when i tried to positioning my osd elements on Mobula8-walksnail version, i got the message that my elements would be off bc of an older version of BF
after updating (saved the 4.3.2 diff) to 4.5.2 and loaded the older diff locally, installed the elements i want ,chooses the HD in the osd tab i didn't got any osd.. also tried the auto option in the tab, but that did not solve it.
in the ports tap i did set the msp+display (uart6) active but no osd, what am i missing?
any help would be mush appreciated.
#After updat from BF4.3.2 to BF4.5.2 osd is missing.

if i knew what you mean, i would do this.
you're given a step-by-step guide..
Thanks deadbyte, i'll try..

well, you don't have your ports tab configured. that's why
get the factory diff all backup and apply that
Thanks deadbyte, everything is working fine now!! very much appreciated !! i'm lost without your knowledge.. 😉
DSHOT600 with a BMI270 gyro?
just flew a couple of packs.. and it's dshot300
Hm, in those .txts it indeed is, but your original support ID showed 600
after i uploaded these dump files, checked.. it's dshot 300
Hello deadbyte, i noticed something strange after the update.. when i use a fully charged 2cel battery(HV) i got some erratic behavior when i want to takeoff.. the Mobula8 shoots to the roof.. and won't respond to the throttle.. when the voltage is down to 8volts it looks like it's okay.. what could this "challenge" mean?🤔
TBH, I'm not sure why.
HV or non-HV shouldn't really make that much of a difference here.
does it do it even though you're increasing the throttle slowly?
could you post anotherr support id please
Yes, it does, even when i increase it very slowly.. i checked bbl and saw that the chip was full, so i erased it and will do some flights.. also will change some settings bc i fly indoors and the rates are somewhat to high for me at the moment..

Here is the support data deadbyte...
and do you have a blackbox log of a flight where the erratic behavior manifested?
Yes, i think i have now.. after the last flight this morning..
how do i send this via this discord?
are you using all these options here?
e.g. are you going to put a gps on this drone?
just upload the blackbox file here, extracted from the FC's flash
most of it not..
ok, just a sec...
then could you save a backup of your current config via the presets tab, then reflash your flight controller without any of the options you're not ever going to use?
e.g. deselect acro-trainer, gps, OSD(Analog), LED strip, PinIO
leaving only OSD(Digital), VTX at the minimum
just send it..
ok, ..
why does airmode keeps turning on and off in this log?
your airmode is "always on"
oh, that's the first log..
i already put it on.. first did it on throttle.. bc after landing it was bouncing..
which log do you want me to check here?
trick is to disarm before the drone touches the ground
or have EZLanding enabled
just learned that..
none of these logs show the motor shooting up to max..
at any point in time
(other than those when it's "landed" and bouncing off the ground)
after reflashing, and after reapplying the config backup (via the presets tab)
clear the blackbox and do another flight with a fully-charged HV pack..
vrey strange indeed..
just flashed the new fm.. with only the things i need..
let you know how it went..
Re-flashed the FC, and only the necessary elements installed.. also the Elrs-dump and walksnail-dump files installed.. re-adjusted the rates to my needs and did the first.. also last.. testflight.. to the roof again..wrecked the Mipi cable and the Rx antenna.. after i dismantled all i saw that the soldering job on the FC was onions.. very bad.. re-soldered the motor connectors, did removed the solderblob from the onboard Rx and replaced the Rx for an RP1 radiomaster.. als loaded the 4.3.2 diff.. and gues what.. the Mobula flies like a homesick angel.. blasted 8packs trough is without any problems.. also went outside in moderate wind and the little bugger fought like a tiger.. tbh.. i ordered 3 mipi cables on A.E. and a new Vtx mini.. till that arive i use the Mobule for l.os. and nose-in training..
Thank you again for your time and expertise Deadbyte!!!
🍻
Glad you got that sorted after all those mishaps. enjoy the wins.. happy flying
Thank you Grandmaster!!
ah.. I'm nowhere near that.. 🙂
you answerd all my questions.. i'm fairly new to these configurators and not much of an software engineer.. but you know your stuff.. i see your nick ' all over the place '.. do what you're doing best Deadbyte.. Cheers!!
