I was a strength build with a giant axe.

I got Sister Friede to like around 1/4 of a health bar in her 3rd phase, that was the best solo run I had against her...

Meh, I liked both Cyberpunk 2077 and FF7 Remake on PC. Only issue I had was PS icons instead of Xbox.

Cyberpunk 2077 has some performance issues tho. I was getting around 120 FPS, which is not super ideal for first person, but meh, at least better than BF2042 😂 and FF7 was dead locked at 120 the entire time, which is enough for Controller movement.

For example, in the Nioh 1 alpha or beta, whichever came first, the weapons all had durability.

Then that got scrapped because of feedback.

stay at a distance of about 3-5 meters from him, it'll constantly trigger his swipe, which leaves him open for a dash and strike

imagine there is a 3 point line around him.

it took me a while to figure that one out

of course you gotta run when he pukes, but beside that, if you stay at the '3 point line' radius, you will get large openings.

and of course keep your guard up in case he clips you.

I always try and beat Midir solo because I don't have PS+, and his NPC Summon is pretty useless when it comes to their health.

Plus it adds like 50% with every summon so I just thought "why bother when its Midir".

Aim for the head; if you do more damage with his head then everywhere else on his body, he'll open himself up for a riposte.

And besides your actual critical attack damage, the riposte will also take a flat 2000 HP from him.

Its all about memorization, remembering his moveset and behaviors.

If he's pulling himself back after an attack, dodge because he's gonna dash towards you.

You'll have enough I-frames

I prefer staying on his right (so our left) side during his little claw swipes.

During his stand-up breath attack, I forget but I do know that running behind him during that attack isn't as good as other directions.

His Laser either oneshots or does a massive amount of damage so try your best to dodge during that time.

Also, when he does his little aerial breath attack, run to the right of where his fire is spraying.

It doesn't spread that way as much as it does when you're on the other side.

Sekiro had the best button response, how's the sensitiveness on the movement and trigger?

I'd say it's pretty good, felt more responsive than DS3 in most cases.

Like you might know already, ER replaces Dark Souls's R1 Spam with something more or less similar to Bloodborne's weapon attack chains.

And R2 attacks seem more important now, since I think they do more Poise Damage to enemies when compared to R1 attacks.

Similar idea with jump attacks, Shield Counters, and etc.

Oh yeah, rolling seems a bit tighter now though.

And the distance of Quick rolls is much closer to DS1 than DS3's.

Distance, not length, distance.

Guarding felt nice too, since it no longer ate up so much stamina from enemy attacks.

Spell Attack Chains felt really good too.

No more spells shooting out of your hand.

I'd say spells seem to definitely be useful during close combat as well.

Lances felt a little slow for me but I think it could work.

Especially the jump attack variation.

Reminds me a bit like using the Shuriken in Sekiro now that I think about it.

yeah, it was the semi quicker 3 R1 spam, high-low-high hit that I spammed right at the end as the finisher.

with no estus. I said, just get these 3 punches through!

yeah, the build up for the first hit is a lil' bit long, but the second hit on the lift is pretty nice with that weapon.

I kept thinking the weight on the fume would stagger him more, and likely make for an easier fight,
but that wasn't the case unfortunately.

I used darkmoon infused fume

it wound up being lucky dodges and R1 to beat him.

Dodged most attacks, two full charged attacks will stagger him

although I did have him down to 1 hit with the Fume, but I stood too close to him like an idiot with no stamina when I should have backed out and waited for an opening

that's what lead to an hour string of deaths.

hit the hole in his second phase, that staggers him, it's just tough to get the angle on him because it's so dangerous to be on his sword side.

But I was COMPLETELY naive to anything in the Soulsbourne Genre, so I knew literally nothing.

my first run of DS 3 took me about 75 hours, lololol. but I was HOOKED after that.
