If Enigma attacks with a spectral shield with a +1 counter on it and during reactions I play a steelblade shunt dealing 1 to the enigma player. If they choose to destroy the ward on the attacking spectral shield, do they lose go again?

Yes. The attack never resolves so they never gain their action point back.

For those following along, it's because the attack source has ceased to exist before getting to the resolution step. And as a result of CR 2.8, 7.8.2.c the close step automatically begins, all steps between reaction and close step are skipped (I e. damage, resolution, link (where go again would have granted an action point)).
