we are playing icewind dale with some homebrew, party of 5. im an varian human echo knight fighter, my girlfriend is an elf warlock/wizard multiclass, then we have the human assassin, a tiefling ranger, and a dragonborn paladin
we just did a homebrewed quest to fix up a fancy magic crossbow the assassin inherited from an ancestor, and was told about how to fix by a retired member of his assassins guild who is also stuck in the dale
so we go to a spider infested crystal mine that has a path to the underdark, and find a horrific homebrewed fusion of a phase spider and a deep spider + 4 giant spiders and a lair action to summon spider swarms.
we win the fight without too too many problems and harvest the highest quality silk, but on the way out the warlock/wizard fails a wis save and gets entranced by the gems and wants to mine some out. my character decides to stay with her, incase more monsters show up as my build is great at guarding and zone control
the others wait outside
our assassin, now with his fancy spidersilk in hand, decides waiting the hour for our wizlock is too much and heads out alone to meet with his assassin contact and fix the crossbow
random encounter is rolled, auril shows up in a blizzard and sics a coldlight walker on him. he tries to hide, but fails.

To anyone who has played it is it possible to kill Sturm in Res8 during the first encounter/chase scene 🤔 cause I know it’s a necessity later on and during the cutscene they kinda build up the point that typical damage won’t hurt him as shown when Ethan attempts to shoot at it- but like has anyone tried to fight it with mines and other explosives or is it just entirely invulnerable during the first encounter. I haven't played that specific Lego game, but the other ones were fun. Simple. Easy to pick up, mess around, have a good time and then put back down after 20 minutes without missing much.
It took me 4 times to beat the witcher just because of how long the game was, but it was an amazing experience all the way through. I have 138 hours in it and I've only beaten it once

firecracker i find sometimes takes too long and by the time i've reacted to her doing her grab and then try to deploy the firecrackers, before they can go off she grab me (and since i wasn't using any prayer beads, her grab oneshot me)

Very fun, she made me much better at deflecting and her attacks were difficult, but fair so I knew every mistake I made was my own, and that made me want to fight her more and more

Well then, I just hope I upgrade my firecrackers before the next snake eyes. If that don’t work, I’ll just dodge as usual
