So I just finished a build. Everything came out great. Went to test fly to check out what I need to do with filters and was going to tune it. Everything is on stock pids and filters. Very little throttle Input and it takes off on its own unresponsive. In a feedback loop. Here’s what I’m using.
Betaflight 4.4.2.
Frame: Apex evo
FC/ESC Stack: Mamba mk4 h743 (dual icm 42688 gyros )
Motors: Aos supernova
Vtx: Dji o3 air unit
Radio: dji fpv rc2
Batteries: 6s tattu 5.0 150c
Now I’ve tried running both gyros and using one at a time. Ive double checked esc settings. Everything I can think of. Contacted Diatone/PYRODRONE and Diatone sent me a new fc thinking the gyro was bad. I received it today, and what do you know, same results. Same flyaways. Default everything. Goes into a loop and goes crazy full rpm’s. any suggestions on how to get quad in the air would be appreciated

With that gyro you need to consider running one of the development versions later than 4.4.2 i.e. 4.4.3z or 4.5z depending on what level of risk you want to take
There was a bug fix for that gyro
Possibly something else going on, I don't remember it being that bad. Post a photo of your capacitors
right now im using a 35v 1000uf panasonic fm series right at te esc, i tried changing the fc with a speedybee w/ a bmi270 , flies great with that , but with mamba mk4 ive tried 2x fc and both go into this crazy feedback loop, diatone reached back out and said basically it works and they cant help anymore, that theres some kind interferance causing it. im trying to decide if i wanna try adding cap to the 3.3v rail somewhere near the gyro but im not sure exactly where i would even fit one.
ill try the development releases and see if it helps
Hmm sounds like your cap should be more than enough, and a good brand too
