It's definitely worth getting. The first time experience through Lordran is very fun, and you'll wanna go in blind if you haven't seen much of it. And after some time there'll be a mod called Nightfall coming out after Elden Ring, being a direct "sequel" after the ending in Dark Souls. Level design in great, and the connectivity of the levels are seamless. Highly recommended you play the Remastered edition.

If anything, stronger recommendation for dark souls 3 because the combat is most similar to elden ring

Thats true, but with experience i found out that ds3 is literally a cakewalk, when in ds1 bossfights are super easy, but getting to the boss without running past all enemies but fighting them, is hell (and bonfires are less common compared to ds1)

Ds2 is weird, the bosses themselves are generally super easy, but the way to them is packed the the brim with enemies
