Dude look at the AP Physics C problems
Yeah
But
Actuall
The Test passing rate is high
cuz most people who take it have taken calc
those aren’t hard
Yeah because they need to take calc and AP physics 1
but I can see how calculus plays a role in it
so it's not difficult if u know calc
So the kids have experience
I mean they can also skip reg at some schools
the 10 grader I talked about
we can skip reg
We can skip reg
bru
there's also an option where we can take 1 & 2
nah screw taking 1 and 2
but I want to take 2
two is bad
I think
there’s this guy who did all 4 and got 5s on all the exams
ye
What
Wow
YouTuber tho
the exam is so hard
bruh
Yeah
ap imo isn’t a college class
they're all weighted like crazy
more like a intro
Well
that matters
because
some teachers actually teach for the sake of college level
bro my lang teacher
but some teachers on the other hand prepare u for exam
What is AP Imo?
imo
what's that
acronym
Oh yea
in my opinion
and I'm not going to do lang and lit
Oh
my physics teacher 🤡
Yeah
literally teaches it like it’s conceptual physics
my World teacher
which is below physics
he makes it a college class
true
What does he assign
The 1-2 hour readings
I hate history teachers
the weekly quizzes and tests
oh hell no
debates every week
The one word I have come to hate is Analysis
Oof
he doesn't check ours
tho
but if we don't read
we basically fail his tests
cuz
f
the readings are important
do u get like textbook assignments
How?
too much content
Oh
too little time
my state even makes us history two years
and it’s still too much content
idk how people manage apush in 1 year
I am going to take APush my junior year and it is the only AP class I will take so it shouldn’t be that bad
Yeah
get 1600 on sat
That’s very hard
it’s worth more than ap
Even getting a 1400+ very difficult
what math u in
Geometry
once u get passed algebra 2 it’s easy
But the thing is
like half way through algebra 2 even
I am planning on taking my SAT my sophomore year
retake as many times as u need
So I kind of don’t really know much Algebra 2
if ur good in a1 then it should be fine to study a bit of a2
ahead of time
although it’s probably difficult
Ok
Also do you know how to score a 1500+
Ok
It’s easy just do practice tests
There’s nothing really to study
Unless you’re behind in math
What was your SAT score
Because I want to know
I haven’t taken it yet but I’ve done tons of practice tests and previous exams
Oh ok
It’s about speed
Cause you don’t have much time
For the reading section never read the full passage
Alright any other advice
It’s really just about practicing
How many hours should I practice
Everyday
I don’t practice daily cause I don’t have time but it’s just about practicing enough until your practice scores mirror your goal
No boi your reading score is not good
Then get better at it
What makes you dislike reading
Are you lazy
So if you had a book to read for a assignment would you do it
I don’t think your bad at reading
I feel like you don’t have the motivation to do reading
First of all
You need to stop disliking things you are not good at
If you confidence when you read you can do good
Sometimes if you don’t feel confident you have to be
Also tips on the reading section is look over the questions then go back to the passage
You see the SAT is very clever
You don’t have to read the entire thing to answer the questions
You can look over the question and go back to the text
Dude
Take time
Do it in April
@cinder gorge
Dude why
You won’t have enough time to study
Are you a native English speaker
May I ask
Which country are you from
Oh, I think you should learn about the English language
Nvm
You don’t say me reading you say reading
Should I take Ap calculus or ap stats
AND
Should I take ap psych or chemistry
Which one would be better for my future
Take both
I can’t
Take AP Calc and AP stats
I don’t have the room in my schedule
Wdym
What other classes do you have
Are you a science person or math person
I’m better at math, but I like them both equally
I’m not sure why
Like what job do you want to hold in the future
Psychology or Finance
What about chemistry and ap bio
AP bio
Long shot
And for engineering majors
Oh
I can take chem(junior) and ap bio(senior)
Or
I can take ap psych(junior) and financial algebra(senior)
AP chem or regular chem
Regular ( ap is double-block)
Ok I would say the first one
AP over Dual Credit and Dual Credit over Honors, right?
Matters on the course
Dual credit can be over AP
for exaple
Calc III dual credit is better and more advanced that AP Calc
College stats is better than Ap stats
But then u have AP physics, chem, etc which is very good
I see.
Chem is also a prerequisite to ap chem
Is AP Calculus BC going to be too hard if I havent done Calculus AB, or is that not how it works? I took extra physics lessons this year (10th grade) instead of AB, but next year I'm going to choose AP Physics and probably AP Calc BC
Bc is 80% same as ab
Ab is 8 chapters
Bc is 12 chapters, 8 are the same ones and 4 new ones
Did your Precalc class cover limits and derivatives?
ap physics uses a lot of content covered in calc 2 and calc 3 (beyond bc)
I thought bc was 10
wouldn’t 80% of 10 be 8
no, but i could probably do stuff on khan academy to catch up
I want to take up ap courses
I don't understand how they work
Can anyone explain
Thanks in advance
Basically they’re courses that make it so you don’t need to take them in college
So ap stats means that you can skip the stats course in college
And the test at the end of your class is standardized; everyone gets it. It’s ranked out of 5; 3 being a pass and 5 being getting most things right
Hmm ok
In my country they are taking place between April and may of every year
What courses do you recommend
The ones i can't score or the opposite?
Do the ones that you feel confident in
Comp and chemistry
So if you’re in calc AB right now, do that
Okay so look over the ap books on each of those subjects and make sure you know everything
Ok
I want to major in comp , doing AP in comp will not help for being a comp major right?
Coz i can skip the course
It won’t help in college, most of my teachers recommend to be in the 101 class in college so you get to know other people who are majoring in it, but when applying to colleges it’s good
So it's like a "I've done this much more than others" in the college essay
Yep
Guys any recommendations for courses for computer science
AP Computer Science
Advanced Topics
so Data Structures
Because if u can master that u can do computer science
The AP Physics teacher at my school is horrible according to my sister but I know physics is important for Stem. Should I just take honors, force myself through AP with a bad teacher or take it online?
Don’t do it
Honors or online
Don’t put your grades at risk with other easier options
Idk about online you see
Because I have heard that it is very difficult online
Without a teacher
I’m sure it is
should i take ap bio or ap chen
What kind of job do you want to have after school? What if both are important are beneficial?
Hi! I need help deciding if I should take AP classes starting my Junior year. I'm currently taking AICE and Dual-enrollment courses as well. I'm planning a C++ Course for Dualenrollment in the Spring and I'm taking 3 AICE classes. My state's virtual school allows for Sophomores and Juniors to take AP courses online through AP Capstone and my school doesn't offer AP classes in-person. I am currently a 10th grader and was wondering if I should decide to start that program next year
So like what ap classes can give me credit for core classes in college so I don’t need to take them again or spend money on them in college?
Correct
They also look really good on transcripts
But your AP scores don’t matter as much as your letter grade in the class
Like an A in the class and a 2 or 3 on the test is better than a B or C and a 5
this is depending on the college
some colleges only accept certain scores to get credit at all some don’t accept aps
usually the safe bets are a 5 in ap comp, 4/5 in Calc AB or BC with subscore of 4/5
Just wondering, what science class did you all take(or planning to) in junior and senior year?
Adv Chem, accel physics, and somethings engineering-y
We don’t have aps at my school so
Prob this for my engineering
AP phsyics 1, 2, and C
Yeah, start if you can
Mkmk
ap chemistry, ap bio, ap physics 1
you definitely should if you can
Through the AP capstone I can take 4 extra AP classes and then AP research and Seminar, which classes should I take then?
it's up to you honestly, it won't affect the certification
Is there any specific ones that could help me with admission to college? I have an idea of what I want to take already
ig if you take aps that are related to your major and apply them for capstone it could be helpful?
it also may depend on what u did as ur topics
Im probably going to take Calc BC, Human Geo, C.S. and Statistics
I’m taking apes
is 4 aps (csp, seminar, euro, physics 1) a manageable workload for a sophmore?
well how many did u take this year
and how much free time do u have
I’m a freshmen taking four honors this year
which honors
and how much free time
how many extracurriculars
ap csp is a joke clas
so is phyisc s1
alg 2, English, world history, and bio
K thanks
anyone self-study ap physics 2 + if so, would you recommend
i'm having a very easy time w physics 1 rn
physics 2 is unnecessary imo
but if ur actually good at physics 1 then maybe try it
Physics 2 is easier than Physics 1
No point
In taking it
how is physics 2 easier
Well because it’s more straightforward than AP Physics 1
what
Yeah
Euro is the only one of those with work
Csp is easier than your CP classes
How is Calc 2?
I’m doing it rn it’s pretty easy so far
Can I DM you any time I have a question on physics?
Which AP Math should I take?
AP Calc AB or BC
Anyone here doing a pharmaceutical course im wondering how well it relates to chemistry as a whole and if its a good degree to pursue if your interested in chemistry
csp is easy i'm not sure about the rest ...
I’m sure seminar is easy Lmao
And physics 1 is pretty easy too cause most physics teachers are pretty chill
What? 💀
AP Physics is one of the hardest courses
Hmm
One of the teachers at my school literally got fired cause he didn’t care enough actually teach and everybody failed the AP test
Everybody at my school has like a 99 in AP physics it’s one of the easiest APs at my school
Oh
The students are going to flunk the AP exam
💀
So true
Dude I've heard that in our school, AP physics is one of the hardest classes, other than AP Chem
in both of those classes, the curve is so high that a 60/100 is an A
Yep
☠️
bru
then a 0 would be a pass grade
I don’t know about that
60 - A
50 - B
40 - C
30 - D
20 - F
Bruh a 40 to pass
not Ap 1
How though
The course is easy
the exam is not that hard
most kids in our school get 3-5
just use ur brain
That surprises me
tho i am pissed that i can’t take calc ab over the summer
so next year when i skip to physics c
i need to learn calc
lmfao
What AP Physics C are you taking about the Electricity and Magnetism or Mechanics
mechanics
tho i might decide to take physics 2 instwad
I think AP Physics C would be better because AP Physics 2 just builds on with what AP Physics 1 taught
If you do well enough on the AP exam, can you get out of taking certain college courses?
That depends on the college
Each college does things differently.
that’s literally the point of taking the exam
besides the clout of potentially getting a 5 on the physics c exam nothin really else comes from it
Looks good on transcripts too
But AP scores don’t mean too much as far as admissions chances because it’s more about how well the school prepares you
I'd look up some of the colleges that you're looking at and what their AP score placement is. You can usually just look up (university) AP credit.
For my university, it looks something like this.
Ok
At this point aps are just the norm so it doesn’t help your chances of admissions at all
In the sense that it’s not like doing 6 will be crazy because thats what most people do
I kinda disagree on this point, simply because of where I live and what the state universities here are looking for.
Yeah, if you're trying to get into UCLA, MIT, Harvard, APs are not going to make you stand out.
But you've got to compare yourself not just to those above you, but to all of the rest of those beneath you. Many schools don't offer AP, most don't bother to take them, if you're applying somewhere like a state college, APs will help you stand out. Most importantly they're going to prepare you for college level work and the concept of self education, which you'll be pretty heavily reliant on during college.
Hey do you know any good summer extracurricular’s for business
Not off the top of my head, I’ve never done anything related to business.
What have you done
Things as they related to my passions or degree. Shadowing someone in their field, leadership clinics, investing time into volunteer work, band camps, etc
Oh ok
I think of one business extracurricular
If your school is like mine you probably have a FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)
It would be considered experience but yes, it would definitely help you.
Ok
How do you sign up
You can usually find the president/sponsor and ask.
Your school counselors probably have that information
Dude I don’t have the program
I live in a town that has 20k people
Student government, internships… I’m trying to think what might be available.
Okay what are some internships
That are not too difficult
i don’t know what’s local to you or what you’d be able to do for your age
yeah sure
we are starting angular velocity rn so anything up to that point I can help ya with
are you also taking ap p1?
Our school teaches both
I thought they taught them together at every school
same thing with 1 & 2
Yeah the pass rate is low, because a lot of underprepared people take it. Tht's the same reason why C has a higher pass rate, because more prepared people take it.
Partly and it is also difficult
Well they only give you 45 minutes for 35 math problems so it’s just really hard to finish in time
At least you get to use your notes
No. Just regular physics. Have you learned Kinematics with trig yet? I mess up on that.
I am interested in going into Pharmacy, but I am not entirely sure it is something I want to do. At my school, there are two medical courses: Medical Terminology (Juniors and Seniors can take it) and Medical Office Management (Only Seniors who did Medical Terminology in their Junior year can take it). Do you think either of these classes will help me in the long run? If needed, I can screenshot the course descriptions of them.
I don’t think you will use any of the classes you listed
The only thing that caught my attention for both of the classes were the internships. In MT, you can do an internship in a Physician's Office, Clinic/Urgent Care, Nursing Home, and/or Medical Insurance Underwriter. In MOM, you can do an internship in a Healthcare Setting.
I think you should take it
If you want to get into a selective college
If you don’t
I do not suggest
Your welcome
Is it bad if you get a c in a accelerated math class as a freshmen
First demo
*semster
What is the math class?
I think it is fine since this is more of a new type of math, but I would try to improve second semester.
Will it affect my gpa in the future
Depends.
If you are taking weighted classes (meaning that your GPA gets boosted for taking the class) and you are doing good in your other classes, I think you will be fine.
Alr thx
What gpa do colleges look at?
Unweighted I think
we already did kinematics so yes
just send me one of those trig problems you're struggling with and i'll read it over
Colleges do not entirely care about GPA because the difficulty of course matters
Because a kid taking 7-10 AP classes with a strong 3.94 is much more qualified for a top college than someone taking all CP classes and having a 4.0
Letter grades matter more
Nah freshman year grades are not that important just be careful about what math classes you do in the future if you’re struggling that much
weighted gpa is important
So I have to choose my classes for next year (sophomore classes) by next Tuesday and I’m kinda freaking out bc there’s a lot of choices for a lot of classes
What are some classes I should look into taking for architecture
Im currently signed up for intro to drafting for next trimester
What are your choices
And do you have an idea of what you want to be when you grow up
Oh sorry I didn’t see this I can do honors or not honors for most of my classes then I have electives and I need to decide if I do pe next year cuz I gotta have that to graduate and I’m thinking of maybe like a coder or something (idk what it’s called lol) but I’m not really sure
There’s are my elective choices. I’m thinking of doing guitar again but it depends on what my friend does
The last three on the picture are the pe choices and the others I’m not too sure about
Well I’ve never taken those classes so I can’t recommend anything
But always try to take classes that will be useful to you in the future
I think I might do robotics and guitar for my electives but idk
I just realized those are only the fine arts classes
Do you think this is a good plan for classes junior and senior year?
I think those are good classes
however, I would recommend you to take a class rather than a studyhall of early release. It could just be general things, or just some creative thing.
Alright.
i want to go into premed so i know you should take ap bio, AP chem and AP physics but im going into junior year next year and i haven't taken any of those so how should I take them? like should I take double ap science courses in junior or senior year and which ones? i heard AP bio is easier than chem and physics so should I just take that next year?
I've done advanced (pre-ap) bio and chem btw
your senior year seems a bit intense, just keep in mind you'll be doing college apps first semmy of senior yuear
i've heard that ap bio is much easier w the background of a previous bio course so maybe do that senior year
at least my school, ap bio is muc more relaxed than physics or chem
same that's what I've heard as well
4 Aps is pretty common for senior year
yeah
college apps can be done
if u consider the holidays
I'd recommend taking Chem and Bio
since u have junior and senior year
honestly
physics can be skipped for premed
since u've also done pre-ap for those
but like ap chem alongside apush and others sounds difficult
depends on the student ofc
i
i'd at least be cautious and plan ahead
like for calc bc, i'd learn all the ab material before the year starts bcs its not that bad
in order to give more time for the other aps
Ehh. It is a senior. Like for me, I'm taking apush alongside physics 1&2 during junior
yeah, there is work,
but it's fine
and yeah
planning ahead is important
every summer I just get review books to know the content and stuff so I know what I'm getting into
Haha same
Alongside Calc III
V good tip
Junior year?
that's cool
Calc III for me is probs senior
Awesome
It’s a fun course
And it’s cool to look at things in 3D
Yeah
So r u going to take like stats senior year
I took AP stats over the summer
I think I’m doing differential equations next year as an independent study
Bcs Im doing linear algebra this year
If you have the time I’d recommend self-studying Stat
I refuse to do anything with stay
Stats
But question
What’s the difference between differential equations and calc
I thought they teAch those in calc
And we don’t have any ap or honors over the summer
We only have regular courses over the summer
I just requested to accelerate AP stats for the sake of having the class on my transcript
I didnt attend summer school or anything
Oh ok
Can u dm me with the specific process because I have a class I want to do that with
I’m pretty sure it goes more in depth with diffy equations
Like in AB you go over them briefly
But it’s its own course
Ok
Well it’s a useful course regardless
I guess
What’s wrong with stats
Idk
I just hate it
For some reason
Pointless hate
I think one reason cuz I feel like it’s pretty annoying
Cuz mean median and graphs ugggh
But this is just my opinion Ik that it is pretty useful
Stats is very useful
Differential equations is a class?
That’s like the easiest chapter of AP Calculus
I bet thé standalone course begs to differ
Well yeah I’m sure it’s a lot more in depth
In Calc BC only elementary differential equations are covered
What all do u learn in stats
Cuz I think I might be underestimating it
Is there more than mean median mode and range
Idk I haven’t taken it yet Lmao
I’ve just heard from everyone on earth that it’s useful to learn basic statistics
No yeah it’s super easy
Cuz that’s a unit we did in math team
Yeah
I did basic Saratoga
Stats
But I didn’t
Actually take a course
You can honestly do like a 6 week summer course and learn everything just as comfortably
Idk the specifics of the content but it’s a very easy class
Any class that primarily seniors take is usually pretty easy
But AP Gov I’ve heard is pretty chill compared to Apush or AP World
Yeah
Cuz it’s not history
It’s mostly just memorizing the amendments and lawmaking process
And constitution
Yeah but those are more sophomore oriented
But not all senior classes are easy
Like physics C
My school is an exception with that
Physics C at my school is a breeze
Everybody has like a 99
Exactly
But I’m not planning to take lit and lang
I’m gonna take capstone
Cuz I don’t need an English degree
One teacher literally got banned from teaching AP Physics cause he was too lenient and everybody failed the AP test
At my school
Lol
And I guess ap language
Many seniors take that
So like French Spanish Latin etc
Ap Lang is easy
Spanish Lang is easy but that may just be for my school
My teacher is very laid back
lmao class average for ap Spanish lang/cult is 70
See we do those at home
timed essay vs hw essay is very different
All of the assignments atr pretty much at home
Cause it’s a hybrid class
So we only go twice a week for like 45 minutes
bru
Oh
And in class we just do random Spanish activities and stuff
We’ve only had one multiple choice exam
I take French
Ima fail the AP test though Lmao
French
Reading writing is easy
Speaking is mid
But listening
Oh my god that is very hard
Like
Un ver verre vers verse un verre vert
That is a literal sentence
Or something like that
And it’s all just ververvevevr
I’m not planning to
Good
I’m doing capstone
Cuz lit is only good
If u want an English major
And I’m more science oriented
But honestly
That is not a reason not to take a class
Many classes are hard
Now if there are matters of interest, specific areas u don’t want to go into, etc then yeah don’t take class
No but there are more
The assignment takes more time than other AP’s
The essays aren’t really for me
And it isn’t my career path
?
Cuz you will get the same credit for both
I am not doing lang
Oh ok
okay
So I have a question,
I'm planning to take many comp sci AP courses in high school and will prob major in it, so should I take AP Stat or AP Calc?
No
You do not have to take AP stat or AP calf before AP comp sci
Although it might help a little
But not too much
No but like which one would be better for me to take
AP stats
All the way
AP Statistics is one the easiest AP’s
Not too difficult
Also statistics will help you in any career you choose
Although if your going into to stem I will have to say take AP Calc
@devout kayak
for microeconomics, should i take calc BC or AB?
ab should work
U don’t need any
Calc
For
Econ
At least Ap Econ
i want to take a good amount of aps but still have a life, and i have filled out most of my plan for high school except for one elective and some contradictions over a few classes. what do yall think? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1p5Eq4BmnNqpLa3D1ikYVtRLZVGOEUr37pov-3UfoojY/edit?usp=sharing
Sheet1
9th,10th,11th,12th
English 9,Honors English I,English 10,Honors English II,English 11,AP Language and Composition,English 12,English IV
Math 9,Honors Geometry,Math 10,Honors Algebra 2,Math 11,Honors Precalculus,Math 12,AP Calculus AB
Science 9,Honors Biology,Science 10,Honors Chemistry,Sc...
i might do technical theatre for 2 yrs j because. i am however leaning more towards on level US history because of what i have heard about apush.
which is harder AP or IB or ATAR?
Wouldn't know about the other two but IB is ridiculously demanding. Currently doing my last year.
how hard is it?
It’s not that hard imo but they ask for a crap ton of work in a deadline where someone would say that it’s too short
is the work hard? or is it only the deadlines?
I think this is a good courseload
Pretty decent
This is amazing ♡
Yeah definitely have a balanced schedule so you still have a life. I’m currently in 6 AP classes and an ROP class at a high school 45 minutes away so my free time is nonexistent
I feel bad for you
Oh hell nah
I hope that after these...everything will be worth it (for sure) 💗
Lol if that was taken out of context
Yeah u can
With test and stuff
Teacher Rex’s
Recommendations
Thank you
Should I take an ap class once I’m a junior?
Once I’m a sophomore I’m gonna take an honors
ill soon have to choose between computer sciences and philosophy. Computer sciences will probably be more useful in life but I'll enjoy philosophy more. The careers i might want to pursue don't really rely on computer science skills, nor do i need them to get into a good university. Any advice?
Take philosophy
👍
This matters on the college you want to go to
But I’d say computer science as a major
And philosophy as a minor
Cuz I’ll be honest
In the world in a few years, philosophy will be important, but comp sci is more useful
What careers do U want to pursue in the future
the thing is tho, we don't really do majors and minors at my school (we do, but only in junior and senior year) and neither class will be offered as a major. i cant take both without dropping Italian which i dont want to do
So wait
Are you in the American school system
Or another one
Which school system
germany
Ok
So u guys choose subjects in high school and can pursue only one?
Because if u want philosophy badly do it
But I’d still want to at least know basic comp sci
no, we have core subjects (3-5 hours a week) and side subjects (2 hours). in junior and senior year we can choose "leistungskurse" which are like majors. i want to take english, chemistry and politics.
in the grade before junior (at my school) we can drop our third language and do 2 out of 3 (geography, comp sci and philosophy) or keep it and do 1. i wont drop italian though.
and i already had a basic comp sci class in 7th grade
Oh ok
Yeah then take philosophy
yeah, alright
in my opinion, i think you should do computer science since it provides as a fallback or plan b of sorts
That’s also true
Yeah if that’s the earliest your school offers
If they offer a couple for sophomore or freshman year though then I’d think about taking those
Ima take AP world history
10th grade
People said it’s easy
Yeah that’s a good one to take
How about AP Physics 1 sophomore year
Do you think it is a good choice?
Yeah
Alr because my friend wants to take it
He’s pretty smart has a 98 percent in 9th grade physics
Yeah he is a smart guy in physics
Like legit a genius
He can explain concepts with ease
Wow
For us
We have to take bio
Freshman year
And it’s literally so easy
I like physics
Cuz it has more math
For me physics seems so boring
You just solve things that is it
No inferring or analysis of the data or anything
physics is amazing it's like math and science had a baby
Is it the math part?
That you enjoy
yeah
Plz no
science math is easy
I’m going to get that in my dreams
regular math is crap
math is boring without science
no. i love maths so much whaa
Physics is just math with a purpose
science math is so dead
Exactly.
🤨
Fr
It is beautiful
oh there is math in chem?
idk i find it hard
It’s fine
I didn't know that.
But physics math
theres sooo much maths in chemistry alevels
there is
oooooooooo now I wanna do chem
what yr is it
There’s just one math equstion in bio
You like balancing equations?
💀
no theres a few. its like 25 percent maths
?
I'm not sure yet
too long to wait
what year r u
I mean math people do not really like chemistry
i do-
8th
Chemistry you have to problem solve
oh
I'm not into straight up math but science-math is the best
You don’t just get a equations and solve it with formulas
are we talking about different chemistrys😭
whats that
Are you in the UK?
what are the required sciences for highschool?
im not from america
yep
That matters
Knew it
wish i lived in america😭
But I would recommend taking chem, physics, and bio
aha
Once you said class 12 I knew you were British
oh lmao yeh i am
is this server an american server?
Yeah
It’s made by an Indian American
Mainly
physics is 8th grade
and I think we do some chem at the end of the yr
It is basic
Very basic
Yes
maybe chemistry in the UK is a bit different lmao 😭 or we just do completely seperate things
all yr is physics tho mostly
For us
Freshman year is bio
Sophomore is th em
Chem
good thing im doing fake physics
if only i understood what u guys were talking about🤣
so I have to take another course of physics in highschool? 😭
No
That matters on your high school
And the college you want to go to
ah, i see
We have a three year science requirement
But I’m doing 4
Cuz I want to go into stem
i do stem subjects aswell
i do Chemistry Biology and Maths!
but whatever is required I'll get that out of the way first
yes bio is good, if you do AP psych there is a whole bio unit!
What is the extra science course
can I take ap psych with no experience?
Yeah
Psych is the easiest ap
It’s just memorizing vocab
y'all just opened up a whole new door
Human Geography is
That’s the second easiest
so if I take bio and ap psych next year it'll go perfectly
yes this will work
R u a freshman
will you be a junior next year?
but there is also child development, abnormal psych, social psych etc
she lol
dont worry about this
Yes.
Ok
so ap psych first year and the other years wtv i want
but I think it might be 10-12 grade only
are they a lot harder than regular courses?
What is the hardest AP
harder than what youre probably used to yes
I'm willing to put in the time and effort
I want to see
good then you'll do fine
you dont need to be very smart for APs, you just gotta work hard
I may not get all the answers right but one thing that is true is that I always work hard
Physics C
yes
just like with maths I'm not very good at it but I work my ass off
Mechanics or Electricity and Magnetism
youre british
it's funny how I work so hard and still mange to only get an 80% and other kids don't even try and get flawless grades
you are probably studying the wrong way
I take notes, and the teacher always gives me extra practice sheets
Probably E & M
Other kids probably study they don’t show that or say that
Makes sense
but next tri I'm shooting for an 87-90%
ok do you make sure you understand?
because if you truly understand the material it should at least be 90+
yes I always understand the concept, but I do get quite a bit of anxiety the day of the test and my mind tends to go blank
ah
I'm working on it
Yes it’s very easy
I'm planning on making a highschool plan then I'll send it here maybe and get some advice on it.
alr good to know
Some are
what's the difference between honors and ap then
APs are college level
Honors is above normal classes
Just a little bit harder and faster
do ap classes go pretty quickly through the material?
No not really
It is not that fast
And it depends on your teacher and school
even if I have no experience I can do college level?
with no highschool level experience?
Yes
For some classes
But for some classes you need to have experience before you take it
Like AP Chem you need to take Chem first
If you want to succeed
alr makes sense
what other aps can you do without any experience
But for like the AP history courses you can jump right in
AP human geo
CSP is literally such a joke
well you need algebra 1 first
Fr
for computer science?
YES
Is that a requirement for your school
to get into csp yes
Best class bro so free
Then do Algebra 1
so no cracking math codes?
💀 bro what code we hardly use blocks
isn't there other required history stuff I need to do first
I did it last year it was literally just free work time
I don’t know why the school officials would want you to do Algebra 1 before taking AP computer science 💀
It’s a freshman year AP class
bro fuck all the prereqs you dont need them
i promise you
if you can take the class without the prereqs, do it
for every ap class you're saying?
Your school should tell you the prereqs
I must get all the requirements though.
most of the prereqs are just there to stop people from taking too many AP classes
they are all mostly useless and not applicable
wait do y'all learn code language like java, python etc?
JS
dont worry about it tho
its simple
you dont need to learn anything before
trust me
ah shit gtg
your teacher will teach everything
see y'all later
Wait have you taken AP chem if we’re taking about APs
no
Oh ok
also the AP Calcs obviously need prereqs
Yeah AP calc needs prior knowledge to excel
Well keep in mind that your school might not allow you to enroll in an AP class without set prereqs
yeah just ask nicely
Is 4 years of mathematics including Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2, Statistics and Trigonometry good enough to take AP Calc AB
