pebble is decent fp efficiency wise, however if you need good early game spells then look up rock sling and carian slicer
and get meteor staff (best early game staff)

having 60 vigor allows you to make mistakes and not get combo'd to death
you do not gain as much damage from stats as you think you do, when percentage boosts exist that give meaningful damage

Whats the strategy for dealing with rl1 Malenia, I am struggling big rn, after 2 hours i can hit phase 2 somewhat consistently

for phase 1 Malenia her kick is punishable, and so is her leftwards dodge (to your left). also staying in a mid range from her makes it so she only attacks you sometimes rather than full aggro as phase 1 is a lot more passive so you can use that to get extra hits in. I used great katana with the piercing fang AOW and using what i said along with the ash of war you can stagger her in 3 hits. other than that the only things to watch out for and learn to dodge is waterfowl of course as well as any attack where she creates sparks with her weapons before attacking like the thrust to you, the flip into the ground slam, or the regular slicing. there is also another attack for her p1 which is the regular sweeping blade attacks you dont want to stay close for those always try to dodge away. and if none of what i am saying makes sense there is a really good youtube video which explains all of these ideas a lot better than me its called in depth malenia tutorial its ~20 mins long i think and goees over every attack for p1 and 2.

hes really fast, so i wouldnt reccomend a lot of lightning spells for the fact their windup is crazy

you could try lightning grease or some other buff instead

or just use a weapon with lightning damage
