Channel Thunder Steppe and Fog Down

A player asked me if they have a channel Thunder Step and lay fog down playing 1 would they gain an action point I personally said no cuz apon resolution of fog down it has a static ability that says non-attack actions cannot gain go again even though channel is trying to give a go again in the resolution step of the card fog down says it can't game go again and I believe most cards go with can't over cans

you are correct. Fog Down affects itself and it will loose go again, previously gained by Channel Thunder Steppe.
