Problems getting whoop out of pit mode(no probs when done with a switch)

So basically that's the issue, when I do that with a slider/potentiometer. Any ideas why? Slider basically goes through the whole range of the vtx table values, starting with the pit mode and ending up with the strongest vtx value. That's why I want to keep it on the slider
