When inside a custom purple gem chest it says: “Inlay to increase hero’s normal attack dmg by 1%”

These two tooltips conflict with each other. One implies it only helps the hero it is on. One implies it helps all 3 heroes in troop

1. Ignore the cavalry and pikes, I think you aren't the patient saver type so no point in advising you to save for Lu Bu in S2 (despite the fact he is the best and most op hero for low spenders/f2p by far)
