It will not let me record. There is no error or anything, I just recently re-downloaded the app because the shortcut for it was previously bugged, and would not let me use the app. But, now that i have reinstalled Audacity, and press the red record button, the line that shows its supposed to be recording pops up, but downs move an none of those blue audio bumps appear, is there a particular reason for this?

hi! Please check you have selected the device that you want to use for recording in the Audio Setup > Recording Device dropdown. You can also check that the Recording Level slider is not set to the minimum.
