I've recently started my jurney modding this game. My favorite car being the wolf it wasn't no questions on what my first mod was going to be!
Now after a bit of work i've got most of the items i'd like to add for a start mostly being parts from the 190 evo II fitted over to the wolf, Now its just gotten into the starting point of unity hopefully it'll be done for a testing version within some amount of weeks if not even this week!

There are a bunch of planned items and "configs" i'll name them all under this to make it a bit easier

• EVO II
• Ute
• Rally
  All parts will work for all cars so of course you'll be able to make a wagon EVO or a rally wagon whatever you desire! Feel free to drop suggestions in this thread as im 100% here to hear them!

I’ve recently started my first modding project for this game namely being more parts to my favorite car! The wolf! This mod will feature multiple new parts such as fender flares, cut fenders and even new bumpers! Non racing parts are planned as well as more police stuff!

Further to say i’m completely clueless to modding so yes you’ll find me in the coding chats a lot looking for help haha 😆

Visible in the picture there is 17 items (counting mirrored ones for the other side)

Yup! I’ve already gotten a bit of help from a lot of people and lots of advice from lars the man is a real legend. Robin there got me the wagon model too so might be able to fit these parts to the wagon in the future too!

Yup! The main focus of the mod is adding more customization to cars in game as that’s the main part i’ve been missing and well that’s just a part of it!

Could even mismatch parts and stuff in the future cause i got plans, + There’s some slightly cut fenders so off-road builds could be a bit cool or whatever people would do with em haha

Oh awesome! Parts fit quite well without any modification, WELL the rear lights are getting a bit clipped

Cleanup on the model has started now so the panels are fitted good, Though with my bad knowlage of blender the item themselves will look real rough towards the edges but thats just to get the panels good looking when attached to the car. Its of course real rough still around places but idk what im able to do with my knowlage. Gap has been removed good enough for my standards, might get a gap there again but idk how so probably not

Fixed the thickness of the sunstrip so its not vissible inside the car anymore. Anyone got some last suggestions before i call this done for now?, well splitter i just forgot haha. Also made a seperate category in blender for all the models haha was a bit messy, did the same for windows :)

Much better though anyone more experienced see anything wrong? Idk the models have different icons next to the names maybe something?

Hello! Im just wanting to update a bit on what has been done, well not a lot haha. Todays haul of work has been fixing the rear fender flares to fit better and fixing the uv map for the car so it'll be paintable when added :) Now just again to ask if anyone has any more suggestions as im quite dry of them atm haha

Well i got a final design choice with the fender flares. Right now i’ve got the flares aligned to the normal vanilla trims but what i remembered is that the EVO II has another trim piece that i pointed out in the picture.
Now just why have this piece? Well from what i’ve understood it’s just to widen out the flare just a bit which the mod could use as the rear and front flares aren’t aligned meaning you’d need different offsets for the front and rear

Even offsets is something i’m kinda scared for as it might become a problem if the tires don’t sit very well in the flare.

Wonder if i could fabricate one myself hm

I am pretty sure i could reuse the one the original model had so maybe worth a shot but what do y’all think?

If I recall it correctly you should put the flares as a fender itself

Aka i’d need to paint the what i call flare part with decals which is ze pain haha, I’ll think about it for a bit i think

Yeah i think it’ll be the easiest by just having them loose pieces as flares instead of fender parts. + Would be a bit annoying needing to do 2 sets of fenders cause i’m 100% keeping the cut ones for a future idea

Okay i’ve decided to just keep the flares as another item from the bumpers, From the research i did the flares are in fact a part of the bumper but just to make liveries easier hahaha

Might even help out in the end if i do make the wagon and coupe bodies useable with flares and bumpers which well in the future they hopefully are

I mean since i’m new to modding haven’t done nothing yet im just trying to shave off as much work as possible, Maybe in the future a remake of them could be made though

Also what you don't have to mess gladly is Weight painting

Need to weight paint it properly so the clothing stretches accordingly with the movements

The rally one is the newest so is missing a lot of items i'd like to add but still in need of suggestions! My main plan is to get the normal EVO one at first then wagon and after that we'll see how it goes

And just to say the UTE will probably not be meant to have the flares haha just put em on cause i could haha

you can make it as a seat. that is, you can put the model on the seat and add it to the catalog so that, for example, the driver’s seat already has a human model

Well there are some stuff i disslike here, this gap between the bumper and fender flare and im not sure how i'd fix it cause the bumper is real weird

Cause its on a offset like this and im not sure how i'd fix it, i mean just move nodes but i cant get it centered good enough so when i use the mirror mode its weird lookin'

Well atm its just the model, Im currently trying to download unity and get all that open to get some parts into the game but it doesn't let me do it. Im currently waiting for help in fede's server as to why this is happening

Well in sweden theres the EPA type cars, i don't know whats a good way to name it over in swedish but you can register a car to be a tractor and limit it to only going 30kmh to drive it as a 15 year old (Or 16 i forgot)

Sucks I'm not together with my ex anymore she was very good with Blender and able to create complete custom stuff

I learned quite a few from her but making things out of scratch is still wonky on my side

You need to do some modeling probably when you gotta make the UTE

But I'm sure people like Apple, Robin, JamsterGoose and even me can definitely help you out

Just here to update on progress, well there is none. Okay almost feels like it but yet a lot has happened. I've gotten to add one of the fenderflares in game, edited something then stuff crashed and what not so im restarting and hopefully it'll be better this time. also lucky me i get to fix the model a bit since i messed something up haha

I'll start out with the fender move onto the bumper and then finaly do the fenderflare. Do the same for the other side then get a first "test release" and start working on the rear stuff. After that its just misc stuff i'd say

Plan is to have it modded in, The parts aren't really game quality so i wouldn't want something like that in game vanilla. Also the parts are ripped from sketchfab so doesn't feel right either

I mean theres like a total of 5 parts i could send in to add vanilla thats the sunstrips, window net and headlight covers so not a lot

i just dont like modding games myself and having them baked in is nicer for me unless its seamless like lethal company for example: download thunderstore which is a modding app for unity based games that use BepinEX and select your game and select your mods and with a click of a button you have modded the game

and you can launch the game from there too

im curious if MG could use that too

Okay fixing this is taking a bit o time hahah, hoping i'll get better at doing this, which well im sure i will its just slow learning this but i've solved some small stuff in code which i was happy about, still with massive help from other experienced modders :)

But im currently stuck on the right bumper as i need help getting a functioning copy in blender which idk how to do so im moving onto the bumper hoping its not to much truble doing that

Also just to mention i might need to make a custom exhaust as it might just be to low and scrape the ground hahaha. Also happy to report back that the suspension ride height isn't a issue like i first thought

But it'll be a good bit til a first release, well im going away thursday til saturday basically so gap with progress but it'll still give me time to think of even more new items i could add in the future :). But im going to try getting as much done as possible

without burning myself out that is, im easily burnt out but i promise im doing my best to get this working

The turbos? Should work all, with the v8 biturbo you could do very powerful cars. If you use it with the efi you are close to 6000 hp. That's too much for driving, but a hp outcome of 450 - 650 for the i6 or i6d should be working good for the evo wolf.

I think it's a unimog chassis. In the rear you see it has a portal axle, typical for unimogs.

If you decide to do it as single part, then you need a good uv map. And I think the resolution of decals will decrease a bit. The bigger the object is, the smaller the resolution will be. First I would recommend to check all scales and rotations in blender for the parts. Maybe you have there a difference.

Okay late thing to say it but yes! I’ve got a plan now for a even further plan haha, okay yes it’s early to say it but i wanna make the mentioned rally version of the wolf, But then i want the “ultra off-road” or whatever you’d call it. Just like extreme off-road items would be dope. I’m thinking of blending a lot of these but actually not using the ute as the planned version, Well the ute could probably get something for it at a later time but my plan is again the four door heheh. I’ll share more later when im able to get parts in blender for it. I’d take that time to learn piping so i could make some pipe bumpers like in the picture as well as the rollcage! I mean just get as much out of the project learning piping at least

Fede made that extra suspensions parts for the niv, maybe you could do something like that for the wolf. He uses the game models and change the color and the values of them.

One of these parts being something like a bar bumper or whatever they would be called, Idk seen some drift cars and such with em

Simple stuff like Japanese tuning parts, idk i saw some dope looking volvos with Japanese car styling looked cool so i wonder if i could make something similar for the wolf

I did some testing didn't have much time. I could say, I like the evo parts. They look very good and the decal quality is good on them. I found some issue, I think you know them already. The fender flare doesn't attach to the cut fender. The headlight cover works only without frontlights and the right one has a wrong position. The front bumper has still mirror bug with decals.
On the weekend I have more time and could also help you with the fender flares. I could check them in blender, maybe I notice something with the wrong position/rotation.

Awesome thanks! Yes all that is known, The decal quality will become a setting in the future though for the ones who don’t really use decals.
The light covers was just me being lazy not wanting to do the custom positions haha. Same with the fender cause i got annoyed at it haha
