The only way my rx and tx will bind is via any usb power source? If I plug in a pack no connection. If I plug the usb from my fc into ANYTHING. A powerbank, the wall betaflight etc... My radio will instantly bind up and I can fly. "Disclaimer" I am totally new to all of this so user error is a definite possibility.
Please help!!

I was up until 6:30 this morning trying to fix this issue and I am at my wits end. I have swapped to rx for another new one a friend had and had the same result. Any one that has some real working knowledge of this issue your help would be beyond huge!!!
Thank you all in advance.

Here are the details:
Brand new (unflown) Cinebot hd 30 6s
Radiomaster boxer
Happymodel ep2 tcxo

betaflight configurator 10.10.0
both rx/tx have the same binding phrase and lscript is 250hz

Have you tried wiring it to a different set of pads for power? (soldered it to a different set of power and ground pads)

I have not thought of that but that is a good idea. I guess I was just thinking the issue was me or a software thing instead of hardware. Thank you!

Remove the SBUS wire from your VTX

#

Sounds like you have a DJI VTX with the SBUS wire connected, which means you have two receivers connected to the same UART. When the DJI VTX is powered on by plugging in a battery, the ELRS receiver no longer works.

Depin, unsolder, or cut the SBUS wire

So maybe this is still due to me simply not having enough information or knowledge. But I tried this and did not have any luck. I looked up the diagram from dji pulled the pin on the yellow wire. And, no joy...
In fact my problems got worse. plugged into betaflight and as soon as it got power from usb once again it connected. I could see my modes worked, hooked up a pack and disconnected from the computer and it would not arm. Plugged back into betaflight. flipped the switch in the motors tab and spun the motors up. Dissconnected and it would suddenly (this has happend preveously) arm. Then I had no osd.
Plugged the yellow wire back into the board put everything back as it was and all is well save for having to use my fc usb port as a litteral jump box..

I am sure this is all of my own doing but this thing is beating me up!
First times are never the best times I guess.
.
Thank you very much for your time and your help.
If you can possibly let me know what I am doing wrong I would be beyond greatful.

Did the quad come as a "bind and fly" - in other words, was everything wired in when you got it - other than the receiver - or did you have to wire everything in yourself?

#

(And did you try looking for another set of power/ground pads to run the VTX from?)

#

Secondly, is there any chance you can take a bunch of photos of the wiring on the FC and the corresponding wiring on the VTX, so we can have a look at how it all is?

It came as a George cinebot had 30 6s pnp. They call it pnp as there is no rx. They also send it with the information and show you where and how to solder the rx to the correct pads. However, because the 03 air unit can connect to a dji radio it is basically a bind n fly for dji products. This I did not know. So after I soldered in the rx as per the nomenclature sent with the unit the problems began. The issue is definitely caused from both the rx and the 03 air unit using the same uart and r2 (pad on one end pin one the other but they are both on r2 or uart2 as I understand it) so this causes a conflict. The folks at geprc and V-22 on here both said to disconnect the sbus wire for the vtx. The trouble is that evidently all sorts of different manufacturers are using and building there own cables for the 03 with different pin outs and different colors. So there is a good chance I have simply disconnected the wrong wire. Either way I will see if I can figure out how to get some photos posted up on here later today. Thank you all very, very much for all of the help and advice you guys are awesome!!!

I will try and get some photos and info up later today.

Thanks again!!

What color is the sbus wire?
I just want to be sure before I do anymore poking around. Thank you so much for all the help!!

#

The problem is everyone is making there own cables and they do it match the schematics for dji. I have an assumption however I wanted to source advice from someone more knowledgeable then myself. Thanks again!

Use the air unit as your reference

It looks like green is your SBUS wire.

(if the wiring diagram is accurate - and I think it is as it's taken directly from the manual)
