(CAUTION VIDEO LOUD) I was trying out GPS rescue yesterday and it landed 10/10 times with no problems whatsoever apart from the pumping while my 7 inch build was descending which I believe is only due to an incorrect hover value. Today I went for a another few flights to further test it at greater range with no problem until on my third test the quad decided to spin in a circle and reorientate the home direction in the opposite direction to where it really was.

After this it spun in a few circles and decided to disarm itself as if it had already landed. Attached is the video of the whole rescue mode issue.

I am puzzled as to why the home gps coordinates would change suddenly then revert back to normal after taking back control after rescue was switched off.

Any help or insight into the problem is appreciated.

# brazen yew Hello did you already fix it ?

No, I have not flown since then so I have not been able to replicate the issue. I just wanted to know what the problem was so I can avoid such a situation or make my gps rescue more reliable.

this is a known issue in 4.4.x gps code. Please only fly Betaflight 4.5 Zulu for gps rescue.
