Nightmare King Grimm is probably my number one pick for the worst designed boss in any game ever

Perhaps maybe best out by Radahn in Elden Ring. But at least you can cheese Radahn and just summon people if you give up on even trying. Nightmare King Grimm can just block you off from the rest of the DLC.

Pure Vessel is at least fun. So I at least have some minor incentive to keep trying. But still bullsh*t.

NKG is simply a frame perfect boss with half of his move set being untelegraphed and unreactable.
Thats the most basic way to describe it.

I don't think so, it's basically just learning the attack patterns and responding fast enough (that's why it's a Souls-like). I've beaten everything in Hollow Knight except for the 5th Pantheon

Hollow Knight definitely isn't a Souls Like. It doesn't follow the formula of "Being unbearably hard the first time then never again after you learn it." It's just easy in every part of the game except the very end secret bosses and DLC.

And you know? The bosses themselves wouldn't even be that bad, if it wasn't for one thing.

They add new bosses in these DLC's, but nothing significant to buff your character with. Nothing to combat them with.
This is fine in some games, but even say, Dark Souls 3, which has an unbearably, unquinchably hard DLC, both of them, they still have new weapons and equipment to combat it. Stuff to buff you.

Hollow Knight just gives you a funny bat guy that spits out 1 damage every 3 seconds.

Hollow Knight is definitely not a Souls-Like, using the right charms for each boss is definitely the way to go, and then after you’re confident enough it’s just rinse and repeat until you beat them, I’ve been able to do everything in hollow knight except for Pantheon 4 and 5, I’ve even gotten the achievement for speedrun under 5 hrs, it’s really all about how much damage your nail does and if you have the right charms

On Steam Hollow Knight is tagged as a Souls-like. In my opinion, it's one of the things that shouldn't be changed about the game. Replayablity and game longevity is difficult enough to make in games, especially for single player RPGs. Having quests that can mess up and having it be obscure makes the game more replayablity and and fun having different experiences throughout the game. Eileen dies in playthrough one, make sure Eileen lives in playthrough two. When it comes to the vagueness of the quests, it's really all about community, it's about discovering the worlds From makes and sharing it with everyone. Unfortunately the internet moves really fast and spoilers tend to be around every corner, so I do think From need to change something if they want to keep that magic alive

I just found out that you can meet Bernahl way early in the game before he puts on his helmet and joins Volcano Manor, I missed him at the early meeting place first time around so I think it's pretty cool seeing him without the helmet, holding the sword instead of the serpent weapon, and actually seeing Grace as a good thing

Wolfenstein is a really cool series, I own the collectors edition for the 2nd one. I like the feel and the tone of the first game more and the art style, but the 2nd game has really beautiful graphics and better gameplay (not to say the first game has bad gameplay) and the Story is really good in both
