It depends on your specific GPU, what ports the monitors are plugged into, and how fast the monitor controllers are
You can try plugging your y70 into a different port on your GPU but its possible your specific card has DP at a higher priority than HDMI.
Or if it's not the gpu it's possible that the y70's panel has a faster display controller and is first to report back to the GPU that it's available during POST
