI music that i sent
i go to a small 2a so i prob dont play as hard of stuff for school as yall play
better than nothing tbh
yeah of course
and our second movement was a drumline feature
so it went hard
same 🤪
Nice
no wait
like our fourth one was
we had 5 movements total
our fourth and fifth both had
Bro my orchestra conductor picked songs with no trumpet part
Im playing second violin, french horn, clarinet, and tenor sax parts
ive been looking for a snare piece to practice
do u know any good ones
Ok
Probably just a bunch of etudes and exercises
is there any way i could redo high school classes after graduation? i am a senior in high school and i did not do good in some of my classes in 11th grade. if there is a way, would that count towards anything?
did you fail? like, below a 64?
if you didn't, there's really no point in retaking
i didnt fail the classes, i just got really bad grades on the tests. i dont know how i didnt fail the classes
then there's not really a point
what grades
below a 3?
yes
hmm
after graduation i doubt it could happen unfortunately
i mean even then, why would u want to
they will hold almost no relevance to your life
yes but i feel like all hope is lost
im not going to get into the college that i want to get into
and also i dont feel as smart as other kids
AP grades = smart?
u just didnt study hard enough for it
now thats a lesson u were taught the hard way
use it correctly and work harder for future tests
simple as that
yes but high school only happens once. and now i am not going to get into the college that i want to get into and there are no more opportunities or chances
ur a senior
going into undergrad
yes?
yes
Lemme show you something cool: it’s called community college
Lmao
Just go to a CC you’ll be fine
the college you go to for undergrad barely matters
if you do well in undergrad
and go to a good grad school
ur completely fine
bro youre obsessed with cc
Cause it's cheap as fuck
no when i say obsessed i mean OBSESSED
I made 16 messages that mention CC or community college
now 17
I have over 1k messages
simple maths say that around 1% of my messages are related to CC
ya but each time i see a text from you its always about cc

IM DYINGGGG
hey anyone know if this looks good for my course card
what is a course card
a little card with all of your courses on it probably
like the classes picked out
o it’s a paper thing we get for our courses for the next grade level
we got it on Tuesday and the guidance counselor still hasn’t met with me cuz I had questions so I’m asking here about it
CAN'T FUCKING SEE SHIT
Uh looking at your course sheet so far it looks fine tbh
maybe drop Enviromental Science for the AP Varient since the AP variant is significantly easier than the non-ap variant
hi nice to meet you
@tulip dawn I would encourage dropping regular Enviromental Science for its AP variant and dropping one of your electives for a language course
most unis require at least 2 years of a foreign language to be completed as well as the US military academies
oh ik I plan on taking a language online since middle and the highscjool guidances stated we can take a language course to complete that online course requirement aswell as a foreign language requirement
and I’m unsure if there is a ap version of environmental science as the guidance didnt state it when we were given the papers
I would take biology but I’m not sure if we’re aloud to yet
It was said we can take up to 3 or more possible online classes all 4 years
ask your counselor
tell them you're interested in taking higher difficulty courses than is being offered
I would, I’ve filled multiple applications to speak to them and they haven’t replied
And the course card is due tomorrow or the middle school principle chooses so
You don't need an applicatin to speak to your counselor 💀
Just walk up to them when they're free
U need help choosing?
well not application I shouldn’t say but like we have to turn in this thing just to talk to them
it’s rare to talk to them outside their office
