that part of the medallion is required to have another piece which can be found in the Albinaurics grace.
you take it to the elevator thing, i cant remember what its called. the giant lift thing that you use to go to the mountaintops.
you can switch action to use secret medallion, and itll take you to the lower part of the mountaintops if i remember correctly

In souls games and this is specially true Elden ring, if you get difficulty walled by a boss, just go do dungeons, progress story, explore, not worth it to just stay there getting fustrated when you could be having fun doing literally any other thing

Hello i already asked this question yet didn't recieve any solutions so want to try 1 more time. So, the problem is that when i was talking to Milena near volcano and she asked me to commit sin (i accepted) my game crashed. and so after i reload the game i'm still sitting near volcano instead of teleportin to farum azula. but the sin was commited so i can't start new dialogue with Milena. and so the question is how to get to farum azula without dialogue or am i just softlocked forever

Hello, this problem i have isn't entirely tied to Elden Ring but I figured I'd head here because it happened to me for the first time and it was with Elden Ring. When I started the game today it asked me that Elden Ring's data weren't uploaded to steam or something. I wasn't really thinking and clicked download data from cloud to my machine and that was a mistake... It overwritten my data (around 4 hours of gameplay) and rolled me back. My question is if I somehow can retrieve the data that I had in my computer before I downloaded the old save file from steam cloud?

Because the "Forward+Heavy Attack" was a jump attack, and the Kick was turned into an Ash of War.

So basically they removed a part of clunky controls that led to players kicking when they wanted to attack normally, and made jump attacks much easier and consistent to use.
So all in all, they majorly improved the controls of the game, removing much of the clunkiness and issues that were in previous games, while still keeping the controls similar enough to allow veterans to jump in and play without issues.

That second point is mostly likely the main reason we still dodge roll and sprint with the same button instead of changing controls around to make dodging/sprinting more responsive.

fights can be challenging without being unfair, you do understand that right? a good fight is one that rewards being skillful, and there are a pretty large number of fights that dont reward skill as much as luck with boss attack rng. radahn is a great example of this too, its basically a spectator fight because you cant really viably fight him in melee consistently

hey im not saying that there arent fair fights at all. there are plenty of fair and well designed bosses, margit is one, tree sentinel is another, dragons, even fallingstar beasts are fair fights. but stuff like radahn, radagon, duo bosses like godskin duo, theyre just not that fun to deal with cuz its a lot of rng you have to hope for to have a clean fight

radahn is a whole different beast though, there isnt a solid and consistent strategy no matter how well you learn his attacks cuz all it takes is for him to use the collapsing stars spell then the weapon art singularity thing and you die instantly with no counter

Fighting two bosses at once is a nightmare but at the end I think it’s probably the most rewarding feeling. I had to buff up my health a ton for that fight and reset my stats a couple of times to beat him

Level yourself up, put some stats into strength and go though that place. That's the first area in the game so unless you've cleared the castle you don't really have a good reason to be in any other region of the map unless to uncover the map peices. Farm in the swamp and wood areas in limegrave, go kill the bosses in stormveil, then focus on other things.

in my opition it is, empty open world. repetitive bosses, recycled bosses and areas, few good bosses only, almost zero secrets after few hours because eberything is the same. Why does Elden Ring use EOS (Epic Online Services) API? I started getting freezes after recent patch and after looking at the crash dumps I found that it has EOS related DLL's loaded in Elden Ring. Sure enough, moving out those DLL's for the Epic Social Overlay (From Epic Games Launcher, NOT Elden Ring DLL's) seems to have fixed my freezes and maybe also increased performance (though that could just be placebo).

Does it say "X is playing Elden Ring" in Epic Store for anyone, on their friends list? Or maybe Elden Ring left in stuff for a future Epic Store release? Or maybe they made a deal with Epic so Epic can spy gather data on people playing Elden Ring, despite it being a Steam game?

What does black bars have to do with fps cap sorry? And I mean, like I said, maybe you should not cry "bad port" without even trying to remove the fps hack... I mean come on, you've modded the game so you really have zero right to complain about bugs unless you remove the hack.

The 60fps cap is there for multiplayer reasons probably, yeah I know it sucks having a cap on PC but it helps netcode be easier and more consistent. Also they might be planning cross-platform multiplayer so that is a good reason to keep it on. But maybe they will increase it later.

Physics != Netcode. The game is probably either 30 or 60tps (ticks per second) so making it also cap at 60fps means the render loop and logic loop are easily kept in-sync without complicated math that will create overhead. Maybbe someone who knows more about Dark Souls hacking would have more info because its almost certainly the same engine as all the previous games, just upgraded.

Or, maybe the physics ARE locked to the frames, because there are server-side physics, kind of like what Rocket League does 😉 which is definitely not a bad decision but a technical feat in and of itself.
