In the latest version is there is a problem with overdub recording. Audacity seems to manage the computer's memory badly, the effect is that when I record, it interrupts my listening to the overdub track, but in the new track is recorded normally without interruptions.

hi! I made some tests with Audacity 3.2.1 using different audio hosts (MME, WASAPI and DirectSound) and 4 tracks in the project and I was able to overdub without hearing any interruption. Could you describe your issue a little further?

As long as you only have Audacity open, there is no problem, but the listened path starts to stutter when you have an open browser, e.g. Firefox with several tabs.

Is your computer being completely utilized when this issue occurs? Have you monitored your cpu usage while these issues occurred? Task manager shortcut is ctrl + shift + escape, or you can access it from the ctrl + alt + delete menu.
