Oscillo has a Sigil of Conductivity in play and Amp X waiting to replace damage.
They want to shock themselves and order Arcane Shelter first to get more Amp and the embodiment without losing the existing Amp, then throw it all with the next arcane effect.
Does this work, or is there anything weird that will eat the existing Amp?

The Amp will be consumed while shocking yourself. Assuming it's Sigil of Conductivity, you will take 1+X-1 damage. Amp MUST be applied to the next source of arcane resolved, the target does not matter

The question wasn’t the target per se: it was whether a prevented arcane damage effect that isn’t dealing damage anymore is now replaceable
