Having trouble with effects.

When ever i try to hit "apply" or just use the real time effect my timeline keeps reverted back to original audio and not being effected at all.

Hi. Could you please mention the version of Audacity that you are using and maybe the effect you are trying to apply. I can try to reproduce your issue.

I open the program and begin to record my audio like normal. I was doing voice clips because im doing a project with a friend.
We needed a retro game sounding effect so I got a VST called Time Machine. I went to the effects tab and clickapply but the effect was not being applied

So i decided to use the real time effects but everytime the change would occur i would hit pause and then play again and it would reset the effect and not save the effect.

Go to the Help menu and select the last option About Audacity. What effect are you trying to apply?

It was this third party VST called "TimeMachine"
