I'd like a lock screen (or screen saver or something) that keeps the game open (and allows it to process) while it doesn't show the actual game play. This makes the game run with much less battery consumption and also prevents inadvertently pressing buttons while your phone is in your pocket.
A lot of idle games I've played have this functionality so if that's useful, I can provide a reference to how this could look.

Leaf Blower has an "afk mode" that reduces FPS and darkens the screen, BUT it does not affect the frames of the game itself, i.e. any timers and other things will work without slowdown. I don't know how exactly it works, but you can check this game too
