On the speedybe tx800 there are normal soldering pads and a jst connector socket. Can you buy the jst-connector cable that plugs into this socket on the vtx and ends in four wires seperatly or do I have to solder it via the pads on the vtx?

I am sorry, but I am unable to answer that question. I recommend taking a look at the general details on VTX configuration in the VTX documentation or the VTx CLI commands. Also check out the general information about connecting the VTX.

Yeah, got a kit with pre-crimped wires and a bunch of connectors, 3 pins up to I think 8 pins. Can combine them however I want.
(Only downside of this kit is the wires are fixed-length with just one length in the kit, so to shorten them I'd need to cut them and solder it together again..)
