Hi, I'm building a pc and second guessing my part choices. If anyone could take a look at the list attached and tell me if it's alright or have a better suggestion (or if I'm missing anything), that'd be great!

So far, I've bought the SSD, RAM, and CPU. My main confusion is the motherboard and whether a CPU cooler is a good idea vs the stock. I guess for fans, I'd go with Lian Li SL infinity? I went with the Hyte Y60 snow white case.

Gunna be honest - I've no idea what I'm doing 😰

Thank you,

i would defnitely reccomend a cpu cooler considering your going for a i7 12th gen

#

considering you bought rgb ram im assuming you can afford a nh d15

Stock coolers are notoriously bad, I don't know about the current gen ones, but historically speaking

intel generally has the worst stock coolers from what I've heard

Depends on if you want a big block in the middle of your build or not

The 12700 doesnt come with a stock cooler anyways

#

any new cpu after 11th gen from intel just get a aftermarket cooler

Oh okay! Heard a few comments on stock coolers being ass - I'll go for a cooler then. Thank you for the help guys!

The 3070 is a great card but it may not be enough. A lot of Newer AAA games are looking for min of 12gb vram but 16gb would be preferable.

8gb vram is still good for now, but not for long. So keep that in mind while selecting a GPU.

running at 4k ultra settings maybe but theres no point in running that in most cases

#

otherwise a 3070 will last for years

Lets see if the game creators feel the same way as you. But they are already pushing for more vram. Now if you have a low refresh rate monitor that is another topic and the 3070 will last you for a long time. but if you are getting a 160Hz or better monitor you really want to get as close to that as possible. The 3070 will struggle even at 1440. The reviews are out there I am not making this stuff up out of thin air.

I've been gaming over a decade at this point and finally decided to up my refresh rate from 60, you don't need that speed
