Hello, Kaity6 is here

in this series, we explore the mechanics, to help people who want to understand how the game deeply works and can theory-craft their lineups

Today we will talk about the hero's attributes: Might, Armor, and Defense

as it can be seen in the image each hero has 4 specific stats siege is a little bit special so we will leave it to another day (maybe lol)

these three stats have 2 effects

1-Increase your troop stats: Might attack, Might defense, strategy attack, and strategy defense

research, alliance strongholds, and other sources can increase troop stats.

for example, when you research a technology that increases your troop attack by 2%, this means you have got 2% might attack and 2% strategy attack, the same thing can be said about defense

note: that damage in the game is classified into might damage and strategy damage, as you can guess the might damage increases by might attack% and is reduced by the enemy might defense%, the same thing is said for the strategy bonuses

but in this game, heroes can increase their troop stats as well, in the image: it's stated that every point of might will increase your might attack by 0.15%, for example, if a hero has 150 might that means
150 multiplied by 0.15%=22.5% might attack

the same thing is said for Armor and strategy but note that:
Might increases Might attack%
Armor increases Might Defense
Strategy increases both Strategy attack and ** strategy defense**

note: when there is more than a hero in a lineup, the troop bonuses gained will be based on the sum of the hero attributes
for example, If the armor of your heroes in a lineup is: 111.9, 130.4, 150.4 for each one of them
then troop bonus is:
111.9+130.4+150.4=329.7, then multiplied by 0.15%
the result is 58.905 might defense shared by your army that reduces the might damage taken

that's it for today, we discuss the second effect in ep2
thank you for reading and thank you!

Hi @minor horizon thanks for explaining the might and strategy thing. I have few more questions to under exactly how they work, It would be great if you know the answers :

  1. If we see the stats of unit types in the game (cav, inf, pikeman, archers) they have only Attack, Def and HP. (No mention of might or strategy)

Let's say the mentioned stats of a unit is
Atk: 115, Def:86, Hp: 86
Does it mean 1 unit of that type has ->
Might Atk = 115 and Strategy Atk = 115
Might Def = 86 and Strategy Def = 86
HP = 86 (I don't think might/strategy makes any sense incase of HP)

And let's say sum of Might, Armor and Strategy of our 3 heroes in a march is 100, 75, 50 respectively
I.e. we get Might attack bonus = 100×0.15 = 15%
Might Def bonus = 75x0.15 = 11.25%
Strategy atk and def bonus = 50x0.3 = 7.5%

Does it mean that the effective stats of our 1 unit (assuming there are no other bonuses) will become as follows :
Might atk = 115 + 15% = 132.25
Strategy atk = 115 + 7.5% = 123.6
Might Def = 86 + 11.25% = 95.67
Strategy def = 86 + 7.5% = 92.45
HP = 86

Is this understanding correct?

# sinful nest Hi <@275737590181789697> thanks for explaining the might and strategy thing. I ...

Hello, thank you for you comments again!

From my experience in how base stats in other games of this genre and even other genres your understanding is 100% correct!

But the problem in this game is that from my under against PvE the base stats of troops seem to not work at all, for example archers have more base attack than the other troops, but they don’t deal more damage if you can control the other factors, same thing is Pikemen and Swordsmen are not more tanky (they take the same damage from the enemies)

I don’t know how it works for PvP (probably it’s not different since that requires more work and efforts for no apparent reason)

I don’t know if this a bug or it’s intentional and the base stats work for something different
