I did a carian moonknight and my spell order is this if you wanna use it for inspiration: carian slicer, gavel of haima, adulas moonblade, carian piercer, greatblade phalanx, rellanas twin moons, rannis dark moon

In doing a build with the sorcery sword and I had something similar spellwise but with more ranged spells. Been trying to get into the realm of shadow for the moon and glint trio but haven’t been able to have mohg assassinated get

it very much is so far. It’s not a very good catalyst with barely 300 scaling but man it is so incredibly fun to use because it’s the only sword catalyst. For some reason not a somber weapon though.

If you like weapon catalysts you should try elden ring reforged at some point that mod reworks a lot of weapons to be catalysts

Only issue in comparison to sorcery sword is that the mod uses block+light attack to cast, which preserves the heavy attack but feels more clunky

I mostly just play vanilla but dont discount mods. Seamless coop is the best elden ring coop experience and overhaul mods are fun to play every now and then.

Plus you dont need to worry about not being able to play vanilla or borking your saves. I currently have seamless and reforged installed, both use separate save files so my vanilla saves are safe. And i can play vanilla at any time because both mods have their own launchers

My first ever character was a quality/faith build and my second was a bow only build. rakshasa legs are the same colour as the dung eater legs, so i suppose they’d still work. otherwise use crucible knight or radahn legs (maybe even freyja legs)

well, you can use sets of armour to begin with. knight set, solitude set, blaidd's set (except the helmet), any of the enemy knight sets, etc

if you want to mix and match, a good starting point is finding pieces with matching metal colours

you could also use the greathelm, tree surcoat, chain gauntlets, and chain legs. that's a simple and solid look

Am wanting to make a bug themed build, any ideas for a chest plate and or armor? The helm is gonna be a scarab of course but idk what armor looks “bug-y”

the mismatched metal colours does not look too good. try to find some leg armour that matches the colour of the drake metal

however, i do like the look of cloth coming from under the chest armour
