You will be able to play spell blade early on into the game btw!
You will find a certain castle, inside a secret loot room contains the blackflame blade, which lasts short but it's effect is mighty, it coats your weapon with blackflame, which adds fire damage to your weapon that scales with faith and adds percentage health damage to your weapon, it is a mighty spell indeed, you'll also find the blackflame fireball spell, which allows you to cast a raging ball of black flame, all black flame incantations apply percentage health damage

There's the holy spellblade build, it coats your weapon in sacred power, this set of spells are specially deadly against the undead, usually with undead enemies they will regenerate themselves, not when they're killed with holy damage though, and this holy blade spell lasts very long, there are many holy spells that work very well together

Another one of the spellblade build is the lightning spellblade build, adds lightning damage to your weapons and scales with faith, there are many lighting spells in the game, some of them are very exciting, you'll find some in your journey

There are some other spell blade builds though they do not use a staff or sacred seal (sacred seal is basically staff for a faith user), they're more so hybrid builds, they add flat damage and status build ups to the weapon by the use of what's called an ash of war, ashes of war are abilities all weapons have, some weapons have special ashes of war whereas some don't, and instead you can find lone ashes of war and place them in your weapon
