I'm thinking of more roles for QOTD winners (like tiers)
Right now, winning a QOTD will usually make a winner less likely to compete in future QOTD’s (because, why need to try for the question of the day, when the rewards are minimal?), so I was thinking that if there were roles like “QOTD 2-time winner” or another tiered way to get more “bling”, it would improve participation.
(this would be even better if there were some minor benefits that came with it too, but id rather not complain about that yet)
Anyways, thats my take, its pretty niche so im not expecting an approval 😔

This is a very niche issue and would also involve event winners too, would it work for winning 2x, then 3x, etc? OR do we do a grand winner or something for winning 3x of it or 5x etc.

In my head (or at least, what im thinking now), I was hoping for a 2-time, 3-time, 5-time, 7-time and 10-time winner, as well as attributing a small perk with each upgrade (like instead of a flat colour lavender, maybe a gradient colour lavender). I understand that roles are slowly going to be more restricted, so i am fine if there are chop-and-changes (like 3-time, 5-time, 10-time, to also accommodate for event winners), but if you understand, i just feel like if you win a closed-end QOTD, you are less motivated to try a future one.
As for Grand Winner, I know some gists of how that system works, but it doesn’t give much satisfaction if more people get the role. Like, as a temporary role (e.g. you win something big, you get the cool role for a month), sure i guess, but as a permanent role? I think that it wouldnt make too much sense.

Add a channel that is named "Creature-Identification" or whatever name that fits the topic.

The channel is about where users would post unusual or rare living things that we don't see on a daily basis. Then other people would help to identify what the living thing is and could give some fun facts about it too.

I don't know how many people would vote for this or back this up. I just thought it be an intresting idea where people would learn something new on a living thing that they have never have seen before in their normal lives.

And theres more living things that are being discovered as the years goes on.

We should add like a channel about like graduate school advice? while I think it would kinda fall under college advice ( as it's pretty similar ) it's also different as theirs also for example GRE's graduate exams, doing well in your undergrad classes. Another suggestion is that we should also have like a research channel so that people can post any tips on how to get research adn any research opportunities ( which is essentially also an opportunities channel).

So, to begin with the rather up played concern:
No, it cant run malware, as it does not have access to any one user's computer, and also cant import external libraries. It could be beneficial for #comp-sci-help to quickly run more so "pure" computer science concepts (think, algorithms). My main concern would be with it bypassing AutoMod, considering it sends an embed, but I am not entirely sure about that.

This server is mainly centred on high school students entering college so having a channel for existing college students going to grad school would be dead and college advice is really just for applying to college mainly. The other channel a mod would be best suited to answer

This is optional but a welcome to the user when they join. Have a welcome channel and when someone joins a bot send a message pinging them and welcoming. Where things get useful are in the functionality of it - you can include where things are so for example since the server was up everyone joining was asking where the quiz was. In the welcome message you could include “All quizzes for each major will be in #📣ㆍannouncements” or something similar and other things such as “Get homework help in #homework-help” just directing a new user around the server :)

Add a channel SPECIFICALLY for showing syllabuses for different subjects - even just links is fine. They should be categorised based on regional exams, such as GCSE or A-Levels in England or SATs in America, and others too.

Add a support channel which anyone can host (1 max). In these support channels, the first message from the host is the topic that support is required on and relevant details. Other people can chip into the channel as well. Perhaps it doesn’t need to be a channel, maybe just threads?

adding bots is less straight forward than most suggestions, if it’s added it won’t be for a few weeks

first off it needs to be ensured that it’s a trusted bot, second only admins can add it, not me, and third we need to set up perms and such. don’t forget that all the mods also need to agree on it and such
