#Problem Flashing Betaflight Software
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
When flashing/connecting for the first time, the default driver setup on your Windows machine may be incorrect. The ImpulseRC Driver Fixer tool can quickly and easily fix the drivers, and even automatically put your FC into DFU mode to flash directly if you're having issues.
It can be downloaded at the link below:

i already have it
What happens when you run it?
it says its installing the dfu driver
That's good.... please let me know what happens when it finishes.
it says all drivers fixed
OK, try the firmware flash again now.
still says failed
im in dfu bootloader but betaflight can somehow not enter my fc to flash
OK, so is the flight controller connected to Betaflight in DFU mode?
yes
But when you click the flash button it cannot flash because it says it cannot connect?
Can you please try the "no reboot" option on the firmware flasher too?
thats what im getting (the red text) its in german so dont wonder
i have it on
And you have tried if off, right?
yea
(you tried no-reboot on and off?)
yes
OK, do you have the ZADIG USB driver installer?
i think it has to do something with my pc, that there are no permissions to enter the port
yes i installed the drivers
Reboot your pc
i did
After installing the dfu driver?
SIlly question, have you tried this with Betaflight versions other than 4.5? I had this happen with someone recently and it wouldn't work with 4.5, but did with older versions - doesn't make sense to me, but that's what happened.
OK, that's what I hoped would happen, so that at least it's consistent.
So, if you unplug the Flight controller and plug it back in, does Betaflight connect back in OK?
yes
OK, I have seen this a bit and most of the time, re-running the impulse RC driver fixer corrects the issue (sometimes in combination with turning no-reboot on/off). I would also suggest trying another available USB port, if you haven't already.
Another thing to try is to press the boot button on the flight controller, then plug it in to USB so that you got straight into DFU inside Betaflight, instead of plugging in, then switching to bootloader for the flash.
I don't know if this will help, but it's worth a try.
Im already doing This
I guess try another computer if you can?
just in case somthing missed: https://hackmd.io/@nerdCopter/rJv5TUrQ2
recommend latest nightly configurator rather than 10.9 release. https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight-configurator-nightlies/releases
@Levin i had same problem, do know why but when i disconnected the elrs rx it worked. i could flash.
Maybe you have the Guillemot driver conflict issue
That issue you're speaking of is dfu hijacking, because it enters dfu mode it's not going to be that issue here. It seems to be a conflict after it's in dfu bootloader where flash is blocked
Ok just mentioned because had same issue with the f405mini
