#High-Pitched screaming when taking audio from guitar/amp

hi! Is your amp connected to a USB port on your PC or is it connected to an an analog audio jack (like a 3.5mm audio jack)?
it
it's connected via a 6.35mm jack through a adapter to aw 3.5mm, and its plugged into the microphone input
Does your PC includes a line-level input jack (it is commonly blue and is located in the back panel of your PC)?
uhhh lemme check
it does
but I tried that one before and it didn't record anything when I tried it
When you plug in the audio cable into the blue jack go to Audacity and select Transport > Rescan Audio Devices. After that go to Audio Setup > Recording Device and select something like Line Input.
I could try and edit it out using some software but i don't think I'm good enough to do that lol
I think it would be better to try to fix the connection issues instead of trying to remove the noise after the recording. I don't know much about that type of connection maybe other users can help you. For example I know there are direct injection boxes or ground loop isolators that could be helpful in your case. Do you have an image of the amp? to check the specs of the output?
Yes. It looks like the only output is for the headphones.
