I’m a lover of a good meme, and as I’ve been nearing the end of the game I’ve been theorizing some ways to make people laugh in Invasion with some themed/goofy builds.

And wondered if ya’ll had any refinements or ideas of your own.

So far I have:

Smurgl the Treasure Goblin

• Make your character green, wearing only a imp mask and pants
• Use all the sneaky talismans and incantations (Silent Footsteps, Invis crouching, long fall, spell duration)
• Use the Mimic Veil to hide
• If the players manage to find you, use Darkness or Rejection and run.
• If they hit you, do a groveling gesture. If they don’t kill you, drop a big rune for them and disconnect.

Invincible Tank Man

• Level only enough strength and dex to wield a fingerprint shield and a great sword. Put all the rest in Endurance. Do not put any points in Vigor.
• Wear the tankiest armor in the game you can find
• Use both Soreseals, Daedicar’s Woe, and Crucible Feather
• Point down when you see the host, be as rude as possible
• Get one shot by the tiniest poke, despite looking like a tanky poise monster
• Give opponent confusion/satisfaction

Screaming Steve

• Wear maximum Focus Armor
• Drink Cerulean Hidden Tear Physik
• Only use Unendurable Frenzy as your only attack. Never stop using it, regardless of Madness.

There are 3 main differences from elden ring to dark souls 3. No map: the progression and levels in dark souls 3 is like a tree, pretty much a straight path but there are some branching areas. No dedicated jump button: you rarely have to jump in dark souls 3 so having a dedicated jump button isn't super important, though you still can jump in game. No mount: since the progression is more linear, open spaces are rare but filled to the brim with coll details and areas.
Elden ring and DS3 (dark souls 3) share alot of similarities, the upgrade systems are generally the same. the stats are very similar (vigor/vitality, endurance, intelligence, dexterity, strength, and faith being almost identical. Arcane in DS3 is just called luck and it does the same thing). The types of weapons and amount of weapons is generally the same.

Imo it's the most similar souls game to elden ring and I think you should get it. There's a lot of content to unpack with the game so you'll be playing for a while!

Why Dark Souls 1 is so boring compared to Elden Ring?

Ofc Dark Souls 1 is boring compared to the newest evolution of it lol, that's like asking why Ocarina of Time isn't as thrilling as Breath of the Wild. Waaay different era, limitations, etc. But I will say that DS1 has the best map layout objectively, so I think that's a big factor for a lot of people. As for NPC's, bosses (god no), plot, etc, that's all subjective and you could reasonably debate some of those things.

There's a loooot of graces in ER, almost too many at times. I love them in dungeons because they're the perfect amount but there are some graces in the open world that can literally be seen by other graces and it's a bit much.

Catacombs are just slightly more unique chalice dungeons, they're sort of expected to be copy-pasted tbh with the sheer amount of how many they are and how limited their deadline is while making the rest of the game. Not really defending them, but if you played Bloodborne you'd probably be going "Holy crap, they really salvaged that concept and did it more justice than last time, maybe next time they'll be great"

Lol, that catacomb really got me too. Took me like 30 mins to realize what I was doing wrong.

I enjoyed that one cave with the dragon bones and ice floor. It was clever how they made you progress through that one.

This is a general question for anyone here: What are your opinions on cheating?

I'm referring to single player only. I personally don't see a huge problem with single player cheating unless it effects other people around them (Like someone cheating and acting like they are better than everyone else. That is just obnoxious.)
When I think about multiplayer cheats I think back to DS1 where people created whole boss fights and it was amazing and extremely fun. But this is a case is very rare with cheaters.

As a note, I don't cheat. I consider doing it all the time, but I stick to the game and what's in it.

I mean like being able to just toss in a new character in a pvp only area with a starting level choice of like 80-120 with about a 20 level difference between each tier.
That character has a point buy for that level based on that tier's level, minimum stat level is 8 (so you could lower a couple of useless stats to boost some others).
And you get a choice of like 6 pieces of armor, talismans, and 4 weapons maybe.

the demon souls remake was really good, if you play ds3 before 1 you won't like 1. (personal experience and a few other people I know felt the same way). I haven't been able to play it but Bloodborne was apparently made really well.
