#Can Audacity use MT 48’s EQ?

Hi, running into a bit of an issue with my interface since I’m not experienced with interfaces in general. I am using an MT48 interface on Audacity and I can't seem to get the EQ and reverb etc to record on Audacity. As in, I can adjust and hear my adjustments by speaking into the microphone connected to the interface, but when I record with Audacity, I do not hear any change, including reverb. I did turn on analog post FX and Optical Post FX, but still do not hear any change. I can hear myself through mic 1 and can hear activity on the computer through DAW 2.

It was mentioned that post effects would come out in line 13-16, and I’m starting to wonder if that isn’t something Audacity can choose. Should I work with the Apollo interface instead?

Under Windows, you may need to use ASIO to access all of the features of your MT48. Since Audacity does not support ASIO, you may have to find a DAW that does. E.g., Cakewalk, Ableton, etc.

FWIW, Audacity does support ASIO if you build it from source. Due to licensing issues we can't distribute a version of it though

That’s okay, I may still switch to Audacity and build ASIO from the source, since I like Audacity more and understand it way better than any other program, and I can keep everything in one place if I’m going to be using Audacity for the majority of the time anyway. I mainly wanted to try Ableton to confirm whether ASIO was what I needed to fully use the interface, so that I can confirm that ASIO is what I needed before the interface’s return policy expires lol.

Ah, hi. I'm sorry, but does anyone understand what the problem could be? I was trying to install ASIO to Audacity, and the final step to the instructions I was listening to said to enter this code into the command prompt for it to build Audacity with ASIO. But when I enter it, it stays to install Visual Studio 2022/Community, even though I already installed it. It's in the same drive as everything else I'm doing for this project.
